Chameleon? Me? No!

A chameleon? Me? No!
But I have appeared on scenes,
Unseen.
Ignored...
And not directly disrespected.
Unless someone regarded me as a pesty insect.
And someone named Jackson...
In my youth did me like that.
A bitter woman that lack attraction.

A chameleon? Me? No!
But I have appeared on scenes,
Unseen.
Not that others were being mean.
I'm not one to call attention to myself.
If it is given,
What can I say?
Go away?

I've tried that before!
It doesn't work.
Then I'm considered a complete jerk.
An egomaniac with insecurities.

A chameleon?
Me?
No!
I don't choose or wish to be.
Nor is that need inside of me.

I just love who it is I am.
With a love of life I experience.
And if others see that differently?
What about that can I really say?
Don't do it like that...
Do that my way?

There is too much to digest.
Too much life I have not lived yet.
To make confessions,
Of how I wished I had lived my life?
The way I 'could' have lived it.
And did that to my delight!

A chameleon?
Me?
No!
'Me' know just 'me' and that's it!

Life A Chemeleon

The whole life a chameleon
Changing its colour time to time
Sometimes it looks like a neon
Sometimes it dull like a crime;
life is like a chameleon
changing its colour time to time.

We all are actors
act time to time
Sometimes factors
sometimes crime
life is like a chameleon
changing its colour time to time.

it was a time
when we are small, Don't know;
who is small
who is tall
now we grown,
able to understand our profit or loss;
after that we will become older
very dependent, very oblivision;
sans emotion sans fellings,
it damages, sans drilling,
it is fade colour of our life;
life is like a chameleon
changing its colour time to time.

Chameleon

You took me runnin up a wrong way street.
When we got there, you said, cant you read ?
I must be blind, but now and then I see
Another number where mine used to be.
Chorus:
You keep on changin your face, like a chameleon.
You keep on changing your face like a chameleon.
I say whats up, and then you say its down.
I see triangles, and you say its round, round, round.
Saw an empty glass; you said its full.
Lord, its so hot, then you come on cool, cool.

Chameleon Boy

A chameleon lies in the sizzling heat,
I watch it intently, pondering what color it will be,
Lying slack as can be, an ashen rock providing coziness.
I detest that chameleon; it looks like my ex-boyfriend.
A lazy deadbeat ass!
As if it heard me it moved his scaly head, turns to face me,
His protruding eyes open, his long slimy tongue slides out as if he tastes my scent in the air,
I feel a sense of anxiety as he looks at me with judgmental beady eyes, just as my boyfriend used to do.
His slimy tongue twisting on the rock catching bugs swarming in the air, poor bugs fly away! Don't let his slick tongue deceive you!
I feel for the helpless bugs, I was once a bug myself.
His color changes from ashen gray to avocado green, as he gets up, more deception,
With a final goodbye that chameleon leaves, unbeknown to him, he added salt to already fresh vulnerable wound.

So Much Life Longing For More Life

SO MUCH LIFE LONGING FOR MORE LIFE

So much life longing for more life
Wanting to live so much
To feel to experience to know to enjoy to love.

So much life
Others have lived
So much life
I would have lived.

And the life I have lived?
More than I can know or understand
So much of it gone forever.

And all the longing and all the memories
And all the love,
Where is it now?

I have lived so much
And never lived enough
And want to live too much more
And know I will never live enough
And know I have lived so much much more
Than I will ever know again.

Life and more life,
Longing and more longing,
Life- Please God-
Not Death.

Life Alone

How does one justify a life lived alone
How does one love if they have never been shown
A life lived alone is a life lived in vain
A life lived alone has very little to gain
Why would anyone choose to live this way
Why would anyone choose to be alone everyday
Is it living alone a shy reality to blame
Is it living alone yet another of societys shame
I stand here alone with a tear in my eye
I stand here alone and wish to understand why.
'closing thought'
A singles life can have its moments of pleasure
But a family life is filled with memories to treasure

He Rode On a Bus

Since he rode on a bus,
They believed him to be without powerful allies.
Since he rode on a bus,
They believed him to be limited in influence.
Since he rode on a bus,
And lived amongst the poor and not the rich...
He was disrespected more.
But only a few knew,
His worth was more than this.
Even though his funds were limited.

