As Comfortable In Your Pity As Possible

You are not going to find correctness in these streets.
Witness the trash thrown upon them.
You might find validation for your deluted philosophies.
And a wish to maintain your pride,
On the back of what you perceived to be
A way of life you will never see again.
Or has been reflected...
In distant or recent memory!

Although,
Maintaining a romance with 'what ifs'
Is extremely popular.

If I were you...
And I am not!
I want 'that' to be agreed upon.
However...
IF I were you.
I would look around and realize,
Your pity party has had some gate crashers.
And overflows from the rim,
With indecision that has been at the brim.
Unbalanced.

If I were you...
And I am not!
I want that to be agreed upon!
I wouldn't even announce you were leaving.
Stop weeping!
I'd just get up and go!
Only weepers are missed.
You've hosted these sorrows for too long.
You need a fresh outlook.
And quick!

If I were you...
And I am not!
I want that to be agreed upon!
I would not hestitate doing it immediately.
Because some folks will embrace you,
To believe you can not leave.
And want you to feel as comfortable in your pity,
As possible!
And not one empathizer to come to your aid.
To guide you away from this mess!

Your agonies are loved.
Trust me.
More than you can fathom!

Get Up Off That Pity Pot

Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.

No need to keep weeping tears,
That long ago overflowed.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.

Holding onto woes,
Have eroded your motives.
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
So wipe your eyes to dry,
And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!
Off your butt!

And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!

Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot,
And stop those woes to drop.

This turn look away
There I took a left turning
Before I came of age
I agreed to let it out
I agreed to let it go
I agreed to turn around
I agreed to turn my face away
Danger is the most important
Fear you'll ever know
The transporting of refugees
The silent night is cold
And all the time
We looked around
As we were never told
But we agreed to let it out
We agreed to let it go
We agreed to turn our backs
We agreed to turn our face away, away

That Pity B-Gone!

Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!

Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!

We knew that pity had to split!
B-gone.
We knew that our hearts would split, and soon...
B-gone.
If we let that pity sit,
Between us....
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit,
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit...
Between us!

And...
You'd believe,
That I could never love you.
To leave me feeling sorry,
And blue.

But...
I would know,
How deep inside my love goes.
And protecting what I love,
Before it overflows.

Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!

So...
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And maybe not so much the benefits.
Since I would miss too much your many moods.

That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone!

The-Woe-Is-Me-Syndrome

I can relate to being deeply depressed.
Emotionally drained,
And mentally stressed.
I can relate to those who drink and smoke pot.
Walking somewhere and remembering I had driven,
And forgot.
And then couldn't find the car I parked...
Or remember its color!
I have been there!

But 'the-woe-is-me-syndrome'...
I did not apply to my life like some.
Some people are there like they belong.
They dance the same routine and sing the same tired song!
It is as if whatever possible thing on Earth can happen...
Does
But just to them.

And they seek to wallow away in their grief.
Wishing to share it with whomever they meet.
And it gets difficult to express a sincere empathy in their need.
Because they will take it and keep it fresh.
Without making an attempt...
To get over their sorrows.
Or the ones collected that they have borrowed.

They do not wish to address their agonies at all.
They wish to keep them as if visitors.
Making them welcomed until they do not leave!
Hoping no one notices...
They have become too comfortable,
In their pity party where time kept has stalled.

Get Up Off Your Pity Pot To Stop It

To wiggle out from under all doubts,
With a hanging them out to dry...
In front of passersby to eye,
Is intended to get attention.

Give those petty bits of pity,
To solicit empathy...
Away.
Today.
And...
Throw those doubts you've picked to pity,
With that selfishness that doesn't pay...
To get attention to gain.

Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
And...
Get up off your pity pot to drop.

Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
'Cause,
Believe this or not...
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.

Fight those doubts to stop and dropp them.
'Cause no pity benefits.
Fight those doubts to stop and dropp them.
'Cause no pity benefits.
And...
Believe this or not,
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...
Pity does not benefit.

Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
'Cause,
Believe this or not...
Very few are into pity.
And believe this or not...

Get up off your pity pot to stop this quick.

Your pity does not benefit.

Just get up off your pity pot to stop it.
And...
Just get up off your pity pot to stop it quick!
'Cause believe this or not...
Your pity does not benefit,
One bit.

Deleted

The last time you said no,
And I agreed.
You wanted me to extend to you,
An apology.
I couldn't believe you actually insisted.
You wanted me to resist.
But instead I went along with it.

Remember when I persisted...
To get you to see me differently?
I wanted to prove to you,
I was genuine and true.
But you wanted to play hard to get.
And when you did that,
I had no regrets.

And now you wish to begin again.
After you have discovered,
My honesty is not a trend.
I am not someone you can dump,
And pick back up!
You thought you were too good for me.
But it is you who has run out of luck.

The last time you said no,
And I agreed.
I deleted you off the scene.
And that was done immediately.
I am not the one,
Suffering from an emotion of desperate need.

The Option To Do As You Please Clause

The bottom line,
Is needing no signature.
Or a validation of that which takes place.
The bottom line,
Whether definitions are agreed upon or not...
Will ensure a captivating of attention,
Regardless of the frowns shown...
On faces demanding they are entitled,
To additional suitable options.

'But we have not agreed upon the options!
And we protest the tone of your delivery.'

~And again...
As you can see,
This bottom line is quite specific.
You will notice...
The Option To Do As You Please Clause,
Has been eliminated.
Thank you for reminding me.
Sometimes I forget to use,
My velvet vocal touches.
How's this?
More soothing?

Take your time.
Read it again!
NEXT.~

Landslide

(john farrar)
Cold winds rarely blow
Here at the end of the rainbow
Guess its hard to believe
Id be willing to leave
Someone walked up behind me
Seemed to find me
I felt him standing there, I turned around and
Saw the face of an angel, I fell
It wasnt fair, it just wasnt fair
He took my heart, it was a landslide
You know it was a landslide
My head was saying this is the man
My heart agreed
My minor desires turned to major needs
My needs wont be denied
It was a landslide
Somehow Im thrilled by all he says
High on his campaign promises
I dont wanna come down
I dont wanna come down
But no promises he made me could persuade me
Like the loneliness that comes on when i
Try to go on without him
Try to doubt him
I confess, I have to confess
He took my heart, it was a landslide
You know it was a landslide
My head was saying this is the man
My heart agreed
My minor desires turned to major needs
My needs wont be denied
It was a landslide
Im in heaven when hes around
In heaven when hes around
And Im hoping that he might be
Feeling the same as me
Im in heaven, heaven
It isnt hard to see
He took my heart, it was a landslide
You know it was a landslide
My head was saying this is the man
My heart agreed
My minor desires turned to major needs
My needs wont be denied
It was a landslide
Im gonna tell everybody I see
Hes the only party for me
It really was a, it really was a
You know it was a landslide
It really was a landslide
My head was saying this is the man
My heart agreed
My minor desires turned to major needs
My needs wont be denied
It was a landslide
Ooh it was a landslide
He took my heart, it was a landslide
Oh it was a landslide
He took my heart, it was a landslide
Oh it was a landslide

You Can?

YOU CAN TRUST ME WITH YOUR LOVE
YOU CAN TRUST ME WITH YOUR HEART
YOU CAN TRUST ME WITH YOUR LIFE
DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN REALLY TRUST ME?

YOU CAN LOVE ME AS MUCH AS YOU WANT
WITH YOUR HEART, BODY, AND SOUL
I WILL NOT STOP YOU
SO PLEASE DO NOT STOP ME WHEN I LOVE YOU THE SAME

YOU CAN FEEL MY VIBES WITH YOUR SOUL
VIBES OF PASSION
DO YOU HAVE A SMILE ON YOUR FACE THAT A NEW LOVER
WOULD HAVE JUST THINKING ABOUT ME
DO YOU FEEL MY PRESENCE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED
OR EVEN WHEN I AM NOT THERE.
CAN YOU FEEL THE POWER YOU AND I HAVE OVER ONE ANOTHER?

