Stall Your Master

Stall your master one day at a time
To achieve a greater state of being,
But only one day at a time.

Cry not today, nor the day after,
Instead, stall each day with laughter!

Me-Time Continuum

I watch the clock ticking out its time.
I hear the gears tocking 'till the chime…
I hold my stare acutely
And focus ears astutely.
The whole gestalt of this assault by me on clock
Collapses in to hence become
A new me-time continuum,
This clock and I a vacuum;
Dial and me, we've come to be
A synergistic, fatalistic victim,
Hmm…

When it ticks, I then tock:
I am me as well as clock.
When it tocks, I then tick.
We burn together down the wick
In candle wax, both cold and warm,
Together now in molten form.
We jump the side but soon to stall,
Only to solidify
Until the active plateau
Chases…
Down…
Sinking…
To melt again the bit that ran (us) –
All in a time storm
With timeless plan.

The Big Fire Ball

The big fire ball,
The biggest of them all,
is making the stall.

The stall of life;
The will to strife,
With the goodness of knife.

'Tis giving us the light,
The power to fight-
Stand tall in the night.

And make our way,
with nothing to sway,
Cheerful, bright n gay.

The ball makes us think.
With the strength of ink,
and pen and then to sink.

In the seas of fear,
Travel near and near,
Embrace the powers of tear.

To rise above and love,
Here, now, above,
Here, now, above...........

Writing On The Wall

I've seen the writing on the wall
What's the answer to it all
My eyes are open
No need to stall
I've seen the writing on the wall
How I loved you
When I first saw you
The transformation was there to see
I gave my heart, my body and soul
When I first saw you
Oh, how I loved you
Games, games, games - games people playin'
There's always a loser
This time it's me
Oh how I love my inspiration
Such a sad story
The game we played
How could sweet love
Turn to sour love
How could I've lied
One lie too many
Why should we be separated
You know that I still want you
You know that I still want you
Seen the writing on the wall
What's the answer to it all
My eyes are open
No need to stall
Seen the writing on the wall

Market Day

There’s a market in our town, two days a week.
It’s nice to have a browse and take a quick peek.
There’s a riot of colours up and down the street,
And mouth-watering smells from all the food to eat.

There’s an explosion of different sights and sounds,
And dozens of people are leisurely milling around.
At the market, there’s always a great atmosphere,
And there’s nothing for sale there which is too dear.

A mobile van serves up spicy German bratwurst,
Plus a variety of different drinks to quench your thirst.
On one stall, they sell leather purses and handbags:
Cheap ones, plus designer ones, for the would-be WAGs.

In his mobile truck, a rotund butcher chops up some meat:
He promises his customers that his prices can’t be beat.
There’s a stall which sells low price pet supplies.
This is always a big attraction for the penny wise.

Hoping that none of his food will end up in the waste,
The Mediterranean food stall holder offers a free taste.
There are crisps and cakes stacked in crates,
Which are not long off of their sell by date.

From yet another stall, drifts an amazing perfumed smell.
They sell a variety of novelty soap and bath bombs as well.
A Jeweller displays a variety of items made of silver and gold.
He also buys any old unwanted jewellery, if it is being sold.

Then, of course, there’s the doughnut man –
Of this particular stall, I’m a very big fan!
Each market trader has their own unique call,
Trying to attract the customers to their stall.

They brave all weathers – the heat and the freezing cold,
Hoping that, by the close of day, their wares will be sold.
At the end of the day, there are real bargains to be found,
Such as a box of mixed fruit or veg for only a pound.

Come late afternoon, they pack up after a long day.
They load up their vans and are soon on their way.
When they have all gone, all that is left is a space,
And, of the market, there isn’t left a single trace.

Kingdom of God

This life...
as short as it seems,
goes by slowy
enough time to be great.

But if I stall
and let desire hold me fast,
my child will be born,
and it will be too late.

April Dusk

April dusk
It is tragic to be a poet now
And not a lover
Paradised under the mutest bough.

I look through my window and see
The ghost of life flitting bat-winged.
O I am as old as a sage can even be,
O I am as lonely as the first fool kinged.

The horse in his stall turns away
From the hay-filled manger, dreaming of grass
Soft and cool in hollows. Does he neigh
Jealousy-words for John MacGuigan's ass
That never was civilised in stall or trace.

An unmusical ploughboy whistles down the lane
Not worried at all about the fate of Europe.
While I sit here feeling the subtle pain
Of one whose Tree of God has been uprooted.

