An Apology on Behalf of the Human Race
As the dignity of the human spirit never waned
In the forlorn look on the Jewish face and their race
As endured thru decades of the slime of degradation
By Gestapo secret police who had no secrets of their damned intent
To build camps on foundations deep in the abyss of hell
Clogged with a dismal cast of human expiration
The devils cloud desecrates the sky of star witness
Above the dead end train stop of Auschwitz
The Fuehrer’s anti -semenistic breath bred life into his monster web
And the tribe followed.
To dwell on the horror which is well documented I decline
But
I Apologise on Behalf of the Human Race
I apologise from the bottom of my heart
I apologise for all those lies
I apologise for closed doors
I apologise for closed eyes
How on earth could the Holocaust happen?
Lest We Forget

Apologise
How can you apologise
when you’re not sure
what you’re apologising for.
My intentions have never been
to worry people that something
in my life is going wrong.
Too many times I write poems,
others see are so heartfelt,
that they immediately write
to me asking if everything is OK.
It is nice for them to be so concerned,
and I feel that I must apologise,
if some how I’ve led them to believe
my life is a bit battered and worn,
and that my marriage
is under some kind of storm.
My marriage is rock solid
as it has always been.
As for my life,
I think we all have had
our ups and downs.
I may stand under a rain cloud
a lot of the times,
but I have no intentions
of doing anything silly,
and self-destruction is just not me.
In my life, I have weathered many storms,
and I’ll weather more as they come along.
So please don’t worry about me.
If I have a problem,
I know that there are a lot of you
out there that I can talk to.
Now I want to apologise
if I have somehow put some of you,
through any needless stress,
for it has never been my intention
to cause anyone any harm.
I love you all too much,
to ever want to make you cry.
So, save your tears for someone else,
who is much more deserving than I.

Brief Homosexual Encounter
Walking by the Serpentine,
Kicking my feet through the autumn leaves,
Suddenly aware there's someone following,
Squaddie on leave, he pins me to a tree,
'Don't be afraid! ' he says, but he can plainly see
The anger in my eyes. Apologise! Apologise!
So he turns and stumbles away,
Another person you would all despise,
And hangs his head and cries.

Hand In Hand
No, dont ask me to apologise.
I wont ask you to forgive me.
If Im gonna go down,
Youre gonna come with me
You say why dont you be a man about it,
Like they do in the grown-up movies?
But when it comes to the other way around,
You say you just wanna use me. oh,
You and you wonder whether
Its gonna be syndicated.
You sit with your knees together.
All the time your breath is baited.
Hand in hand.
No, dont ask me to apologise.
I wont ask you to forgive me.
If Im gonna go down,
Youre gonna come with me
Dont you know I got the bully boys out
Changing someones facial design,
Sitting with my toy room lout,
Polishing my precious china
Dont you know Im an animal?
But dont you know I cant stand up steady?
But you can show me any kind of hell
That I dont know already.
Hand in hand.
No, dont ask me to apologise.
I wont ask you to forgive me.
If Im gonna go down,
Youre gonna come with me
Hand in hand, hand in hand, hand in hand...

A Male Chauvinist Pig
Please don't ask me to apologise,
I've seen right through your lying eyes,
You've spread your legs for a lot of guys,
So please don't ask me to apologise!
And put a stop to those crocodile tears,
No tart's as innocent as she appears -
A slapper's attractive after four or five beers,
So put a stop to your crocodile tears!
You'd like to think you've got me taped,
You'd like to pretend that you'd been raped,
I'm really glad that I've escaped
Though you liked to think you'd got me taped!
I'm getting old and a little bit wise.
And I feel no pity when a prostitute cries,
I've seen right through your lying eyes,
Excuse me now while I do up my flies! !

