A Slap On The Face of Democracy
Of course they could care less,
As they feed while soldiers bleed!
Those who choose their conflcits sit...
Sipping on beverages,
As patriotism is professed...
In the quiet comfort of their peaceful nests.
Not one of them ever offered to defend,
With civil duty.
But they will sit to wish destruction continues...
As they lay on couches,
To watch TV on their lazy rear ends.
And when our soldiers come home from war.
They are the last to be served.
Most of them are ignored.
And to keep a peace,
While those leech remained bored!
Is a slap on the face of democracy.
And the ones left victimized...
Are those wounded and abused,
By those selfish!
Who should be the ones despised!
'Why are you soooo angry? '
Not only am I Black.
But as a young patriotic man...
I served my country,
And that's a fact.
And those who sit back getting fat,
I disrespect.
While those who are sent to war...
Risk their lives,
To return to their homeland.
And receive not even a thank you.
But they themselves attacked.
And I have already...as a young man,
Experienced that!
And these are facts that must be changed.

I saw soldiers
I saw soldiers
with eyes opened wide
who in fear, dutiful served their country.
They were only boys and moreover
unravelled from all humanity
and mechanical like an oiled machine.
Aged early, cold in heart and soul and besides
driven past madness and stripped from reason
to in fear, dutiful serve their country.
Without any glory or esteem
they assaulted the enemy challenging death
and I saw young brave soldiers.
Boys abandoning their own free will
and caught in a almost endless cycle
to in fear, dutiful serve their country
Boys who did not concede to the reasons for the war,
later sold out by politicians,
I saw as soldiers
who in fear, dutiful served their country.

Let's Remember Those Soldiers
Let's remember those soldiers
No matter alive or dead
Hold them dear to our hearts
And keep their memories in our heads
Let's remember those soldiers
As they fight on foreign lands
And pray they make it back home
Because it is all up to Gods hands
Let's remember those soldiers
And the hell they are going through
Praise them when they get home
For all they've done for me and you
Let's remember those soldiers
And their families they left behind
Should you know some of these families
Try and treat them a little more kind
Let's remember those soldiers
They are fighting for our rights
Before you go to sleep tonight
Say a prayer for them tonight
Let's remember those soldiers
And let them know that we care
But for the grace of God
We might be the ones over there
Let's remember those soldiers
And let's wish them all the best
May they all make it back home
So we all can get some rest
Let's remember those soldiers
Even ones from wars of the past
Though some are dead and gone
Let's make sure their memories last
Let's remember those soldiers
And docs and nurses in those camps
Taking care of the wounded
Let's put their faces on postage stamps
Let's remember those soldiers
And not just count them as a loss
For they are truely the ones
That pay the ultimate cost

Fed to Forget
No matter if you are poor or rich,
You will be scrutinized as tax fit.
And if you choose to see an analyst,
Be sure the analyst lives in your district.
And ask to help make sense of this...
Why are soldiers and teachers,
Never the ones to profit or considered to benefit?
When they are the ones to protect with interests...
The minds and bodies of others!
And the first to receive,
An observed disrespect!
And they are the ones that should receive the highest pay,
Anyone deservingly should get.
'Priorities have long left those,
With neglected mindsets!
Fed to forget...
Who makes it possible,
To feed and digest their spoiledness.
As they kick to the curb,
Those who keep protected their urges.'
There is no wonder why veterans and teachers spew,
Such pent up bitterness.
Leaving soldiers homeless and public schools a mess.

I Am Not Proud Of My Country
I love my Homeland Country and of it's scenic sights I sing
But I don't say I am proud to be Irish as proud has a patriotic ring
And those who feel proud of their Country often go that step too far
As pride leads to patriotism and patriotism leads to war.
I have never waved my Country's flag at parade or football game
And I am not Proud of my country though I love it just the same
For pride and love are different as different as can be
And pride that leads to patriotism has never appealed to me.
Some people on flag post in their front yard fly their Country's flag
And I am proud of my Country you hear them proudly brag
But others worthiness and cultures they never could embrace
And without saying so they are telling you that ours is a superior race.
I am proud of my Country you will never hear me say
Though many feel that pride and patriotism are good and quite okay
But how many young men have died in wars due to patriotic pride
Love brings people together whilst pride and patriotism divide.
I have never been a soldier or had honours to my name
And I am not Proud of my Country though I love it just the same
And those who feel proud of their Country can take that step too far
For pride leads to patriotism and patriotism can lead to war.