The Two Boys

I saw a boy with eager eye
Open a book upon a stall,
And read as he'd devour it all:
Which when the stall-man did espy,
Soon to the boy I heard him call,
'You, sir, you never buy a book,
Therefore in one you shall not look.'
The boy passed slowly on, and with a sigh
He wished he never had been taught to read,
Then of the old churl's books he should have had no need.

Of sufferings the poor have many,
Which never can the rich annoy.
I soon perceived another boy
Who looked as if he'd not had any
Food for that day at least, enjoy
The sight of cold meat in a tavern-larder.
This boy's case, thought I, is surely harder,
Thus hungry longing, thus without a penny,
Beholding choice of dainty dressed meat:
No wonder if he wish he ne'er had learned to eat.

Lady at the Desk Wouldn't Understand

And it comes to this
Him putting back in his teeth
with one hand

Standing back to me
stall door open in the men's
bathroom at the Central Library

This rainy cold morning
he's just bathed
washed his clothes
repacked all he has

This rainy cold morning
I've been trying my hand
updating my resume
preparing for a job interview

I was able to
sleep in a little
shower shave at home
breakfast with my wife

He 's been tring to
keep warm
stay awake and
not get thrown out

Right now he
in the stall
me at a urinal
we're just two guys
taking a piss

Christmas Cheer

With the Christmas Season here, missing is true Christmas Cheer.
What seems today to be ignored, is the person of Christ our Lord.
The babe God sent to this world, is the message we should herald.
For that little child born in a stall, was sent to us as The Lord of all.

Commercial winds made us drift, completely away from God’s Gift.
With all of the trim, it’s suggestive, that the season is quite festive.
You do hear both laughter and joy, but no mention of the baby boy.
Men took a blessed Holy Night, and filled it with a commercial light.

Although you hear much caroling, you hear no praises to our King.
Men sing of joy and Christmas tide, but Christ the Savior is denied.
Halls are decked in tinsel and light, with the baby Jesus out of sight.
In lieu of Merry Christmas men say, have yourself a Happy Holiday.

Christ by many is simply dismissed, while they seek out other gifts.
Many get caught in a shopping race, bypassing God’s gift of Grace.
Turning the day to remember Christ, into a virtual commercial heist.
That day God came to this earth, through a miraculous virgin birth.

Christmas for many my friend, is simply how much did they spend.
And as they franticly shop and fret, they quickly slip down into debt.
Jesus Christ paid more than all, when He left His throne for a stall.
God sent the gift and paid the price, and His Son was the sacrifice.

And the gift for us is Eternal Life, wrapped in His Son Jesus Christ.
For men who truly know The Lord, it’s a day for Christ to be adored.
For us it’s a Hallow time of year, being misused by other men I fear.
Christmas for them, you might say, is really one gigantic hollow day.

Wish You Were Here

I sent you a postcard
Thought it would be funny
Would have sent a souvenir
But they took all my money
It's pretty warm down here but it ain't sunny
And I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I tried to call you
I tried to call you
Long distance operators that only stall you
Besides the damn rates are so high
They just appall you
And I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
And I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
It started out a nice vacation
Left the station right on time
Can't get a ticket to get me home, dear
They just don't have too many flights from twilight zone, dear
So don't forget to feed my cats
Spot and Jerome, dear
And I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
Having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
Having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
Seeing all the sights here
I'm getting lonely
I'd show you all the film I took if they would only
Let me go home
Dear, sincerely
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here
I'm having a hell of a time, my dear
Wish you were here

Here at Malacca Newton foodcourt is one of the model hawker's
food outlet. There are sections for Chinese, Indian and Malay food.
The Chinese cuisine can be found at the fore, the Indian at the side and the Malay at the back of the food court. Each hawker stall has his own space to showcase his food including in the form of large pictures on the wall. You see at the back of every stall, large tasteful fare such as satay, popiah, chi cheong fun, herbal soups, porridge, fried oysters, char koey tiaw among others. There are some 30 Chinese stalls,10 Malay and eight Indian stalls. The environment is clean with wooden tables and chairs, and large Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling. There are sections where one can dine open air styled.