My Friend
'Til the end...
'Til the end...
Verse 1
My friend, Kelly's got a problem in her life
She's got a man who doesn't love her
And never treats her right
Now he hits her and he beats her
And nearly took her life
And now she's lying in a hospital bed
And all I can do is cry
Chorus
She was my friend
'Til the end
There's no-one better than her
She was always there
'Til the end
There was no need to apologise
She never did nothing
She was my friend
'Til the end
Verse 2
My friend, Jamie, he'd never had a fight
He was the sweetest kind of guy
He could always make me smile
Then he caught the street life
And he started selling drugs
Then they found him in a puddle
And it was no love
Chorus
He was my friend
'Til the end
There's no-one better than him
He was always there
'Til the end
There was no need to apologise
He never did nothing to me
He was my friend
'Til the end
Middle 8
You gotta love yourself
Hold youself
Squeeze yourself
Kiss yourself
And never let nobody
Else come disrespect yourself
Life is short and life is good
And life is sweet
But you never know
When life will come and pull you off your feet
You only get one chance
You gotta take it
If you believe in you
You're gonna make it
Whenever things go wrong
Now you can make it right
Don't ever let no-one
No-one control your life
Chorus
He was my friend
'Til the end
There's no-one better than him
He was always there
'Til the end
There was no need to apologise
She never did nothing to me
She was my friend
'Til the end
He was my friend
She was my friend
'Til the end
'Til the end
'Til the end

Love Is Better Than A Warm Trombone
*love is better than a warm trombone, when blown, softly by a two tone, brother
*down on luck by chance, caress her head off at the boogaloo trance
With his hands in his pocket he could not lie
With his hands in his pocket he began to cry
With his hands in his pocket he lowered his eye
*he said miss I guess I ought to apologise, Ive been fallin, Im falling down
The river of your lovelorn souls is getting deeper than the deepest dish washing bowl
*now brother get the dirt off your hands, its getting darker than a sun-chasers the sun tan
With his hands in his pockethe could not lie
With his hands in his pockethe began to cry
With his hands in his pockethe lowered his eyes
*he said miss, I guess I ought to apologise, Ive been fallin, Im falling down
With his hands in his pockethe began to cry
With his hands in his pockethe could not lie
With his hands in his pockethe lowered his eyes
*he said miss, I guess I ought to apologise, Ive been fallin, Im falling down

On My Knees
CHORUS
I can't fall down on my knees
And apologise to you
Cos that ain't my style
VERSE 1
I remember how we met,
It was on the train
How could I forget?
You smiled and you looked at me
The soft of your lips, it captured me
The whole ride down we kept our eyes on each other
And then we sat down together
You gave me your number,
Said Give me a call
I thought I wouldn't call at all
Here we are, fell in love
Like hand to glove
Pure bliss from above
Now all we seem to do is fuss and fight
We never seem to get it right
CHORUS
I can't fall down on my knees
And apologise to you
Cos that ain't my style (x2)
VERSE 2
I remember the night when we were home alone
You were on the sofa, I was on the phone
You overheard me call out my best friend's name
That's when you went crazy, started going insane
Grabbed the phone from my hand,
Backed me against the wall
Shouting and asking
Who was on the call?
You wouldn't believe me
When I said it's just a friend
That's when all the matters began
CHORUS
I can't fall down on my knees
And apologise to you
Cos that ain't my style (x2)
MIDDLE 8 (x2)
He's got you begging on your knees,
Crying in your sleep
Making you believe him
But you're stronger
Than you'll ever know, girl
You control your own world
No need to take no more
GHOSTFACE KILLAH-
And yo' I asked you to calm down
Asked you who was on the phone put the horn down
You had a glass of wine a Versace night gown, a lime green one
That I brought you for the trip from the cruise you won,
I don't approve of those male friends, (no)
I told you back then when we first got together, I don't trust those men
And you did it again I lost my temper, blinked out and wrecked the house boo
That's all I remember, I'm sorry

My Uncomfortable Skin
I observe Rajang,
Enclosed in space,
Rugged Orangutan,
Face to face.
Nonchalantly you inspect,
Stroll towards myself,
We reflect.
Gazing deep, searching souls inner,
Your so beautiful
And me...I'm the sinner.
Inwardly I apologise,
Through embarrassed eyes,
That I am here
Free in.. humane,
Useless thoughts.... in vain.
Audience akin
Your rusted fur
My uncomfortable skin.
Hatred for my peers,
Thirty-nine years wasted yet you amaze,
Attentive gaze,
Foraging stare... so aware,
Soul searching.
For you are the wise old man of Borneo,
Majestic aura, emotions I'll never know,
Yet you and I stand opposed at your enclosure,
Questioning each others composure.
Hands splayed, touch mentally through glass,
Clinically cool, my breaths, I gasp.
Deeply now we analyse,
Through moment shared, emphatically I apologise.
As I am affected, beyond belief
Benevolent thoughts, whilst I bereif.
'I'm so sorry' I whisper
Adding a smear,
Warm breath, cold glass
... Followed by a tear.

