Be Young ... Life is short
The years pass as quick as we grow old
Grow old my foot as I might say so bold,
Speak for yourself [that voice in my head]
Don’t listen to what your brain is fed,
There is no excuse for being old today
Then wearing a ‘T’ shirt that doth say,
‘I’m retired an’ know a lot old and new
I’ve lots of time to tell it all to you’.
So its walks and yoga every day
Exercise and vegies keeps you from fading away,
Growing old is a war we all know that
Give in to nought and you’ll just get fat
Think young act young be young,
Life is short, we all die young!

When One Is Young
When one is young,
Growing seems so slow...
The days go on forever.
And the nights are there to never,
Appear to go.
When one is young,
It seems no one will listen...
The adults seem to dismiss,
Whatever the young wants to know.
When,
One is young...
They think that they can get,
Anything that they wish.
No matter who delivers..
They want it quick.
And when one is young...
Life is not so precious.
And patience is not there...
When one is young.
When one is young...
Today they live with pressures,
To be more than expected.
And choose to be correct...
Without direction there!
When one is young...
Today they live with pressures,
To be more than expected.
And choose to be correct...
Without direction there!
When one is young...
Today they live with pressures,
To be more than expected.
Without direction there!

Young Man
Written by james young
Lead vocals by james young
People say with age there comes experience
But as soon as you are born you start to die
Older men are chosen to speak wisely
But call the child to the sacrificial rite
Who can we get to win the fight?
Young man!
Who can we get to make love all night?
Young man!
Who do we send away to die?
Young man!
I heard a lonely woman cry for a
Young man!
The fire bombs in distant lands are burning
Jarring every synapse in your soul
Life and death are a meaningless profession
Tomorrow brings a horror yet untold
Who can we get to win the fight?
Young man!
Who can we get to make love all night?
Young man!
Who do we send away to die?
Young man!
I heard a lonely woman cry for a
Young man!
Young man!
Young man!
Come home my son
We'll give you a rest
Welcome my son
We'll give you the best
Time's stowaway
The young man
Short are the days
Of the young man
Young man!
Young man!

Only The Young
I havent listened to a word youve said
Ive been wandering inside my head
Dont care what you think of me
You only see what you want to see
So here I am in my paradise
In my heaven everything is alright
Only the young stay young I said
Speaks the kid inside my head
Only the young stay young inside
Only the young - only the young
Only the young - only the young
Ive been around for a long time
Losing my way but not my mind
So I drink and play you along
But who cares when the fire burns on
So Im out here in my paradise
Its my heaven and it feels so right
Only the young stay young I said
Speaks the kid inside my head
Only the young stay young inside
Only the young stay young I said
Speaks the kid inside my head
Only the young stay young at heart
Only the young - only the young
Only the young - only the young
Live your life - in this time
Weve only today - drink lifes wine
Dont be fooled
Dont believe what they say
Dont believe what they say
I havent listened to a word youve said
Say what you like
Youre not in my head
Time goes with each breath we take
It rules the world the day we awake
So here I sit here in my paradise
Dont give a damn everything is alright

Forever Young (Bob Dylan)
May god bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young

Forever Young
(r. stewart/j.cregan/k.savigar)
May the good lord be with you
Down every road you roam
And may sunshine and happiness
Surround you when youre far from home
And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As youd have done to you
Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart youll always stay
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
With a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young, forever young
Forever young, forever young
Forever young
Forever young
And when you finally fly away
Ill be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose
Im right behind you, win or lose
Forever young, forever young
Forever young ,forever young
Forever young, forever young
For, forever young, forever young

Grow Young
Sitting here on the waters edge
Now that the storm is gone
First time in years it feels like
Nothings wrong
Thereve been a lot of changes
I was so lost for a while
Sitting here I remember
How its easy to smile
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young
Nobody to tell me where to go
Nobody to call
Just me and the kiskedees
And my guitar
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young
Gotta try to remember this feeling
Gotta store it up inside
Bring it out when its cold in the city
And Im worried and tired
Oh let me grow young
Like a brand new day
Like Ive just begun
Like a shiver like a rush
Like a soul I might touch
Let me grow young

I Believe
When I was young and full of grace
And spirited--a rattlesnake.
When I was young and fever fell
My spirit, I will not tell
Youre on your honor not to tell
I believe in coyotes and time as an abstract
Explain the change, the difference between
What you want and what you need, theres the key,
Your adventure for today, what do you do
Between the horns of the day?
I believe my shirt is wearing thin
And change is what I believe in
When I was young and give and take
And foolish said my fool awake
When I was young and fever fell
My spirit, I will not tell
Youre on your honor, on your honor
Trust in your calling, make sure your callings true
Think of others, the others think of you
Silly rule golden words make, practice practice makes perfect,
Perfect is a fault, in fault lies change
I believe my humors wearing thin
And change is what I believe in
I believe my shirt is wearing thin
And change is what I believe in
When I was young and full of grace
As spirited a rattlesnake
When I was young and fever fell
My spirit, I will not tell
Youre on your honor not to tell
I believe in example
I believe my throat hurts
Example is the checker to the key
I believe my humors wearing thin
And I believe the poles are shifting
I believe my shirt is wearing thin
And change is what I believe in

Young Butterflies
Young butterflies,
Please, let your tender wings grow
Before you try to hit the skies
In an attempt to early fly
When the time is not right!
Scared to Hell you would be
If this dangerous endeavor
You would desperately try
When the time
Doesn't seem to be right!
Take my advice
Young butterflies,
I, the humble gardener
Who in my colorful garden
Have seen many like you
Trying to fly for the first time,
Defying the rules of gravity
When the time is not right!
Young butterflies,
Listen to the echo of the wind
And let Mother Nature
Takes its course!
While happily you welcome
The birth of a new sunrise
That would bring hope
To your tender life!
Young butterflies,
Let your wings grow
Until they are ready to flap
And you would be able to fly
And dance in the skies!
Please, young butterflies,
Listen to my humble advice!
Wishing you luck in your first flight!