The Many Live Through The Sacrifices Of The Few
The many live through the sacrifices of the few-
The old continue because the young have died for them-
The soldiers of who gave their lives in Israel's wars,
The soldiers of Freedom who risk their lives still,
Enable their people to live.

A Scottish Soldier
There was a young Scottish soldier
of the Highlanders Brigade
his Black Watch Regiment
marched through the night’s thunderstorm
to battle the Boers at Magersfontein
They were waiting in the trenches
when the Black Watch deploy into
open order march for the dawn assault
At four hundred yards the Boers open fire
and caught the column changing formation
killing Scottish soldiers left right and center
The young Scottish soldier badly wounded
scared to lift his body and head
lying on the veld tormented
by ants thirst and scorching sun
blisters on his legs from kilt
to stockings...
In mid-afternoon the Highlanders broke
and retreat under heavy fire
The young soldier then died
under the African sun...
one of 279 killed and wounded
A black day for the British Empire
and the young Scottish soldier...
from the Black Watch Regiment!

I Want to be a Soldier
I will be a soldier
Only when soldiers realize
They are not animals or
cattles
Only if soldiers can ask
'Why should I shoot that
innocent man? '
I would be a soldier
If soldiers can ask the
commander
'Why should we shoot at
the children? '
I would be a soldier
If soldiers know that
The red blood that runs
through their veins
Runs in the rest peopl's too.
I would be a soldier if
Soldiers know they aren't
what they ask them to be
When they know that
The Emperor will never ask
them to kill his children
I would be a soldier
When soldiers realize war
is inhuman
When soldiers know war
always starts war
When they know that
World peace can not be
reached through war
When United Nations can
ask themselves
Is war the only way to end
corruption in the globe?
When soldiers know the
distance between peace and
war.
When soldiers realize how
intoxicative the gun is.
When soldiers realize
that gun does not control
them, but they control it.
I would be a soldier only if
soldiers know
why Martin Luther King jnr.
was killed.
If they know Adolf Hitler
also tried to make peace
through war.
I would be a soldier
If they can tell me why they
are only trained to kill.
I would be a soldier if
soldier can say
NO TO BRUTE LEADERS.
I would be a soldier if
soldiers know
the difference between
death and birth.
I would be a soldier if they
can tell
Why they are weapons of
destruction?
If they can explain why they
killed at Vietnam?
Why they killed at Somalia?
Why Ghadafi was killed
without trial?
Why Abraham Lincoln was
shot
Why Ghandi was killed,
Why they dont care if they
die in war in the name of
peace.
I would be a soldier If soldiers know they have rights If soldiers know they need Freedom. I would be a soldier If the goverments around the world realize How wonderful the world would be If the money invests in atomic weapons can be spent To feed billions of children on the streets of India, Nigeria, Brazil, South Africa The United States and all the streets of the World. I would be a soldier when soldiers can fight for liberty And not for slavery When soldiers know that nobody should think for them When soldiers know they are humans not cattles, When they realize that nobody should tell them what to think and what to feel. If soldiers can be humans, I would be a soldier.

Land Mine Blast
Land mine blast has caused some deaths
Scores of soldiers on duty had their last breath
Country is silent and so is the leadership
Only family of the bereaved persons may weep
Few bucks may be paid to families as token
Funeral with full state of honor but faith is shaken
This may go on and we may watch silently
Reiterate our resolve for peace and skip later on merrily
No troops are ordered to mob up or offered strong resistance
Under the pretext of protecting innocents for instance
Young soldiers meet with day light crimes
Trust in motherland has changed in recent times
We kill our custodians and defender of the holy land
How come we kill our brethrens who are there to defend!
They see no day or night but spend in thick jungles
Danger all around still face stiff resistance and troubles
We have become selfish and pay no respect
Time has come to peep inside and introspect
Who are we fighting for and at what cost?
The jungles are deserted and seem the habitat for ghosts
External borders are assured to be safe
God only knows how they will defend and save
Weapons are purchased but of inferior nature
Money are spent but cornered by others for sure
We all had dreamed of golden land with all happiness
Freedom, liberty and movement with peace and at ease
Police descend on innocent citizens and show the brutality
People are coming out in open to express the hostility
Poor candidate after election becomes millionaire in few years
Some of the stories are circulated but our ears refuse to hear
Modern temple of highest land has been turned into safe mafias den
Murderers, hoarders and historysheeters are protected even
House of Representatives for people can't grant them immunity
They are social servant and not different from other communities
There [place is among people and can't claim extra benefits
Let them be expelled if they fail to serve the land and prove misfit

