Bitter Is The Taste Left On Tongues

Had he not destroyed the lives,
Of millions of people...
With deceit and lies.
And arrogant displays of ignorance.
Something he now says...
May have made some empathetic sense.

He was the first to say there was no recession.
Now he wishes to make claims,
That was inherited.

He lead conservative ideals,
To ruin and deplete a robust economy.
And not a word did he listen to others.
Preferring to succeed...
From a position of egotistic needs.

A forgiving people hear and see this.
With grateful wishes,
He and his corrupted followers...
Can not leave soon enough.
To begin a healing...
That will take decades for those who suffer,
To feel and believe!
With few expressing an energy left,
With a smile to lift!

Isolated greed and wholesome stupidity...
Will leave a bitter taste on tongues for years.
As those most affected by the depth of crimes condoned...
Will realize their quality of life once the pride on Earth,
Had been miraculously erased...
By a leadership with no remorse at all,
To ever be shown or known!

Demons in motion...
Are not attached to these emotions.

And bitter is the taste left on tongues...
For what to them has been consciously done!
Tricked by the wicked.
And made sick...
Are they to their stomachs.
To know this feeling is made real.
As it exists,
For them to feel!

Innuendoed to Convince

Fear not being completely honest,
In an atmosphere reeking of deceit.
You...
Of those wholesome sensibilities!

Eventually your intergrity will be identified.
And those who lived their lives mystified by lies...
Will discover their decay.
Deluded and fantasized.
Teased by sweets and compromised.
But has delivered no long lasting peace.

With wishes they had turned away,
From a hollowness enjoyed each day.
Sought on a daily basis.
Preferring a more solid existence employed.
At least one less pretensed.
Or one wished had been less annoying!
And lived to prevent from being destroyed.
By threats of terrorists or homophobic racists!

Since one day they will come to realize,
Their own lives lived...
For them nearing the end,
Has made no sense to defend.

With a rumored conscious intention.
Innuendoed to convince,
A fulfillment of some kind has taken place.
Even at the expense,
Of their sheltered and isolated misunderstandings.

How Does It Feel?

How does it feel,
To have your realities debated?
To have your essence of your way of life...
On the precipice,
Of being stripped away from you overnight!

This nailbiter has to have you uptight!
To come to grips to realize,
Those picked for leadership...
Have gambled away your well-being,
And thoughtlessly your benefits.

How does it feel,
To have your standards and values erased?
While you sit with nothing to eat...
As you pride yourself with exquisite etiquette!
Knowing you are moments from being evicted.

How does it feel,
To be completely duped?
Tricked by slicksters from resources you treasure.
And told what you thought had belonged to you...
Now requires your blood and heartbeat too!

How does it feel,
To be cast aside like trash?
How does it feel to be called out of your name...
By those who show no empathy!
And you have exhausted,
The need to feed you further deceit.
How does it feel...
To have others deplete you of your dignity?

Believe me!
There are those of color with a history,
That have already experienced...
Those acts of greed,
You assisted in implementing.
Now it's your turn to bleed.
How does it feel?
Surreal?

There Has to Be 'Something' Left to Salvage

There has to be 'something' left to salvage.
Something with a footstep placed,
And taken towards integrity.
Something with a fingerprint on it...
That says with uncertain proof,
He even knows what that means.

Something besides lies and deceit done.
And a legacy that will state...
He saved the land from terrorists that would come.
Or came and claimed to have stunned.

There has to be 'something' left to salvage.
Something with a footstep placed,
And taken towards integrity!

He and his followers would like to see,
Him vindicated...
For making decisions that will lift his name up...
And away from the gutter from a greed satiated.

There has got to be something,
Other than corruption and smut!
Smothered and dipped in utter ignorance.
And an ending of a greatness one country 'had'..
He and incompetence has left in rags!

Since he and what he has created...
Leaves a democracy in devastation.
And one sad man who secretly grieves.

