Wish you were Dead - a loving tribute to David Gilmour and Roger Waters

So, So I think I can Say, that being with you
Was like heaven and hell
Though in the end just the latter
Blue skies filled with Grey
You made green fields frail
By your cold steel shell
Your innocents was a veil
; Yes I think I can tell

You betrayed all your heroes
And made them friends with a knife
Hot Ashen compassion!
Hot air with no manner!
Should just change you to cold matter
Yes Id rather exchange
romance with a passing bullet
than being married to your tragedy!

How I wish, how I wish you were dead! ! !
Your just one lost soul
I gladly drown in a toilet bowl
With every passing second
Run you down from my Volkswagen
What solace will I find?
Some divine peace of mind

Wish you were dead! ! ! ! !

Wish You Were Here

so, so you think you can tell heaven from hell,
blue skies from pain
can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
a smile from a veil?
do you think you can tell?
and did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
hot ashes for trees?
hot air for a cool breeze?
cold comfort for change?
and did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
how I wish, how I wish you were here
we're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
year after year running over the same old ground
what have you found?
the same old fears
wish you were here

Wish You Were Here

So
So you think you can tell
Heaven from hell
Blue skys from grey
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail
A smile from a veil
Yeah do you think you can tell
Did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts
Hot ashes for trees
Hot air for a cool breeze
Cold comfort for change
Yeah and did you exchange
A walk on part in this war
For a leading role in a cage
How I wish, how I wish you were here
Were just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Were running over the same old ground
What have we found
The same old fears
Well I wish you were here
I said I wish you were here yeah
Oh how I wish you were here
How I wish you were here
Hey and I wish you were here
Hey my rock star
How did you get so turned around
My rock star
How you did you get so turned around
Oh my rock star
(how did you get so turned around)
Did you get so turned around
Hey my my rock star
(how did you get so turned around
Inside out
Cut it all out now
Cut it all out now
Cut it all out now

Did they get you to trade
your heros for goals
Hot ashes for trees

Grey Blue Eyes

I feel for the light
Your glory was lost that night
And no mind can't get me right
And now I'm praying that you'll find me out
Stone, stone has pulled me down
But my faith has got me bound to your grey blue eyes
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
Don't forget my broken heart
You remember it from the start
You made it and it's all a part
Of your grey blue eyes
Oh, oh
Oh, oh
You're gone and I know I'm dead
I've lost my way
Can't find me in your grey blue eyes
Grey blue eyes
Grey blue eyes

Helicopter From Hell

I am riding on a helicopter
From hell
That is supposed to take me
To some place
Where I can in vain find some
Solace and peace
For just one moment, I pray to some God that not likely exists-
They say it is supposed to storm today
But the skies are lying
Just as the whole world
Tells me its daily untruths-
Hell is where I am now living and
Hell is where I shall find myself
After death-

Hell is my past and
Here in the present
I am damned and
Feel as if I have been betrayed-
An elderly woman,
Dressed in a chartreuse and brown-colored plaid frock
Torn at the hem and she is
Wearing worn oxfords, made of
Yellowed leather,
One untied-
Eyes in the back of her head spinning and
Glaring at me as she
Chatters, laughs at and prattles about me through the static on her
Wretched cell phone-
On this bus
Everyone is laughing at me disdainfully,
Ogling me through their glassy eyes-
The driver slows down every time
We come close to a green light turning yellow, then red-
Wanting to make me late
To that place
That place where I hopelessly seek solace and some
Peace of mind-
I would shoot him with a pistol
Or stab him with a knife-
If I owned either, which in sad reality I do not
If this bus were in truth a helicopter
It would fly high up in the sky but never would reach heaven-
Strangers with their beady eyes
In back of their heads-
Intently gazing into mine stealing my thoughts away-
They are nothing but ants to me whom I would stamp on
If I only could I would with joy and utmost glee.
My hands are shaking and my eyes are
Darting madly about-
“Everyone knows
That
Woman
Is
Psychotic –“
I hear them all say-
About me?
And
I don’t even care, because
I hate people and I have just fallen in love with myself and
That can only mean that
I must be from some other planet and
On this planet where I was conceived-
No heaven or hell exists, so
I ride this helicopter
Back to my home beyond the sky-
Beyond peace of mind,
Heaven, hell, or this planet earth, and where
The skies never lie and
I am lost in my own storm and I only wish that
That old crone would tie her shoe
And turn off her cell phone
So I can hear the voices
Always talking to me inside my mind-
As my eyes dart about and my hands shake-
As this world spins out of control and thunder claps
My phantom cell phone rings,
To tell me that
The sky has lied…one more time…
I am a lost soul,
Stranded and
Miles from home…
Destitute, impoverished, and
So in love
With
Myself…

