Winter Song
Rain and wind, and wind and rain.
Will the Summer come again?
Rain on houses, on the street,
Wetting all the people's feet,
Though they run with might and main.
Rain and wind, and wind and rain.
Snow and sleet, and sleet and snow.
Will the Winter never go?
What do beggar children do
With no fire to cuddle to,
P'raps with nowhere warm to go?
Snow and sleet, and sleet and snow.
Hail and ice, and ice and hail,
Water frozen in the pail.
See the robins, brown and red,
They are waiting to be fed.
Poor dears, battling in the gale!
Hail and ice, and ice and hail.

Please, Pray for Ukraine
His dreams for power are colored dark red,
He wants to bound all with an iron chain,
The hopes, the promises, beliefs, all dead,
Please, pray for world peace, please, pray for Ukraine.
Ugly death walks on the streets of Kyiv,
Now all around is only fear and pain,
It happens but is too hard to believe,
Please, pray for world peace, please, pray for Ukraine.
Nobody knows what might tomorrow bring,
How many tears we will hide in the rain,
If snowdrops will rise again in the Spring,
Please, pray for world peace, please, pray for Ukraine.
The love and grace of God with us remain,
Please, pray for world peace, please, pray for Ukraine.

Let It Snow
Let it snow, let it snow
Hey, its another christmas holiday
Its a joyous thing let the angels sing
Cause were together
We got a thing cant let it slip away
No, outside its raining sleet
When our bodies meet
I dont care about the weather
Chorus:
Let it snow, let it snow
Outside its cold but the fires blazin
So baby let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Ohhhh, come over here and help me trim the tree
I wanna wrap you up baby
Then youll see youre the only present I need
Theres so much more
Waiting for you in store
From this precious day
I can gladly say
Theres no place Id rather be
I know you are my everything, come a little closer
God must have sent you down from heaven
Chorus
Let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow (repeat 4x)
I dont care what the weather may be
As long as youre here with me.

If Everyday Could Be Christmas
Christmas lights up the city
Roof tops covered in snow
Lovers sharing a sleigh ride cuddled close
And their eyes seem to glow
Window shopping on main street
Bundled up head to toe
Children are skating around a Christmas tree
I see smiles young and old
If everyday could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
Chruch bells ring in the distance
Peace on earth fills the air
Sidewalk Santas handing out candy canes
I feel love everywhere
If everyday could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
If everyday could be Christmas
Oh it's that time
We open and give from our hearts
Let love shine brighter than any star
Oh if everyday could be Christmas
What a wonderful world it would be
We could carry this feeling within us
All through the year
Oh if everyday could be Christmas
If everyday could be Christmas
Yeah if everyday could be Christmas
If everyday could be Christmas

All alone on Christmas
The cold wind is blowing,
An the streets are getting dark,
I’m looking for you everywhere,
An I don’t know were to start.
The Christmas songs are playing in the street,
People window shopping down in the town,
I walk and see the snow beneath my feet,
It must be Christmas time again right here,
Every year I get a little lonely around this time,
Do people still find love at Christmas?
Tell me, were do lonely hearts go?
Well, no-one ought to be all alone on Christmas
My childhood dreams are a thing in the past,
Nothing to find or nothing to hope for,
Everything will not last,
Do Christmas dreams ever come true?
I’m all grown up but I’m the same you’ll see,
I’m looking for because I still believe,
I know I have been good this year,
Can’t you stay with me right here?
This Christmas will always be the same,
For everyone to still believe,
That were do lonely hearts go,
Because no-one ought to be all alone on Christmas,
All alone on Christmas.