There has to be 'something' left to salvage.
Something other than a directed bitterness...
Shown with an openness.
And criticizes a failed leadership.
That would be difficult to disguise,
For those who witnessed it...
And despise.
To leave it and him unscathed.
What in the days and years ahead can be said?

Many are left sickened.
More are left dead!
And those who are wounded...
Will never know a peace to come,
In their heads!

And he will leave behind much to grieve.
Whether he belives what he did was 'just' or not!
He was not of the justice frame of mind kind!

Feeding On Evil

The creating of rivalries that eventually leave,
People improverished...
Builds up feelings of being superior,
And strengthens mental securities...
Of those with low self esteem,
Who practice with weapons to destroy human beings.

Those with thoughts like this,
Are no different than a cancer allow to grow.
Even though the cures to relieve these agonies,
Have long been made available.
But fear has it advantages,
To benefit the ones unconscious.

It's in the advertising of good hype,
That keeps people supporting...
The creation of fears and misdeeds,
With beliefs those of deceit and greed...
Actually have sensibilities to heal wounds.
They wont since it's not to their best interest.

The creating of rivalries that eventually leave,
People improverished...
Is,
For reasons to be left condoned...
To diminish all quality of life as shown.
And the ending of humanity if not stopped.

Even though,
The cures to relieve agonies that come...
With an intentional implementation of grief that is done,
Have long been made available to eliminate sorrows.
To ensure this existence of life,
Is enjoyed by everyone blessed to be gifted with it.

The markings left by the beast feeding on evil increased,
Will be decreased to cease and soon!

Effects of what Others Do

Don't you dislike those implications?
I know I use to.
Especially the ones made,
By those who owe their lives to you.
The ones who have lied to others...
Who now have everything surfacing,
To have people see them...
As the fools I knew.

Those are the ones who like to take credit,
For things they did not do.
And today they want to prove themselves,
By overcompensating their judgements passed.
Only to find themselves,
Trapped by lies and deceit believed...
Buried in their past.
To now see what they've done now being trashed.

And not by me!
By that reflection they see.

'What goes around comes around.'
My mother use to say.
And, 'God don't like ugly, boy.
So you don't be that way.
He knows what's going on.
You'll see that one day.'

And as I've aged and matured,
I see the effects left by what others do.
With the attempt made to ruin lives of others.
And I know if they could have their druthers,
They would wish their feelings now felt inside...
Would not cling to linger as truths they can not deny.

'There is a reason WHY for everything.'

And I...
Use to dislike those implications made.
But I must say today I realize as I empathize...
Those I had despised,
Ruined their own lives not mine.

I'm not the one sitting with wishes,
I had lived a more righteous life.
I am happy living the life God to me has given!
With a conscious free and glad I had listened.
And did not rush to revenge those judgements.

I Was Made To Feel Different In My Younger Years

I remember sitting in the corners of shadows.
Wishing to be invisible,
After making attempts to disappear.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.

My voice was deep at the age of twelve.
And my knees knocked.
I was aware I walked pigeon toed.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.

People were quick to critique me then.
When they would laugh at me.
I laughed right back at them to hide and cry alone.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.

I grew wiser before I aged.
And years it would take for me to learn to forgive.
But I did with a doing successfully.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.

Perceptive, empathetic and sometimes distant.
Removed from anguish I knew others felt.
Yet today I might sit with periodic embitterness.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.

I've learned to use my talents and gifts,
To lift me beyond any loneliness that visited.
And with slow and painful steps I grew to improve.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.
And when I self examine to reflect...
So happy I am to have held on to my patience,
With a giving to others a respect regardless...
If little of it was shown to me,
When I was growing to bloom.

I was made to feel different in my younger years.
Hungering then to be accepted.
I was made to feel different in my younger years.
Hungering then not to be neglected.

