A Quest to Undo Obstacles

If those faced with daily challenges,
Had their lives made easier...
Their acquired gifts and talents,
Would become less impressive.
And a quest to undo obstacles,
Would be left as they rested.
And a faith that had been tested,
To waste and upset...
The best of what The Creator expects,
Would not please.
Since The Almighty despises mediocrity!

My Creator Is My Manager

I admit...
There are gifts and talents,
I was born with.
I never had desires to 'be'.
I just 'was'.
And took what I had for granted.
At one time I really did this.

I've been asked where I've studied.
And who has mentored me.
My response has always been The Creator.
To which then I get looks of disbelief.

And as I age and 'try' to mellow,
Others suggest I could be rich...
If I did 'this' and 'that' with my talents and gifts.
But things and bling and money it seems...
Has never attracted my consciousness.

If this happens to come to me as my Creator's wish,
Then by all means...
Those things will come to pay me a visit.
But thankful I am and tremendously blessed.
My Creator is my manager.
And I know what for me is best.

Perhaps my Creator,
Believes what I've been given is priceless.
And I have been nourishing myself,
With the feeding on delusions.
Whatever my Creator proposes,
Is the path I follow not to oppose.

With A Kicking To The Curb

Although my journey...
Has seemed sometimes long,
With a prolonging of obstacles to face...
I have managed to slowly erase them with faith.
As well as a chasing away of 'expected' obstacles...
Presented to prevent what I must do each day.
I had to grow stronger and determined,
To prove for no one else but myself...
The steps that I take on the path I am on...
I am on it because I belong,
In the doing with a purpose.
And serving this purpose as it deserves.

And on a daily basis I will and can say,
I recognize my blessings.
And on a daily basis I will and can say,
I have recognized those foes...
Hoping to block my way,
From the crevices of shadows fading.
And...
On a daily basis I will and can say,
The Creator is responsible...
For removing opposition in my way that sit.
Trying to upset me with conflicts to afflict.
The Creator is responsible...
For not allowing this to persist.

And with a knowing of that,
It is with a kicking to the curb I do...
All that which attempts to delay my mission.
It is with a kicking to the curb I do...
To eliminate from me aches of all kinds,
From my mind to exist...
With an assistance only God can give.

It is with my Father's wishes,
The Creator of ALL there is 'that' is...
That has done this to mend AND fix!
And He, My Father...
Will not continue to permit,
The foolishness of nonsense...
To attack me with that kind of grip.
God has shown me I need not put up with it.
And...
With a clearing of the way for only HIS will to be done!
As it shall be...nonsense gets out of the mix.
Since The Creator alone,
Rules the Kingdom!

Faith Proves

Faith proves complex when tested
Sweet when manifested
Faith fills needs to break through
Tested it seemly sinks to depths blue
Faith is a glowing light in a dark tunnel
Faith tested is a dead ending channel
Faith is a destined escape
Faith tested loses all form and shape

Faith is the cry to all battles
Yet tested falls about in loose shambles
Faith is wholesome and complete
Yet tested it feels so much like defeat
Faith moves mountains
Faith tested seems like bondage constrains
Faith is a well planted seed
Yet tested the feeling is hopeless indeed

Golden Hills of Red

Deeply rooted in every valley
The faith of all men swelter
With the heat of red hills—
Oh the red hills,
Which what whose
Faith
Dripping with the
Words
Of
Interposition and
Nullification,
The
Glory of the Lord
Is made plain.
God Almighty is exclaimed—
God Almighty, God Almighty, we are
Fr—
Red Hills,
Sweltering with the heat,
obstacles that are made clear,
In times of heat and
Injustice—
Sweltering with the heat of—
What will eventually be transformed
Into an oasis of—
Red hills.

Talents Die Easily In Africa!

Oh talents, oh talents!
Talents do die easily in Africa;
But, talents are special gifts which,
Money cannot buy.
It is a special gift,
It is in you,
You don't even need a Higher Degree for them;
Talents are everywhere on this earth.

The talents of Africa do die very often,
Who is even ready to listen to them?
The true talents of the Africans go to the drain.
Like a rain on a train,
Like an early wake up call without a view;
Life is really so strange over here in Africa.

I have a dream!
But, who will listen?
My brain is with various talents but,
Who will help me with my dreams?
Talents, talents, talents! !
Africa turns to regress in this field while,
Others do progress!

Our talents can be useful,
It's time we give a helping hand;
Oh talents, oh talents!
It's time we listen to those who have them;
Cos', we are the world.