Scotland's Story
Michael McGrory from west Donegal
You came to Glasgow with nothing at all
You fought the landlord then the Afrika Korps
When you came to Glasgow with nothing at all
Abraham Caplan from Vilnius you came
You were heading for New York, but Leith's where you've stayed
You built a great business which benefits all
Since you came to this land with nothing at all
In Scotland's story I read that they came
The Gael and the Pict, the Angle and Dane
But so did the Irishman, Jew and Ukraine
They're all Scotland's story and they're all worth the same
Joseph D'Angelo dreams of the days
When Italian kids in the Grassmarket played
We burned out his shop when the boys went to war
But auld Joe's a big man and he forgave all
In Scotland's story I'm told that they came
The Gael and the Pict, the Angle and Dane
But where's all the Chinese and Indian names?
They're in my land's story and they're all worth the same
Christina McKay, I learned of your name
How you travelled south from Delny one day
You raised a whole family in one room they say
And the X on the line stands in place of your name
So in the old story I'll bet that I came
From Gael and Pict and Angle and Dane
And a poor migrant girl who could not write her name
It's a common old story, but it's mine just the same
All through the story the immigrants came
The Gael and the Pict, the Angle and Dane
From Pakistan, England and from the Ukraine
We're all Scotland's story and we're all worth the same
Your Scotland's story is worth just the same

Celtic Ray
When lewellyn comes around
And he goes through market town
Youll be on the celtic ray
Are you ready?
When mcmannus comes around
On his early morning rounds
Crying hey...
Youll be on the celtic ray
Ireland, scotland, england and wales
I can hear the mothers voices calling
Children, children, children
When the coal brick man comes round
On a cold november day
Youll be on the celtic ray
Are you ready? are you ready?
Ireland, scotland, england and wales
I can hear the mothers voices calling
Children, children, children
Listen to me! I want to go home.
Listen to me! I want to go home.
Ive been away from the ray too long
Ive been away from the ray too long
All over ireland, scotland, england and wales
I can hear the mothers voices calling
Children, children, come home children
Children, come home on the celtic ray
In the early morning well go walking
Where the light comes shining through
On the celtic ray
Come home children
Come home on the celtic ray

Peace for Christmas
All I want for Christmas is Peace
All I want is war to cease
In the homes and on the street
Peace on earth and joy to greet
Underneath my Christmas tree
Christmas morn I hope to see
Headlines blaring PEACE ON EARTH!
For men of naught and men of worth
Wrap peace up in shiny foil
Seal it tight so it won't spoil
Put it on a freezer shelf
Keep it fresh, our future wealth
Take it out at dinner time
Share a slice of peace of mind
Pass it out to all our Brothers
Sisters, Children and our Mothers
Use the peace meal, use it wisely
Digest it well and let our eyes see
Peace on earth, good will to men
Need not wait until the end
In our homes on Christmas Day
Preach of Peace as only way
To be happy, to be sure
To meet Peace at Heaven's door

Band Aid 2---do They Know Its Christmas?
Written: midge ure, bob geldof
1:
Its christmas time
Theres no need to be afraid
At christmas time
We let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty
We can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world
At christmas time
2:
But say a prayer
Pray for the other ones
At christmas time its hard
But when youre having fun
Theres a world outside your window
And its a world of dread and fear
Where the only water flowing
Is the bitter sting of tears
And the christmas bells that ring
There are the clanging chimes of doom
Well tonight thank God its them instead of you
Feed the world
Let them know its christmas time
Feed the world
Do they know its christmas time at all?
3:
And there wont be snow in africa
This christmas time
The greatest gift theyll get this year is life
Where nothing ever grows
No rain nor rivers flow
Do they know its christmas time at all?
Feed the world
Let them know its christmas time
Feed the world
Let them know its christmas time again
Bridge:
(heres to you) raise a glass for everyone
(heres to them) underneath that burning sun
Do they know its christmas time at all?
End:
Feed the world
Let them know its christmas time
End:
(repeat & fade)

Natural Evolution
Rain falls
No snow
Where is my Christmas
of years ago?
No snow to throw
No snow to eat
Only the rain
Puddles deep
Run through
Slash on feet
Why is the weather
in confusion?
Is it Global Warming
or Natural Evolution?

Christmas Everywhere
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
Christmas in lands of the fir-tree and pine,
Christmas in lands of the palm-tree and vine,
Christmas where snow peaks stand solemn and white,
Christmas where cornfields stand sunny and bright.
Christmas where children are hopeful and gay,
Christmas where old men are patient and gray,
Christmas where peace, like a dove in his flight,
Broods o're brave men in the thick of the fight;
Everywhere, everywhere, Christmas tonight!
For the Christ-child who comes is the Master of all;
No palace too great, no cottage too small.