The Year's End

THE voices of the wind and wave
They sigh the Old Year's requiem;
The dead are calling from the grave —
Good friends, a little space I crave
To turn aside and think of them.
They were as even you and I
When you and I were young as they;
And yet they knew the way to die —
Come, think with me, and tell me why
It should be thus with hearts so gay.
Ah, blessed be the gracious God
Who, moulding us from clay and dew,
From morning dew and clay untrod,
So breathed Himself into the sod
That we, at best, grow Godlike, too.
For, treading pleasure underneath,
These glory-souls, our country's flower,
Arose responsive to that breath
And looked into the face of Death,
And did not tremble at his power.
Should it not make us sure and tough
As tested steel, and unafraid,
To feel, though Fate ride robber-rough,
That we are fashioned of the stuff
Whereof these heroes, too, were made?
Though they are dead, and o'er them bends
A people's soul in mourning mood,
Proud Honour at their grave attends:
Henceforth we are a nation, friends,
By right of sacrificial blood.
The care-free days of youth are gone;
What once we were no more we are;
And dead are all the dreams that shone
Ere we were bruised and hammered on
The ringing anvils of red war.
The Spirit of Immortal Times,
With lights that dazzle and entice,
Is vitalizing all earth's climes;
Once more in golden tones it chimes
The anthem of High Sacrifice.
And yet, though Fame be very fair,
And great the yearning and desire
Of hero-hearts to do and dare,
Behold, there stands an empty chair
Beside a cold and ashen fire!
Because, as even you and I,
They loved and were beloved, my friends,
Not all the glory-stars on high,
The splendid things for which men die,
Can for their passing make amends.
There is a house that waits in vain
To give them entrance at its door,
When frost's afoot or chilly rain;
There is a track across the plain
That they, alas, shall ride no more.
A whip, a saddle, and a spur!
(Ah, love-lit rides! The moon above,
Sweet scents around, soft winds astir!)
God give him rest! And what of her?
Why ask? Is love not always love?
Dear eyes that pain has made divine,
Sad eyes that burn with tears unshed,
Within whose depths are griefs that pine
And pilgrim thoughts that seek the shrine,
The grave of their beloved dead;
Dear eyes, dear hearts, dear folk, tear-blind,
Who greet each morn with grief anew,
Pale cheeks grown cold, and foreheads lined, —
Since God is good and Heaven is kind,
There shall be recompense for you!
The Old Year dies; and o'er the waves,
Wind-borne, there comes a requiem
Deep-chanted by a sea that laves
The shores they loved. Oh, may their graves
Give goodly rest and peace to them!

Innocents Suicide

Innocents Suicide

Innocents of suicide lose the creator's gift of free will
Intellect lost in silent secrets and their mind forever still.

A sucide seldom only involves a singular individual one
The list inludes parents, family, friends, and God's will not be done.

Some of your yesterdays were just like today
The ones which were bad, you always threw away.

Innocents of a suicide lost God's gift of choice
No longer expressive is your mind and human voice.

If you wish to go then try to leave in peace
Sacrifice and give up your life and turn in your lease.

If you find it so difficult and can't find a friend
Go to the universal creator and say; 'I want my life to end'.

Each of us comes into the world and never alone
You insult your Mother to put her word love on your headstone.

If your life is filled with destructive forces and hate
Then talk with your God and do not hesitate.

Seek solace, speak, take a walk and if necessary cry
To kill an innocent soul is the same as a human suicide.

Tomorrow will never be exactly like the one today
The future you deny; because you intent is to slay.

Cold Blue Steel & Sweet Fire

Cold blue steel out of money
One eye for the beat police
Sweet fire calling
You cant deny me
Now you know what you need
Underneath the jungle gym
Hollow-grey-fire-escape-thief
Looking for sweet fire
Shadow of lady release
Come with me
I know the way she says
Its down, down, down the dark ladder
Do you want to contact somebody first
Leave someone a letter
You can come now
Or you can come later
A wristwatch, a ring, a downstairs screamer
Edgy-black cracks of the sky
Pin-cushion-prick-
Fix this poor bad dreamer!
Money cold shadows reply
Pawnshops crisscrossed and padlocked
Corridors spit on prayers and pleas
Sparks fly up from sweet fire
Black soot of lady release
Come with me
I know the way she says
Its down, down, down the dark ladder
Do you want to contact somebody first
Does it really matter
If you come now
Or if you come on later?
Red water in the bathroom sink
Fever and the scum brown bowl
Blue steel still begging
But its indistinct
Someones hi-fi drumming jelly roll
Concrete concentration camp
Bashing in veins for peace
Cold blue steel and sweet fire
Fall into lady release
Come with me I know the way she says
Its down, down, down the dark ladder
Do you want to contact somebody first
I mean what does it really matter
Youre going to come now
Or youre going to come later

Destressed

When twilight falls in shades of blue.
I turn my gaze towards the west
where clouds adopt a rosy hue
The setting sun goes to his rest.
The rosy glow soon fades away.
Pale blue deepens to Indigo
and marks the passing of the day.
This is the hour when I know
The stillness and the quietude
the peace which will refresh my soul
My heart is filled with gratitude.
The silence plays a major role.
Each evening, anew I find
solace for my troubled mind.

