Daughter
9 months i carried you
An 9 months i waited for you
9 months later
With 6 hours of labor
Here you are
So cute an so small
My little girl you are
3 years i held you
In my arms you were
In fear and tears
Were you wrapped safely in my arms
Now nearly 4 years later i lose you
My little girl taken away
You were tortured an beaten
left alone to die
You came of a crime
An i didnt love you any less
You changed my life so much
An as fast as you came
You left me so soon
I spend my days down
Crying every minute without you
When i should be holding you
Showing that i love you
That i will always be there
But instead i cry an cry
Placing flowers on a grave for you
My daughter you were made
My daughter you became
My daughter you are
Whether here or far away
My daughter you will always be

Im The Girl
Ive got a memory
A thousand years old
And I know secrets
Ive never been told
And Ive got jewels
I havent found
And theyll return me
To the ground
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
And Im a siren
Ill wreck you on my shores
And Im godiva
Ill call you back for more
And Im medusa
And Im your favourite doll
And Im a georgia okeefe
Hanging on your wall
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
Im joan of arc
Im the girl next door
Im the mother and the daughter
Of the mother and the daughter before
And I remember being born just sound and light
And sound and light and light
And I remember the first time, skin on skin in the arms
In the arms of the night
Well how many times have we looked up into the starry skies
And how many times have we felt the passion rise
Every ruby-lipped girl baby, old lady, squaw junkie, girl after girl after girl
Every muse, whore, good witch, princess, back arching, year after year after year
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
Im the girl, Im the girl, Im the girl
You know me
Im joan of arc
Im the girl next door
Im the mother and the daughter
Of the mother and the daughter
The mother and the daughter
Of the mother and the daughter
The mother and the daughter
Of the mother and the daughter
Before.

Re-Dedicated
Simmering stew of love
Left unattended
She left in such a rush
That she forgot to tell:
When to straighten my skirt
And when done away with
-Put my smiles away in attic
[Originally inspired after a brief conversation with a very precious friend about her mother who died when she was 5; didn't know that in just six months it had to be re-dedicated to her when she died and left her 5 years daughter-forever; this is from her daughter]

Daughter's Gone, Daughter's Gone
Daughter's gone, daughter's gone,
Still my memories linger on;
All those moments through the years
Fraught with anguish, doubts and fears.
Yes, she left before her time,
Changing patterns with life's rhyme;
Left our nest, in love, unschooled
And I judged her sadly fooled.
Seventeen's a fright-filled age,
With emotions on rampage;
There she left, forevermore,
Left the welcome of our door.
Now, she's gone and wedded, schooled,
Leaving me completely fooled.
Though she left before her time,
She's in cadence with life's rhyme.
Now, there's glitter in my tears
And I laugh right through my fears;
Still my memories linger on-
Daughter's gone-Daughter's gone.

Anyones Daughter
I stood under your bedroom window
Throwing up a brick
No one came I threw one more
That really did the trick
Your daddy came and banged my head
He said what kind of man
Is this thats hanging round my girl
And threw me in the car
Youre a farmers daughter
Youre a farmers daughter
Why do I always get
The kinda girl I didnt oughta get
I wont get no more eggs and water
Now Ive laid the farmers daughter
Imagine I was a full-grown man
And I could talk just right
Could I come and see you here
And do this every night
Wham! the door comes crashing down
Your daddys face all pale
Says come with me you hairy bum
Ill put you in my jail
Youre a judges daughter
Youre a judges daughter
Why do I always get
The kinda girl I didnt oughta v et
Now Im getting jail and torture
cause I made the judges daughter
It seems theyre screaming law and order
When I go with anyones daughter
Woman I should like some peace
And daddy hold your tongue
I think youre gonna die of fright
When I tell you what Ive done
I can hear your tales and lies
You say Im dumb and scraggy
But man this dumb and scraggy is
Your daughters babys daddy
Shes a lucky daughter
Such a lucky daughter
Why did I always get
The kinda girl I didnt wanna get
Now Ive got what I always fought for
cause Ive married a rich mans daughter