WE CAN WORSHIP EACH OTHER
EVEN PRAY TOGETHER
NO RESTRAINTS FOR THIS NEW RELATIONSHIP
JUST LOVING ONE ANOTHER
DOING WHAT COULD BE NATURUAL, UNPLANNED FOR US
YOU HAVE TO JUST LET ME LOVE YOU,
LIKE I'LL LET YOU LOVE ME
PROMISE
FREELY AND SPIRITUALLY
THE ONLY WAY WE KNOW HOW
IS THAT AGREED?

Don't Dip Yo Pity Here To Sit

Don't dip yo pity here to sit.
No permitted pity here can visit.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit.
No permitted pity here can visit.

When you tire of your weeping...
You can call on me.
But don't dip yo pity in a pit!
To leave it here to sit.

When you tire of your weeping...
You can call on me.
But don't dip yo pity in a pit!
To leave it here to sit.

I'll call 9-1-1...
To rescue me.

Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!

I'll call 9-1-1...
To rescue me.

Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!

No tears on my pillow.
Unless they're mine to cry.

Everyday you bring me pity.
As if your pity thrives.

Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo...
Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo!

I'll call 9-1-1...
To rescue me.

Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo.

I'll call 9-1-1...
To rescue me.

Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!

No tears on my pillow.
Unless they're mine to cry.

Everyday you bring me pity.
As if your pity thrives.

Well.
Well.
Well.
Well.
Well.
Well,
WELL...
Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo...
Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo...
Don't dip yo pity.
Don't dip yo pity here to sit!
No yo!

Bastards of Bastions

Orphaned are those,
Barely sitting in their nodded stupors.
Drifting back and forth through wishes.
With compositions of conditions,
That keep them weak.
In minds defined by a life lived,
On inner city streets.

These are bastards of bastions...
Raised to be defeated.
No one to encourage,
Made efforts to keep.

These are bastards of bastions...
Raised to be defeated.
No one to encourage,
Made efforts to keep.

So they,
Find uselessness as no crime!
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As they validate a nonsense lived.

As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As they validate a nonsense lived.

So they,
Find uselessness as no crime!
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.

Orphaned are those,
Barely sitting in their nodded stupors.
Drifting back and forth through wishes.
With compositions of conditions,
That keep them weak.
In minds defined by a life lived,
On inner city streets.

As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.

As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As they validate a nonsense lived.

Bastards of bastions!
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As they validate a nonsense lived.

Bastards of bastions,
And born from quick passions.
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.
As a pity rips them.
And this pity grips them.

Saturday Morning

There is a long road I never went down before
Where you greeted me with a familiar smile
I let your arms embrace me and keep me safe
Your eyes the color of blue waters meet mine
Like a lighthouse you guide me to your world
Within your wisdom you let me talk it all out
Until you fully understand why I hesitated

Your head imprinted in the pillow next to mine
The sound of the shower invading like a waterfall
I am contemplating to start this day with you right
Abandoning large arid regions of my soul as agreed
I will open my heart and hear all of your words
As the drops of water run slowly down your back
Undistracted I find a new solitude in your presence

Listening to your gentle words I think about love
As you reach for the coffee steaming in your cup
I am no longer waiting but conforming what you give
Tucking away the sorrows of long lost days in time
I can look at you now and let you walk with me
Down that long road with the construction sign
So my answer for your Sunday plan is - Yes

They Want A New Announcer

He did not decide the party was coming to a close.
He agreed and was chosen to make the announcement,
That the party would soon be over.
And many accepted that.

Now they reject that fact presented.

They want a new announcer,
That is not so quick...
To end their delusions.
Preferrably someone other than...'that' one!

However...
Whoever comes to turn on bright lights,
After they have been dimmed...
Will come to declare,
What was there...
Is over for them!

And still,
They will not believe or accept the message.