Some People Listen Some People Don't

You judge me before my words can come out
You can’t even look my way
And you leave me with no doubt
You won’t listen to a word I say
And I will never be heard by you
No matter what it is that I do
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

You shut me up before I can speak
You shut me up so you can keep me weak
Now I breaking all your rules
That you have made just for me
To keep me away from my history
From my strength and my dignity
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

You don’t know how many times I have prayed
That you would hear the words that I have to say
Now get out of the way
Because we no longer have to stay in this prison of the mind
Because we find you guilty of the ultimate crime
Now get out of the way
So that they can hear what I have to say
And begin to make their plans for escape today

Even though you made me a thug,
It is out of love that I put my message out
Find your voice in school and follow the Golden Rule
And shout it out, with out a doubt
That you will be heard, until you are heard
Right down to the very last word
Some people listen some people don’t
Some people listen some people won’t

Going To Be Left To Leave

Wouldn't it be nice,
If we were not enticed by temptations.
And peace wished to exist,
Would not be marketed...
With such a high price to pay for it.

Wouldn't it be nice,
If people lived with values...
Others respected.
And did not discover them to take away.
But left them alone to appreciate.

Wouldn't it be nice,
If those differences God sees fit...
Were actually accepted,
And all who live to witness it...
Would think of themselves as blessed.

Wouldn't it be nice,
If those asleep would awaken with wishes...
To leave behind their selfish ways,
To realize there is only one Earth.
And the Earth comes first.

And no matter who 'has' or believes 'what'...
No one or that which is claimed to possess,
Stays to remain without a transition.
Everything shown is going to be left to leave,
On Earth as it is meant to be.

Right where they are...
The Sun, Moon, Earth and Stars,
Are not in conflict.
If they were...
You and I would not exist,
To make claims of ownership.

I Feel Your Pain

I don't know why
But I feel your pain
Maybe because I too
Was left out in the rain
The rain of life
That drains the soul
Leaving nothing
But a big empty hole
You try and try
With all your might
To fill it up
Grabbing at anything that might
Make you feel whole again
Then you realize after all of the pain
That God wasn't the one
That made you feel the pain
It was the people all around you
That made you feel that way
For the God I know is a loving God
Forgiving not hurtful God
Giving of His love

How Easy Has This Been Made To Do?

How easy has it been made,
For anyone to lift...
An accusatory finger to point to someone else,
As a reason for their problems?
How easy has it been made,
To destroy other lives including their own...
By the creating of lies and hiding behind them.

How easy has it been made,
To ruin the quality and standard of life...
Of those who want to live their lives right,
In environments where people have been taught...
Mediocrity is acceptable.
And a public performance of ignorance,
Is just the thing to do since it's attractive too.

How easy has it been made,
To degrade a neighborhood to do it with a doing done?
As others from the outside watch this,
With an open invitation for more to come.
As if everyone has free admission to see fools in a zoo.
How easy has this been made to do?

And who benefits from this?
Not even the ones who make a dollar in profit.
Or the ones who created it,
With beliefs they can drive away...
To an exit that no longer exist.
Or a door to lock to keep them safe.
Those who have that kind of mind will never from it escape.

How Am I Qualified?

