Butterfly Wings

Butterfly wings
As fluttering brings
The most sensuous touch.
Kisses that thrill.
Our bodies that spill
The perfume of love.
When they tingle so much.
That featherlight ache
Ends in earthquake.
With songs of the soul,
Cried out in the night.
Our eyes set alight
As we burn as one.
That tickle inside
That stings.
Teased by unquenchable bliss.
Oh baby
Those butterfly wings
Of your kiss.

Butterfly Kisses

There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and shes daddys little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night,
She talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life, But most of all...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony daddy, its my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that Ive done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet sixteen today.
Shes looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings in a great big world. But I remember...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you daddy, but if you dont mind,
Im only going to kiss you on cheek this time."
With all that Ive done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precise time.
Like the wind, the years go by.
Precious butterfly, spread your wings and fly.
Shell change her name today.
Shell make a promise, and Ill give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her.
She asked me what Im thinking, and I said, "Im not sure,
I just feel like Im losing my baby girl."
Then she leaned over... and gave me...
Butterfly kisses, with her mama there.
Stickin little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk me down the aisle daddy, its just about time."
"Does my wedding gown look pretty daddy?" "Daddy dont cry."
With all that Ive done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses.
I couldnt ask God for more, man, this is what love is.
I know Ive gotta let her go, but Ill always remember.
Every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

She's A Butterfly

She remembers when she first got her wings
And how she opened up that day
she learned to sing
Then the colors came, erased the
black and white
And her whole world changed
when she realized
[Chorus:]
She's a butterfly, pretty as the crimson sky
Nothing's ever gonna bring her down
And everywhere she goes
Everybody knows she's so glad to be alive
She's a butterfly
Like the purest light in a darkened world
So much hope inside such a lovely girl
You should see her fly, it's almost magical
It makes you wanna cry, she's so beautiful
[Chorus]
God bless the butterfly,
give her the strength to fly
Never let her wings touch the ground
God bless the butterfly,
give her strength to fly
Never let her wings touch the ground
[Chorus]
God bless the butterfly,
give her the strength to fly
Never let her wings touch the ground
God bless the butterfly,
give her the strenght to fly
Never let her wings touch the ground

Winged

a butterfly
landed
on the lawn
in front of me

fluttering poorly
several times
folding
most beautiful wings

reached out
with my hand
so he or she
could land

felt
that softest touch

saw
as nearby
as never before
that butterfly
showing
those magnificent wings
a few times more
until
folded together
for the last time

feeling speechless
impressed
blessed
with the gift
of sharing those last moments
of a butterfly
now flying
on eternal wings

Love Is Like A Butterfly

Love is like a butterfly
As soft and gentle as a sigh
The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings
Love makes your heart feel strange inside
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
I feel it when youre with me
It happens when you kiss me
That rare and gentle feeling that I feel inside
Your touch is soft and gentle
Your kiss is warm and tender
Whenever I am with you I think of butterflies
Love is like a butterfly
The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings
Love makes your heart feel strange inside
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
Your laughter brings me sunshine
Everyday is spring time
And I am only happy when you are by my side
How precious is this love we share
How very precious, sweet and rare
Together we belong like daffodils and butterflies
Love is like a butterfly
As soft and gentle as a sigh
The multicolored moods of love are like its satin wings
Love makes your heart feel strange inside
It flutters like soft wings in flight
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing
Love is like a butterfly, a rare and gentle thing

Butterfly

VERSE 1
When you love someone so deeply
They become your life
It's easy to succumb to overwhelming fears inside
Blindly I imaged I could
Keep you under glass
Now I understand to hold you
I must open my hands
And watch you rise

CHORUS 1
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

VERSE 2
I have learned that beauty
Has to flourish in the light
Wild horses run unbridled
Or their spirit dies
You have given me the courage
To be all that I can
And truly feel your heart will
Lead you back to me when you're
Ready to land

CHORUS 2
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

BRIDGE
I can't pretend these tears
Aren't over flowing steadily
I can't prevent this hurt from
Almost overtaking me
But I will stand and say goodbye
For you'll never be mine
Until you know the way it feels to fly

CHORUS 3
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

CHORUS 4
Spread your wings and prepare to fly
For you have become a butterfly
Fly abandonedly into the sun
If you should return to me
We truly were meant to be
So spread your wings and fly
Butterfly
So flutter through the sky
Butterfly
Spread your wings and fly
Butterfly

Torn Butterfly

Torn butterfly torn butterfly
Seeing you there it makes me cry
Torn butterfly your wings they tore
From the weight that they bore
Torn butterfly it's plain to see
That you are just the same as me
Torn butterfly the world is tough
Hard as stones and just as rough
Torn butterfly I know your pain
And I don't want to know it again
Torn butterfly come join me now
And we'll regain our wings somehow
Torn butterfly it's sad but true
In death our wings become brand new
Torn butterfly just fade away
And we will fly this very day
Torn butterfly this note I send
And hope that you will cause your end
So we can fly in clear blue skies
Where no one hurts and no one cries
Torn butterfly with my last breath
I ask you to come join me in death

Sweet Nuptial Dream

Oh fluttering pretty butterfly
At your make I gasp with daze
Let me join your dazzling dance
Laced with grace of swaggering steps

Oh sensuous playful butterfly
To your songs I simply sway
Come play me your silken flute
Treat my heart to blissful tunes

Of gentle precious butterfly
For your robe my pollen long
Let me hold you oh dainty dressed
Flake on me in golden scales

Oh beautiful princess butterfly
Come and see my petals glow
Pray attend my nectar's flow
Please my passion with probing kiss

Come please, oh butterfly
Kindly share my scented soul
Cause my life to boundless bloom
Burst with me in flame of Love
On improvement of the female sex in love relationships.

