Contradictions Make Good Business Relationships

They are more concerned,
About the origin of his birth.
The one who now leads...
With an attempt to clean up their dirt.
Than they are about the land they stand upon...
And purchased by foreigners.
Who do not speak their language.
And making no attempts to do it!

Even their ports have been sold and patrolled,
By those who wine and dine with so called enemies.
And yet,
There is a wish for the people to believe,
These contradictions make good business relationships.
And have nothing to do with a dwindling quality of life.
Or the perception of it!
As long as myths are kept hyped for experimental purposes.

'Yeah?
But what about the stock market? '

If it should plummet to the ground,
And stocks become worthless!
How much would you lose...
That the closing banks haven't taken already?
Afterall...
If President Obama had not been elected,
Would the choice be shambles over complete devastation?
Or is your preference civil disobedience...
With incompetence at its helm?
Even the attractions at Disney World are closing.
Is that the scent of drastic change in the air?
What would you call it?

Dialogue Part I

Terry: Are you optimistic 'bout the way that things are going?
Pete: No, I never ever think of it at all.
Terry: Don't you ever worry when you see what's going down?
Pete: Well, I try to mind my business, that is, no business at all.
Terry: When it's time to function as a feeling human being, will your Bachelor
of Arts help you get by?
Pete: I hope to study further, a few more years or so.
I also hope to keep a steady high.
Terry: Will you try to change things, use the power that you have,
The power of a million new ideas?
Pete: What is this power you speak of and the need for things to change?
I always thought that ev'rything was fine, ev'rything is fine.
Terry: Don't you feel repression just closing in around?
Pete: No, the campus here is very very free.
Terry: Does it make you angry the way war is dragging on?
Pete: Well I hope the President knows what he's into, I don't know.
Oooh I just don't know.
Terry: Don't you see starvation in the city where you live,
all the needless hunger, all the needless pain?
Pete: I haven't been there lately, the country is so fine,
but my neighbors don't seem hungry 'cause they haven't got the time,
Haven't got the time.
Terry: Thank you for the talk, you know you really eased my mind,
I was troubled by the shapes of things to come.
Pete: Well, if you had my outlook, your feelings would be numb,
You'd always think that ev'rything was fine.
Ev'ry thing is fine.
We can make it better (x3) Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
We can change the world now (x3)
We can save the children (x3)
We can make it happen (x3)

Karmic Revolution!

Reagon babies lying dead
on the Middle East sands....
oil battles there, even to

South America!
American workers stand in line
to buy the goods they lost jobs to...

bailing out the banks
with more borrowed money!
more Chevy's sold in China,

than are sold here!
Japan's Hiroshima cars
flood the market...

their kids stay in school,
their workers have jobs!
yet still whaling, and nuclear disaster!

terrorists steal planes,
or get elected to office....
trading clean water for oil,

and the profit is high!
the houses built by
the Hollywood president...

now stand vacant,
owned by banks that are owned!
and we stand in the street,

with nothing left to lose....
following in the footsteps
of our brothers and sisters...

in Epypt, in China, in Libya....
wherever they fight...
for freedom, equality, and a chance!

Unified Comprehension

Change?
There is going to be change.
Drastic, immediate and effective.

The kind that comes to stay.
Unseasonal.
Traumatic.
Like the kind of change,
One suffers through...
When going to school for the first time.

The kind that breaks and shakes,
Like an Earthquake.
A shocker that roars in like a tsunami.
To leave folks stunned.
With no where to run....
But endure.

Change?
There is going to be change.
Drastic, immediate and effective.
That's for sure.

With one exception!
Very few will be asked,
To debate the quality of it.
And no one will be exempted.

Total, complete and thorough...
Will be the experience.
Many will welcome it.
While others will be heard complaining,
As they sweep to keep up...
With assigned chores.

Change?
There is going to be change.
Drastic, immediate and effective.
The kind that motivates,
With an understood dictation.

'That sounds like 'socialism'?

I doubt if there will be any sounds at all!
However...
There will be a unified comprehension.
Descending from the Oval Office.

President Obama,
Intends we all become familiar...
With the concept of pride!
He plays not upon our delusions.
But we will manifest his vision.