How am I qualified?
I would not be selected,
To be in your presence!
What experience do I have?
Has anything you verified,
Been connected or tied to corruption?
My life is based on 'fact'...
Not on created lies!
I am here to replace a mess,
I did not create.
I am here to achieve...
Not sit around and fake!
What did I like about my last position?
Leaving it in a better condition.
What did I dislike and why?
Being surrounded by incompetence.
And being around people who made no sense...
And got paid.
Proving I can correct mistakes,
Others had made.
Being taken for granted.
And having my point of view slanted.
Having my character slandered and despised.
Seeing people backstab and creating viscious alibis.
Gossipying and not doing tasks assigned.
Dining on the clock and whining all the time!
Why should you hire me?
That's a decision you must make.
But if you take a look out of your window...
And leave those pretensions you have behind.
You will discover there are very few left...
Who are 'not' completely out of their minds.
You are not going to find anyone like me...
For that fee to continue to swallow your BS,
And smother your crimes!
Let's get real here.
If you don't hire me...
Who else will you get?
To protect what's left of a quality of life,
You did your best to keep away from me.
Now that infestation has defected your reality.
And for years I've been getting you to hear and see...
Without me you will never do things right!
That's why you have few peaceful nights.
How am I qualified?
I've stood by and watched you,
Defy your own ignorance,
To spite everything I am.
Including my intelligence.
If you don't hire me and my honesty...
You will never climb out of the hole,
That swallows you as it grows.
How am I qualified?
I would not be selected,
To be in your presence!
With a mind still clear...
That is competent and bold!
And that clearly has not happened here!
I do not fear success or working at my best.
I may be more than qualified.
Judging from the surprised look you have in your eyes.
I would call what I have 'integrity'.
And if you don't hire me...
It will be the last of it you see!
And I hope you wont gamble with this opportunity.
Especially at these prices you offer and wish to pay!
Consider this deal a steal!

Be Young You

The tongues of some men are made of metal
The tongues of some men are made of oil
But the keeper of those men never rolled
Their tongues for anybodys free ride but his own
Now the oily tongues are thirsty for black gold.
But the old men are going to bed
Theyll be sleeping through the future
And the children red with fire
They got to move away the old mans rusty beds.
Now the tongue, the tongue of a master
That should be laughter - with dancing legs
Like a flying wheel for the weak and sad man
Some tongues of man are made of silence
And your eyes will listen.

My Death Is Coming Soon

My death it is coming soon
I can feel it in the air
And I know that I will not be missed
Even when I am lying there.
I have tried the best in this life
And I helped out all that I could
But when it came my time for help
I looked around, and no one stood.
I don't know who I am anymore
I know that I just don't belong
So when I leave this world I wont care
Because I believe my living was all wrong.

My death it is in my dreams
So in reality I am dying everyday
I have pleaded and begged to everyone
Even to GOD I fell to my knees to pray.
I wished that I would be missed before I was gone
I wished someone in myself, would just believe
But all I hear is that I didn't miss much in this life
But they never had to plead, what about me.
If I were someone else it would be a different story
Their life and memories wouldn't be at the end
Someone would be there for them each and everyday
And everywhere they look, they would see a friend.

My life is coming to an end
Everyday I feel the coldness that much more
Now overtime that I look, I am alone
As no one sides with me, no one has done before.
Why must one person in life be treated so bad
Why must his dreams and wishes be washed away
Is everyone else wishes more important that is
Should his dreams and wishes be all erased.
I am told to wish and dream what others expect
Even if its the dreams and wishes that others had
But then all theirs smiles have been from yesterday
And yesterday was the time that made me glad.

My life is almost at its end
I can feel the people walking on my grave
And one thing I do know, it is I will be replaced
And truly I wish everyone a happier and peaceful day.
So why must I be treated the way that I am
I truly do try my best to help people in this life
To see them smile and not to hurt anyone
What wrong could be worth that simple price.
So I wish my life was a better time
I wish and pray that all treated me like a friend
And I wish I wasn't used or took advantage of
And sadly, I wish that my life wasn't coming to its end.

Bitter Sweet

(d. pickerill/p. odonoughue)
Bitter sweet
Bitter sweet
I never thought Id understand
Never thought I could
The way I feel about you
And how much I need your love
How much I need your love
Bitter sweet
If I analysed each feeling
And captured every thought
Id not be any nearer
To the beating of your heart
The beating of your heart
Bridge:
Its neither pain nor pleasure
Ice cold or tropic heat
Your love is hard to measure
But its taste, mmm, its taste
Is bitter sweet
Bitter sweet
Bitter sweet
Now as I think about you
And the way you make me feel
You hurt me and I doubt you
You smile and my heart heals
Smile and my heart heals
Bridge
Bitter sweet (x5)

Bitter sweet (x7)

One Little Comment

One little comment can really change your life;
It can make you feel good or cut you like a knife.
As a result, you may now want to try something new,
Or with an aspect of life, you may now be through.
You mull the comment over and take it to heart;
The speaker of the comment, unaware they’ve played a part.