And since he chose to ride on a bus,
He knew he could do what he wished.
His life was not lived to acquire material possessions.
His life was lived for him...
To enjoy every bit of it.
Being there with the people,
As his experience.
And if he rode on a bus...
That was a piece of 'his' happiness.
No explanations did he have to make,
Since for him this was a perfect fit.
Unlike the others,
Who expressed pretentions...
Every chance they would get.

Mantis and Chameleon Combined

MANTIS AND CHAMELEON COMBINED

Mantis and chameleon combined
In sorrow-smile strange siren spectrum sings.
Rainbow surface spins unfathomed rings,
Intense emotions stirs. Heart, unassigned,
Awaits soft spell but enters hell, won't bind.
Much time is wasted, time whose acid stings
Must dreams dissolve, naught solve. Vain vampire wings
Each night takes flight, though fantasy, resigned,
No spice retains, scope wanes as hopes unwind.
Defensive moats must lapse, emotions bring
Ease, understanding, joy in everything,
Serenity with sharing redefined.
Mobility of spirit and of mind
Must self-acceptance learn, fears leave behind.

Parrot In Paradise

Parrot in the cyclone eye
spread his sodden wings to dry.
Wall of wind approaching sly
snapped him up and flung him high.

Swept aloft a hundred mile,
dropped on black volcanic isle,
Parrot viewed the ashy pile;
not the jolliest exile.

Parrot flew around the peak,
finding there a pleasing scene.
Brought a smile to his beak,
a little paradise of green.

After roaming full extent
sadly, it seemed evident,
on this fertile lava vent
he alone was resident.

Long he scanned surrounding seas
for a sign to still unease.
Tossed ashore, one day on breeze;
a mat of storm-whipped splintered trees.

Lifeless, though it first appeared,
something moved and Parrot neared.
In Chameleon's eyes he peered,
'How d'you do'? he squawked and cheered.

'What's your name? Please come ashore!
I won't bore, I've tales galore.
I can tell we've great rapport.
Did I mention, I don't snore'?

Cautiously, Chameleon
left the safety of the raft.
Black sand beach, it stepped upon.
Parrot danced around, quite daft.

'Bu Parleur's my name, I'm fine;
means I like to drink and talk.
Let's ferment some island wine,
we'll walk the talk and squawk the walk'.

Parrot boasted, 'I'm a Chick……'
'Yes', Chameleon replied.
'What? No! Ha! Well done, you're quick;
Chick Magnet'! Parrot glibly lied.

Reaching welcome leafy shade,
shy Chameleon's fears allayed,
back and forth it gently swayed,
swiveled turret eyes; surveyed.

'Can I call you Cham for short?
Do you think I'm beady-eyed?
Shall we dance, play cards or sport'?
'Yes', Chameleon replied.

'Do you like my feathered suit?
Would you like some seeds or fruit'?
(Cham caught fly, with aim astute)
'Wow', said Parrot, 'My, you're cute'.

'Like the way you aim and flick,
love those slinky moves, real slick,
I've got tricks and you've got shtick.
What shall we do now? You pick'

'See my feet, you'll be enthralled,
two toes forward, two toes back.
ZygoDACtylous that's called.
I dig your color-changing knack'.

Parrot stared at Cham's small feet;
cried 'I knew it! ain't life swell.
We are so alike, that's neat.
You're zygodactylous as well'!

And so, the pair became firm friends,
bonded by their common ends.
Castaways the island tends,
castaways the island mends.
Soft the moonlit night descends,
loud, the parrot's song ascends.

Zygodactylous me….
Zygodactylous you...
Zygodactylous we….
Zygodactylous two…

Zygodactylous zygodactylous zygodactylous me…

No Life Is Right Until Lived

When the thrill of living my life has quieted to end,
I will not be discovered procrastinating with any fears.
Or recovering from regrets,
Of not facing challenges to overcome when first met.
Nor is my life in any position for anyone to place bets.
Although I may choose to take those risks 'I' accept.

I am a work-in-progress taking forward not backward steps.
I live a life lived unafraid to make mistakes.
And those monitoring perfection based upon etiquette,
Are powerless to suggest what my identity should be to please.
Since this life I live is 'my' experience without boundaries.
And I will dream to adventure and explore to make known.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed.

