Bittersweet is the life lived,
By that one depicted to be...
The odd one out.
The one picked as a child,
To be the one most unusual.
Bittersweet is the taste,
Of being determined to succeed...
Against opposition,
Standing on the sidelines...
And betting one this different will bleed.
Bittersweet is the one that experiences,
Observing other fall to their knees...
With qualifications that guarantees,
Them success.
But no happiness from them is expressed.

Strawberry Wine
He was working through college on my grandpa's farm.
I was thirsting for knowledge and he had a car.
I was caught somewhere between a woman and a child.
One restless summer we found love growing wild.
On the banks of the river on a well beaten path.
It's funny how those memories they last.
Like strawberry wine and seventeen.
The hot July moon saw everything.
My first taste of love oh bittersweet.
Green on the vine.
Like strawberry wine.
I still remember when thirty was old.
And my biggest fear was September when he had to go.
A few cards and letters and one long distance call.
We drifted away like the leaves in the fall.
But year after year I come back to this place.
Just to remember the taste.
Of strawberry wine and seventeen.

Bittersweet day that arrives
Bittersweet day that arrives,
bittersweet the sun is burning
another man came between her and me
has broken our love down to nothing
and now she loves him
with everything between us shattered.
If I look for the things binding us,
there is only pain that I find in memories
as if everything between us turns away
to something forsaken and strange
I am still blinded; only find the words of a child.
Big-eyed memories

with the pain, the sweet joy that it brings,
I try to again to be intrusive
but between us everything is finished.

Slow Dancing With The Moon
Sweet little cherry blossom, blooming before her time
Moving her lips to her favorite song, cherishing every rhyme
Swaying her hips to the rhythm, humming along with the tune
Lost in her own little dream world, slow dancing with the moon
Watching her I cannot help but go back in my mind
And suddenly I find I am 15 again