You asked for this.
And every bit of what I have,
Is yours from me to be given.
You asked for this!
Oh yes,
You did.

We agreed to always between us,
Have honesty.
And my being honest,
You now wish...
I wouldn't easily be as free,
To share this honesty we agreed.
You asked for this!
Oh yes,
You did.

And now you murmur,
Between clinched teeth and twisted lips...
Your hips belong in a thong bathing suit.
And I say the wearing of that thong is wrong.
You just don't look good at all in it.
And if I suggested,
Your hips and chest block out the Sunset...
You declare me insensitive.
When it is only honesty from me to you I give.

Maintaining Long Term Survival

Maintaining long term survival,
With an outlook that is kept motivated...is the key!
And should be placed on one's agenda,
As their priority indefinitely.

Today as minds digress in progressive purpose,
It is best one stays extra alert and exert more observation.
And with determination to expand the experience of life.

Prayer with daily exercise!
There's nothing like it.
Ignore anyone who says they have no time for this.
As long as you find the time for it...
Dismiss all nonsense from excuse making lips.

Be mentally and physically disciplined!
About something,
Done...
You do.
And on a regular basis too!
Even if talking to yourself is enjoyed...
Be ambitious about it!
And look for ways to increase and broaden the vocabulary.
Hey...
Get a dictionary.

Don't be the one to settle for idle gossip.
If the stuff you hear is not innovative...?
Leave it!
Do not try to attempt to listen to anything,
Dusting with neglect and about to rust.
You want your ears to hear fresh and exciting stuff!

Maintaining long term survival,
With an outlook that is kept motivated...is the key.
And should be placed on one's agenda,
As their priority indefinitely!

Eat only those things,
As if someone made you an ambassador...
To fruits and vegetables.
And...
Do the best you can to slip away from meats!

And this...
Is going to be extremely difficult.
Since something seen will tempt and look delicious.
And with the right preparation,
Will addict and keep you hooked.
Until you decide to pull away to locate a safe distance.
I know this to be true.
I've been married twice.
And 'still' I can't believe I did that to myself.

Napoleonic Fable

A fable that’s agreed upon
according to Napoleon
is what we should call history,
but ascribe its mystery
to recollections that are wrong
of brief events stretched into long,
in contrast to the brief report
that should, like our own lives, be short.

About this poem’s serious moral
A good historian would not quarrel:
Your history, if you are able
to write it up, is just a fable.

Napoleon once asked rhetorically: “What is history but a fable that is agreed upon? ”

this Sunday

this Sunday i will be with Tony
my cousin with one arm left,
a machine ate his left arm,
his wife left him and his only son
does not recognize him anymore,

oh, it's a sad story, and it's
pity in real action, but i let him
express himself,
he is a good mountain
walker.

this Sunday, we agreed on a trek
in Tabon, where the trees are still trees.
The path is narrow, and
the grasses are taller.

we do not hunt for birds,
we simply watch them.
we do not speak that much
we agreed to simply listen

the sound of the forest wind
the shadows of the hills cast by the setting sun
the mud on our feet
the sweat on our brows

at night, when we are all alone
we begin to tell our stories again
those where wives are not interested to listen
those which do not make husbands cry

over a cup of hot coffee
i recite a sad poem that i have not the courage to write for once.

now it is not about love
it is more about death and revenge

Tony will like it.

Out Of Afghanistan And The Un

After we’ve pulled out of Afghanistan and the UN,
Declare a national holiday to celebrate what we just done,
On the second Monday of October every year from then on,
Dream on because there’s nothing our politicians agreed upon.

The world would immediately pay attention to us,
Pompous UN persons with delusions of grandeur would cause a big fuss,
Dream on because we don’t have an independent politician,
They’re all locked into party agenda and their position.

We count our dead UN soldiers on the Highway of Heroes now,
No one explains if or when Afghanistan will change or has somehow,
And still we can’t seem to see the solution to our distress,
The British, Russians and Alexander the Great were in this mess.
