The Rites Of Darkness

The sleds of the children
Move down the right slope.
To the left, hazed in the tumbling air,
A thousand lights smudge
Within the branches of the old forest,
Like colored moons in a well of milk.

The sleds of the children
Make no sound on the hard-packed snow.
Their bright cries are not heard
On that strange hill.
The youngest are wrapped
In cloth of gold, and their scarfs
Have been dipped in blood.
All the others, from the son
Of Tegos, who is the Bishop
Of Black Church—near Tarn,
On to the daughter of the least slut,
Are garbed in love's shining dress;
Naked little eels, they flash
Across the amazed ice.
And behind each sled
There trots a man with his sex
Held like a whip in his snaking hand.

But no one sees the giant horse
That climbs the steps which stretch forth
Between the calling lights and that hill
Straight up to the throne of God.
He is taller than the highest tree
And his flanks steam under the cold moon.
The beat of his heart shakes the sky
And his reaching muzzle snuffles
At the most ancient star.

*

The innocent alone approach evil
Without fear; in their appointed flame
They acknowledge all living things.
The only evil is doubt; the only good
Is not death, but life. To be is to love.
This I thought as I stood while the snow
Fell in that bitter place, and the riders
Rode their motionless sleds into a nowhere
Of sleep. Ah, God, we can walk so easily,
Bed with women, do every business
That houses and roads are for, scratch
Our shanks and lug candles through
These caves; but, God, we can't believe,
We can't believe in anything.
Because nothing is pure enough.
Because nothing will ever happen
To make us good in our own sight.
Because nothing is evil enough.

*

I squat on my heels, raise my head
To the moon, and howl.
I dig my nails into my sides,
And laugh when the snow turns red.
As I bend to drink,
I laugh at everything that anyone loves.

All your damn horses climbing to heaven

Christmas Cabin Fever

Wear a brown hat like a snow-man
Sleep with the dogs in the snow
While the Northern Lights are turning
And the moon tells all she knows.

Tell me you’re not leaving
Tell me you’re content
But you’re shaking like a flower
So cold and oh so wet.

You’re my snow-storm baby
So out of touch
You’re so ruthless, baby
But the snowman has a crutch.

The children light their candles
Their daddy says his prayers
If dreams are just to bury
Tomorrow comes despair.

You don’t believe I love you
So discontent
But there’s a creature stirring
And the fire has been set.

You’re my snow-storm baby
But I still like your style
I’m your sled-dog, baby
And the snow-man wears a smile.

White Winter Gold..

I've been sitting and watching
as the kids from our town
take sleds up the hill
and sleigh ride back down..
from short ones to tall ones
from young kids to old
to them a big snow storm
is white winter gold...
Theres some building snowmen
some throwing snow balls..
others building snow forts
ignoring their mothers calls..
with their nose and cheeks
a bright ruby red,
and heads that are sweating
neith the caps on their head...
They just keep on sleighing
ice skating and stuff
making snow men and snow balls
They can't get enough..
I watch their parents build fires
that glow into the night
marsh mellows are roasting
It's a beautiful sight...
Time spent together
memories kept growing old..
are often the treasures
of finding white winter gold...

Heaven Meets Earth (in My Mind)

There is a place in my mind, where heaven meets earth
A place in my mind where love gives birth.
A love that’s put into our hearts from GOD above
And earths beauties, like a snow white dove.

Where the two can walk hand in hand
And against evil, they take their stand.
Love and beauty is what is shown
And in our minds, it is known.

Everything in life comes in twos
It is up to us what we use and choose
Heaven and earth, rich and poor,
Evil and good, male and female
This is the things that are real.

And if we use what the LORD provides
We can walk side by side.
It is not difficult to see
That this is the way GOD intended it to be.

The love between a man and a woman
As they walk hand in hand
Laughing, joking, and making plans.

Seeing children playing together.
You tell me! What can be better.
When an elderly couple can
still smile at each other
And acknowledge everyone
As their sister and brother.

The mind is truly where heaven meets earth
So let’s enjoy it all, and take it for what its worth.

Teddy Bear Christmas

All the teddy bears love the snow,
They are always ready with their sleds to go.
I love their spirit of adventure and play,
All their joy and love for boys and girls comes with a teddy bear hug.
Traveling to visit their friends,
The snow is coming down, it's almost Christmas Day.
I know they celebrate the holiday,
That is the teddy bear way.

