Long to See Home

I sit here and listen
to each story told
and hear of tropical island breeze
that make the palm trees
sway in its wake
and white beachs glemming
Where the waves
lap against its shores
I long to see
were I can place my hand
and run sand in my hand
seeing the deep blue lagoons
that hide the oceans life
Taste the fruits
that are abundance galore
to see the colours of rainbows
of flowers that spread
across its shores
I sit and sigh
and think will I see
those wonderful sites
Will I see the beauty
of the home were
my parents use to roam
as children of old
and hear the legends
being told by the camp fire site
Will I ever get to see
the moon shine its light
by the beautiful shores
of my parents home
Will I ever see their home
I sigh with a dreamy eye
thinking one day I just might

Embrace the golden rose of hope
Sea gulls glide by shores of beauty
Tides role with joy and laughter
Children play in the bright new day

I write your name in the sacred sand
When we are long gone it will remain
True hearts never really part do they?
All that is gone will soon shine on

I feel you more inside then ever before
You are the eternal day always rising
Let the yellow and blue wild flowers grow
Let everything live and run long and free

Hear the songs of the robins in the morning
Once you see love it never goes away
Deep in the sea hope is a gift of promise
Warm yourself by the fire of mystical love

Touch the cedar trees and feel the wind
Follow the river like a fine new friend
The earth shall be replenished and restored
Fill your eyes with the brightest of stars

The moon is rising like a humble queen
Ivory clouds glisten in her majestic wake
Sleep deep, rest with white light dreams
Everything is going to turn out right

Hope leads the heart from home to home

Walked In The Rain

I've been away
High on a breeze
Tasted the salt of the seven blue seas Verse 1
Washed upon shores
Sun in my eyes
Stayed long enough just to say my goodbyes...

I walked in the rain
Wet me through and through
Following rainbows that lead me back to you Chorus
I've always believed
In what I've been told
Where rainbows end there's a pot of gold...

I'll read the stars
Talk to the moon
Stop when I hear somebody playing our tune Verse 2
Any excuse
And you'll see me
Drifting back home to the place I should be...

Some people say
Listen to me
Mostly I find that I disagree Verse 3
They tell me to change
Set myself free
I'm not convinced I don't want to be me

Maybe I'll stay
Maybe I'll go
Maybe I'll stick around I don't know Verse 4
One thing for sure
This I can say
I'm coming back; I've been so far away

Grain....

when life one dark night says
that it is tasteless and so bland like the air
the leaves of the mahogany trees hear it
and the following morning confide it with the
sea breeze
who tells it all to the sands who spread same story
to the waves of the shores
who deliver it to every desert in the sand
who keep all these in the heart of their
sacred solitude
and the wisdom stops in there
every dry sand of the desert
thrives upon this story
and sleeps so soundly.

'it is a fact and we are not surprised' the grain
of sand so proudly tell the others.

It's So Wonderful To Be Free

See how these islands beckon
Hear the palm trees' songs
Feel the gentle breeze that please
Say 'here's where you belong'.

Run free on shores of sandy white
Chasing waves that race with you
Bask in the warm embrace of sunlight
Amid the skies of powder blue.

Undress your life of useless worry
Time has stopped, at least for now
Breathe in the view, drink of its beauty
Think... well, you deserve it somehow.

Rest awhile with Mother Nature
Stay with Her on a place near the sea
She will relax your mind, for sure
And you find it's so wonderful to be free!

Hibiscus

It flourishes in the tropical sun
Its colours radiant
A burst of sun

It dots the land
In a tropical breeze
Were the coconut trees
Sway too and thro

The sent sways sweetly
Around you in bliss
Its colours so soft
It makes you think
Of a rainbow just passed
In it's beautiful wake

Vibrant the colours
Captured in tapestry art
A custom we have
From a culture lost

Its beauty sublime
It's a work of art
One that was made
By the creators hand

Home, Sweet Home.....

There is no place like home in this world
Home sweet home where I always live so happily
A light from the sky seems to bless us there
and God's love is spread all over there
How happy when you sit with loved ones
and to see their faces full of love smile
How nice to sit near our parents and great parents
and listen to their old stories that bring us lessons too
Our garden full of greenery and the flowers are
bloomed to give us pleasure
All those birds on the trees singing gaily
to give us a peace of mind
Our pets run freely in and out of the house
and keep us busy to watch their naughtiness
When I look at the mountains in their great splendor
that blows with cool breeze that give us healthy life
Our neighbors are dear and so helpful without fear
An exile from home, bring nothing but sadness
Because home is sweet home.

Drums Of The Islands

(words & music by polynesian cultural centre - tepper - bennett)
Drums of the islands youre beating in my heart
Youre with me no matter where I roam
If ever I wander if ever were apart
I know that you will lead me home
If I should journey across the deep blue sea
Ill never forget these coral shores
Drums of the islands I hear you calling me
And Ill return forever yours
I love each valley each grain of sand each hill
The flowers the music of the isles
These are the things I love and always will
Though I may roam ten thousand miles

The Sea

The sea has always
held a fascination with me
with its restlessness.
Breakers falling on
far and distant shores.
Waves rushing up sandy beaches,
then retreating to roam some more.
I sit for hours just watching and dreaming
where each wave might have been.
On its waters, roam mighty ships
coming and going from home.
One day I may old sea roam.
My dreams may come true
and on your waters explore
the different lives lead
on far-flung distant shores.
Until that day comes along
on the beach, I’ll sit and dream.