Suffocated
Millie Allstruck suffocated
Her daughter. Millie held
The cushion down. Saw her
Daughter’s arms flap like
Some bird in a trap. Millie
Held her breath for as long
As she could, until the arms
Stopped flapping, until her
Bird was dead. She stood
There holding the cushion
In place waiting for sounds,
Any motion. Millie removed
The cushion, stood gaping,
Holding the cushion, breathing
In deep. Her daughter lay there
Staring into space, a sense of
Peace on her three year old face.
Millie had pushed out the cancer,
Put out the fire. She had her
Daughter back sans pains, sans
The creeping disease, sans
The long nights. She put down
The cushion, placed her daughter’s
Arms across her small chest, closed
The eyes, brushed the hair, thin
And fair. Millie Allstruck stood
And watched and saw sunlight
Touch her daughter’s head as if
The finger of God had touched
And took away. Better to have
Loved and lost than not loved at all,
Millie heard her mother once say.

Daughter Of Darkness
Woman, I can remember a woman
Warm were her kisses and tender was she lying there in my arms
Why
Why, did you deceive me so?
What devil inside made you go when I needed you most of all-ll
Oh daughter of darkness
Stay out of my life, my life
You took my heart and broke it apart, you daughter of darkness
Daughter of darkness
Please, leave me alone forever
Daughter of darkness, gone is the love that we shared together
Heaven, we had our own kind of heaven
Sharing together the magic of love in a world of our own
Then oh so suddenly you were gone
The love I depended upon disappeared when you werent away-ay
Oh daughter of darkness
Stay out of my life, my life
You took my heart and broke it apart, you daughter of darkness
Daughter of darkness
Please, leave me alone forever
Oh devil daughter of darkness, gone is the love that we shared together
Oh daughter of darkness
Stay out of my life, my life
You took my heart and broke it apart, you daughter of darkness
Oh daughter of darkness
Stay out of my life, my life
You took my heart and broke it apart, you daughter of darkness
Daughter of darkness
Please, leave me alone forever
Oh devil daughter of darkness, gone is the love that we shared together

My Angel Daughter
My Angel Daughter
You came into this world
Was treasured forever.
An angel sent from heaven above
For my pride heart to embrace.
My pride heart is overflowing
With the marvel of a love like
I have never acknowledged.
When I cuddled you in my arms
It was magical! A touch no other
But my motherhood could offer.
Truly the passion required no words.
Your gorgeous face
Is something I admire to see each day?
With a single word of love to intensity
As you are so cute and amazingly lucid
Your eyes soften me with emotion
So powerful it is beyond belief.
A caring and unconditional love
That shines from them, that…
Makes me tremble with excitement
For our life to start a journey
Each day your smile seal
my heart with a happiness
To have you in my life daughter
is truly a blessing!
Whenever my cute daughter you embrace me,
I hope you by no means let go from me
I will always embrace you back,
And this I hope you know...........
How much I desire for you to be with me
You’re my angel daughter, my sweetest daughter,
Everything I desire you to be.
You’re my angel daughter sent from god,
To share my life with you.
Maybe one day we meet again,
In other circumstances and…
I promise to you yet again
My unconditional love and devotion.
For I will treasure each day
That God provide me and you,
Our own little piece of heaven on earth.
In which we can live forever
God bless you my angel daughter...
With health, wealth and happiness of peace
God bless you with all you necessitate in life.
You are my angel daughter....
I love you so.....
On summer evening a month of June,21 years ago I gave birth to a cute loving daughter, which was a very excitement day for both of us to see her softness and the way she embrace in my arms. Today she is grown up as a beautiful woman. One day she will leave my side to build her future and family like me.

She Died
She died,
And I saw the loved ones cried
Right on her mother's arms she slept,
And not a word she said when she left,
Or if at all to return.
I missed the way she walked;
How she talked.
And the mother, she's getting no younger,
Can she bring forth another daughter?
A daughter to soothe the pain
This daughter left behind her.