With...
Or without,
Judgements heard that are passed...
No life is right until lived as one decides it.

No life is right until lived as one decides it.
And...
As one decides what life is right for them to live,
Who can demonstrate what perfection is?

Childrens Book-I Have Seen The Wind

I have seen the wind through its invisibility
Sometimes I see the wind when it shows itself to me.

Sometimes the wind is brown and gritty and forms in twists and spires
Sometimes the wind is leafy greens and auburn reds on fire.

Sometimes the wind is snowy like- white and flaky in the sky.
And even once at the garbage dump it was papers passing by.

Once upon a summer day, the wind was new-mown lawn.
And on a drive in the countryside it was tumbleweeds tumbling along.

The wind is a chameleon, everchanging as it passes by.
Once in the spring it was a floating cascade of lilac petals in the sky.

The most beautiful sight was when the wind became a whirl of butterflies.
The wind flits through the air then falls to the ground and lies.

Yes, I have seen the chameleon wind and its ever-changing hues,
with the colors of the rainbow, will it show itself to you?

Parting

These tears we cry
scream into life
with echoes. Parting
toward other planes.
Winters need a life bubble
survival calls forth
to harness chameleon lives.

Last windswept embrace
a trembling tearing union.
Split seconds bare
as course grained
barren stinging sands.
As our need together
is denied existent reason.

Two adults stand stark
screened before
broken background images.
Buried
impulsive childhood fears.
Hidden
beneath protective masks.

Turbulent tears we cry
scream into life.
Crystalline focus parting
under microscopic lens.
Separate worlds
contained universes
swim in flotsam.

These tears we cry
scream into emotional; agonized life;
with chilling echoes. Parting
toward altered dimensional; geographical planes.
Winter’s need sarcophagus; desired numbness;
regenerative restive natures calls forth;
to harness trans-formative chameleon lives.

Hole In The Wall

Hey babe, where did you go
When the down down got too much
Hey baby, where will you be found
When the down down gets to much
We were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Hey babe, where will you be
When the crack crack gets too much (crack)
Hey babe, where will you go
Oh, we were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Chorus
Theres a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
Ooh a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
(she has under our expert persuasion)
(has implicated you in high treason)
(you are under arrest)
(do you have any final requests, requests)
Its a move to take you through
Its a move to take you through
Its a move to take you through
To take you through
To take you through
(you have until the sand runs up)
(do you have any final requests)
(you look great, you look great)
(you look great)
Hey babe where will you go when the hole in
The wall is shut
Wow, babe you know where Ill be when that
Hole in wall is shut
We were such an ugly pair
The chameleon twins theyd stop and stare
Lovers know when love has gone
A black hole there where love was once the
End
Chorus
Theres a hole in the wall
Ooh - a hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
Catch it before you fall
The hole in the wall
Theres a hole in the wall
Ooh - a hole in the wall...

If I Lived One More LIfe... I Would

If I lived one more life
I would melt by the gentle sight of you
I would believe that your love is true
I would erase my fake intention
I would hold back all my foolish emotion

If I lived one more life
I would read all yr colorful envelopes
I would never burn your words of hopes
I would cherish your banner on the wall
I would make sure it will never fall

If I lived one more life
I would pick up your call night & days
I would guarantee your mind not decays
I would let my door open at all time
I would safe your sanity to prevent any crime

If I lived one more life
I would stand before you on my knee
I would beg your family to forgive me
I would plead to share your torture
I would fight to bring back your future

If I lived one more life
I would endure all your hate
I would accept you as my fate
I would strive to give you the best of me
I would die in your arms and be happy

If I lived one more life … I would

I've Lived My Life

I've lived my life and I'm only eighteen
I left the country for the city thought I was smart but I was silly
I should have known I'd get in trouble being so green
I've lived my life and I'm only eighteen
I met a boy and learned to love him I would have done anything for him
I've loved him more than anything I've ever seen
I've lived my life and I'm only eighteen
Only eighteen but it's all over I ruined my life to please my lover
I made him happy he made me cry then said goodbye
I've lived my life and I'm only eighteen
Only eighteen but it's all over...
I've lived my life and I'm only eighteen
