Desired Outcomes
Desired outcomes that miss the mark,
When someone wishing 'assumes'...
Another to be accountable,
For that which is not heard or mentioned...
From them to set into motion,
To initiate a start in waiting that hesitates.
This...
Becomes fated to never surface,
To see the light of day!
And yet,
People on the fence sitting...
Expect attention,
They seldom get.
Even at the height...
Of their questionable protests,
And public fights ignited...
For rights demanded.
As if these should be to them handed.

Revealed To Make Known
What are you doing?
You can't do that.
'What do you mean,
What am I doing?
I am holding myself accountable,
For my own actions.'
But...
What about the people?
'What about the people? '
What will they do now?
They are accustomed to finding fault.
And blaming with accusations,
Those who normally deny any participation...
In creating to initiate forward movements they have made.
What do you expect me to say to them?
Since now I find myself in a unique situation.
'Say something like...
You people are plucking on my last nerve.'
But then they will turn on me,
Because they will feel offended by the message.
'Great!
Now you know why others are reluctant,
To take the responsibility to become messengers.
And think of it this way...
You will not have to question,
Whether or not you have gotten their undivided attention.
People do not keep that a secret,
To be revealed to make known.'

The Soldier Fights
the soldier fights for the hippys rights to protest against that soldier
the soldier fights for the politions rights to send that soldier to war
the soldier fights for buisness mans rights to make money
the soldier fights for the policemans rights to arrest that soldier
the soldier fights for school kids right to know about past soldiers
the soldier fights to so that you may all sleep at night
the soldier fights for religion so that you may all belive what you wish
And yet the soldier fights on
the soldier fights for his flag, for his country, for his life
Sitting On A Fence
Sitting on a fence is a man who sees no sense in fighting
Sitting on a fence is a man who sees no sense at all
Sitting on a fence is a man who strokes his twenty beards
Sitting on a fence is a man who drink real ale
But the real problem with this man
Is he says he cant when he can
Hed rather not get his hands dirty
Hell still be there when hes thirty
I told myself to keep my mouth shut
But I still end up saying if and but
I lied to myself right from the start
And Ive just worked out that Im falling apart
Sitting on a fence
Sitting on a fence is a man who looks up to his guardian
Sitting on a fence is a man who swings from poll to poll
Sitting on a fence is a man who sees both sides of both sides
Sitting on a fence is a man who looks down on opinion
But the real problem with this man
Is he says he cant when he can
Hes rather not get his hands dirty
Hell still be there when he is thirty
I told myself to keep my mouth shut
But I still end up saying if and but
I lied to myself right from the start
And Ive just worked out that Im falling apart

Sitting here
Wishing on a cement floor
Just wishing that
I had just something you wore
I put it on when I go lonely
Will you take off your dress
And send it to me?
I miss your kissin
And I miss your head
And a letter in your writing
Doesnt mean youre not dead
Just run outside in the desert heat
Make your dress all wet
And send it to me
I miss your soup and I miss your bread
And a letter in your writing
Doesnt mean youre not dead
So spill your breakfast
And drip your wine
Just wear that dress when you dine
D-a-v-i-d
So, sitting here wishing
On a cement floor
Just wishing that I had just something you wore
Bloody your hands on a cactus tree
Wipeem on your dress
And send it to me
Sitting here wishing on a cement floor
Just wishing that I had just something you wore

How Real Peace Is Lived
Treated with a taste of truth,
That minimizes rudeness...
Is soon to come.
Beating up yourself with troubles,
Snacking on stale bubblegum...
Is over and done!
The map of life,
Has gotten brighter.
Hot spots lit...
Have added misplaced pieces!
Wars and fights,
Ignited around the world...
Aren't won,
Or satisfied to thrill
When love decreases!
Keeping in perspective,
What's expected and demanded...
Is refreshing.
Making stands that hands of all be clean,
Seems instantly insane...
But must be done!
People must see,
The paths of their destinies...
Unbroken!
No one has the right to take,
What God has given us each to make.
Instead we move ahead to fake peace...
By disturbing freedoms!
Treated with a taste of truth,
That minimizes rudeness...
Is soon to come!
People must feel freedom as it is,
Or nothing is felt as free as peace...
And the chase for it
Just keeps us on the run!
Wars and fights,
Ignited around the world...
Aren't won,
Or satisfied to thrill
When love decreases!
People must feel freedom as it is!
People must feel that peace is positive!
Peace is positive...
When peace itself alone survives,
And left sensitive to give
That's how real peace is lived!