Father Freak (1) (Took Son's Wife And Killed Son's Daughter)
A 4-year-old daughter was murdered,
by a 45-year-old grandfather,
who had a love affair with his daughter-in-law,
who is a 23-year-old woman whose husband's heart got gnawed.
The husband found out the affair and had their marriage got undone.
The grandfather did'nt have any consideration for his son.
He admitted beating the grand-daughter to death,
stuffing his body into a suitcase and throwing into the river bed.
Murder occured in May, about 3 months ago.
3 weeks ago, her great grandmother contacted Authority for her no-
show.
Then the disappearance brought to police attention.
How could they commit a crime full of sins?
They have children of their own,
but about parental love they have never known.
The father not only robbed his son of his wife,
but also put an end to his grand-daughter's life.
There are actually some bad fathers,
who could be compared to freak Monster.
Mothers And Their Daughters
they struck him down hard early in life
he slaps me around plenty
i cannot leave
my daughter never cries
to feed my daughter
i will take on the whole lot of you
the young men howl
i am a mother in time of famine
my daughter dying at my breast
my husband wants a son
my first child a love child a daughter
a wedding to make it right
a family joke to keep me honest
they have a one child policy here
he took my first child my daughter
sold her to the americans
as a child they mutilated me
for fear i might become the woman i am
they will never get to my daughter
I am told to hate my burqa
it keeps my secret from him
my daughter will wear the burqa

How do you build a relationship when you've hardly shared a word but suddenly share a child? How do you love a daughter you don't see for nearly two years? When does she become your daughter? How does she become your daughter?

Wish I Was Little Again
when I was a little girl
I was daddy's little angel
he thought I was sent from heaven
he used to pray with me every night
but now
I'm the devil daughter he never wanted
I was meant for hell instead of earth
he acts as if he never wants me around
I'm use to feeling this
try to make em proud
never works, I give up
I wish I was daddy's little angel again
blowing kissing back and forth
laughing when he would take my nose
I want that all back
but now,
I still love him
and somewhere down inside
he loves me too. I hope at least
But now, I will live my life,
wondering why he changed his mind
from his angel daughter
to his devil daughter
in less then a few years

Father Daughter Moments
My daughter said something the other day
We were sitting on the front steps, talking
Someone wanted to enter the building, she stood up and said 'we're just having a father daughter moment'
My daughter is still young, only 27
And hearing her say that, my heart swelled with pride
She still wants to have moments with her father
My adult daughter still needed me
So much is said about the mother-daughter bond
But there's an even stronger bond between a father and a daughter
No matter how old she is, she's still daddy's little girl
And he always wants to be there for her
Father daughter moments last a lifetime
From playground accidents to a broken heart
You do your best to help her pain go away
Because when she's in pain, you are too

Oh, My Darling Daughter MaKayla
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
My God, how I have missed you.
I thought of you every second of every day,
Always wondering just what it was that you were up to.
You had thought that I had forgotten,
But, Baby Girl, I cannot ever forget.
None of the Hell that we all went through,
Nor any of the things that I may now regret.
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
I love you, so very much.
It practically killed of these past years,
How you and I some how lost touch.
Oh, My Darling Daughter, MaKayla,
I am so proud of you, and whom you have become.
You are Intelligent and Beautiful,
And to me, you are simply Number 1.
Oh, my darling daughter, MaKayla,
I am here, if and when ever you may need me.
I will remain where I have always been,
All these years.

Waiting In Vain
I STAND ALONE UNDER THAT TREE
WAITING FOR YOU
I DON’T SEE THE HOURS FLYING BY
THE PEOPLE DARTING BY
THE TREE UNDER WHICH WE HAD MET
DAYS PASS INTO MONTHS AND YEARS
STILL AM WAITING FOR YOU
AS TIME PASSES BY THE LOVE FOR YOU
GROWS AS THE BRANCHES OF THE TREE
BUT ONE DAY ALL THE LOVE SHATTERED
AS I SEE YOU UNDER THAT TREE
IN SOMEBODY ELSES ARMS.
ALL THOSE YEARS OF WAITING WAS REWARDED
BY THE HAPPINESS YOU HAVE
BUT AM LEFT BEHIND THINKING
IS THIS THE ONE I WAITED FOR
ALL THESE YEARS IN VAIN.