There Is No Permanence Given

There is no permanence given to this existence.
Or challenges beset by obstacles on anyone's path,
No matter how difficult the appearance of the task...
One perceives as being unbearable,
That can not with a faith in place remove.
But some may find it easier to whine,
Than to make up their minds to use their faith.

Although some may take the presence,
Of opportunities away.
As if they have been granted divine power,
To affect someone's life they believe can be swayed.
But there is no permanence given to this existence.
Nor does one get a chance to be chosen,
To play God on any given day they select to perform miracles.

I Am Tested...Yes!

For whatever the reasons,
Those feelings felt inside me...
Are there and deeply understood.
I bring them to the surface to expose.
As if a necessity.
As if this is a conscious mission,
I have chosen to do better than just good.

For whatever the reasons,
My expressions connect...
I am commanded by an ability,
To ensure what is said is done at my best.
I may upset some and others I may inspire.
A writer of honesty I am.
I don't have developed skills to be a liar.

Inquisitive with a curiosity,
Sometimes my visions take me to the edge.
I only pledge to be who it is I am.
I don't seek to be impressive...
Yet,
I am told I impress with the words I express.
And on a daily basis I am tested...yes!

Erased As Witnessed

A quest to rise above opposition...
Is done and stuns.
A soaring began,
Begun when no one expected.
A mind exploring,
Does not reveal its contents...
When in the process of nourishing,
Its intentions.

There is no need to mention it.
Challenges given are internally sent.
Definitions aren't exclaimed.
When one remains the captive.

Each step forward,
Is an indication...
Something has been sacrificed.
Something has assisted this flight!
There is no questioning that a faith and insight...
Reaches heights.
And breaks through broken doors.
Purposedly closed to prevent!

But time with a mind focused,
Endures.
Even with wings clipped...
There is no stopping a determination
to proceed.
And succeed...
One who dreams and believes,
Does!

With or without,
Carefully placed obstacles faced!
To be erased as witnessed.

Nothing From The Almighty Do I Hide

The journey taken I've made,
Is not paved with purity.
Nor are my experiences free...
From temptating transgressions.

My choice to live the life I've been given,
Is just that!
My choice.
And adventure I will...
No matter who voices 'what' opinion!

I alone face obstacles I am presented.
And when those consequences come...
I am not one to run away,
In denial or allow myself to be subjected...
To a trial of those self righteous in the hiding,
Of their deceits.
To have others believe they live lives,
Without mistakes made!

I have made many.
I am not complete.
I am a work in progress.
And My Creator knows this.
And 'nothing' from The Almighty do I hide!
Nor do I wish to make the attempt to do so.
I am too much in love with this spirit...
To try to convince my life lived is perfect!
It aint.

The eventual waste

The food consumed goes waste.
The things acquired go waste.
The values given fall in vain.
The hopes built up fall in vain.
Trust shatters and faith fails.
So do all pursuits made.
The eventual waste is your life.

Epigram 101

To the Almighty Creator we believe with faith
To Him we pray to merit us the better fate
But if a strong, healthy person such so lazy
Relies only from somebody to feed him if hungry
To starvation if that person dies, that's total defeat
And that's not Almighty Creator's given fate

Sonnet: Why Waste …?

Why waste your voice, extolling men on earth,
Who don’t deserve the smallest praise, you give?
Why waste your life in earthly aims since birth,
When there are better things for which to live?

Why waste your talents, earning name and fame,
When nothing we can take back when we die?
Why waste your precious days in acts of shame,
When we can thank the Lord and God, Most High?

Why waste your labor, building things that break,
When you can share the love of God with all?
Why waste your life in taking risks to make
One skyscraper, that must anytime fall?

Why waste God-given time in sin and vice,
When God expects us to remain soul-wise?

All is Possible

Each day is a miracle; each moment a gift.
Each new experience gives passions a lift.
The key to be happy is one word alone:

Faith in yourself. Have no doubt what you own.
You are a miracle with talents unique.
Invest in your moments that pass like a streak!

No limits exist except ones you impose.
Think ahead of the world. Be one of those
Whose vision captures what the future will hold,

With faith that its path is about to unfold.
Miracles beckon as challenges arrive.
With you all can happen. Make those talents thrive!

Easy To Do And Even Easier To Leave

I 'had' been accustomed to being treated,
As if I were a fool.
That's why today it is easy for me to manuever,
Around and through...
Those obstacles set,
On my path to upset my direction.