The chances are that, of the comment, the speaker has forgotten,
But you are now left feeling really encouraged or really rotten.
Some comments are just throw-a-ways,
But they can easily make or break your day.
Some comments stick forever in your mind,
Whether they’re really hurtful or really kind.

Many years later, a comment you may still be able to quote;
It could be one which made you sink or one which made you float.
You will probably still be able to recall it word for word,
And even imitate the tone in which the comment was first heard.
As the result of a comment, you may feel better or worse,
And the speaker of the comment, you’ll either love or curse.

A comment can make you give up or give you the will to succeed;
Off one little comment, our further thoughts will often feed.
They can change the way that you see yourself,
And even have a good or bad effect on your health.
A bad comment can leave us feeling rather unsure,
Whereas a good comment, can leave us wanting more.

Just one comment, which may last only a few fleeting seconds,
May result in a whole new life, which suddenly now beckons.
You may leave your old life far behind,
Or a whole new life, you may now find.
So just take a moment and think before you speak;
Of the joy you may bring or the havoc you may wreak.

A View To Complete And Realize

Following those paths,
That ultimately lead to oblivion...
Is something done some people do,
As if this was their custom...
With a doing of it.
To prove they exist to initiate chaos,
And confusion.

Those not learning,
From their own repeated experiences...
Should not be admonished for expressing ignorance.
There are those with fatalistic ambitions,
Who are rarely found sitting in seats of leadership...
That seek,
At the expense of others...
A view to complete and realize their sick sadistic wishes.

And like sheep,
The people allow these people with charisma...
To follow.
Believing them to represent their interests the best.
And they 'do' represent...
Their overwhelming lack of concern,
As best as they possibly can present it!

Murdered By Their Tongues

Threatened by a mentalness,
That spreading gossip did.
And murdered by their tongues.

Whatever between them did exist,
That ruined their happiness...
And long loving relationships,
Has been murdered by their tongues.

Murdered by their tongues,
Abandoned good deeds are left undone.
In big numbers.

Murdered by their tongues,
Some people had to run...
To find their comfort.

Murdered by their tongues,
Some choose to begin to run...
To find their comfort,
And unencumbered by the numbers.

They've been murdered by their tongues.
Stubborn these people,
Who've been murdered by their tongues.
Unconscious people,
Who are murdered by their tongues.
These fools are equal,
Who will murder anyone with their wicked tongues.

Murdered by their tongues,
Some people had to run...
To find their comfort.

Threatened by a mentalness,

Feel Sad For Me

Feel sad for me
The 'death' I feel
For the thing I mourn
That wasn't real

The burning ache
So bitter sweet
Unleashed from where
My wishes sleep

Beneath the surface
Frozen cold
Defrosted by
Desires untold

So warm it felt
Though tinged with sorrow
A mouth of taste
Forbidden to swallow

My heart is whole
safe and cherished
And inner demons
Would see it perished?

If not for sense
And circumstance
How fond is felt
The backward glance

To Keep Up With the Times

It does not mean because I express an ignorance...
It is not fresh.
I pride myself on expressing the freshest of ignorance,
I can deliver!
And make it available.
I do not want to disappoint anyone with claims,
That I am not doing my best,
To keep up with the times.
And 'that' seems to be the main attraction.

With a marketing campaign to legalize it as a sport!

And if it is ignorance that is collectively expressed...
Why would I want to be left behind and isolated,
With a mind that seeks to express an intelligence?
I can always pretend to have that.
Just like everyone else does.
With or without common sense!
And today...
Ignorance with diversity,
Is readily accepted!