Somewhere in the pines,
The Teddy Bear Christmas tree is all aglow,
Bright lights calling them to dance and sing.
It is a pretty sight to see.
They eat the candies and cakes,
Open Christmas presents they made.
Play games and sing,
Teddy Bear Christmas bells ring,

Bless all the teddy bears everywhere,
Teddy Bear Christmas is finally here.

Making a Snowman

’Tis snowing in the high mountains
Of great Himalayas:
This winter’s freezing ev’n fountains
Of Poonch, Kargil and Drass!

‘Tis raining flakes of harder snow;
All roads are covered white;
And every tree-top, twig, leaf, bough
Wears a glorious sight!

No blade of grass or bird is seen;
The meadow’s an ice-sheet;
Some Kashmiri children have been
Building a snow-man neat.

Yet, one can hear the booming guns
And smoke billowing up;
While children pile up snow in tons,
Before they go to sup.

With snow in handfuls, they build him:
Belly and head and back;
And soon their snow-man looks quite trim;
Twigs make his hands with knack!

They place a cap on his big head
And make his mouth, nose, eyes;
Their snow-man looks alive, not dead!
Assuming huge a size.

The happy children dance around
The snow-man, they had made;
They sing with joy some rhymes newfound;
Their snow-man looks so great!

Their hearts get filled with joy and thrill,
Seeing their snow-man made;
With snow-balls they play on the hill,
Before snow-man shall fade!

A Snowy Sunset

Snow Snow on the ground
Sun is sinking down down down
Trees trees covered in Wight
People gasp at the sight

Snow Snow on the ground
Animals scurry all around
Snow Snow in your hair
Stiffness and cold in the air

Snow Snow on the ground
People sledding down down down
Hot Coco and coffee inside
Why not go for another sled ride

Snow Snow on the ground
The sun has set past the ground
Lights light up the city bright
People every where say what a sight

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I've brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
When we finally kiss good night,
How I'll hate to go out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm!
Oh the fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing.
But as long as you love me so,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Go Down, Death

Weep not, weep not,
She is not dead;
She's resting in the bosom of Jesus.
Heart-broken husband--weep no more;
Grief-stricken son--weep no more;
Left-lonesome daughter --weep no more;
She only just gone home.

Day before yesterday morning,
God was looking down from his great, high heaven,
Looking down on all his children,
And his eye fell of Sister Caroline,
Tossing on her bed of pain.
And God's big heart was touched with pity,
With the everlasting pity.

And God sat back on his throne,
And he commanded that tall, bright angel standing at his right hand:
Call me Death!
And that tall, bright angel cried in a voice
That broke like a clap of thunder:
Call Death!--Call Death!
And the echo sounded down the streets of heaven
Till it reached away back to that shadowy place,
Where Death waits with his pale, white horses.

And Death heard the summons,
And he leaped on his fastest horse,
Pale as a sheet in the moonlight.
Up the golden street Death galloped,
And the hooves of his horses struck fire from the gold,
But they didn't make no sound.
Up Death rode to the Great White Throne,
And waited for God's command.

And God said: Go down, Death, go down,
Go down to Savannah, Georgia,
Down in Yamacraw,
And find Sister Caroline.
She's borne the burden and heat of the day,
She's labored long in my vineyard,
And she's tired--
She's weary--
Do down, Death, and bring her to me.

And Death didn't say a word,
But he loosed the reins on his pale, white horse,
And he clamped the spurs to his bloodless sides,
And out and down he rode,
Through heaven's pearly gates,
Past suns and moons and stars;
on Death rode,
Leaving the lightning's flash behind;
Straight down he came.

While we were watching round her bed,
She turned her eyes and looked away,
She saw what we couldn't see;
She saw Old Death. She saw Old Death
Coming like a falling star.
But Death didn't frighten Sister Caroline;
He looked to her like a welcome friend.
And she whispered to us: I'm going home,
And she smiled and closed her eyes.

And Death took her up like a baby,
And she lay in his icy arms,
But she didn't feel no chill.
And death began to ride again--
Up beyond the evening star,
Into the glittering light of glory,
On to the Great White Throne.
And there he laid Sister Caroline
On the loving breast of Jesus.

