Like Any Quota Doter Does

When I actively applied,
For that I know I am experienced!
I was deemed not qualified.
With a look from someone,
To kill my pride.

And since I'm not the kind,
To wonder 'why' I've been denied...
I cast that aside,
That which tries to prevent my stride.
In a blocking of my forward movement.
Few who knew that,
Know today that has been proven.

Folks are hired to cast dark shadows,
All over the place.
That's what they do!
And competent at it too.

Since I am not seeking assistance,
To live my life to make attempts!
I live my life making attempts to assist.
That's it!

That's what I do!

And 'if' someone decides I'm not qualified to do it...
I'm sure they've been assigned to do a job!
Like any quota doter does doing what they do.
I've been assigned to fulfill a mission.
There is more than a slight difference.

And to give precious time away,
To devote in discussion with those of small minds...
The vastness of the canvas
Is not my task to introduce.

I'm here to do!
Not argue in defense of my abilities to connect the dots!

We Have to Come Up With Something Quick

Get Godzilla on the phone!

'We're trying to negotiate.
But even he says he will not take the blame,
For that kind of destruction we wish.

We have to come up with something quick.
This whole terrorists thing is beginning to bore!
Especially when tourists are flaunting their Euro spending,
In New York City!
Our deception plans are unraveling before our eyes.
Who else is on that list that captivates imaginations and fear?

'Bin Laden?
We know more about him and can not find him at all.
And Barack Obama was born right here...
Under a microscope.
And people are becoming scared to death of his truth!
And some minister who tells it like it is! '

Gee...
We don't need anything that frightening!

Tell him we will make his next appearance 'spectacular'

Steven is out of the picture.
He has been selected to do the campaign ads for Obama!

There they are making history.

Impressed By Those I Have Not Met

Why should I continue to ignore myself,
To value the opinions of others?
I use to do that and I stayed depressed.
If it appears I am selfish and self centered,
Perhaps I am deserving of my selfishness.
Maybe I earned it!

Others will not admit my sacrifices.
And I don't wear my heart on my sleeve,
For anyone to know to the degree I've sacrificed.
Others have used other tricks and devices,
To maneuver themselves into the spotlight.
One that is believed I seek and need.

They want to take credit for the steps I made.
Those who make claims to know me and don't.
While making attempts to convince themselves,
And others like them...
I had nothing to do with something I've been doing,
All of my life.
And that is to write!

To do it to impress others,
I have never thought about doing.
But I will admit I am impressed by those I have not met,
Who express they can 'feel' me!
While those who make claims they know where I'm coming from,
Judge on my appearance and the way that I am dressed.
And yet have not a clue as to what it is I do,
To get what it is I do done to make a difference for someone.

Must

She writes as if there’s not much time.
She writes to pain, to happiness,
She writes to every remote detailed thought.
She writes to the departed,
to the extant,
to poverty,
to wealth.
She writes to mourn, and grief.
She writes to the wind, the rain,
forest, the desert, and mountains.
She writes to her pouring tears,
to her grateful moments,
She writes because really what she has is time.
She has no little ones to feed, or bathe,
nor a husband to make happy. To write is
to escape- to her. Time is not a problem, time
is just a killing system, she needs to kill in many words.

Lingering Legends

The course of human history.
A complicated tapestry.
Composed of interwoven strands.
The work of three blind sisters hands.

Each strand recording some event.
Almost as if by accident.
I have no doubt that they will be.
Still recorded accurately.

The strands are closely intertwined.
Which makes it difficult to find.
A single strand you can purse.
You hope in time will lead you to.

Some one you can identify
Which other sources verify.
Some one well know to history
No longer wrapped in mystery/

But now exposed to public view.
So we can prove their legend true.
It seems to me won't succeed.
Until the day we learn to read.

The never ending tapestry.
.The sisters weave industriously.
Which they have done since time began.
With total disregard for man.

We try and try without success.
Our efforts doomed to be fruitless.
The three blind sister can ensure.
Their secrets will remain secure.

Perhaps that's how its meant to
We have to face reality.
If we had been supposed to know
We'd have succeeded long ago

The sisters weave their tapestry.
Recording human history
But they make sure we can't unwind.

When In The Making Of Attempts

When in the making of attempts,
With intentions that had been premeditated.
What point is being made,
By the one deciding to provide a better attempt,
At a later date?

Who then would have the patience to wait?
Or believes one can produce,
Something that introduces one's best effort?

Unless one decides,
That the making of a first impression...
Is less effective than the making of a second.

And today,
Any sense being made at all...
Is a rarity that captivates and gets attention.

'Did you hear that? '

~No.
Hear what? ~

'Diction. Clarity. Enunciation with effectiveness.
A pattern of speech that is correct with vocal expression.'

~What should we do? ~

'I don't know.
I hope this is not an invasion.'
