It's A Pity
It's a pity that
you can't take off your skin
like an old dress
can't cover the rags
with a smart dress
so that to impress
can't embroidery stitch the holes
made by moles
it's a pity that
you can't pull out your heart
to bask in the sun
can't force it cut and run
from the life of one
can't let your soul
fly in the sky like birds
to defend it from hurts
that's how you go
trying nothing to show
avoiding the turns
keeping scars and burns
anxiety and echoes of doubt
can't speak aloud
being hurt so much
by the occasional touch

My Poor Old Heart
I've been a fool for love
Ever since I was a baby
Just a rockin' in a cradle
As a rule I was the kind
That laid his feelings
Up front and on the table.
I gave up my world so many times
Just to see 'em tear it apart
Oh, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart.
I wonder just how many times
A broken heart can mend
Just when I get back on my feet
Lord, I always fall again.
Bruises, burns, lies, goodbyes
They've all left some scars
Oh, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart.
--- Instrumental ---
I oughta know by now
After all this debt
And heartache lessons
I could go without
Going through hell
Just to find a little heaven.
Seems to me every woman I meet
Has leavin' down to an art
Oh, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart.
I wonder just how many times
A broken heart can mend
Just when I get back on my feet
Lord, I always fall again.
Bruises, burns, lies, goodbyes
They've all left some scars
Oh, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart.
Bruises, burns, lies, goodbyes
They've all left some scars
Oh, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart.
Hey, Lord have a little bit of pity
On my poor old heart...

I Pity You
I pity you when you walk down the street
I pity you when you open your mouth to speak
You will tell your story, with its pity and glory
As sympathy is all that you do seek.
I pity you and your parents dear
I pity you when from you they don’t want to hear
As you put them to blame, for your sadness and pain
That’s why for you no-one will shed a tear.
I pity you when you laugh and smile
I pity you as your life is full of guile
But you are the source, for your sadness and remorse
And you wont change even when walking your last mile.
I pity you as you once had something
I pity you as now you have nothing
You threw everything away, so you could stray
Now your retribution will be coming.
I pity you as with time you will age
I pity you with your hate and your rage
You will always fight, whether you are wrong or right
You are the animal and your soul is your cage
I pity you and I do it without a clue
I pity you whenever I see or hear of you
There is no sympathy, as your not my friend or enemy
And all I can say is, that I truly pity you.

Does It Hurt
Does it hurt to know
that aren't there
to dry my tears
when my heart breaks.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to help my dress for my senior prom
or help to fix my hair.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me walk across the field
and recieve my diploma on graduation day.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me off to college
and see me fly away.
Does it hurt to know
that you will never
hear me say
I love you mom.
Does it hurt to know
that you won't be there
to see me walk down the aisle
and marry the man of my dreams.
Well it hurts me
to know that
you won't be there
for any of those things.
It hurts me to know
that you won't be there
to say i love you
and i'm proud of you.
It hurts me to know
that you won't be there
for those big moments
that will change my life.
It hurts me the most
to know that
you will never be there
and that i no longer have a mother.

Tied Up And Swallowed
Written by: r. robinson & c. robinson
I forgot i found you tied up and swallowed
A mess with the magic and the knot
You touch my teeth and say you like the way i bite ya
Sin, skin, sounds wrong but it's not
Chorus:
Everybody says that you're such a pity
Well baby, they, they out to know
Everybody says you're such a pity
Tell ya baby, they, they out to know
Touch from up above and touch between your legs
But which one, baby, burns
So you've been touched so many times so many ways
Come on baby, who gets hurt
Chorus
See ya

Sonnet: Beauty
The flesh gets beauty, when draped by its skin;
The soul loses beauty, when filled by sin;
The beauty of things is seen when revealed;
The beauty of unseen things is concealed.
Woman! Thy beauty is in concealment;
Nature, thy beauty is the Firmament;
O Man! Thy beauty is by revealing;
Heart, Thy beauty is in deep feeling.
The Grace of God is the dress of the soul!
The Stars, Sun and Moon- the dress of the ‘bowl’! ’
Just as how skin protects the body’s flesh,
Good deeds make a soul beautiful and fresh.
Doing good in life is most important;
Avoiding harm is more significant.

All's Well
The red dress hung from a hanger on the door.
A garment that she had never worn before.
Its vibrant rich colour called to her to buy,
But why?
The red dress made her feel very feminine.
Clad in silkiness she’d felt sylph-like and thin.
Would he really like it, would he like her too,
No clue!
The red dress fitted, so clever the design.
No doubt he would think this lady so divine.
So out on her date she went, one heart beating,
First meeting!
The red dress had made all her dreams come true.
Her beau was so charming the whole evening through.
Love was in the air, the dress had worked its spell,
All’s well!