And Jesus took his own hand and wiped away her tears,
And he smoothed the furrows from her face,
And the angels sang a little song,
And Jesus rocked her in his arms,
And kept a-saying: Take your rest,
Take your rest.

Weep not--weep not,
She is not dead;
She's resting in the bosom of Jesus.

Father Winter

Welcome back home Father Winter
we have waited all year for you.
Your lovely trees, so tall
their branches now bare
they stand there waving you
back home you brought with you
your winter jewels, now they hang
on those naked branches.

The summer flowers, have
now laid down for a long winters
nap their waiting for you to cover
them with your winter blanket.

Your blanket will keep them
warm till spring then they'll
all pop up and sing.
Now all the small animals have
laid their heads down too sweet
dreams every thing will awake to
fresh new season.

You have dressed everything for
Christmas. your ice snow flakes
have landed on our pond it looks
looks like big white frosted glass
mirror it also created beautiful
glass like ornaments that
hang on the ever green trees.

Your cold fluffy snow lays upon
their branches it drapes like a
pearl necklace among their branches
they all look so lovely.

The winter clouds that you have blown
in float beneath the stars so bright
the full moon shines down upon the
hill tops all covered in your beauty.

The fresh snow glistens like stars
and silver gliter it looks like
millions of diamondseen have been
scattered on the beaten paths.
Your winter air smell so crisp
and cold as you speak, you can
see your breath in \the cold air
the only lights are from the new
full winter moon.

As you can see Father Winter has
blown, in with such briskness.
Every where you now look,
now looks bright and fresh.

Little children have started the
count down.To that special
night which is not to far off in sight.

And like ''SANTA'
You'll be gone, in the wink
of an eye.

We thank you for all the beauty
that you have given us, you'll
only last a while upon you I'll
walk a brisk mile.

We'll love you as long as you'll
last..Upon your snow we'll
dance and play.

We'll do this each cold day..
Until you melt away.
and then we'll say a sad good-bye.,

When Good Meets Evil

When good meets evil the world twist into one.
When good turns bad the earth is right again.
When your mean im nice and im sound.
You try to make the world go round.
When good meets evil the moon meets the sun.
When good meets evil life truly has become.
Real or Fake?
Nice or Mean?
Love is rough.
Love is dumb.
When good meets evil love has truly won.

Ashes on the Slide

When Jim and Bill and I were boys a many years ago,
How gayly did we use to hail the coming of the snow!
Our sleds, fresh painted red and with their runners round and bright,
Seemed to respond right briskly to our clamor of delight
As we dragged them up the slippery road that climbed the rugged hill
Where perched the old frame meetin'-house, so solemn-like and still.

Ah, coasting in those days--those good old days--was fun indeed!
Sleds at that time I 'd have you know were paragons of speed!
And if the hill got bare in spots, as hills will do, why then
We 'd haul on ice and snow to patch those bald spots up again;
But, oh! with what sad certainty our spirits would subside
When Deacon Frisbee sprinkled ashes where we used to slide!

The deacon he would roll his eyes and gnash his toothless gums,
And clear his skinny throat, and twirl his saintly, bony thumbs,
And tell you: 'When I wuz a boy, they taught me to eschew
The godless, ribald vanities which modern youth pursue!
The pathway that leads down to hell is slippery, straight, and wide;
And Satan lurks for prey where little boys are wont to slide!'

Now, he who ever in his life has been a little boy
Will not reprove me when he hears the language I employ
To stigmatize as wickedness the deacon's zealous spite
In interfering with the play wherein we found delight;
And so I say, with confidence, not unalloyed of pride:
'Gol durn the man who sprinkles ashes where the youngsters slide!'

But Deacon Frisbee long ago went to his lasting rest,
His money well invested in farm mortgages out West;
Bill, Jim, and I, no longer boys, have learned through years of strife
That the troubles of the little boy pursue the man through life;
That here and there along the course wherein we hoped to glide
Some envious hand has sprinkled ashes just to spoil our slide!

And that malicious, envious hand is not the deacon's now.
Grim, ruthless Fate, that evil sprite none other is than thou!
Riches and honors, peace and care come at thy beck and go;
The soul, elate with joy to-day, to-morrow writhes in woe;
And till a man has turned his face unto the wall and died,
He must expect to get his share of ashes on his slide!