Young Love
There are times - when you know
Love is lost to he who hesitates and you've got that
Feeling now you know it too well
Say o.k. - to your dreams
Never let that chance go by again
If it's love you need then listen and listen well
You've got to run like a young love
You've got to love like young love
Believe me you'll be a young love
You don't need to be anymore
You can think like a young love
Be strong like a young love
You can run like a young love
You don't need to be anymore
Live it now - everyday
'cos you know there is no better way
And in time you'll understand it's all in your heart
Lightning strikes - in the rain
But you know inside you're strong again
You can hear the thunder roll
But you stand apart
You've got to run like a young love
You can love like young love
Believe me you'll be a young love
You don't need to be anymore
As long as you think like a young love
Be strong like a young love
You can run like a young love
You don't need to be anymore

My time is short.
My time is short I'm growing old.
The years pass by so speedily
Each day is worth much more than gold.
I greet each morning thankfully.
But time moves on remorselessly
.Although my memories enfold
My youthful days effortlessly.
My time is short I'm growing old.
Long ago when young and bold
I faced the future fearlessly
Perceptions changed as I grew old.
The years pass by so speedily.
I made my way successfully
And I grew rich as I grew old.
But life experience has taught me
Each day is worth much more than gold.
Time - cannot be bought or sold.
Time must onward steadily.
As the passing years unfold
I greet each morning thankfully
I've learned the only certainty.
Applying to both young and old
Both must accept reality.
My future can now be foretold.
My time is short Monday,16 April 2012

All The Young (People Of Today)
Young girls
Not so innocent
Will give you wide eyes
Will show you knowing smiles
Young men
An air of independence
Will take you at their leisure
They live for pleasure
All the young people of today
Young girls
An air of mystery
Are dreaming from their towers
They smell of flowers
Young men
They can do anything
They are set to win
With unmatched power
All the young people of today

Brittle Bones
Though I am an old man
With my bones very brittle,
Though I am a poor old man
Worth very little,
Yet I suck at my long pipe
At peace in the sun,
I do not fret nor much regret
That my work is done.
If I were a young man
With my bones full of marrow,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
Straight as an arrow,
And if I had the same years
To live once again,
I would not change their simple range
Of laughter and pain.
If I were a young man
And young was my Lily,
A smart girl, a bold young man,
Both of us silly.
And though from time before I knew
She'd stab me with pain,
Though well I knew she'd not be true,
I'd love her again.
If I were a young man
With a brisk, healthy body,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
With love of rum toddy,
Though I knew that I was spiting
My old age with pain,
My happy lip would touch and sip
Again and again.
If I were a young man
With my bones full of marrow,
Oh, if I were a bold young man
Straight as an arrow,
I'd store up no virtue
For Heaven's distant plain,
I'd live at ease as I did please
And sin once again.

Messiahs Die Young
All of those things that I wanted to say
Well you can take those things and throw them all away- hey hey
Because he who points the finger well only he gets hung
That's why I don't to be a messiah, messiahs die young
All of those things that I wanted to be
Well you can take those things and throw them back at me- he he
Because he is only just as good as he who is the one
That's why I don't to be a messiah, messiahs die young
Messiahs die young.
Messiahs die young!
They die young,
Messiahs die young!
Messiahs die young.
Messiahs die young!
They die young.
Messiahs!
Why get in line if you don't want to wait
They say that time is money-- sell your watch today, hey hey
And if you've never been to China well the slow boat leaves at one
That's why I don't want to be a messiah, messiahs die
I don't want to be a messiah, messiahs die
I don't want to be a messiah! I just want to have fun
Not die young.
Messiahs die young!
They die young.
Messiahs die young!
Messiahs die young.
Messiahs die young!
Messiahs die young.

Too Young For Love
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Tell reddening rose-buds not to blow
Wait not for spring to pass away,--
Love's summer months begin with May!
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Too young? Too young?
Ah, no! no! no!
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so,
To practise all love learned in May.
June soon will come with lengthened day
While daisies bloom and tulips glow!
Too young for love?
Ah, say not so!
Too young? Too young?
Ah, no! no! no!

The Young Ones
The young ones,
Darling were the young ones,
And young ones shouldnt be afraid.
To live, love
While the flame is strong,
For we wont be the young ones very long.
Tomorrow,
Why wait till tomorrow,
Tomorrow sometimes never comes.
Love, me,
Theres a song to be sung
And the best time is to sing while were young.
Once in every lifetime
Comes a love like this.
I need you and you need me.
Oh my darling cant you see.
Young dreams
Should be dreamed together,
Young hearts shouldnt be afraid.
And some day when the years have flown
Darling, this will teach the young ones of our own.
The young ones
Darling, were the young ones
The young ones
Darling, were the young ones.