Her love
Who waked up the morning shine?
Who waked up?
the love in my heart
soared the feeling of my soul
Oh; the glow of her smile
The glance of her smart
so gentle and tender her smooth
Skin, the golden shining face
of her, and the darkness hair of her
Her lips's callingness love
called life in me
Oh her dress which dressing her
is beauty her dress?
I can't define
if the beauty her or her dress
She waked up in me
the morning rays
whispering the love in me

With A Pity That You Want
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
To realize...
A pain you keep.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You weep too deep,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And your wants are weak.
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
But...
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
You're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Other people who have less,
Do their best to not in public bleed.
Oh...
But you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
Yes you're one of those,
With a pity that you want to prove it.
With a pity that you want.
With a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want.
And with a pity that you want,
To prove it.
With a pity that you want,
To show you're one of those...
With a pity that you want,
To show exposed.
With a pity that you want,
To be one of those!

Pity, pity, pity
Look at to the unwanted child
Look at to the divorced wife
Look at to the homeless man
What people do other than saying
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the tragic hero
Look at to the sympathized villain
Look at to the clueless victim
What witnesses do other than staring
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the crazy dreamer
Look at to the unlucky gambler
Look at to the stubborn fighter
What friends do other than whispering
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the withering flower
Look at to the starving animal
Look at to the extinct nature
What human do other than howling
“Pity, pity, pity”
Look at to the empty spaces
Look at to the blank faces
Look at to the lost traces
What devils do other than laughing
“Pity, pity, pity”

Heart Turns To Stone
The days and nights you sit around wondering where can
She be
Hoping that she might appear, out of nowhere
But you fail to see
All the hurt inside, the wounded pride
Ooh what she went through for you
You cheated and lied, as her love slowly died
And her heart just broke in two
When she was with you, all along
Behind you right or wrong
She tried to hold on, hold on
But you went too far, and shes gone
And now its over and her heart turns to stone
No time for pity, when her heart turns to stone
She cries a little as her heart turns to stone
Shes that kind of woman
Shell do fine on her own
What you thought was a game
A game you were winning
Wouldnt go your way
Now youve lost what you had
And your back to the beginning
Its the price you have to pay
When she was with you, all along
Behind you right or wrong
She tried to hold on, hold on
But you went too far, and shes gone
And now its over and her heart turns to stone
No time for pity, when her heart turns to stone
She cries a little as her heart turns to stone
Shes that kind of woman
Shell get by on her own
She hides the pain
But her heart turns to stone
No time for pity
When her heart turns to stone
She cries sometimes
As her heart turns to stone
Shes that kind of woman
Shell get by on her own
Yeah its over
And her heart turns to stone
Dont look for pity now
When her heart turns to stone
Listen to her cry
Listen to her cry
Shes a woman now
Ooh its a sad thing to see
To see a heart turn to stone
The heart of a woman
A heart turned to stone

That Pity B-Gone!
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
We knew that pity had to split!
B-gone.
We knew that our hearts would split, and soon...
B-gone.
If we let that pity sit,
Between us....
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit,
Both of us would have a fit.
If we let that pity sit...
Between us!
And...
You'd believe,
That I could never love you.
To leave me feeling sorry,
And blue.
But...
I would know,
How deep inside my love goes.
And protecting what I love,
Before it overflows.
Let that pity b-gone!
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And also going are those benefits.
If you carry on...
Like you can't handle it!
So...
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
And maybe not so much the benefits.
Since I would miss too much your many moods.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.
That pity b-gone.
No more from me you get pity.
That pity b-gone!
You indulged and had to rid of it.

Sad to see him go
Its sad to see him go,
Go away to nothingness,
He made me feel pity for me,
Myself pity,
Pity that I should not feel for him,
He made me so mad that I should not feel sorry for him,
He comes and goes as he pleases in my life,
He made me feel as if I did not exist to him,
He should feel sorry for me cause I went through a lot ever since he left me with this broken heart,
Sad to see him go,
Its my fault that I didn’t try hard enough to be there for him yet he was never there for me in began with,
I have the rights to be anger with him,
He made me feel like I was losing my mind,
Sad to say that I do declare I have somewhat feel pity for him,
Yet so sad to see him go.

Don’t Pity Me
I can stand on my own two feet
Spare me the reminder that I came from those lonely streets
Which made me cold as I grew old
Don’t pity me, no don’t pity me at all
I did what was necessary to survive
Build my dreams on hard concrete
Fed myself dust until I couldn’t eat
Why pity me, why pity me at all
Now that I am full, I can use the energy
To do what you could have done
Saved me instead of feeling sorry
Because you pity me, and you pity me until I was no more
So the next time you look down and see me
Remember this, it could have been you not me.