Amazing Sights of Mt.Buller(near Aussie Melbourne))

As we reached the Horse Hill
amazing sights of snow-falls,
our searching eyes, filled.
The old and the kids
slide down in snowboards
on a small stretch of slopes.
Wonderful feasts of Nature
we enjoyed at Mt.Buller.
From the bottom of the snow-clad vale
I moved up in my snow walking boots.
In that awesome sunny day
my boots sank a bit in some places.
But the boys give the snow a good boot
catch the ice crystals and shoot them off.

Icicles hang from the roof-tops
of the restaurants, clinics and sheds.
On the branches of dead trees
snowy pythons are lying on them.
The children practise skiing
but the youths slide fast on the slopes,
swerve around and make ski-jumps off
on the thick layer of ice.
There was no bleak weather
to stop the old from sunning
by sitting on the icy terrain.

The skiers go to the top in ski-lifts
and skid down the hill in thrilling speed.
The skidded skiers are rushed to clinics.
The lovers get wet in the flakes of snow
by throwing handfuls of it on each other.
The cameras could take rest
only if the internal memory is full.
The sun glasses-wearing jolly fellows
walk over the snowline,
see the snow-capped peaks afar
and chase each other running on it.
Marvellous sights of parallel snowy roads
while climbing down were spectacles of beauty.

Death of Innocence

Far away from the demons and ghouls
Out of reach of those that trap the soul
In the sunlight, where all is safe
Where she can lay her head in peace
Here no harm dwells, here she is free
She is free to be who she was meant to be
Innocence, her hair down
Innocence, where no malice is found
Bright blue eyes, a welcoming smile
They make you want to stay awhile
Gentle hands that never hurt anyone
A heart that has no idea of the evil that is done
Her mind thinks of that which is only good
Not polluted by the curse of knowledge of evil and good
Her light summer dress floats in the breeze
The dream that we want to believe
But the Complication of simplification
Is simplification's prone to obliteration
Innocence, though she was meant to stay
Is too often torn away
Hark, who comes across the meadow
Who hath so many good things to endow?
Comes a knight in shining armour
Lucrative Gifts doth he bear
His familiar face allays her fear
His soothing voice calms her
Her closest friend, she draws near
A smile on her face, nothing to fear
His arms wrap around her slender form
Ever so slowly, their bodies now conform
He turns now and steps away
His back to her, in her place she stays
Till he turns around, his smile gone
Now a dagger in his hand
The flatter of a friend
The precursor of her bitter end
The lips she kissed are hard
A bolt of steel strikes her heart
Her white clothes now stain red
As now all her blood has bled
He looks her in the eye
And in a cold voice says goodbye
Her closest friend was her greatest enemy
God help us, it's too late to flee
Her eyes wide in shock
Innocence lost
Unexpected, her death, sudden and swift
The end of a life pure, sending the soul adrift
The questions she would never herself ask
Now come as she sees through his mask
Now under the guise of pretence
The death of Innocence.

Cold winter night

It was a cold winter night.
All was deadly still.
My guts so tight
I must kill!

The cry of a wolf enters my head
Like a train whistle that echoes far away.
Can it be…something lives on this winter night?
Follow the sound and pray
It does not go away.

My hunger juices flowing; I go.
I and the wolf both now know
Neither is alone in the land of snow.
Oh, how I wish I had his sight
On this cold winter night

The north wind moved in the night before.
The ground all snow and bitter cold…so bitter cold.
The sky filled with stars.
The snow grows old.
My guts so tight
What a cold, cold winter night!

The wolf stays hidden from my sight
With it’s furry coat of gray and white.
He glides across the snow without sound
Like a ballerina tiptoeing over the ground.
My guts so tight
On this bitter cold winter night

I with my blood running slow
My hands burning cold; my face red glow
Driven by the pain in my gut
On this cold-cold bitter winter night

I must kill
To make the night still
So the hunger pains
Will be gone again

I hear nothing on this cold winter night
My hair stands up on the back of my neck
I fear the wolf knows
I turn
Crutch to spring
His fangs showing white; my knife in my hand
We circle like two roosters in a pen.
For one this will be the end.
The pain in my gut is still tight
I will kill but not for the trill
On such a killing bitter cold winter night

With the grace of a cat he springs to flight
My throat his aim on this cold winter night
My knife hits his heart…he hunches in pain;
His fangs rip my throat cutting the jugular vein.
The snows now stain on this cold winter night.