An Ode to Christmas
When you see lovely lights
Of greens, reds, and whites
You know it is Christmas Time
When snow falls down from the skies
Soft and thick it lies
You know it is Christmas Time
When you hear Christmas jingles
And your skin begins to tingle
You know it is Christmas Time
An Ode for the scent of pine
An Ode to the dainty decorations that are so divine
An Ode to Christmas Time
When you get rosy cheeks
And children dash with squeals and shrieks
You know it is Christmas Time
When the young and old sit in front of the fire and come together
To get away from the cold weather
You know it is Christmas Time
When you warm up with your sweet heart
Unable to keep apart
You know it is Christmas Time
An Ode to Hot Chocolate with marshmallows
An Ode to the Jolly fellows
An Ode to Santa Claus
An Ode to decking the halls
An Ode to Christmas Time

Christmas At The Big-K
At Christmas she went to K Mart
Which wasn’t very smart.
She got in the way
Of a mob that day
And was floored by a shopping cart.
Shopping sucks at Christmas time
Even at the five and dime.
Try shopping on line
And you will be fine
And you won’t be the victim of a crime
Or what’s more you won’t miss your Miller time.

The 1st of May
The 1st of May,
It’s a Solidarity Day.
I will not shout “Hurray”
But would like to say
For all peoples and nations
Join together! Live in peace!
In America and Greece,
In Iraq and Iran,
In India and Pakistan,
In China and Hong Kong
And so on and so on.
The history of this day is very significant one:
The workers of Chicago
Went on demonstration
For their rights.
They didn’t want any fights.
Today in my country
The 1st of May is a holiday.
We do not shout “Hurray”
As there is nothing to demonstrate.
But we love and celebrate this day
As it personify humanity and peace,
Beauty of our nature
And life as a wonderful adventure.

Christmas?
Recently I was asked
what I would like for Christmas,
afterall, it isn’t too far away.
Well, I rattled off a nice little list
of things I wouldn’t mind having.
But now,
after thinking about it,
I mean - really thinking about it,
there is something I could come up with.
I want it to feel like Christmas.
It just doesn’t for some reason.
I hope it’s not just me.
Is anyone else looking for that Christmas feel or spirit?
I just don’t feel it.
Remember when, as a kid, you waited impatiently for weeks?
Maybe the weather has something to do with it.
How can it feel like Christmas
when it’s either rainy or near 60 out?
I want snow.
I want it now.
I want it to put me in the mood.
I can’t stand not being in the mood.
I can remember Christmases from my childhood,
nothing can compare to them.
Nowadays, Christmas is more like just another day.
Please, someone, please,
make it feel like Christmas again.
I should already be in the Christmas mood,
but it’s just not there,
and I don’t see it anywhere nearby.
Where’s my Christmas spirit?
I need it back, and fast.
Christmas day is near
and I just feel blah about it,
and that’s no way to be.
Christmas Cant Be Very Far Away
Little bits of heaven
Floating gently by the window
Soon this dirty city will be
Covered with a new snow
Lets put on our winter boots
Go outside and play
Christmas cant be very far away
Weather girl says bundle up
Its gonna be a cold one
Ill put on my wooly hat
Youll wear your dads old stetson
Pretty lights are everywhere
Shining night and day
Christmas cant be very far away
Lets take a walk downtown and
Go dream shopping in the mall
The kids can do the santa thing
Photographs and all
Well get the biggest tree this year
And trim it to the top
And spend a whole lot more
Than what weve got
But so what
Come next spring
I know we will be
Ready for the sunshine
Right now throwin snowballs
At each others such a fun time
Kids will think were crazy
For a while and thats okay
Christmas cant be very far away
Christmas cant be very far away

On This Christmas Day
I saw your picture in the paper
I didn't know your name
But the pain was there for all to see
As the snow turned to rain
I saw your picture didn't know what to do
A lonely face in the crowd
In that moment when the world stood still
And tears lay on the ground
Wherever I go, I will think of you
Whatever I do, whatever I say on this Christmas Day
A silent a prayer on the street
Is it Heaven that has the final word?
With the world at your feet
Wherever I go, I will think of you
Whatever I do, whatever I say on this Christmas Day
On this Christmas day
Wherever I go, I will think of you
Whatever I do, whatever I say on this Christmas Day
Wherever I go, I will think of you, I will be with you
On this Christmas Day
On this Christmas Day
