Calm, Cool And Collected
There is nothing you have in common with me.
I have been blessed to keep the depth of my anguish,
Concealed from exposing its appearance on my face.
You have no idea what it takes,
To seem as if I am calm, cool and collected.
When on some days I rage inside from my experiences.
Even when those believe they can step on my toes,
They have not a clue...
Where that act they have done in my mind goes.
There is nothing you have in common with me.
I have been blessed to keep the depth of my anguish,
Concealed from exposing its appearance on my face.
You have no idea what it takes,
To seem as if I am calm, cool and collected.
When on some days I rage inside from my experiences.
I know I am blessed.
And so are those who have stepped on my toes.

Inside Is My Mecca
Inside is my mecca.
A peace that is complete!
Released is all conflict.
My mind is at ease.
Inside I find rainbows.
And cloudless blue sky.
I feel Sun rays beaming upon me.
I walk tall with pride,
Without surprise.
Inside is my love hold.
With strength that increases.
I show bliss reflected.
I am blessed to receive it.
Inside me are spirits.
Ancestors who live.
I am this gift given.
And treasured this is!
Inside I keep faith,
As a jewel I caress.
I nourish it to flourish.
And make each step...
Better placed,
Than the best steps I left!
Inside is my mecca.
A peace that is complete!
Released is all conflict.
My mind is at ease.
And as calm as a fresh breeze,
I am blessed to receive to breathe...
Before it leaves.

When The Calm Comes Back Again
WHEN THE CALM COMES BACK AGAIN
When the calm comes back again
After days of anxiety and stress-
When things at last seem going the right way
After a long time of disorder-
When one is simply quiet and happy inside again
And looking forward to whatever is to come-
When the calm comes back again
How blessed and happy and easy life is-
And what a tremendous relief also.

With Their Depthness Of Such Knowledge
We should all feel blessed,
To know there are those amongst us...
Who know exactly the way,
We should all live our lives...
By sharing their insights of correctness.
And their tempers flared prematurely will then cool,
With the comprehension and understanding...
They are willing in patience to prevent anguish.
We should all feel blessed,
To know there are those with direct contact...
With God and the understanding of God's wishes.
And perhaps one day those who lead us,
Into wars to battle over self interests 'consciously'...
Will heal the ones wounded with pain and sorrows,
With their depthness of such knowledge claimed...
To end every conflict they have intentionally started.
Let us all pray that one day,
Their interpretations will awaken them to match...
Their ideals.
To then produce a true peace that today,
Seems so elusive to evade common sense.
And the purpose for it.

Not A Wasted Search
Being blessed to know who it is I am,
And not be disappointed...
With each step taken to probe further,
Into a depth accepted...
Blemished and flawed.
Has helped me to self examine.
And being blessed to know who it is I am,
Has not been a wasted search.
Grateful I am to be identified.

Of 'That' Because Of Them, Now and How!
You seem so calm, cool and collected!
Aren't you concerned?
'About what, why, whom and when? '
Of 'that' because of them, now and how!
'Wow!
No...
I am not.
I use to be upset about all of it.
And yet...
You seem to have all of it separated in categories.
I have never been that involved.
Not to dissect it to be inspected.
Unlike you,
I am blessed not to be that affected.
Wow!
You make me feel even more proud,
That I did not allow myself to get 'that' involved.
Where is your peace? '
Of what?
Pieces of anything I had to give up!
'Wow!
You make me feel even more proud,
That I did not allow myself to get 'that' involved.'

Your shore
It reaches to your shore
To admire and adore
You stand alone
Wait all alone to watch for the days gone
I see you from far off to shore
Raise my level to touch your face therefore
You still shy away and run towards forest
I try and double my efforts to catch you at the best
For the whole day I am burnt with sunrays
It doesn't give me any clue or way
You are not far but not too close either
I strike the shore with force but often wonder
I shall raise the waves again and dare
To take you with me some where
Where no one may be able to reach
You and me only to look at each
You failed to absorb my depth
It was deep, kind and smooth
There was no need to get fear
As you belonged to me and were very dear
I remain calm whole day
With reddish appearance in sky
I look at it and loose calmness
Just to double the efforts to look at the face
You mesmerized me this before and escaped
Waves have fallen back and capped
I have to rush again and wash the shore
With hope to wash your leg's dirt some more