Ports-of-call

Written by gerry beckley and dewey bunnell, 1994
Found on hourglass.
I cant help thinkin as those ships sail away
What sirens beckon and call
How long at sea this time how long between
The ports-of-call, ports-of-call
Under the bridge they move to far off lands
Maybe australia or north african sands
Complete the mission, supply and demand
To ports-of-call, ports-of-call
And everyday as the sun is setting
Along the bay city lights appear
Snake charmers sway while the smoke is rising
Time is growing near
When theyll be casting off anchor as they sail away
Into the morning light
Rising and falling thru the blue and gray
To ports-of-call, ports-of-call
And everyday as the sun is setting
Along the bay city lights appear
Snake charmers sway while the smoke is rising
Time is growing near
And everyday as the sun is setting
Along the bay city lights appear
Snake charmers sway while the smoke is rising
Time is growing near
Ill take the chance this time to change my world (change my world)
And break those ties that bind (ties that bind)
Far from those people passing through my life
Like ports-of-call, ports-of-call
Under the bridge Ill move to far off lands (far off lands)
Maybe australia or north african sands (north african sands)
Complete my mission, hope you understand
Ports-of-call, ports-of-call
Ports-of-call, ports-of-call
Ports-of-call, ports-of-call ...

Before I Forget

Go!
Stapled shut, inside and ouside would and I'm
Sealed in tight, bizzar but right at home
Claustrophobic, closing in and I'm
Catostrophic, not again
I'm smeared across the page, and doused in gasoline
I wear you like a stain, yet I'm the one who's obscene
Catch me upon all your sordid little insurrections,
I've got no time to lose, and I'm just caught up in all the cattle
Fray the stings
Throw the sheathes
Hold your breath
And listen!
I am a world before I am a man
I was a creature before I could stand
I will remember before I forget
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I'm ripped across the ditch, and settled in the dirt and I'm
Wiggled like a stitch, yet I'm the one who's hurt
Pay attention to your twisted little indiscrestions
I've got no right to way, I'm just caught up all the battles
Locked in flesh
Pushed in place
Hold your breath
And listen!
I am a world before I am a man
I was a creature before I could stand
I will remember before I forget
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I am a world before I am a man
I was a creature before I could stand
I will remember before I forget
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
My end
It justifies my needs
All I have to do is delay
I'm given time to evade
The end of the road is my end
It justifies my needs
All I have to do is delay
I'm haven't time to evade
THE END OF THE ROAD!
I am a world before I am a man
I was a creature before I could stand
I will remember before I forget
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!
I am a world before I am a man
I was a creature before I could stand
I will remember before I forget
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!

There Is a Realization That Has Come

All of their thug cronies,
Have silenced themselves of late.
Few seem to be demanding today,
Proof of a president's birth certificate.
And/or birthdate.

There is a realization that has come,
To land upon their sensibilities.
Everything President Obama is trying to correct...
Has been directly associated,
With their incompetence and deeds misguided.
And a prior leadership misdirected.

All of their thug cronies,
Have silenced themselves of late.
Few seem to be demanding today,
Proof of a president's birth certificate.
And/or birthdate.

And their latest fiasco sits in the Gulf of Mexico.
Without a clue how to fix it.
But a blame of this,
Will be wherever President Obama sits.
Since a shifting of blame has been a custom we live with.

Barack Obama

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Change, you must the world;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
But do you have the gold?

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
People need more jobs;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
You must stop their sobs.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Wars are just futile;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Let peace remain awhile.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Prices must be cut;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
None can live in hut.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Energy is prime;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Work in any clime.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Pollution must stop;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Make a friendlier cop.

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Should the unborn die?
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Live, they shouldn’t but why?

Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Change is what you need;
Barack Obama, Barack Obama,
Pluck away the weed!

