Hurting People

Far away, in a fairytale land,
Underneath an unforgiving sky,
Amidst the wastes of the wilderness lie:

The people of our cities and towns.
Tears fall from their eyes,
As they scream out, "Why? "

Wasted out by life's tough course,
Their eyes glisten red.
They are like walking dead.

Deep inside is filled with scars,
The longing of a lonely heart,
The feeling of being torn apart,

The desire to belong somehow:
When all they feel is pain,
But they still have no gain.

Crying and hurting people-
They fill our streets.
If we would but lift our eyes to see.

They sit beside us in the pews,
They live behind their masquerade.
Stuck inside an eternal wait.

At night they cry themselves to sleep,
Wishing for someone who really cares,
Someone they don't have to beware.

Crying, hurting people, don't pass by!
Please take the time to see how they are-
Put your arm around them, tell them you care.

Show them by your actions,
That you mean what you say,
That you care about them night and day.

Even if you can't see it,
We are all hurting inside:
Torn apart by the falsities and the lies.

All it takes is someone who cares,
To change the world of someone
Who thinks it's all said and done.

Crying, hurting people,
Everyone could use a little love-
The kind that comes from above,

When nothing is expected in return
Just something to help them along.
Something to free them from a heartbreak song.

For all us crying, hurting people,
Please stop, and take time,

Crying

Some nights I go to bed Crying,
Those were the days I was really hurting.
I was never a fan of weeping,
Yet it was my solution to get what I was yearning.

I cried long tears in the darkness,
Because I did not want anyone to pity on my softness.
Always told crying was a sign of weakness.
Crying reminds me that I am human.
And it is okay to go through the emotions.

I cry when I am hurting,
I cry when I am mad,
The obvious one is when I am down and out and feeling sad.

The night is my sanctuary, the place where I can hide,
In the dark is when I cry.
I can feel the tears slowly trickling down my eyes,
Only then crying is the best thing that give an honest description of what I feel inside.
Crying is my release too difficult to say what is on my mind.

I cry because there is nothing I can say or do.
Feeling so powerless, so not in control.
I cry and it is true.
I am not super woman nor am I a super human.
I always try to avoid it,
But most times I can not help it.
I cry.....

Laying in her room music blairing
parents yelling tears pouring from her eyes
gasping for air like she is dieing. people don't understand
how other people with illnesses think.
people in the world are hurting people stare at us
like we don't belong. maybe we don't. but we are here
we are living so if your hurting just know other people are worest

Crying Shame

I cried all night just thinking of you
I wonder now what Im going to do
Since you left me for that friend of mine
Every second is just crying time
I cry cos my heart is in pain

Within every love affair,
there comes a hurting time.
Sometimes it keeps on hurting
until the end of time.
Tears fall on the pillow
where you once rested your head.

I Am Hurting

I'm hurting.
And all I am expected to show for it,
Is a stiff upper lip.
And unknown courage.
Only I know exists.

As if I keep a faucet inside.
To decide to turn off and on at will.
Or desert how I feel!
To isolate...
And leave abandoned.
Until it dies.
Or until I smother it to kill.

Like a common well that has dried up,
Either from lack of use...
Or the need of it has gone.
From a contamination,
That has gone on for too long!

I feel diminished.
Finished.
Left to wither and die.
Forgotten for the attempts I've tried!
To keep together...
What has now been brushed aside.
Regardless of an existence,
I showed with pride and caring!
For a relationship shared...
That has slipped away.

I'm hurting!
And I find I am admitting that!
But to whom?
This wound inside that afflicts me,
Is mine.
Not to share.
No one but I know,
The history that is there.

And if I could...
Would the sting of it be transferred?
With the pain that sits on my every nerve?
No!
I know that.
And even if I could...
With tears to deliver,
How and what I feel...
With this depth.
Would still leave me...
The one out of breath.
And out of my mind with this sorrow.

I would not wish this on anyone.
Not to be dismissed in the way I have been!
Not today or anytime.
Not in anyone's tomorrows.

I am hurting!

To comfort or ignore...

hurting like a woman in labour
hurting like a godly man prior
repentance
lamenting
lamenting like a hungry infant
outwitted by your superior craft
of segregation
stranded on a deserted island of
inferiority
burdened by excruciating pains caused
through deprivation
suffering from the wounds of
prejudices
haemorrhaging like a severed vessel-
weakened by your master culture
swamped by your perfect philosophy