Camp Zero
They came
Those people we had known
With strange looks within their eyes
Some of them
Said 'sorry'
But they'd not apologise
They said they had a mission
And that they had had to choose
They said that they were Germans
While we were merely Jews
They took us to the station
They helped us on those trains
They said that they would write to us
But never did again
So, were they evil in intent?
Did they know what would transpire?
Did they ever question motives
Did they know of oven fires?
There was a blindness then in Gernany
And a deafness too as well
When the innocent amongst us
Were consigned to live in hell.

That’s Life
What do you honestly expect of me
after I was treated so outrageously?
You took my love then called me names
and used me for your selfish games.
And now you're trying to apologise,
with your silver tongue and ‘come on’ eyes.
You’re wasting my time and your breath,
so screw you, and your deceitfulness.
As far as I’m concerned you got your prize
by seducing me and telling lies,
but one day you’ll reap what you sow;
that’s how life’s is you know!

(ferry)
Couldnt sleep a wink last night
Oh how id love to hold you tight
They say you have a secret life
Made sacrifice your key to paradise
Never mind, take the world by storm
Just boogaloo a rhapsody divine
Take a sweet girl just like you
How nice if only we could bill and coo
I may seem a fool to you for evrything I say or think or do
How could I apologise for all those lies
The world may keeps us far apart but up in heaven, angel
You can have my heart
Diamonds may be your best friend
But like laughter after tears
Ill follow you to the end

Stormy Weather
Walk! The swarm of locusts has arrived.
Sticking to the city of God I march and run,
Towards the storm so much like a tornado
I run and chase so that I am tired.
They carry us away, the gods do!
In front of our eyes we apologise,
Yet alas the fortune is not on us
From all quarters of the heavens
And from all quarters of the earth.
Some pleasure is at cost for we observe
The realities of so much audacity.
Now walk and walk to see a typhoon,
One of them dancing, one so destructive;
It is hideous to see such human suffering,
A loathsome feeling arrives at my bedroom,
To sway is to swing like the stormy weather.

Smart Like Camus
All my life I felt I should apologise
because I’m smart.
Like Camus,
as though my intelligence
was an insult to someone.
I’m not that smart you know
it’s an act.
When I stand in front
and you see smartness,
you reflect.
All it is,
is hunger.

A Poisoned Chalice (a sonnet)
Please don't pretend to apologise!
Wipe those crocodile tears from your eyes!
You spread your legs for those other guys
And I'm just the one that you despise!
It's me that's the victim of your lies
And you're so innocent, surprise, surprise! !
You've led me quite a merry dance
And looking back I didn't stand a chance,
You must have thought that I was blind
Being 'so sensitive and kind'.
I was a fool in my infatuation
And, no doubt, I deserve this humiliation,
Hoping, of course, you'll rot in hell
And all your faithless lovers as well! !

Early Works - Race For Space
In long corridors of time and space
linger men caught within a race
to get to the stars and back
gaining knowledge that they lack.
Opening door yet unknown to man
finding things untouchable by hand,
but what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.
Astronauts fly into outer space
helping these men caught within this race
to find the difficult answer
of how to conquer
the unknown out there
far aloft from our atmosphere,
and what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.
Through the decades, men have pondered
what ship could be propelled
to visit plants and stars
like Jupiter and mars,
and break from earth’s gravity
from which we’re held,
but what will happen to the human race
when someone wins the race for space.

Giants
Feed on and on as a rich reasonable friend,
My action centres on your betrayal, O fiend.
We apologise and rehearse our demise,
Though think of that which benefits and pleads
The sole cause and contentment of a minority.
Big people need bigger powers to win.