We Are The World - Usa For Africa 1985

There comes a time when we need a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying, oh, and its time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
We cant go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
Were all a part of gods great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin
Theres a choice were makin
Were savin our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me
Well, send them you your heart so they know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin
Whoa, theres a choice were makin
Were savin our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me
When youre down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
Theres no way we can fall
Well, well, well, let us realize
Oh, that one change can only come
When we stand together as one
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin
Theres a choice were makin
Were savin our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin
Theres a choice were makin
Were saving our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me
We are the world (we are the world)
We are the children (we are the children)
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin (so lets start giving)

Were saving our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me (all right, let me hear you)
We are the world (we are the world)
We are the children (said we are the children)
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start givin (lets start givin)
Theres a choice were makin
Were saving our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me, come on now let me hear you
We are the world (we are the world)
We are the children (we are the children)
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So lets start giving (so lets start givin)
Theres a choice were making
Were savin our own lives
Its true, well make a better day
Just you and me, yeah, yeah
We are the world (we are the world)

What Can I Do?

What can I do?
Besides stand on the sidelines,
To criticize
Things done by others...
With the convenience to disapprove.
And choosing to voice my druthers.

What can I do?
To improve the quality of life.
I'm not the only one sometimes embittered...
Or feel my life has more share of strife.

Have I ever set aside my own selfishness,
To protest against my own wastelessness?
Have I ever gone out of my way,
To listen and empathize with others along the way?
Have I sacrificed my own feeding of greed...
To come to the aid of another who has more need?
Instead of proceeding to mask my own insecurities.

What can I do?
What can I say?
Perhaps today I will make an attempt,
To see myself extremely fortunate!
And do something I have not often done.
Approach someone else to offer my assistance.
And ask, 'What can I do?
If you and I got together...
Maybe you and I can help others too!

Afterall,
Isn't it much easier to try to understand...
Than to stay frustrated,
By making self centered demands!

And who is really listening to that...
When common ground is where we all seem to stand! '

What can I do?
To have us accept each other,
With nothing more than that to prove.
Let's try something new.

History In The Making

history was in the making on this very day
where Barack Obama became the 44th president of the u.s.a.
for two years he campaigned across this nation of ours
and brought to light, graft and political power.

he brought to light that it was 'time for change'
and this country will never be the same.
he tore down the walls of discrimination
and oppression in this land
and told america it was time to take a stand.
he showed the people that freedom can ring
and made this nation stand up and sing.

no other inauguration in the history of man
could compare to this in our promised land.
the world had been watching every move we make
of that there is no mistake.
and the only thing that this world could see
'was abe lincoln sitting in his chair'
happy faces every where.

the dreams of simple men this day came to life
when the first black president
stood there with his wife.
Lincoln, Kennedy, King, to name just a few
have finally gotten to see their dreams come true.
equality is what we sought
and for equality is what we fought.
this was the dream of this nation
this dream is our salvation
so america we stand with pride
for in this land freedom rides.

Two Pistols

You complain about doing things,
My way.
Although 'your' way...
Is clearly indecisive.
And held up in prolong debate.

When I came upon the scene,
I believed it to be simple...
For all of us to come to the same table,
To iron out our differences.
And agree we've all been elected,
To represent those needs of our constituents.

But most of you are petty.
And outrageously racist!
Yeah...
I said it.
You're a bunch of boneheaded racists.

And...
As the 'elected' president of this united mess,
You folks have created.
THIS will be the agenda,
I've brought to this meeting!
Most of you seem to be curious about these 'visuals'?
Let me explain...
Those who can not see clearly,
I want you close.
So gather around.

Here you will see,
A basketball, multiple pairs of boxing gloves.
Tickets to Disney World.
And two pistols to use for a duel!

Anyone wishing the tickets to Disney World,
Has to first win the duel.
And here are those rules for the duel...
One of us will be blind folded.
And the other one...
Is going to be the President of the United States.

And...
That should end,
Any future disagreements...
About my policies.
Any questions?
You wanted an openness,
With a change you can believe?

It is time to take it to that plateau.
Again...
Any questions?

None?

Finally we are getting somewhere.
It appears an awakening process has started.

Excellent!

Poetry, Not Prose

Tom Friedman says that we need poetry, not prose,
to get this country into better shape.
Although we surely know a rose would be a rose
if called by any other name, a grape
becomes much more when sublimated into wine,
and politics don’t matter till its message
becomes poetic. Prose won’t help to make it shine,
and all predications politicians presage
won’t come to pass unless they’re elevated with
poetic language that shifts paradigms,
and brings into reality what seemed mere myth,
promoting the prosaic with its rhymes.
We need a narrative that we can memorize,
not complicated data on a chart,
and yearn for tuneful songs that we can harmonize,
and poems we love learning off by heart.