Man In The Middle

Rewrite of Michael Jackson's Man In The Mirror

Girl, I'm about to make a change
Through loving you in this life
It don't feel so good
But I know I gotta do it
I gotta try to make a difference
I gotta make this love affair right

As I turn up the collar on this tattered old Winter coat
This rumor about you I just heard is blowin' my mind
They're all talkin' it up in the streets
About how out of your most personal
You let other guys eat
How could I have been so blind
Trying so desperatly to pretend not to see
Your greedy needs
A lover's disregard
A broken heart shattered even more
By your too low cut tube top
Long ago now I realize
Lost the mate of my soul
Led each other on
'Cause we nowhere else to go
That's why now, babe, I just gotta let you know

I'm done being the man in the middle
I'm through asking you to change your ways
Don't know how I can make this final message any clearer
Girl, once you made my world
A better place
Now all your loves me with is a bitter taste
Took a look at myself
Fed up with you
Now I'm gonna make a change
Took a look at myself
So very unhappy
Solo in love with you
Now I gotta, just gotta make this change
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na, Nah, yeah)

Too long I've been a victim of your selfish love
It's way past time I became a man and realized
That with you I can no longer share my heart, bed or home
So much better for me, babe
Living now on my own
Alone

A flower you are
Deeply flawed
Broke my heart
Washed out my dream
Ooh babe, I gotta follow the pattern of the wind now, you see
Cause with you is not a good place to be
That's why I'm telling you to leave me
Leave me alone!

I'm done being the man in the middle (Ooh)
I'm through asking you to change your ways (Ooh)
Don't know how I can make this final message any clearer
Girl, once you made my world
A better place
Now all your loves me with is a bitter taste
Took a look at myself
Fed up with you
Now I'm gonna make a change
Took a look at myself
So very unhappy
Solo in love with you
Now I gotta, just gotta make this change
(Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na, Nah, yeah)

I'm done being the man in the middle (Ooh, Ooh)

(You know you'll never change!)
Don't know how I can make this final message any clearer

A better place
Now all your love leaves me with a bitter taste
Took a look at myself
Fed up with you
Now I'm gonna make a change
(This time I'm gonna get it right, so over wasting my time)
(Cause when you closed your heart)
You shattered mine....shattered mine!
Oh girl, when you closed your heart

You left me with no choice but to quit being
That man, that man, that man, that man
Ooh, that man in the middle
(Man in the middle, oh yeah!)
That man, that man, that man
Girl, I'm so done asking you to change your ways
(Girl, we both know you're never gonna change!)
We both know I can no longer be.....that man
Don't know how to make this final message any clearer
Girl, you used to make my world a better place
Now all your love leaves me with is a bad taste
Took a look at myself
Fed up with you
Now I'm gonna make a change
Took a look at myself
So very unhappy
Solo in love with you
Now I'm gonna make a change
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na Nah
(Oh yeah!)
For you
Not gonna feel so good now!
For me
It's gonna be better now!
Yeah yeah! Yeah yeah!
Yeah yeah!
Na Na Na, Na Na Na, Na Na Nah
Na Nah
(Oooh...)
Oh no, no, no
I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good!
I know!
Rock on!
(Change....)
Girl, you can just go....yourself
You ho
I'm putting a stop to it
Just go.....yourself
(Yeah! I'm making a change!)
I'm gonna make that change today!
Hoo!
(Man in the middle)
Girl, you did this to yourself
Lover
Hoo!
(Yeah! I'm gonna make a change!)
You know-I've just got to quit being
That man, that man
(Man in the middle)
I've got to
I've got to move on!
Move on! Move on!
I've got to....
Stand up! Stand up!
Stand up and be a man now!
(Yeah-make that change)
Girl, you can just go.....yourself now
(Man in the middle)
Hoo! Hoo! Hoo!
Aaow!
(Yeah-I'm gonna make that change
Gonna make that change and move....on!
(Man in the middle)
Girl, you better believe it!
Better believe it!
You better believe it!
You better believe....
(Change...)
Girl, I'm gonna make that change!