Zion's Daughter
Zion's daughter, now your heart is full of joy
In a cradle in the manger lies the holy boy
Zion's daughter, with your sweet angelic smile
Holding in your arms the christ child, resting for awhile
Now the world is waiting, people want to hear
What in bethlehem had happened, that have brought the saviour near
Now high hope starts rising for another day
With eternal love and justice finally on the way
Zion's daughter, now your heart is full of joy
In a cradle in the manger lies the holy boy
Zion's daughter, with your sweet angelic smile
Holding in your arms the christ child, resting for awhile
Zion's daughter, now your heart is full of joy
In a cradle in the manger lies the holy boy
Zion's daughter, with your sweet angelic smile
Holding in your arms the christ child, resting for awhile
That's the way it happened many years ago,
With the sky above the shining in a wonderous stroll
Now the world is waiting, people want to hear
What in bethlehem had happened, that all will say you're near
Zion's daughter, now your heart is full of joy
In a cradle in the manger lies the holy boy
Zion's daughter, with your sweet angelic smile
Holding in your arms the christ child, resting for awhile
Zion's daughter...

An apple in my eye
Few years ago, she came to my life
Like a little flowers that blooms
From a little bud to a flower
Giving me all pride as my man's wife
She is soft, pink and gentle
Always laughing and smiling
She is understanding beyond her age
And talks lots of an adage
She cares us like our mom
She cuddles us like our dad
We often wonder, who she is?
Our daughter, or an angle
Sent by god for two tired souls
Who struggled all through
Our daughter, or an spirit
That springs to us with smiles
When we think we are lost for ever
Our daughter, or a medicine
That heals our body and mind'
From the disabilities we suffered
Our daughter, or a bundle
Of joy, driving away our tears
And making us live without any fears
Yeah, she is, and she alone can be
Our heavens given gift in life
Our god's blessed child
Our dreams come true girl
Our beautiful little sweetie pie
An apple in our eye.
None other than Aishwarya
Who proudly calls herself as Aishwarya Roy.
Lovingly called Chinku by amma
And roudima by appa.

I Am Not Sorry No She Said
I am not sorry no she said
That my ex son in law is dead
He gave to my daughter a hard life
And she to him was a good wife.
It may seem a callous thing of me to say
That I'm not sorry he's out of the way
For without him my daughter will survive
And in fact I'd like to think she'll thrive.
And though I feel her years with him were wasted years
My daughter sheds her grief in tears
To him she was a good wife and a good friend
And she stayed with him right to the end.
Whatever in him did she see
I find it way far beyond me
For to understand the workings of humanity
For they were different as can be.
She said as for myself I've been lucky in life
Lucky to be a good man's wife
But our daughter good of heart and kind
In love and marriage happiness failed to find.
Her feelings she is not afraid to own
When she said the rudest man that I've ever known
And I am not sorry no she said
That my ex son in law is dead.

Father And Daughter
Father and daughter spend some quiet time together in the living room
Shining through the curtain is the sun
And outside is the glorious afternoon
Father reads to his daughter the poetry she loves
Father and daughter enjoy each other's company
Father takes his daughter by the hand
As they take a walk outside
Father cares for his daughter
And always wishes the very best to happen for her

The Free-Selector's Daughter
I met her on the Lachlan Side --
A darling girl I thought her,
And ere I left I swore I'd win
The free-selector's daughter.
I milked her father's cows a month,
I brought the wood and water,
I mended all the broken fence,
Before I won the daughter.
I listened to her father's yarns,
I did just what I `oughter',
And what you'll have to do to win
A free-selector's daughter.
I broke my pipe and burnt my twist,
And washed my mouth with water;
I had a shave before I kissed
The free-selector's daughter.
Then, rising in the frosty morn,
I brought the cows for Mary,
And when I'd milked a bucketful
I took it to the dairy.
I poured the milk into the dish
While Mary held the strainer,
I summoned heart to speak my wish,
And, oh! her blush grew plainer.
I told her I must leave the place,
I said that I would miss her;
At first she turned away her face,
And then she let me kiss her.
I put the bucket on the ground,
And in my arms I caught her:
I'd give the world to hold again
That free-selector's daughter!