Dawn

O tender first cold flush of rose,
O budded dawn, wake dreamily ;
Your dim lips as your lids unclose
Murmur your own sad threnody.
0 as the soft and frail lights break
Upon your eyelids, and your eyes
Wider and wider grow and wake,
The old pale glory dies.

And then, as sleep lies down to sleep
And all her dreams lie somewhere dead,
The iron shepherd leads his sheep
To pastures parched whose green is shed.
Still, 0 frail dawn, still in your hair
And your cold eyes and sad sweet lips,
The ghosts of all the dreams are them,
To fade like passing ships.

Aluu Will Bludgeon You

Have you yet not heard?
Yes, it happened in Aluu
A community predominated by fools.
Four innocent students were burnt
to their deaths,
Right before their eyes they were made
to experience their worst fears; hell
Who said there should be another hell
after death?
Then God is not as merciful as they said.
But that is not end of what I've said;
Four innocents students were not given a chance
to prove their innocence;
In a matter of munites, that community
head had decided;
- Four innocents must be executed
- Four innocents must be uncladded
- Four innocents must be blodgeoned
to their deaths
- Four innocents must be burnt like I've said.

That day angels wept;
I never knew Lucifer could shed a tear.
Positions of leadership must not
be given to imbeciles,
For they will take their own anu*s
and use it to decide.
For how long will Nigeria
be cursed with its leaders?
I do not know;
And hell, well, heaven, I still
don't get it yet.

Envy Exposed

Green with Envy does not describe
The color worn by this foul Sin
For green is the color of living things
An Envious Heart has no life therein

The color Blue for Envy will not do
Blue is the sky where freedom sings
In skies so many dreams take flight
An Envious Heart has no wings

Envy cannot dress in Yellow or Gold
The warm colors of the life giving Sun
An Envious Heart is so bitterly cold
With no joie de vivre for all of life’s fun

Envy dare not wear any shade of Red
A color so linked to precious bloodshed
Blood is sacred not to be wantonly shed
An Envious Heart would bleed others till dead

Purple is the color of Passionate fire
An Envious Heart knows only Hate’s ire
Pink is a color where innocent youth may abide
An Envious Heart is tired and shriveled inside

Nor can Envy ‘s color be Black as night
For the star filled night is laced with light
Envy won’t wear Purity’s symbolic White
An Envious Heart does not own such a right

Envy cannot even lay its claim to Grey
(Muddled mix of color though be as it may)
Grey is the color of softness seen
An Envious Heart is hard and mean

What Envy wears best is Invisibility
So denuded of Soul none would wish to see
No color born of Heaven will suit it well
An Envious Heart will be naked in Hell

Cold Feet

There was a little boy once upon a time
Who in spite of his young age and small size knew his mind
For every copper penny and clover he would find
Make a wish for better days the end of hard times
For no more cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
His clothes were always clean
His face was always scrubbed
There was food on the table enough to fill him up
His house was full of life - his house was full of love
But when winter days arrived
There was never money enough to shod his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He grew up to be a worker determined to succeed
He made a life for himself, free from worldly wants or needs
But with nobody to share the life hed made
No body to keep him warm at night
When hed go to sleep hed sleep alone with his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
One night he walked the street looking to the heavens above
Searching for a shooting star a benevolent god
When a woman passing by brushed his arm
He turned and found love
He then wished for the courage to ask this stranger
Who she was to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought shed like the party life and want the finer things
So he promised more than he could buy
And he promised her the sun and moon to not have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He worked day and night his fingers to the bone
Hi worried mind guilty conscience drive him on
He cant give her what she needs
He wants to give her what he thinks she wants
Her sad-eyed face, his empty pockets drive him on and his cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Hed struggled all his life to be an honest man
Proud that the dirt on his palms was the soil of the land
But some guys he knew from high school days
Said they had a plan to get rich quick
And they could count him in if he dont have cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He thought about their offer accepted it without qualms
Dreamt about the life hed buy
The comfort that would come without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
He decided to tell his wife things would soon turn around
He said the little boy is dead
A man stands with you now without cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet
Without cold feet - cold cold cold cold feet
He thought hed set his clock right - he though hed read his watch
He left in such a hurry he didnt think to wish for luck
Makes no difference if youre early - no difference if youre late
When youre out of time - the flowers have been laid
Youre six feet underground
With cold feet
Cold cold cold cold feet