With A Prioritized Attention Given
Everyone living life,
Needs a little taste.
Of whatever for them will excite.
With a prioritized attention given.
From someone else that is mentioned.
To show they are willing,
To give another attention.
Something given to be received,
And acknowledged.
That satisfies a 'soul' to behold.
It seems unfair!
Not right,
That few appear to hog all of the attention.
All of the time.
Day 'and' night.
And some even making appearances,
Unintended.
In dreams of others unannounced.
Then disappear from sight.
As if they were invited.
To come and go as they please.
No wonder people are uptight.
Have you ever stopped to think.
Why is some create tension?
That end in conflict.
Or prolonging of unnecessary fights.
From birth this seems to be our first appetite.
We demand to get that attention fed.
Everyone living life,
Needs a little taste.
Of whatever for them will excite.
With a prioritized attention given.
A spoiled child whining.
With determination,
Will get some of it.
That's why many develop unhealthy addictions.
Smoking, drinking and over eating.
Whatever it is.
Something inside is needing to feed,
The grabbing of others' eyes.
Even if it takes an accidental stumbling into someone...
On public streets.
To then apologize.
Some kind of contact from another is what we all seek.
Whether or not that contact is obnoxious.

The Verdict
Did you do me right?
Did I do right by you?
When I bared my soul it seems you did not hear
Can this be true?
Am I fool to fight?
I could do just what you say
But Im following my heart and that takes me another way
Its not easy when theres no one one giving prizes at the end
Waiting in the wings
Wishing that the band would start to play
As the show begins
Wonder what the critics have to say
Waiting
Waiting
For the verdict
Some people live so fast
Theyre so scared of getting old
Some people keep on working
All they do is line their graves with gold
We dont know what happens when we die
We only know we die too soon
But we have to try or else our world becomes a waiting room
Would you testify for me?
I think Id do the same for you
Waiting in the dark
Waiting for the phone to ring all day
My witness disappears
Wonder what the jury has to say
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting
Waiting

Dont You Think It's Time?
children have rights,
women have rights.
lovers have rights.
people of all religions,
and even atheists have rights.
people of all colors,
speaking every language have rights.
trees and rivers have rights.
cats and dogs have rights.
cattle have rights,
homeless people have rights.
prisoners have rights.
democrats and republicans have rights,
even socialists have rights.
the jobless have rights,
old people have rights...
and the hungry have
the right to be fed!
damnit! dont you think it's time?

The Blame Game
THE BLAME GAME
Edward Iacona
When choosing a different life path
One may not get just what they thought.
Even Columbus wound up somewhere
Other than where he sought.
She demanded her new journey
As her family begged her, 'No! '
And as witnesses to her false words and deeds,
She is reaping what she did sow.
One is accountable for their actions,
And with all due respect,
No matter books read and voices heard,
What the heck did she expect?
So here's a murderous little metaphor
That could be defended with vigor,
When someone gets shot; do you blame the gun,
Or the one who pulled the trigger?

Sitting Here In My Limbo
I don't need books and degrees to identify myself,
But i need my positive mind to lead me on;
I am sitting here in my limbo looking towards the Creator.
Sitting here in my limbo,
I don't need degrees to identify myself;
But in the light of Yahweh Almighty,
I have a mission to fulfil.
Sitting here in my limbo,
Still waiting for the right time to come;
For, how long shall they kill the prophets and,
We stand aside and look?
Mark my identity and learn from my muse,
The very conscience should be used positively;
I don't need books and degrees to crown my name.
Sitting here in my limbo with the tides,
I am always present at the board meetings;
But it seems to me like a cndle in the wind.
A positive conscience is all that i have with me,
Like rulers and the ruled;
But one day, my time will come.
I'm sitting here in my limbo waiting for the time,
The late success of my philosophy to rule the world;
'Who is this Writer? ' You may ask;
But just read on to mark my identity.
Ask of my where about and,
I will show you the dimensions of life;
Sitting here in my limbo is all that matters to me.