Little Susan

Air -- "The Pride of Caldair"

Once there was a little girl
And her friends loved her dear --
Her parents loved their little one,
She did their hearts cheer.
They loved their little darling,
As with them she did roam,
They called her little Susan,
The pride of their home.

Blue eyes had little Susan,
And light flaxen hair,
And she was a pleasant child to see,
So beautiful and fair.
With her parents she will never more
On earth with them roam --
They loved their little Susan,
The pride of their home.

Her parents had more children,
There were nine of them all --
There are eight of them living,
For God but one called.
The flower of their family
God called to his home,
It was their little Susan,
The pride of their home.

Her friends will not forget her,
Though she died years ago --
It was John H. Moore's daughter,
Her age was four years old.
She is waiting in heaven,
Waiting for her friends to come
And be with their little Susan,
The pride of their home.

Momma I Coming Home

Momma I, m lost and caught up in the streets
Momma I wont to come home
Momma you told me it was not nothing out there
Momma I wont to come home
I, m sitting here on the corner with this can in my hand thinking about
everything you told me was true
Momma I wont to come home
The things I did you can't imagine
Momma I wont to come home
Momma did you hear me
Momma I, m coming home

Welcome Home

In my life
I have seen
Far away places
Wild and serene
But nothing I saw
Prepared me for
The mat on the floor
Saying "welcome home"
Time flies
See the moon rise
As I'm makin' my way
Through another long day
But I'll go
To a place I know
In my heart I know
There's just no place
Like home
Welcome home
Welcome home
To that place
That's safe and warm
Always a shelter
From the storm
I'm going home
Welcome home
Roll out the welcome mat
For me!
I'm goin' home
Sometimes
I remember
All the days I never knew
If I would ever make it through
But just when
I'd give up again
I'd remember when the days
Were stormy
Home was always
Waitin' for me
Sayin'
Welcome home
Welcome home
Where there will always be
A welcoming light on
Just for me
When I go home
Welcome home
No place
That I would rather be
Than goin' home
In my heart I know
That someday when my time
Is drawing near
I'm gonna hear
Welcome home
Welcome home
Where there will always be
Somebody waiting
There for me
When I go home
Home sweet home
Everyone's smilin' just for me
When I go home
In my heart I see
Somebody waiting
There for me
Welcome home
Welcome home
It looks like a
Starlight symphony
I'm goin' home

Epilogue

Carol, every violet has
Heaven for a looking-glass!

Every little valley lies
Under many-clouded skies;
Every little cottage stands
Girt about with boundless lands.
Every little glimmering pond
Claims the mighty shores beyond—
Shores no seamen ever hailed,
Seas no ship has ever sailed.

All the shores when day is done
Fade into the setting sun,
So the story tries to teach
More than can be told in speech.

Beauty is a fading flower,
Truth is but a wizard's tower,
Where a solemn death-bell tolls,
And a forest round it rolls.

We have come by curious ways
To the light that holds the days;
We have sought in haunts of fear
For that all-enfolding sphere:
And lo! it was not far, but near.
We have found, O foolish-fond,
The shore that has no shore beyond.

Deep in every heart it lies
With its untranscended skies;
For what heaven should bend above
Hearts that own the heaven of love?

Carol, Carol, we have come
Back to heaven, back to home.

Tragedy

That LIC agent
With the
Beautiful
Writing…
Very genteel,
And good-looking.

Baba told me -
He had a happy
Family with a
Young wife,
And two children.

One night
A truck -
Struck them
While they were
Returning home
On their scooty.

That was the end
Of their story.
Or, was it?

No….their
Old parents
Are reliving
This sad story
Day in and
Day out of their
Dying life…
Thinking
Over and over
Again, asking
Each other:
Why me?

I sometimes
Wonder…
Does God
Have a heart,
Does He?

Holy Night

Everything sighs with moonlight
Who owns the sun and stars?
Prayer sails outside of mortal time
My soul lives in another dimension

Gentle palm trees sway in shadows
The sea shines in wake of the moon
Waves role and ebb on quiet shores
Sacred moment swells with eternity

The universe is a friend to sojourners
Stars of Holy portent glow with awe
Gentle night along this white sand
Mystic soft light on kelp and shells

Lights from the small mountain village
They fish the sea like centuries before
I sit on an old rock of ancient lava
The glimmer of the stars is hypnotic

Dreams mingle with beauty true
Fellowship with wonder and peace
Assurance that all will be well
Spirit in the sweet breeze and tide

Gratitude ascends on this Holy Night

The Language of the Ocean

The Oceans and The Sea Speaks A Language
With expressions explicit in tranquility or rage
...The sea breeze moves gentle, swirling around tunefully.
As the fragrance of the oceans breath, lingers luxuriously.
The murmurs of its unwritten rhythm, plays a harmony,
The earthly design, decrescendos the waves flawlessly.
My eyes dip into the endless wide seas, away from land.
World of endless waters, volumes of sky, deep down the sand.
Where millions of sea shells, make their castles and home.
Richness aplenty and the sea creatures fearlessly do roam,
The sun caresses the waters to glisten, with a passionate sigh!
The moon, the stars, brighten the darkness in the sky.
An ocean of emotion with many a story, the seas embrace,
Expresses in ‘Allegretto' the depression, with shattering grace.
And serenity, a composition, an orchestra, with a healing taste.
A clear, concise, comprehensive with variable sounds to illustrate!