Fly My Muse Fly

Strum your kisses
tickle my lips
fly my muse fly

upon diamond daydream wings
over earth strum your airy kiss
your evergreen harp's florid garden gifts
tickle my lips with daisy petaled fingertips
and light tapping feet of dancing tulips

featherlight trance, let me slowly fade away
whisked into flight atop the warm winds
of Melisa's zephyrean blue butterfly ballet
soothing summer syrup, sun steeping all day
cradled in the hammock's gentle sea-breeze sway

fly my muse fly
upon diamond day dream wings
tickle my lips with your harp's evergreen kiss
I'll arrive, reborn, with the magnolias of spring
pink apple blossoms and laughter's golden pollen
to your bedside I'll bring

fly my muse fly
strum the soothing syrupy strings of your harp
tickle the world with the marigold manna
sung from your heavenly heart

Love and the butterfly

Love is like a butterfly
never here nor there
high or low
not really watching where to go.

A first love is like a butterfly
hatching out of a cocoon
we are amazed by the beauty
of this new feeling.

True love is like a butterfly
spreading its wings
and starting towards the sky
knowing that they want to have this forever.

Loosing love is like a butterfly
laying its eggs then flying away to die
leaving them in this big world all alone
knowing nothing familiar only home.

Wanting for love is like a butterfly
still as a caterpillar
wanting those wings
to be just like his friends.

Love is like a butterfly
Trying to spread its wing and fly
Love is like a butterfly
It can stay or it can die.

Butterfly

You should know that my smile was leading to this
It's all in this letter
Strange how your wings ache like a son of a bitch
Just when you're, just when you're finally better
(fly away)
Butterfly
Someone like you just better watch where you step
People have been known to bleed
See how my words read like a kick in the head
Sometimes that's just what you need
(fly away)
Butterfly
Butterfly
Fly away my butterfly
Fly away
Fly away my butterfly
Fly away
Don't you know that my smile was misleading
I have outgrown my cocoon
By the time taht you read what you're reading
I will have flown to the moon
Fly away my butterfly
Fly away
Fly away my butterfly
Fly away...
You should know that my smile was leading to this

I saw a Butterfly Today

I saw a butterfly today
Small and green with no wings
Crawlsing into shadows\hiding from a world who ignores it's subtle beauty
Afraid to never be noticed...appreciated

I saw a butterfly today
Camoflauged and shielded in self-made walls
Neglecting the world of it's gentle touch
Afraid to be met with a forceful hand

I saw a butterfly today
Wings new and fresh
Excited with exhileration
Facing a world with new courage
Knowing it can not be harmed

I saw a butterfly today
Blue and gold streaked the sky
embracing the sunlight's rays
Fluttering around my head
Carring my heart on her flight

I saw a butterfly today

Butterfly Kisses

There’s one thing I know,
That I hold close to me
My dreams are drifting
Off and onto the sea

I stand at the shore
The cool wind in my hair
And I remember one spring
You were here then

I felt your butterfly kisses
Shining over me
My butterfly kisses mean so much to me
I promise that I
Shall never let go.
My butterfly kisses
I love you so.

The waves crash on the rocks
The white twirling waves
You hold me so close
So I never stray

So close to the edge,
And I hold on tight
Knowing you’re my anchor
My anchor
On this cold spring night

I felt your butterfly kisses
Shining over me
My butterfly kisses mean so much to me
I promise that I
Shall never let go.
My butterfly kisses
I love you so.

Oh my butterfly kisses
On the cold stormy nights
Oh my butterfly kisses
Feel like home
You’re butterfly kisses
Warm me to the core
And our butterfly kisses will last
On and on

No matter if the world may stop
No matter if I’m in L.A or
Somewhere you can’t reach me
Remember, my darling
I will always love your
Butterfly kisses

Butterfly

Written: steve anderson and kylie minogue
Mm mmm
In the morning Ill wake up with you
Theres not anything I would rather do
You are more than youll ever know
And your love teaches me to grow
You are more than my everything
And your love gives me wings
Like a butterfly
And Ill dance in the sunlight
Like a butterfly
From the day into the night
Your touch
Is the one thing I know is true
My mind
Is completely devoted to you
You are more than youll ever know
And your love teaches me to grow
You are more than my everything
And your love gives me wings
Like a butterfly
And Ill dance in the sunlight
Like a butterfly
From the day into the night
And it mightnt last more than a day
But Ill take my chances anyway
cause my heart is saying its for real
No-one else has made me feel this way