The Puppeteer

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

It is still the cost is on our shoulders.
Leader of nothing.
With words of speeches that have no meaning.
They fell for it hook line and sinker.
Now it is time to pull off the shroud.
Show them the monster I really am.
Satan aint got sh! * on him.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

They say we love him.
But it was his false claims and ideas.
Given up as soon as he got in.
A solution to a problem we created.
How come now we feel so jaded.
We were once again manipulated.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

Promise broken, dreams stolen.
All by this man who rides in on a white horse.
He looks promising lets keep him for another term.
Oh where do we sign.
He says there on the dotted lines.
He claims he's the ender of all suffering.
And I say I haven't seen this yet.
I feel so abandon by this master.

Oh master puppeteer
What is it this time.
What's on the agenda today.
Into the fray.
With no delay
Pulling strings that cause so much dismay.

It's Music Time

It's Music Time - what shall I do?
It's Music Time today.
I haven't really thought it through
And it's Music Time today.
It doesn't have to last too long
This Music Time today.
We haven't finished our number work
We could miss Music Time today.
But Johnny and Jane will go berserk
If there's no Music Time today.
We could always sing that assembly song
At Music Time today.
I know they'll want to get the instruments out
At Music Time today.
But can I stand all that crashing about?
When it's Music Time today.
Maybe we could take turns to play?
At Music Time today.
And if there's too much noise we'll just put them away
At Music Time today.

Not The Moment

I can't believe what you're saying about me
I can't believe it's true
You know you never should doubt me
And take this attitude
You say there's something between us
Something just ain't right
But every time I ask you to tell me why
You say it's not the moment
You say it's not the moment
You say you're tired of walking on eggshells
And falling in between
That I'm two-timing you but you know quite well
That's just not my scene
And now my friends are starting to call me
They say there's something wrong
Ah, but you just continue to stall me
You say it's not the moment
You say...
Yes we need to talk this through
'Cause I do depend on you
So let it out and try to clear the air
I've got nothing I should hide
I'm burning up inside
But you just act like you don't even care
Oh well I know sometimes it ain't easy
I know you're feeling bad
But you know it's the wrong time to tease me
It just gets me mad
I'm going to find out sooner or later
Just what you're trying to say
So when I ask you now for just one more time
Don't say it's not the moment
Don't say...
Yes we need to talk this through, etc.
Told you I would be your friend
Be there to the very end
But you had to let me down
And go spreading dirty words around

Infestation

From birth to achieve one's purpose,
Is that what it is one's life should be?
Or are we given this experience...
To exist to witness others succeed?

Are we to take life as an expected gift?
To sit in anticipation...
As life should come to us,
To breeze through easily.

From birth to achieve one's purpose,
Like steps come in increments.
First there is a crawling done.
To stand up tall to fall.
Ignoring to stall these as minor incidents.
Is not this life to live with such a preference?

No flying from a leap...
Some believe taken in clean sweeps,
To not repeat...
Incompleted lessons.

From birth to achieve one's purpose,
In sessions God dictates.
Although some prefer to stay whining like babies.
Hoping an empathy negates their impatient wait.

And some are often praised,
When they leave implusive scars...
To leave marks condone!
By others shown...
They too were raised to be just as crazed!
With the effects of this to go unquestioned.
Since their beliefs are released...
For a complete infestation for others to reap.
As reality takes a backseat...
While continuing to be depleted.

Today it is the day and the time to welcome all creeds to the church
Today it is the day and time to compose a love song for friends, couples, Lovers, mothers, and daughters and sons

T For Texas

Give me a t for thelma, woman made a fool out of me
If you dont want me baby, mama you sure dont got to stall
If you dont want me baby, mama you sure dont got to stall
Ive had more pretty women than a passenger train could haul
Im gonna buy myself a shotgun, one with a long shiny barrel
Im gonna buy myself a shotgun, one with a long shiny barrel
Im gonna shoot me a rounder oh that stole away my gal
Id rather drink your muddy water, sleep down in a hollow log
Id rather drink your muddy water, sleep down in a hollow log
Than to be in atlanta, georgia, treat me like a dirty dog
(I dont have to go for that)
If you dont want me baby, mama you sure dont got to stall
If you dont want me baby, mama you sure dont got to stall

Less Intrusive

If anyone is still left defending,
The nonsense of their foolish visions...
With a hope of a return,
To times that ran them into a brick wall...
Deliver to them bricks!
And isolate them quick.

They will not learn to build anything with them,
At all.
Anyone seeking,
In these days before us...
To stall for time,
Will find their self inflictions...
Less intrusive with outside interference.