Beatitutes
Blessed is the humble heart
For God resists the proud
From lowly men he'll not depart
While others seek the crowd
Blessed are those who truly care
And those who seek His face
He'll keep them close, they'll not despair
He'll fill them with His grace
Blessed are those who are meek
And those who are truly mild
It is God alone they always seek
They come to Him as a child
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst
For God and all of His ways
And blessed are those who put God first
And seek HIm all off their days
Blessed are those with hearts that weep
And demand no payment of debt
For what they have recieved they do not keep
It is mercy that they collect
Blessed is the heart that is undefiled
And whose eyes have seen the King
For His presence shall flow like the river wild
They'll lift their voices to Him and sing
Blessed are those who reconcile
They are the sons of our Father above
They will strive to go the extra mile
They are filled with His heavenly love
Blessed is the saint who suffers
And forgives even seventy times seven
For Christ's sake he thinks of others
For his is the kingdom of heaven
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad
When they accuse you off all kinds of sin
Do not let those lies make you sad
Just rejoice that Christ dwells within

I Must See What I Feel First
On the tip of my tongue,
Sits the words, 'I Love You'.
But...
Somehow,
In the depths of my heart...
I seek to define,
An appropriate meaning...
To send to my head.
There are embers I wish to burn.
To keep a warmth inside me fed.
I've been here one too many times before.
And my mouth...
Like an unlocked door,
Welcomed in a stranger...
Maybe one or two.
But no more than three...
I thought I knew but didn't.
And my peace of mind,
I no longer wish to be kept hidden.
So much do I enjoy my blessed space.
And hopefully you will come to know it.
But I must see what I feel first,
To be a part of who you are.
That thirst...
With a constant appearance on your face.

The South Wind: A Fisherman's Blessing
O blessed drums of Aldershot!
O blessed South-west train!
O blessed, blessed Speaker's clock,
All prophesying rain!
O blessed yaffil, laughing loud!
O blessed falling glass!
O blessed fan of cold gray cloud!
O blessed smelling grass!
O bless'd South wind that toots his horn
Through every hole and crack!
I'm off at eight to-morrow morn,
To bring
such
fishes back!

How Blessed Am I
How blessed am I for being born
Of parents good and God-fearing!
How blessed am I for siblings nine
Who made my childhood truly great!
How blessed am I for being made
Handsome and healthy, fair and hale!
How blessed am I for gaining ken
And virtues, wisdom, fortitude!
How blessed am I for being reared
So well by parents dutiful!
How blessed am I for achievements
Quite praiseworthy in life on earth!
How blessed am I for having fared
So well in life in every field!
How blessed am I for talents, gifts
That most men cannot dream to have!
How blessed am I for miracles
That gave my life a newer lease!
How blessed am I for finding time
To thank and praise the Almighty!
How blessed am I for grace of God
That goads me on in heaven’s road!
How blessed am I for everything
God gave me amply in His time!
How blessed am I for love of God
That chose me to be Christian!
How blessed am I for hope and faith
That help me follow Jesus’ steps!
How blessed am I for poesy
That made my life stress-free, worthwhile!
How blessed am I for God’s with me
And I’m with Him in earthly life!

The Tempest
You walked into
the dark corridors of my life
like lightening.
For once,
Lighting up
The whole alley.
Exposing
the naked “me”
I had so painstakingly,
So carefully
All along
hidden
in the layers of time.
You stormed into
The calm sea of my life
Like the tempest,
Tearing away
The vast depth
Beneath which
I had
All these days
Buried
My deepest desires.
You entered into
The cold valley of my life
Like the thunder,
Reminding me
The songs of life
For which I had
Forever,
forever
Closed my ears.

Too Grateful to Want Time to Stand Still
I've had a wealth of experiences from which to select.
If ever I decide to quit and sit in blissful reminiscing...
I would miss so much!
But like a blooming that is done until the procedure is over...
I have yet to become idled to wish for a pleasant revisit.
And,
I do my best when the opportunity presents itself,
To taste and absorb those moments as they are!
When they come as they do.
With a deep breath I am blessed to inhale.
Exhaling but keeping inside the view.
Moving to explore a mind unleashed.
As other revelations real enough to touch...
Solicits the attention I give!
And I am too grateful to want time to stand still.
Tomorrow sunrise lifts...
As dawn with the dew takes its time to disappear.
And I wish to witness every bit of it as it unfolds!