Blood and flesh flung upon the snow
Cries of pain, moans of death…soon will go
From this bitter cold ground
All is still on winter’s playground.

The wolf dances no more
My lips move but there is no sound.
My gut is still tight
I feel alright
No more time to fight
On this bitter cold winter night

Wind and snow now fill the air.
The wolf has an empty den.
The snow will be tracked no more.

Twinkle, twinkle little star
Genocide complete
In a galaxy so far

Evil No. 2

They call me love
They call me dear
They kiss off and leave me
For their own career
I got a satellite dish, I'm all alone
With my little goldfish
And eminem, em on my headphones
You heard that yet? You will!
Selfish pigs put the blame on me
So hacked off what I came to be
I'm off the tracks
Now I'm all at sea
They like jogging more than they like me
I'm evil
Evil no.2
Then need to have something,
Becomes the seed to have anything
The lonely tears have dried up
And the brain cells start to fry
My heart cries out for new things
Turns to anything will do things
My left sides like a train crash
Form all the things I tried
I was so scared
I was lonely
I got mixed up
Now I'm only
I'm evil
Evil no.2
Mummy and daddy's on prozac
Said they're happy but
They won't be back
I hope they have a heart attack
'Cos of what they done to me
They left me for a wine bar
They left me for the wrong car
I dunno how I got this far
I'm evil
Evil no.2
Eminem ain't so far away from this
Mummy got a boyfriend
Daddy got a girlfriend
Gotta go away at weekends
I tell you what I'll do
Take every pill that I see
You can do what you want to me
I'm only trying to break free
From the evil that you do
I'm evil
Evil no.2

Song - Sea of Sand

You sent me to the moon
Across a silent sea of sand
I was reaching for your hand
But you were standing on a hill

You launched me to the moon
Across the wind between the stars
I was reaching through the sand
But I was fading out of view

I was just a photograph
An old fading black and white
Taken by a passer-by
When the sun was out of sight

You sent me to the moon
I caught the desolation bus
There was no-one there but us
I saw your shadow on the sand

You sent me to the moon
Down every road we’ve ever walked
Every place we strayed or talked
When we were higher than the wind

I went searching all the stars
Between the avenues and bars
You were everywhere I went
In a different universe

You sent me to the moon
Across the frozen wastes of old
Where the howling wind blew cold
Where I lost you in the snow

You sent me to the moon
Although I didn’t want to know
But I built myself a home
Between the rainbow and the stones

I was frozen to the bone
In the icy wind of truth
I was free and on my own
In my castle on the moon

You sent me to the moon
Across a silent sea of sand
I was reaching for your hand
But you were standing on a hill

Icey Holed Fishing!

Five pointed stars of icey snow, Gives
winter lovers a sudden happy glow! Snowballs
fly past heads ever alert, Even large
victim's are felled as well as tiny little
squirts! Of all this comes exclemations of
'Ouch that hurts! ' Snowmen are rolled from
hill to hill, A winter wonderland gives
a thrill and a chill! Ice skating and sleds
litter many the scene, These are colors of
white, but not of blue or green! Fishing is
over for the season, But holes drilled in
ice with poles and bait, is the sportman's
main manly reason! Ice fishing may seem so
cold, But for only the brave and the bold!
Summer's end is not the end, Snow can be
shoveled and moved, and even molded to bend!
11-29-2005'.

Her Name Was Snow (children s story)

There is a story that not many children know
Of a young girl - her name was snow.
She would come down - you know not when
But she would become every child s friend.

Children would say that she was
“ as white- as white can be”.
And the suns reflections would dazzle me.

She could make herself “ a blanket on the ground”
Where children could roll and jump on her
And she would not make a sound.

Snow would only come in the winter months.
So that with her the children could play
She was very cold, but they loved her that way.
You could mold her like you would
A piece of clay, and that is the way
That she would stay.

You could make her as an igloo or
A very high wall, or roll her up and
Make her a ball.
There was so many things that you
Could make her to be.
but the thing that she wanted to be the most
Was a white sparkling ghost.
Where she could come when she liked
And the children could have a “snow” ball fight.

So children! When you don’t see snow
coming your way, then wish for her on Christmas day.
