I’ve been counting down the days to
see the shoeing of my beautiful horse
bandit
he has bad feet because
he was run hard in barrel racing
and put away wet
by the people who owned him before I did
I was taking my last ride on him
for the week
or that’s what I thought
at 3pm troy drove up
I told him all the angles he needed to shoe
my baby
I let him be and do his thing
I came back a hour latter see how he was doing
and to offer some water
cause of
the kind hearted person I am
he said I may have to stay off bandit for a while
I didn’t think that meant
A WHOLE YEAR
that man messed bandit’s feet up so bad that now
I couldn’t ride him for a year
it wasn’t fair to bandit he didn’t do anything
to deserve a whole year of pain
It wasn’t fair to me either cause
that is one of the strongest way to build your confidence up
and bond with your horse
I love riding horses
I have 11 other horses
I have to ride on a normal day
but bandit is my baby
and my best friend
and when you mess with my friends
you’ve crossed the line

the port of pulawan
is insomniac,
it is the meaning of its name,
it does not sleep,
people here, even the children have
deep sunken eyes
like an old deep
well,
when you call a name,
it echoes deep down there and it comes back
to you after
a while, telling you
'there is no water here! '
when you arrive here,
you call a name, and it is the same answer,
like what their eyes
are saying,
in fact, shouting,
you hear it well,
a friend of yours with long hair
disembarked immediately
the sound of arrival faded with the smoke of the
ship,
he is met by your student who flunked the bar this year,
the first time that you notice
that this guy is limping,
she carried a bag full of clothes,
dirty ones from the hospital
her mother has cancer of the lymph nodes
and at terminal stage
she has her only daughter
who drops her samsung tablet on the floor of the boat
nothing is broken,
they invite you for a ride in their old
black car,
you shake your head, you want to wait
somebody is coming,

I fell asleep on the couch last night, woke up with the tv on.
There was a woman in tight cotton exercise shorts
And a big plastic machine she was climbing on.
She said "the abacycle guarantees ten inches off your waist,
And 50 pounds in just 3 minutes a day."
I went to bed knowing the revolution had been postponed
And everything was ok.
You can buy it, you can try it, go right ahead.
But dont be fooled folks, theres only one.
I forget the guys name but I know somebody must have said
Sell it and they will come boys, sell it and they will come.
I switched the channels and there was evel knievel, I thought that he was
Dead.
I found myself sitting there quietly, hanging on every word he said.
"now folks, the stimulator removes all pain from your life.
And the best day of your life will be when you try this little thing out."
The camera moved in as he said, "now let me tell you ladies and gentlemen,
Pain is something old evel knows a little about"