Inspired by an Op-Ed article by Thomas Friedman in the NYT, November 1,2009, exhorting President Obama to be more poetic (“More Poetry Please”) :
More and more lately, I find people asking me: What do you think President Obama really believes about this or that issue? I find that odd. How is it that a president who has taken on so many big issues, with very specific policies — and has even been awarded a Nobel Prize for all the hopes he has kindled — still has so many people asking what he really believes? I don’t think that President Obama has a communications problem, per se. He has given many speeches and interviews broadly explaining his policies and justifying their necessity. Rather, he has a “narrative” problem….
“Obama’s election marked a shift — from a politics that celebrated privatized concerns to a politics that recognized the need for effective government and larger public purposes. Across the political spectrum, people understood that national renewal requires big ambition, and a better kind of politics, ” said the Harvard political theorist Michael Sandel, author of the new best seller — “Justice: What’s the Right Thing to Do? ” — that calls for elevating our public discourse. But to deliver on that promise, Sandel added, Obama needs to carry the civic idealism of his campaign into his presidency. He needs a narrative that will get the same voters who elected him to push through his ambitious agenda — against all the forces of inertia and private greed. “You can’t get nation-building without shared sacrifice, ” said Sandel, “and you cannot inspire shared sacrifice without a narrative that appeals to the common good — a narrative that challenges us to be citizens engaged in a common endeavor, not just consumers seeking the best deal for ourselves. Obama needs to energize the prose of his presidency by recapturing the poetry of his campaign.”

They Defend Its Application

I awakened this morning...
Not with the War on Terriorism on my mind,
But the War on My Quality of Life.
The War on My Liberties
The War on the Economy
And The War on Consciousness!
And it seems that very few are in the trenches,
Fighting these battles.
As what's left to democracy is being hocked away.
And the hoax of this joke is played on the people!
Who are encouraged to witness,
Their quality of life diminish!

I see no one dressed in combat gear,
Fighting against urban ignorance.
I see no defense against deceit and corruption.
Or legalized government theft.
Creating deeper debt.

But I am told to pray!
By those who 'prey' upon my goodwill!
And attempt to steal my comprehension...
By pretending to be offended that I speak out,
Against their acceptance of these social crimes!
And...
I am given looks as if I have lost my mind!
And today I am beginning to wonder.
What do I cherish most...
My common sense with integrity?
Or my privacy protecting it?

Some say others are not patriotic,
Because they do not accept this nonsense!

Have we arrive at the Twilight Zone?
With no welcome committee to greet?
OR tour the bizarre?
I don't mean to sound sarcastic...
However,
Too many have been slipped some tainted crack...
OR this 'normalcy' believed to be justisfied,
Needs a complete overhaul of 'reality'!
Since what is being accepted,
Is blistering ignorance inflicted!
And people don't believe they are the cause.
Who elected 'whom' to represent them and their 'interests'?

I think that was more like cynicism.
Don't you?
Well...
It was Franklin Delano Roosevelt,
The 32nd President of these United States who did say...
And I quote, '...those cynical men who say that democracy
cannot be honest and efficient.'

F.D.R. meant well.
Let's face it...
At one point in our lives we all had fantasies,
Of one kind or another!
And he was president for twelve years!
But times have vastly change since the corrupted '30's!
The visuals of special effects have greatly improved.
And deceit now has a manicured appearance.

And this team 'they' have in there now...
To represent their causes,
Couldn't wait to destroy everything of 'myth' that is valued!
They've taken the meaning of incompetence,
To a whole different level.
'Honesty and efficiency' are not choice words,
In their vocabulary.
Maybe 'shaft' 'hoodwink' 'bling' and 'gangsta'...
Are expressions tossed about by these morons!

No one could possibly recreate this kind of treason.
And get people addicted to their own self destruction?
As the people who put them in these positions...
Watch this?

You can call me anything you want!
But they can keep 'that' to themselves.
Whatever drug those folks are on,
Has damaged their brain cells.
And they defend its application...
Like an addict in denial,
Of obvious symptoms of abuse observed!