A Soldiers love
They retreat from the past
For they know they shall never forget, it will never pass
As those they love shelter behind whats to come
For from the bottle of pain they take some
They wait for the day to come the day to leave
Yet until then the fire, and horror shall make them greive
Their friends longing to hear ther voices, feel their touch
To think they will never see their faces again, they shall not think of such
The sounds fill their ears as they wait for the firing to subside
As they know they stand with the others side by side
They long to be home, to be in peace, to be in their place
And they know time is all they face
It shall come, the day it ends
The day the memories end, the memories that shall not mend
They know they will be back to the place they love
The day America sees the dove
As they wait they think of those back here
And know it is for the lives back home they fear
They know that their here, they just don't know why
As they sit behind the sheild of life they look to the sky
As they sit they do not know that back home we look to the same sky
As they sit and wait they wish it were all a lie
As they sit and yern for hope they look above
For they know in their heart this is a soldiers love
(may all the soldiers get back safely to their homes, and family. And hopefully it shall be soon that america sees the dove. god bless all soldiers and everyone)

Forever Young
(r. stewart/j.cregan/k.savigar)
May the good lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when youre far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As youd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart youll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young
Forever young
And when you finally fly away
Ill be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose
Im right behind you, win or lose
Forever young, forever young
Forever young ,forever young
Forever young, forever young
For, forever young, forever young

Wilting And Weak
Do not step on soldiers who mightily maraud the weak,
Who are the soldiers? What is their command?
These soldiers marry into fellowship and youth,
Knights roam the country in search of young help.
These are the band of soldiers, legions of rope
And murdered by the cruel and wicked, the iron men.
Then do not step onto the rainbow to awaken us,
For the light is serene, and severe in strength.
Steps along the way guide the old and young alike,
A path has generated due to aging of the flowers
That disburden the height of society.
Follow the marching group and flowers wilt
In a way you agree, the wilting goes on and on.

Open the fire
“Fire” the word came out as the order from commander
It was move to stall the advancement and halt the invaders
They were large in numbers and move was little expected
He soldiers moved in readiness as were attacked
They were all ordered to move within short notice
It was breach of trust and violation of peace
Truce was not respected for greed of more land
The fresh soldiers were inducted to defend motherland
What can be more holy task than to defend the nation?
Why no one cares for life when its integrity is in question?
Such is spirit of young soldiers in army to protect boundary line
To shed the life in the service of motherland is considered as divine
I remember having answered one question put to me
I shall offer complete life if at all need arises or be
“What will be your priority in defending the country as free”?
I shall volunteer for army service and not attempt to flee
This kind of feeling was apparent in every able body person
We can’t think of in any terms when there is certainly no reason
Each individual is duty bound to offer voluntary service
As country’s independence can’t be equated with any price
Wars are not only costly but invites lots of destruction
Men and materials are lost to thwart such insurrections
No one benefits out of such mad adventure
Country is loosing in all terms as threatened with future
Skirmishes on the boundary is regular and routine feature
Enemy troops may intrude in territory fir adventure
Sometimes it may be repulsed and sometimes may succeed
But overall precaution may be taken to keep the boundaries free
As we heard the shout from the commander
The position was immediately taken to make them surrender
We had well trenched position and were not aught off the guard
They were halted with heavy casualties and stopped form moving forward
The gamble did not pay off and met with failure
We had worked hard in peace time and wonderfully assured
Not a bird was allowed to enter our land or air space
We were all well prepared to halt any chase
We were given praise by our immediate and superior officers
As we were sole custodian of country’s holy borders
Anything wrong on our part was to be condemned and taken as national shame
Slight deviation from the duty was certain to invite the blame

The Patriot Returns
Battered and broken I return to you
My time spent in battle is finally through
My country served proudly, I stood the test
I fought side by side with our nations best
I am A soldier, A patriot, true to the cause
My American heart beats without pause
Any time any place any where
This soldier will stand tall and be there
I love my country and will protect her at all cost
I fight for the old, the young, the weak and the lost
I fight for an ideal that is greater than I
I don’t complain, or whine or ask why
But for the time being I am home with you
My duty served my task is thru
But I’ll be watching, over there and over here
And I’ll be putting a hand to my ear
For if ever this soldier is again called to fight
I’ll lace up my boots and do what’s right
Look out world the Devil Dogs are on hand
Ready to fight in the air, on the sea or on land

The Soldiers Return
(bell/clarke)
Slow the years go by
They stole your man off to war
Will you see the child
As you sing battle songs
And it pains me
To think of the soldiers plight
I will pray
For your heart to guide you home
And she cries for the soldiers return
Despair of feeling alone for so long
By the light of the candle that burns
For his life
For the day of the soldiers return
Hear the cannon fire
Lost voices echo in the night
See the spoils of war
Young men are falling, ooh
Hear the drummer marching oer the hill
Love returning and the graves of the battle lie still
And she cries...(chorus)
Hear the drummer marching oer the hill
Love returning and the graves of the battle lie still
And she cries...(chorus)
Young men are falling, young men are falling...