Derogatory comments made,
By those with tongues out to degrade integrities...
Is nothing new in my environment.
I was raised to witness it...
In my early impressionable development days.
And learned very quickly,
How to make steps and not expect praise.

I've seen those with the best of intentions,
Destroyed by innuendo.
Even though they were...
Champions of good deeds.
And having seen this as examples,
Of what people can do to themselves...
I've found my own contributions,
Easy to do and even easier to leave.
Regardless of what I did to annoy or please.

I 'had' been accustomed to being treated,
As if I were a fool.
That's why today it is easy for me to manuever,
Around and through...
Those obstacles set,
On my path to upset my direction.
Knowing God makes the final,
Inspection of my attempts.

'Why does that dude love to be dragged through the mud? '

Faith and Hope

Some brick walls are easier to penetrate.
And that depends on when they were cemented.
The thickness.
And the chipping done,
Has to be taken into consideration.
Knowing that one's patience,
Still has to be applied.
And there is no going around it.
No matter how hard one tries.

One can choose to flee.
Or proceed to chip away quick.
Or begin this process slowly.
Just do what needs to be done.
There are obstacles to rid.
Faced by everyone.
Those who cope...
Realize the value place in faith and hope.

Where I'm In FAITH!

Within a place that creates completeness in oneself,
a place that needs no obstacles,
a place that needs positive reaction,
negative resolution, and stressful elimination:
powers within oneself to have faith
in the faith G-d has for me.
Seeking a miracle is a waste of my time
for the miracles that come to my life
are truly the miracles of creation,
creation of a strong black woman
who can make all things happen,
who can provide for her family,
who can live without the idea of dying
due to destruction seen before her.
I am a miracle in itself as are you,
our faith in ourselves will benefit us
more than the faith we have in what can be done by prayer;
having faith in what we can do to make our prayers reality,
many of our questions have answers,
having faith, and the courage to know the answers are a given,
we are from the breath of the almighty,
we are the world, we are what he has faith in.
Looking for an easy fix is the thought of an addict,
for I am not an addict for life, I am a solution for living.
Look within my eyes and see the miracle of creation,
copyrighted by God himself,
the creation of perfection in his eyes;
Life was given to us as a gift, as a lesson,
a learning experience
with that gift
we were given the ability to survive,
some survive some just live;
I am a survivor, a creation that makes me full,
full of complete joy for I am a gift to this world,
to myself, to nature, as the world,
and nature is a gift to me;
I am a child of God
with that I know my prayers have answers,
before I ask he gives,
he gives me the ability to be the strength
that you seek,
the power that you need,
the fullness of the empty glass,
the waters that flow, the air that blows,
the rain that pours, the heat that warms
I am a miracle, as are you,
see within your reflection
as your creator seen when he gave you life,
be strong, don’t blame, don’t worry,
do all that you can to make your life the best you can
for the faith that he has in you
can never be measured by numbers
the faith he has is you is much greater
than the faith you have in him,
for he is the almighty,
you are simply the creation!

Those Who Pray And Fake Faith

Faith is what it takes,
To conquer over inner fears.
Those who pray and fake faith...
Fool themselves.
Not The Creator.

To walk in faith to let go and let God,
Handle the business of guiding and correcting...
Leads one to witness the power of The Almighty.
Those hiding behind their shallow wants and wishes,
Repeatedly face opposition with a taste of chaos.

Faith is what it takes,
To conquer over inner fears.
Those who pray and fake faith...
Fool themselves.
Not The Creator.

One prayer I have -- all prayers in one,

One prayer I have - all prayers in one, -
When I am wholly thine;
Thy will, my God, thy will be done,
And let that will be mine.

All-wise, almighty, and all-good!
In Thee I firmly trust;
Thy ways, unknown or understood,
Are merciful and just.

May I remember, that to Thee
Whate'er I have I owe;
And back, in gratitude from me,
May all thy bounties flow.

Thy gifts are only then enjoyed
When used as talents lent;
Those talents only well employed
When in thy service spent.

A Man's Life

The things that take place in a man's life sometimes affect his children,
That is why it is better to do the right thing always in life;
Because the ball thrown against the wall sometimes bounces back to us!

Being tried and tested,
And being abused in the forest of the tigers! !
But the Creator is always there for us all on this earth that we live in.

A man's life,
Instead of bronze i will bring you gold for your love;
But in all things, let us first give thanks to the Creator Almighty.