Suffocating(Recised In Line Form)
A sympathetic morbidity.
Ruthless pity.
Always in the vicinity.
The crows circle my head, letting me know if I try to help I might die.
Some say its pure suicide.
It's a hard knock life in which you must keep the sharks at bay.
Their just waiting for you to fall in.
Can you keep your balance walking down thinly braided rope?
How long can you hold your breath before you start to choke?
Cant' you see I can't breath?
I'm suffocating, so let me go.
Didn't you hear me?
I said let me go because,
I'm suffocating. SUFFOCATING, SUFFOCATING.
The practicality of pity.
Like lovers I need it.
And it needs me.
God damn she so pretty.
But shes so sick always falling victim to the next itch.
Turns out she was (as the defined word of a female dog) ! @#$%.
And I just got to get away.
Again I'm suffocating.
Because of a pact i cant retract.
Sworn to a twisted secrecy.
Blasphemy of myself to a infinity.
Pull the skin over my face.
Hide the disgrace.
Always smiling, when i should be one of misery and suffering.
No destain for anyone in this heart.
Even when its all falling apart.
I brush off the battle scars like their nothing.
Absolutely nothing.

Child in Red
Sometimes she walks through the village in her
little red dress
all absorbed in restraining herself,
and yet, despite herself, she seems to move
according to the rhythm of her life to come.
She runs a bit, hesitates, stops,
half-turns around...
and, all while dreaming, shakes her head
for or against.
Then she dances a few steps
that she invents and forgets,
no doubt finding out that life
moves on too fast.
It's not so much that she steps out
of the small body enclosing her,
but that all she carries in herself
frolics and ferments.
It's this dress that she'll remember
later in a sweet surrender;
when her whole life is full of risks,
the little red dress will always seem right.

Running For Cover
Spent the best of my life running scared
In the city
Left my shoes and my clothes and
My lovers behind, yeah
Oh but I felt incomplete
Living out there in the street
I was always alone and afraid
Such a pity
Little girls just dont know what comes
Out after dark
But the devil wasnt in here
Down on that dead end street
And I say
Running for cover
Running for cover
Running for cover
Its take keeping me running
Im just scared that hes out tonight
Its keeping me running
I dont know why, but its getting dark
Say the devils in the park
And its already after dark
Running for cover
Running for cover
Running for cover, now
Life is really so hard when you live in the city
No one know what a young girl
Has on her mind, yeah
But youre headed for defect
Down on that dead end street
Never learned of the lesson
You should, such a pity
Still and all youll stay away
The others behind
And the promise in the dark
Is that the devils in the park
And I say
Running for cover
Running for cover
Running for cover
Its take keeping me running
Im just scared that hes out tonight
Its keeping me running
I dont know why, but its getting dark
Say the devils in the park
And its already after dark
Running for cover
Running for cover
Running for cover

Get Up Off That Pity Pot
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
No need to keep weeping tears,
That long ago overflowed.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
Holding onto woes,
Have eroded your motives.
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
So wipe your eyes to dry,
And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!
Off your butt!
And realize...
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
You are not alone.
You're not alone.
Get up!
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot.
Why don't you,
Get up off that pity pot...
You've sat on quite a lot.
You need to get up off that pot.
Why don't you get up off that pot,
And stop those woes to drop.

Did I Deserve It?
You come in, sit on my bed,
Telling me you’re sorry,
Over and over again,
For another night that you dread.
My screaming eyes still stinging,
From all the betrayed tears I can’t cry.
You saying that it hurts you,
More then it hurts me to strike your fist against my skin.
Only if that was true,
But my soul speaks the truth,
Your lies speak none of.
Telling me it won’t happen again,
It happens over and over again,
I know this of truth.
My flesh may not be black and blue but,
My body is secretly broken and bruised,
My heart cut into yet another piece.
You can not see the scars on my skin,
For you leave no marks,
Unless its on my heart.
You are crying you say,
Out of guilt.
With one more push that knocks me down,
Then comes the size 8 shoe,
Because I don’t stay the right things.
At the time where I have just been,
Hurt so badly I cant stand up.
Yep this might mean another hospital trip,
I plead for you to stop.
Please no please I forgive you! ! !
I love you please stop! ! !
I lay there limp thinking,
Did I really deserve it this time, Mom? ? ?

The Divine Image
To Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love
All pray in their distress;
And to these virtues of delight
Return their thankfulness.
For Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love
Is God our Father dear,
And Mercy, Pity, Peace, and Love
Is man, His child and care.
For Mercy has a human heart,
Pity, a human face,
And Love, the human form divine,
And Peace, the human dress.
Then every man, of every clime,
That prays in his distress,
Prays to the human form divine,
Love, Mercy, Pity, Peace.
And all must love the human form,
In heathen, Turk, or Jew;
Where Mercy, Love, and Pity dwell
There God is dwelling too.