He Is His Father's Son
His father a decorated soldier a noble hearted one
And he the ballad singer sings of battles fought and won
A true chip of the the old block when all is said and done
He has his father's D N A and he is his father's son.
'Tis not to listen to war ballads that I have come in here
I came in for to quench my thirst with a cool frothy beer
He ends another war song to another loud encore
Yet why do they applaud him and beg him to sing more?
His songs fire the patriotism in them by keeping old wars alive
And ballads of old soldiers insure that wars survive
The songs he sing are very old and have been often sung
Of brave men who risked their lives in war and of brave men who died young.
He sings of young men who went to war that was the choice they made
These old men now who on war memorial day march in the big parade
With their bravery medals on display they won't leave old wars die
The war that was to end all wars another old war lie.
The son of a war hero of war he choose to sing
Though too much of patriotism is not a healthy thing
A true chip of the old block when all is said and done
He has his father's D N A and he is his father's son.

Our Soldiers
A loaf of bread inside his hat
The young soldier was found there
At the middle of the road
His pure body was laying down there alone
Ah adorable ones broken are our hearts
How an ugly an admiring fact
The difference between the both
The goodness and the Badness
The destruction and sacrifice
How can some destroy and steal lives
The existence of the both
Simply two extreme points
The darkness of the haters souls
And the lightened pure spirited souls
How if we look to the world through soldiers pure souls
How peaceful would be the world for whole
On behalf of protecting other's lives they sacrifice their lives
For their country's sake and for their prides
Our martyrs the heroes who deserve the heavens above
Those who sacrifice their precious lives on behalf of others pride
Will forever live in our hearts adorable precious ones

Another Young Soldier
Another young soldier has died far away
An army representative will call on his mother today
For to tell her your son on the course of his duty has died
He served and died for his Country with his mates at his side.
Another war mother will grieve for her son
It will not matter to her if the battle was won
And it will not matter to her if her boy died brave
She will weep every time she will visit his grave.
Another young soldier to join the war dead
A bullet from a sniper hit him in the head
On his next birthday in June he would be twenty three
His loss a heavy cross to bear for his parents and members of his family.
Another young soldier may he rest in peace
At least from further suffering he has found release
Just one more to die in another man's war
On a bombed out back street in a city afar.

True Heroes
There at my feet my comrade lies
as though he were but fast asleep.
Death came and took him by surprise.
All soldiers know that life is cheap.
As does each politician.
Whose lies persuade young men to go
and sign on as a fighting man.
Because they are too young to know.
Their country’s leaders are not wise.
Although they all profess to be
They all refuse to recognise
in war there is no victory.
Except the claims which death will make.
That he has added to his score
the lives he’s taken and will take.
In this and any future war.
It has been so through history.
Old men send young men to die
and praise them for their bravery
Although they lie and know they lie.
Dead heroes are of little use.
Of course we praise their memory.
It takes a brave man to refuse
to go and face the enemy.
Though some accept they will not kill
but tend wounded where they can
They are prepared to use their skill
to help not harm their fellow man.

It Is A Leech
A leech feeding,
Could care less off of what it feeds.
It is a leech.
Feeding to satisfy its own need.
To do what it pleases...
Eat to feed itself to then move on.
And anyone observing a leech in action,
Is not going to convince that leech to share.
The awareness of the leech doing that is not there.
A leech feeding,
Could care less off of what it feeds.
It is a leech.
Feeding to satisfy its own need.
To do what it pleases...
Eat to feed itself to then move on.
It is a leech!
Born and taught to exist for what it is!
It is not a care provider.
Or a nourishing vegetable,
Loaded with beneficial vitamins...
Benefiting the mind and physical wellbeing of mankind.
No,
It is not!
It is a leech.
That's it.
Defined by its own circumstances.
And programmed to identify,
What it has to do to survive.
And once it knows what it is,
It is not going to be anything else.
No matter how lengthy the therapy sessions.
Or the sacrifices others make...
When the activities of the leech begins to become outsourced.
A leech is a leech!
Nothing more.
