Cruel to hunt live hogs
fertilise into garden green
Hedge over neighbours

Before The Fair

'Lost,' 'lost,' the beeves and the bullocks,
The cattle men sell and buy,
Crowded upon the fair green,
Low to the lightless sky.

'Live,' 'live,' and 'Here,' 'here,' the blackbird
From the top of the bare ash-tree,
Over the acres whistles
With beak of yellow blee.

And climbing, turning, and climbing
His little stair of sound,
'Content,' 'content,' from the low hedge
The redbreast sings in a round.

And I who hear that hedge-song
Will fare with all the rest,
With thoughts of lust and labour,
And bargain in my breast.

The bare hedge bright with rain-drops
That have not fallen down,
The golden-crowded whin-bush
Nor know these things my own!

I Plucked A Rose From A Garden Green......

By Murtaza Abt

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
Of beauty never felt or seen,
Hoping that it would never wilt,
And always be as always been.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
with a happy blissful heart,
And promised i would hold it tight,
And never would we part.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
But little did i know,
That not in endless love and care,
But gardens do they grow.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And took it home with me,
But little did it stay the way,
The way t'was meant to be.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to grieve,
Over gardens green and meadows lush,
As it was sad to leave.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to wilt,
And wither in that unknown land,
it filled my heart with guilt.

I plucked a rose from a garden green,
And it began to die,
For happiness i had only asked,
But i began to cry.

....................................

I have p L ucked y O u from a garden green,
Your beauty i VE never felt or seen,
Hoping that YOU will never wilt,
And always be as always been.

The Dunnocks Nest

A memory from the past I still recall
In the box hedge by the old garden wall
I saw two male dunnocks and a hen
Fly out of hedge and then with food fly in.

I heard their little nestlings for food cry
And I with the curiosity of a boy
Peered in the hedge a moss built cup shaped nest I see
With pink skinned nestlings in it I counted three.

To the ways of Nature I was young and green
And I marvelled at the wonder I had seen
Three blind and pink skinned nestlings the shy dunnock's brood
Thought I too was a carer with some food.

With their tiny mouths wide open for food they did plead
And when I did not satisfy their greed
They slumped back in their nest as in a heap
And within a few minutes were asleep.

It must have been close to fifty years ago
Yet of Nature little I still seem to know
But such a precious memory bound to stay
With me until the reaper has his way.

And Why not for M 'lady Tara

On the outskirts of the city
There’s a place that’s very pretty.
A semi rural paradise
for those who can afford the price.
A small elite community
where the norm’s eccentricity.
If you should choose to garden nude
your neighbours would not think you rude.
The watchword here is tolerance
It would not rate a second glance
From neighbours who were passing by.
Although some might wonder why.
You choose to garden in the nude
because you want to they conclude.

My Childhood Garden

my childhood garden

my childhood garden
lush and green
it was so happy it made me scream
my joy and hopes
and all my mopes
my childhood garden

my childhood garden
with the ups and downs
when i jumped i could not touch the ground
with my purle ponys
it made it homey
my childhood garden

my childhood garden
flying high
with the little lies
the grass fine
up in the sky my kite
my childhood garden

my childhood garden
now in the past
i now know that it can never last
now as i get taller
it was differnt when i was smaller
my childhood garden

Motive

The green garden and the blue lover!
The love of your blues over the flowers;
But wash yourself separately for the first time.
Look beyond personality and learn a lot,
For the first time can change many things!
And like your sweet muse in the green garden.
Measure yourself by the things you value in this life,
For there is a difference between abuse and discipline;
And like the motive of your love in this garden.
The right choice is now with your integrity,
So do make sure that he or she is a moral person;
And like the muse of your sweet love in the green garden.

Cruel Summer

Dans la chaleur de la nuit qui s'enroule tout autour de moi
Je marche seule sans savoir pourquoi tu n'es plus l
Ca tourne dans ma tte
Et tout s'arrte
Ta voix me parle tout bas
Je ne sais plus o j'en suis, je ne vois plus que toi
It's a cruel, cruel summer
C'est fini
Tu n'es qu'un rve qui s'enfuit
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one
The city is crowed
My friends are away
And I'm on my own
It's too handle
So I've got to get up and go
It's a cruel, cruel summer
C'est fini
Tu n'es qu'un rve qui s'enfuit
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one
It's a cruel, cruel summer
C'est fini
Tu n'es qu'un rve qui s'enfuit
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one
Cruel summer, it's a cruel summer Cruel summer, it's a cruel summer
It's a cruel, cruel summer
C'est fini
Tu n'es qu'un rve qui s'enfuit
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one
Cruel summer, it's a cruel summer Cruel summer, it's a cruel summer
It's a cruel, cruel summer
C'est fini
Tu n'es qu'un rve qui s'enfuit
It's a cruel, cruel summer
Now you're gone
You're not the only one
It's a crue , cruel summer, c'est fini

The Unforgiven Hunt

I shouldn't be telling you this
No one should be telling you this, but
Only a few people even know
About the time of the Unforgiven Hunt-
We are on the Unforgiven Hunt, so I should tell you
I can't even tell you
What the Hunt is about
And why it is called just that-
The Hunt
But I just told you
That the Hunt is called the Hunt
For a reason-
So now I should tell you the whole story
How we came to this point
Why our features stand out
In the whole world, all the countries
First, we were like all the others
Down-to-earth, forgiving, out loud
Sharing all our secrets
But now the Hunt people regret
That we came this far
We came this far, we broke our friendship apart
Now we are on the Unforgiven Hunt
The time of the Hunt started at the time of the Hunt
No one really knows
When it was, what it was that unbalanced the scale
Of life and death-
But we are on the Unforgiven Hunt
We started the Unforgiven Hunt by saying,
"We have to increase our lifestyle, then we'll stop"
But over time, it grew to be our hobby
Beating other countries
In machines, in factories and greed
In food, in water and high standards
In shelter, in organizing, in need
We are still on the Unforgiven Hunt