Butterfly Flutterby

The butterfly was young
Her vibrant wings of delicate lace
Such grace such poise
A hcarming butterfly
The cricket was slick thicket
Moving quick but swift
Yet smart somewhat wise
Proud of his chirp
Hopping through the grass
Butterfly fluttered by till upon a rose
Spreading her wings a dainty show
Slowly sipping sweet
Hopping skipping
Cricket saw
Butterfly glanced
The cricket saw butterfly
The butterfly looked yonder
Cricket hopped and chirped
A jumpety crickety song
Butterfly sighed
And rolled her eyes
Cricket hopped closer
Butterfly laughed
Silly cricket trying hard
Butterfly cared less
Poor cricket hopped and hopped
Butterfly sipping nectar sweet
Cricket sang sonfter sweeter
Butterfly stopped
A song so sweet
Too lovely than nectar
Cricket hopped upon a rose
Butterfly jumped
Almost to fly away
Cricket song too lovely to fly away
Butterfly in a trance
Fluttering her wings lovely
Too charming
Too tempting
Crickect sang
Butterfly in a spell
Too late to break
Lovers forever
Strange couple though
Yet lovely
Yet happy
Suave cricket, Princess Butterfly
Flutterby, flutterby.......

Butterfly

You could flap your wings a thousand miles away
Butterfly
A laughing salesman sings
His world so far away
Butterfly
Butterfly
Butterfly
You could take the storm away forever every day
Cause you're mine
And i don't know what to say
You could let my smile disappear for a year
Cause you're mine
That's the only way i like it to be
Butterfly
Butterfly
Butterfly
Butterfly
You could flap your wings a thousand miles away
I'd still feel the pain
I'd still feel the pain
You could flap those eyes a thousand miles away
I'd still feel the way
I'd still feel the way
Butterfly
Butterfly
Here she comes now
Here she comes now
Here it comes now
Here she comes now
Here it comes now...
When we get to the best part
It happens all the time
You tell me all your lies
You tell me all your lies
You get your kicks from seeing me on the floor
Tied to your bed
Tied to the things you said
Butterfly is coming back
Butterfly is coming back
Butterfly is coming back
Butterfly is coming back
Butterfly
Butterfly
Butterfly
Butterfly...

Oh why butterfly?

His wings of jade and amber,
Wink, like gilt pennants in the sun.
Oh why butterfly?
Just flutter on by.

As he twists and he tumbles,
He sheds tears of childish glee.
Oh why butterfly?
Escape to the sky.

Dark nights are ever nearer,
But he sings his carefree song.
Oh why butterfly?
For winter is nigh

The frost set hard on my butterfly,
His glowing eyes were lifeless.
His beautiful wings lost all their shine.
Oh why butterfly?
I hear your cry.

My love is a butterfly

My love's like a butterfly caged in my heart
And dashing in the darkness, searching for way out.
My love's like a butterfly with a burnt tired wings,
With a short memory, with no deadly sins.
My love's just a butterfly, it can't find the key,
But still hovers silently and wants to get free.
My love's like a butterfly with one given chance
To get out of my chest and become a romance.
But you have to help her to break out from inside,
My love is a butterfly, it can't give a fight.
Why my love is the butterfly seeking for peace?
It's unsafe fleeting life is intended for miss...
Now you know my love's butterfly, fragile, not free
You can kill it unwittingly, with just one memory.

The Shortest Moment That The Butterfly Tries To Speak

how many flutters of its wings is its lifetime?
not a hundred, this butterfly with blue shaking lines on its wings
some dots of black on the lower tip
some flaps of dust as you hold it.

we love to see it freely hovering from one flower to another
blending with its colors, it is not trying to hide anything
beautiful, it is showing itself, beautiful butterfly,

how gentle, soft to our hearts as we watch it
there is no sound of its wings and its graceful feeding on the nectars
then it rests on a leaf. we leave it there.

the wind last night was strong.
we see the leaf where it stayed on the pebbled ground.
there are no wings. there is no trace where the blue butterfly is.

how many flutters did that butterfly make?
such a brief moment, yet so beautiful
that is the message of the life of its lost wings.

Butterfly Fly Away

You tucked me in, turned out the light
Kept me safe and sound at night
Little girls depend on things like that

Brushed my teeth and combed my hair
Had to drive me everywhere
You were always there when I looked back

You had to do it all alone
Make a living, make a home
Must have been as hard as it could be

And when I couldn't sleep at night
Scared things wouldn't turn out right
You would hold my hand and sing to me

Caterpillar in the tree
How you wonder who you'll be
Can't go far but you can always dream

Wish you may and wish you might
Don't you worry, hold on tight
I promise you there will come a day
Butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away
Flap your wings now you can't stay
Take those dreams and make them all come true

Butterfly fly away, butterfly fly away
We've been waiting for this day
All along and knowing just what to do
Butterfly, butterfly, butterfly, butterfly fly away

Butterfly fly away
Butterfly fly away