Freedom to the People, or Death. America's Decline.
Can you smell the smoke? Do you even see the signs? The burning flames? No, you only look away and pretend it will go away. This world we live in is burning up, burning through resources that were created for all, not just the rich, greedy few.
Are you feeling helpless? Are you afraid to move? Will you stand up and shout out for freedom...freedom from a government that demands efficiency, but is fatter then an un-milked cow. We are weak by ourselves, but if we come together, we can lean upon one another.
Do you fear loosing it all? Americans are not comfortable without their over mortgaged homes above their heads. Americans are not content unless they are driving a more expensive piece of plastic. The funny thing is, you have already lost everything, even before you began to seek these material possessions. Now the things you desired most, actually control you.
And this is how the big man upstairs, controls the country, no...even the entire earth. Like a puppet on strings, we dance around thinking we have rights, but what rights can a puppet ever have?
Do you question what you are told? Can you find that inner strength to be bold? Even when you are standing all alone. And the rest of the world is shaking their heads at you. They shake their heads...but if you listen closely you can hear the rattle of chains wrapped around their necks.
Welcome to the New America. The land of over spending and greedy indulgences. I don't know about you, but I'm starting to fall out of love with this land that I use to love.
Is it too late to change? Does anyone even want to bring back a land filled with character? Maybe being accountable is too hard? Or maybe being accountable actually exposes what evil lies in this land, over shadowing the people.
So where do the men of integrity sit? Where do they partake in their daily meals? They are no where to be found. Look beneath the earth, their bones rot like the diseases that crawl the skin of our people lacking medical attention. They are starved, behind bars, and made examples of, and demonstrated to the public that they are the enemy.
This isn't how it was suppose to end up? The fire that consumed Rome, as the senators fumbled naked in affairs with anything that would satisfy their ungodly lust. Do you really think those fires won't consume us? So I boldly say, 'Freedom to the people, or death.' What do you say?

Only A Few May Know How To Turn On The Lights
How can someone be responsible,
For creating new concepts...
And beginning fresh trends.
Without one word mentioned,
Giving credit to them.
How could entire industries exist.
Or unities of communities thrive successfully...
With good intentions.
If people who initiate these foundations,
Aren't given some attention!
'You know what is said about stolen ideas? '
~No.
No I don't.~
'Anyone can steal an idea.
But a valued thought process...
Is obvious in its progress.
Anyone can build a building.
But only a few may know how to turn on the lights!
And keep them on.'

White Bird Of Texas
The last time I spoke to my aunt before she died
She was describing to me this incredible owl
That was sitting in a tree
It meant nothing to me
But it means a lot more now
Because Im waiting, Im waiting, Im waiting for the bird
Im waiting, Im ready, I know it is my turn
All those cigarettes, alcohol, this bodys through
Youre gone for sure when the bird comes for you
And the last time I spoke to my uncle before he died
It was the very same week, but one year before her
He was sitting alone in his study, on the phone
When a giant hawk flew by
Said, Im waiting, Im waiting, Im waiting for the bird,
I didnt expect to be noticed or heard.
Oh, elizabeth, help me, I cant find the room,
Youre gone for sure when the bird comes for you.
And, oh, it is scary
And, oh, it is cold to the bone
My bodys not ready for my mind to learn
I have just been consigned here to rot in the earth
Said, Im waiting, Im waiting, Im waiting for the bird,
It comes in and takes you away from this world.
Gate twenty-seven, I cant find the room.
Youre free to board now, theyre waiting for you.
Im waiting, Im waiting, Im waiting for the bird
Ive seen it three times now, theres nothing to learn
And dont be surprised if the skys bright and blue
And the white bird of texas comes barreling through

People Expect Too Much From Me
aug,11,2010
people expect me to be perfect,
because i'm smart,
people expect me to get good grades,
because of all the hard work i put in,
people expect me to have my own business,
because i can be talented and creative,
people expect me to be a push over,
rather than a girl who speaks her mind,
people expect me to be something i'm not,
but all i can be is only myself,
people expect me to deal with life,
i can only deal with it the best i can,
people expect me to handle more than i can,
but who is it really for or what do i have to prove?
people expect me to be who they want,
but did they ever stop to think of what i wanted?

Honesty Not
Isn't it funny that the ones that tell lies
are never accountable for their behavior
no matter what the size.
They can say lies about you
or they can deny what they know is true.
All to protect themselves from their bad deeds
but in with that they never grow and succeed;
Succeed at being accountable and mature-
they would rather blame it on you
and call you absurd.
Or they don't remember a thing
say it was in the past and you're the ding-aling.
Adding that they don't know what you are talking about
in the end they are the losers without a questionable doubt.