The requiem of the flies

The rain is crashing upon my face
Its like God is trying to wash away my pain
I look down upon the puddles of mud
Thinking about all the things I have done

The rain is so cold

The dark grey gloom surrounds me
My life is not as it should be
And I don't care anymore
I find that Living is such a bore

The rain is so cold

My mind is numb, cold and blank
This world is passing me by
This world is cold and dank
And I wonder why I have not died

The rain is so cold

Abaddon holds no surprises for me
Under the pale moon I danced on my grave
And I am on my way to hell
I cant deny what is to be

The rain is so cold

My soul is heavy and stained and
I don't want to carry it no more
I carry two coins in my hand
Waiting upon the water's shore

The rain is so cold

The man in white comes for me
Pretending to walk on water
Feet stuttering, hips jutting
About to fall in and he is getting closer

The rain is so cold

There will be no requiescat for me
My apple of Peru has wilted and
The lord of the flies wont let me be
He crushes the flower in my hand

The rain is so cold

It was my last day on earth
The two coins in my hand my life is not worth
My soul knows will know no reprieve
From hell I will never leave

The rain is so cold

My life is to repand upon itself
It is destined to reprise
My song has not ended
But has repetended

The rain is cold

To the Archean I was sent
Where I was meant to repent
Repentir, pentir, paenitere
Until the worlds' end

The rain is so cold

From the puddles of mud I look up
And realize I have gotten old
All my years spent wondering,
And I have no story to be told

The rain is so cold

I can only hope to die one day
And start it all over again but
The lord of the flies wont let me die
I have become one of his flies to my dismay

Bullet From A Gun

I lived my life
Like a bullet from a gun
racing down a barrel
from an explosive past
Always smoke and fire and blast
Then I moved on

In my haste racing away
I'm concerned not who
I graze
All my days I came
crashing into, littered souls
What carnage, too

Once I left I was gone
awesome, strong
Hell-bent on ways
that destruction sent
Cold steel and
Hot lead

My nerves bled
and others too
Through your flesh and heart
I pierced
With never a thought
of mercy due

I lived my life
Like a bullet
from a gun
Cold, cold steel and
Red hot lead

Lost me

I lost me
I don't know where to find me
Moments of despair
Stuck in the past behind me
Tangled together
No one can unwind me
I did it to myself
I let this life behind me
I lost me
Or is it you that betrayed me
Continuous failure
In hopes that you would save me
Left me out to die
As if it wasn't you that made me
I thought I had you in my palms
Somehow you've escaped me
I lost me
On the road to my ow self
In search of paradise
But somehow
I discovered hell
Burning here
Along w/ all my mistakes
Still searching for forever
No matter how long it takes
I lost me
In the mist of the truth
Buried by the lies
I used to better you
better me, better them
Searching for an excuse
An empty shell of once was
What did you let me do?
I lost me

No Reason Just Is

Broken glass snow
pale blue eye rain
strips of sh__ tar fields
dead end concrete plains
sudden flush of satori
down suburban toilet drain.
gonna spend my life
rummagin' though
petal'd trashcans
polishin' rusted
schoolyard brains
hangin golden grape leaves
on the names of unmarked graves

pure infinite electricity!
Empty shapeless blue energy!
Clear measureless ecstasy!
Infinite forms
passing through a
formless infinity!
One illusion veils
one veil
veils nothing
all is
no reason
just is
just life
just death
just everything
forgotten
in-between.

A Criminal Mind

I Lyrics and Words by Lawrence Gowan
from his album Strange Animal
You've seen my hands are steady
You've seen my face before
Soon you can take your last look
And they'll close the door
I stand accused before you
I have no tears to cry
And you will never break me
Until the day I die
A criminal mind was all I
All I've ever known
They've tried to reform me
Cause I'm made of cold stone
My criminal mind is all I
All I've ever had
Ask one who's known me
If I'm really so bad...
I am
I've spent my life behind these steel bars
I've paid my debt in time
But being brought to justice
That was my only crime
I don't regret action
I'd do the same again
These prison walls secure me
And I'm numb to pain
A criminal mind was all I
All I've ever known
They've tried to reform me
But I'm made of cold stone
My criminal mind is all I
All I've ever had
Ask one who's known me
If I'm really so bad...
I am
Before you hand me over
Before you read my sentence
I'd like to say a few words
Here in my own defense
Some people struggle daily
They struggle with their conscience 'til the end
I have no guilt to haunt me
I feel no wrong intent
A criminal mind is all I
All I've ever known
Don't try to reform me
Cause I'm made of cold stone
My criminal mind is all I
All I've ever had
Ask one who's known me
If I'm really so bad...
I am
Oh I am
Oh I am
I'm made of cold stone
Made of cold stone
I'm just like these prison walls
A criminal mind