Relax. Just Observe It For What It Is

Please.
Can you assist me?
'I will do the best I can.
What is it that you seek? '

I am trying to make some sense,
Out of what's going on.
Can you tell me where it is I can go,
To begin with my efforts?

'Oh.
I can tell you many places to go.
But.
The only suggestion I can give,
Is try not to make any attempts at all.
That's right.
Pretending to go along with whatever is going on,
Will be the best solution.
Just observe it for what it is.

Trying to stand out,
As one being accountable for your actions...
Is not a healthy way to live.
Afterall
Who would understand this?

And today
People are easily offended by anyone,
Making attempts to be responsible.
Relax.
Just observe it for what it is.'

I wanna be elected
The kids need a savior, they don't want a fake
I wanna be elected
We're all gonna rock to the rules that I make
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Respected
I wanna be selected
I never lied to you, I've always been cool
I wanna be elected
I have to get the votes, I told you about school
I wanna be elected
Elected

I wanna be selected, come on
Ooh yeah
We're gonna rock this place, take the country by storm
I wanna be elected
You and me together, young and strong
I wanna be elected

I wanna be elected, oh, oh, come on

Run

-Geronimo ran, and ran, and ran...
And still got stuck
On worthless land;
He and his people were looking for the right side,
- though it was such a long run to go,
He tried and tried,
Along with so many others whom we shall never know...
Yet it seems, when all is said and done
They made it no closer
Than where they'd first begun.

-Jim Thorpe ran, and ran, and ran...
He ran out of desperation,
He had to run
Just to get off from the damned reservation;
He ran and ran
Faster and better than anyone ever had
And for some rancid reason
It made some people mad...
He had run all he could
But it just wasn't enough...
Even as strong as Jim was
Life was just too tough.

- Ira Hayes ran, and ran, and ran...
But could never quite outrun
Societies demand;
Some arrogant folks claim
It showed him to be a worthless man...
But they were wrong.
For what it really proved is:
He tried much harder than they will EVER understand.

These native men found
What we all eventually will,
That life is no game, whether in obscurity or fame,
And we're all tripping barefoot... running uphill;

At birth we are thrown together into the room of life
Where they discovered what most attempt to ignore,
In our own way we try to make the best of it
Until God alone shows the exit door.

So we've all need side by side this race to run
Though exactly how it will finish, we yet know not,
For in the human race the only way to lose
Is to stop.

Triumphant Obama turns to sobering challenges

every human triumphant fight creates a feeling of uncertainty
of the future, thats the wonder of the mystery of human
experience, that no man has seen, the meaning of the
future, a wisdom that God had works wonder in every event

the father of faith Abraham, triumphantly fought against, the
Hittite, the Ammonites, the Canaanites, yet! brave as they are,
conquered the far away land, chasing the future of nowhere,
the end of everything the Israelites never found, until God
reveals the direction where to end their journey to the promise
land, flowing of milk and honey

the American people witness, the triumphant victory of
Barack Obama, a man, who believed that beyond that horizon
of fears, the answer lies within every hearts of the American
people, and he's vision never fails, for in every calls, an answer
is given

the gate of success, knows tomorrow and that day will come,
when everyone join as one, everything is ready, to forward their
own destiny with President Obama will leads us so freely, then
the future of America be in its own way

all hands bless, the triumphant Obama will make its quest, all
dreams face, that he can stand the test, of millions of thousands
of people, around the world, looks up America, the nation, the
people, that takes a hope

now is the moment to take the yoke, for in every walk there is
a hook, with all strength stands Obama's plan,
America will....forever STAND

There Can Be No Freedom

there can be no freedom
when your own children are
going to bed hungry.....

when your workers stand
in jobless lines called by numbers,
not by names....

when your farms are taken
by the banks, and your tractors
sold at auction....

when your homes are foreclosed,
your small businesses shut down,
and they bail out the banks

with your retirement!
when your President stands by,
and does nothing,

as they beat, and terrorize your children....
when war after war the hole gets bigger,
and your thoughts and words are stolen!

there can be no freedom without change....
...no change unless we dare!