I Will Wait
Behind the tomato fence
I sit as quietly as Sunday
waiting for her to come
and hum me Camelot,
where I have won a showdown
with the red wasps that stole
her ruby nectar.
But the only sound I hear
are the flirty chirps of sparrows,
and the only thing I feel
is air.
Still, I will wait
behind the tomato fence,
sitting as quietly as Sunday
for her to come
and hum me Camelot.
And when I catch sight of her
I know I'll gasp just like I always do.
She steals my heart away in chunks you see,
but she will blow me off
not even noticing I am here
worshiping her shimmer.
Still, I will wait
behind the tomato fence,
sitting as quietly as Sunday
for her to come
and hum me Camelot.
Meanwhile fragrant basil
smiles my mood,
and rosemary is drying.
There is an eye full of brightest brilliant blue,
and a crescent of white moon dying.
Here I will wait
behind the tomato fence,
sitting as quietly as Sunday
for her to come
and hum me Camelot.

Nation awakes
Total seizure and encroachment of human rights
Without shedding blood or offering fights
Easy walk over under the disguise
Of parliament supremacy and voter’s franchise
Once a leader always a leader
Public failed to read them as reader
All laws and rules meant for public
That has been impetrated as republic
Murderers and mafias can attack at will
Parliament is refuge for thieves to kill
Two birds with one stones
Protection on one side and seat as throne
Without shedding blood or offering fights
Easy walk over under the disguise
Of parliament supremacy and voter’s franchise
Weak judiciary amounting delay in justice
Kept strength at low and not fulfilling the promises
Natural wealth is stolen in day light
Where are the human rights activists to fight?
Beggars rule the national front
Daily corruption comes to light and confront
Right minded people think about real democracy
Who has the real power in hand with supremacy?
Can we not recall people’s representatives?
Can we not decide the fate of natives?
Why wolves are allowed free roam in the streets?
Why can we not amend the rules for expectations to meet?
It is firm resolve not to allow total eclipse
It will meet stiff resistance and response
No one can take it granted where people rule
Not a single or powerful man must try to make them fool
It is awareness and aspirations
Where so many things pose questions
Nation can not progress with empty belly
All measures may stand useless and silly
Poor must find place and say
They can’t be denied rights and pushed away
Entire nation may burn
And turn in rubbles and ruins

World In Motion
Journalism, for the mass
Greener, than the greenest grass
Naivety, isn't what we need
Every picture wee see, every line we read
What about pollution, what about rain
What about the people suffering their pain
Criticism is the magic word
To think about rumors we have heard
World in motion, everywhere
Wake up from your dreams
Open up your eyes and see the light
World in motion, all the time
Feel it in you heart
What you wanna see with your own eyes
World in motion
We don't really care about what we see every day
From Moscow to Jo'burg, from Rio to L.A.
We pretend to be a nation of tolerance and peace
But isn't it violence which increase
Headlines are shocking, stories are brand, new
How can you be sure that everything is true
No difference between reality and show
Stimulation, overflow
It's a world in motion
Every picture we see
A part of history
World in motion
It's a world in motion
It will always last
Between future and past
World in motion
It's a world in motion
But what's going on, and what is wrong
World in motion
It's a world in motion
Against the wind
Close your eyes and let it in

This Is Getting More And More Outrageous
'What is the hold up here?
The orchestra is ready.
The chorus members are all in place.
The debaters are going over their notes.
The moderator looks impatient.
And the audience is becoming restless.
What is the delay?
What are we waiting for?
Even the media has begun to ask questions.'
It's...
The vendors.
'The VENDORS?
You've got to be kidding me? '
No.
I'm not.
They have decided to go on strike.
And since they are now unionized...
They seek more attention to discuss their needs.
'The VENDORS? '
Yes.
You see...
The debaters have mentioned,
Their focus on free enterprise.
And in a democratic system that supports capitalism,
The vendors feel they have every right to use this night...
To hold up the process of everything.
'The VENDORS?
This is getting more and more outrageous.'
What can I say?
People want their entitlements.
And the social media has made sure,
People are kept abreast of their democratic rights.