Green Rose

Green represents fresh and paradise
As fresh as the first dew on the green leaf
As beautiful as green rose in the paradise

You are the green rose planted in the world
A touch of heaven that I shouldn’t keep
Human only life will suffering
To want something he doesn’t deserve

I should put you back where you belong
At the green holy garden in paradise
But the taste of your honey kissable lips
Drunk me to the hole of unconsciousness

While keeping the sin of paradise
The gods look for something lose
They find me in the peak of joyful dream
Take it rudely without mercy

Even if human has right to say something
They still decide everything on their own
My voice only drowns in the cold night
Defeated in the cruel hands of irrevocable fate

How Green

How green is your valley
How lush is your path to your garden of love
Is it overshadowed by the cross of persecution

How green is your memory
Is it poverty and ruin choked with weeds of despair
Is it blossoms of peace and pleasures
Beyond which there is none to compare

How green is your table
Is it filled with delights of wicked consumption
Is it dangled on meat from the hook in your lair
From that insidious malicious sinister dare

Money
How green
How green
How green
How green is your tomorrow
How green is your eternity
How green
Or is it black and white

I Hunt

I hunt.
For specific kinds of meat.
I hunt.
To feed that desire within me I seek.

I hunt.
I do not keep my needs a secret.
I do not wish to discreet them in any way.
I hunt.

I want this known.
I want it easy for the meat,
To be captured and seasoned.
With a sauté done to taste.

And delayed at a minimum wait.

I hunt.
For specific kinds of meat.
I hunt.
To feed that desire within me I seek.

I hunt.
To satisfy what it is I do.
And grunt...
Sometimes,
Just before the morning dew appears.

Edgar Lee Masters

Lydia Puckett

Knowlt Hoheimer ran away to the war
The day before Curl Trenary
Swore out a warrant through Justice Arnett
For stealing hogs.
But that's not the reason he turned a soldier.
He caught me running with Lucius Atherton.
We quarreled and I told him never again
To cross my path.
Then he stole the hogs and went to the war --
Back of every soldier is a woman.

Song- I'd be a Fairy King

Oh, I'd be a Fairy King,
With my vassals brave and bold;
We'd hunt all day,
Through the wildwood gay,
In our guise of green and gold;
And we'd lead such a merry, merry life,
That the silly, toiling bee,
Would have no sweet
In its dull retreat,
So rich as our frolic glee.
I'd be a Fairy King,
With my vassals brave and bold;
We'd hunt all day,
Through the wildwood gay,
In our guise of green and gold.

At night, when the moon spake down,
With her bland and pensive tone,
The fairest Queen
That ever was seen
Would sit on my pearly throne;
And we'd lead such a merry, merry life,
That the stars would laugh in show'rs
Of silver light,
All the summer night,
To the airs of the passing Hours.
I'd be a Fairy King,
With my vassals brave and bold;
We'd hunt all day
Through the wildwood gay,
In our guise of green and gold.

We'd talk with the dainty flow'rs,
And we'd chase the laughing brooks;
My merry men,
Through grove and glen,
Would search for the mossy nooks;
And we'd be such a merry, merry band,
Such a lively-hearted throng,
That life would seem
But a silvery dream
In the flowery Land of Song.
I'd be a Fairy King,
With my vassals brave and bold;
We'd hunt all day,
Through the wildwood gay,
In our guise of green and gold.

Hunting

'Where 'she said
'does love live? '

Is it in your eyes?
I have looked there;

I look there every day.

Is it in your heart?

I know it beats
but some days
it is so faint;

In your mind?

That is opaque.

Tell me where does your love for me live?

I said
'I am taught
that deeds and providing
are where my love shows;

in being sure everyone here is safe
and that there is enough
for what everyone wants or needs.

I am not good at flowery words;
at affection even.

I wish I were better.
for you.
What about you?

Where does your love for me live? '

She said
'It is everywhere with me
in my heart, it pounds you know still
for you.
In the house.
I place my love in flower vases
in the vacuum cleaner;
in dinner
in the wine served.
In my thoughts and emotions.

I remember everything
we've ever done.

He said:
I wish I had that ability you have.

I think I am made for the hunt.

But now
there is no hunt.

Yes I Can

so they say that a man
cant live in this world
if he's wearing his heart on his sleeve
i can
and they say that a man
cant understand
what a woman needs when she cries
i can
i can
and i can see you standing
in the yard
tending the rosas in your garden
the sun is shining
through your cotton dress
and i will freeze this moment
here in time
i could live forever
in your garden
oh, yes
yes i can
the fool dosent know
what he's missin the most
its a ______ and a place to be in
here i am
how would i know
i could give up the ghost
and still hold all your dreams in my hand
here i am
here i am
and i can see you standing
in the yard
tending the rosas in your garden
the wind is blowing
through your golden hair
and i will freeze this moment
here in time
i could live forever
in your garden
oh, yes
yes i can
and i can see her standing
in the yard
tending the rosas in your garden
the sun is shining
through your cotton dress
and i will freeze this moment
here in time
i could live forever
in your garden
oh, yes
yes i can
and i can be your man
yes i can