You Will Have to Manifest More Than a Passing Interest
It's been quite sometime since I've breast fed.
Or had my running mucoused nose wiped.
Or had my tears dried because of a neighborhood fight,
With a bully that had one time frightened me!
Soon after my eighteenth birthday,
I voluntered and 'joined' the military.
Feeling patriotic and hypnotized by war,
And doing my part to defend a country we all live in!
While others I knew...
Went on to colleges to pursue a certain greed.
That ego wasn't there for me to feed.
And two weeks after my high school graduation...
I was stripped from my childhood,
Dramatically.
Homesickness?
I've seen some guys try to walk home from bootcamp!
And I did stupid stuff...
Wanting my training instructor to find ways to punish me!
Walking to Connecticut from Texas,
Somehow was not a priority or an appetizer.
Today...
After broken marriages and mucho heartbreak.
Death of loved ones I 'knew' I could not endure.
And having ignorance thrown in my face...
By those who 'still' had no idea of the emotions felt,
I alone had to replace by a craze I successfully kept hidden.
And doing that with the grace from God?
Just to have judgements passed upon me...
Like someone was assigned to do that as if it was their job?
I forgave,
Before I even ate in those days!
I know I have been blessed to have survived much 'mess'.
I'll confess this to anyone who wishes to listen...
You have no idea of those things I've could have said,
But kept them to myself.
And have only 'selected' a few of those experiences,
To share to keep an interest flowing.
Isn't that what writers should do?
To give readers like you an insight?
Something to 'touch' the inside of a mind like mine?
And I will not totally embrace anyone 'inside'.
Not for a tour.
To rate the degree of my sufferings.
I don't keep that on exhibit anyway!
What would be the point?
My writings will hint with vivid 'suggestions'.
That's it!
Anything more than that?
You will have to manifest more than a passing interest.
But don't worry.
There is enough here to keep it coming to you,
For as long as you live!
Because in just this one life I've been given...
I feel I have lived many lifetimes.
None of which I wish to forget!
Making my happiness much more appreciated.

Something's Broken
I think something's broken
Then again nothing's smokin'
Or shakin' or chokin' like my ol' truck
But I think something's broken
And I think it's worth notin'
It started about the time
She got all packed up
Could be my ego, could be my pride
Could be my calm, cool, collected side
Might be my heart's comin' eye to eye
With the truth that she wasn't jokin'
I think something's broken
Cause I just been layin' 'round hopin'
That maybe any moment
I'll get on track
I think something's broken
All locked up or frozen cause I can't go forward
And I sure can't go back
Could be my ego, could be my pride
Could be my calm, cool, collected side
Might be my heart's comin' eye to eye
With the truth...
I think it's my heart, comin' eye to eye
With the truth, she wasn't jokin'
I know something's broken
Cause I just started smokin'
And shakin' and chokin'
Like my old truck

Lakini's Juice
It was an evening I shared with the sun
To find out where we belong
From the earliest days
We were dancing in the shadows
More wine
Cuz I got to have it
More skin
Cuz I got to eat it
Inside the outside
By the river
Used to be so calm
Used to be so sane
I rushed the lady's room
Took the water from the toilet
Washed her feet and blessed her name
More peace
Is such a dirty habit
Slow down

Blessed Be Your Name - Hillsong
Blessed be Your name,
In the land that is plentiful.
Where Your streams of abundance flow,
Blessed be Your name.
Blessed be Your name,
When I'm found in the desert place.
When I walk through the wilderness,
Blessed be Your name.
Every blessing You pour out,
I'll turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in,
Lord, still, I will say:
(Chorus)
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your name.
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be Your glorious name.
Blessed be Your name,
When the sun's shining down on me.
When the world's all as it should be,
Blessed be Your name.
Blessed be Your name,
On the road marked with suffering.
When there's pain in the offering,
Blessed be Your name.
Every blessing You pour out,
I'll turn back to praise.
When the darkness closes in,
Lord, still, I will say:
(Chorus) x 2
You give and take away,
You give and take away.
My heart will choose to say,
Lord, blessed be Your name. x 2
(Chorus) x 2

Family
There's a child inside
A man inside
A woman inside
A sage inside
A mother inside with breasts of love
A father inside with hands of care
A child inside beautifully caressed
A mother inside with the wing of dove
A father inside the flight to share
A child inside with parents blessed
A sage inside with a peaceful face
The peace to bestow in all its grace