See Me

ooooohh
Nananananana
Mmm-mmm
With the moon and the sun in his eyes
He's arriving
And I don't know what I'd do without him
I got life
Suddenly
See
See me
I've got nothing to hide
See me
I've got nothing to hide
See me
I'm leaving my heart in the palm of his hand
So gently
I know he knows that I love him
Though I've never said
Is there an easy way?
See
See me
I've got nothing to hide
See me
I've got nothing to hide
See me
Coming home
I'm coming home
It feels like I'm coming home
Coming home
I'm coming home
See (see me see me)
See me
I've got nothing to hide (nothing to hide)
See me
I've got nothing to hide (nothing to hide)
See (see me see me)
See me

Outsider

The many childhood memories that I have
are lonely ones of being an outsider.
I never mixed very well
and was always the last one,
other children wanted to call a friend.
I was a quiet person
who spent much of his time alone
buried deep within his own thoughts.
At classes, I always got the lowest grades,
on vacation I almost always was on my own.
I would sit for hours just pondering on my thoughts.
I never grew out of being an outsider,
different from the rest.
My early life was over shadowed
by younger sister whom my parents adored.
Every achievement that I made
my sister could do it better.
Not only was I an outsider at school,
but also at home a well.
In 1959, I left the shores
of the place I called home
to go back to the place of my birth.
Not until forty-two years later
would, I set foot on that soil again.
Things in the world had changed,
but not so much for me
as I was still a stranger
in the land I called my home.

Personal Evolution

My shores are all but gone now...
Time has claimed my sands
Tears i have cried o'er Love that has died
My waves ebb and flow now on command;
The moon has all but given up
Taken it's leave from shining o'er Earths floor
Silence and sorrow are my constant companions
Embraced by tattered shores of nevermore;
Life 'tis but a glimpse of Divine Light...
A solumn glimpse of Eternity...
Shores of once sweet abandon-are gone now
Swallowed up, i am now, by the Sea;

San Tropez

As I reach for a peach
Slide a rind down behind
the sofa in San Tropez
Breaking a stick with a brick on the sand
Riding a wave in the wake of an old Sedan
Sleeping alone in the drone of the darkness
Scratched by the sand that fell from our love
Deep in my dreams and I still hear her calling
If you're alone I'll come home
Backwards and home bound
The pidgeon the dove
Gone with the wind and the rain on an airplane
Owning a home with no silver spoon
I'm drinking champaigne like a big tycoon
Sooner than wait for a break in the weather
I'll gather my far flung thoughts together
Speeding away on a wind to a new day
If your alone I'll come home
And I pause for a while
By a country style
And listen to things they say
Digging for gold in the hoe in my hand
Hoping they'll take a look at the way things stand
And you're leading me down to the place by the sea
I hear your soft voice calling to me
Making a date for later by phone
if you're alone I'll come home

Beautiful warzone- Africa

Africa a beautiful warzone
Home to me and you and them
But then the grass is not greener across the oceans.
What would a place be with out any negatives?
Ask yourself.
The world loves Africa, but Africa doesn’t love Africa.
We have shared blood in the past we still spill it…

When will Africa be what it ought to be?
A wonderful place where ethnic background doesn’t count,
A place of joy, love, peace and prosperity,
Africa was made with perfection out of love,
Blessed with a wonderful wild life,
The antelopes, birds, lions, elephants and even the fishes,
The sun embraces the beautiful blue sky by day,
And the moon and the stars hide us at night with a blanket of comfort.

Green forests as a cherry on top,
While hidden riches cause havoc, death, and deceit once uncovered.
Gold, diamonds and the like
Beautiful blue beaches east to west, west to east
Meeting in the shores of Cape Town
People’s dreams are what make Africa dull
People don’t dream of constructive things.

They dream about riches and about having it all
Some willing to wait for it; as the say it is worth the wait
Others want the easy way out; as they say it is a smarter way
But tell me why you are here; what the purpose of your existence is
And that of Africa, why are we placed in this warzone?
Or why do we remain in it?
Why is it a warzone anyway?

Look into it; forget the eyes let civilization lead
If Africa was made to be so beautiful, what’s its purpose?
Was it made to just a beautiful warzone
I deeply doubt that.
Africa is home to me, and you, and them,
and that of rest of the world.
Look at how you can change things
“Don’t consider yourself a victim of circumstances or
Consider thoughts of infidelity; consider a better course for yourself.”
