Doors Open
Whispered prayers travel by sunlight
Moonlight on swirling leaves of fall
New England villages with lighthouses
Meadows virgin with pure red sumac
Nestled in quilts of ancient winds
Ghost eyes peer from forests of time
Light a fire and sit with your coffee
Replete in golden reds of autumns love
Mariners on ships that never return
Names written on brave walls
Moods with planets from other galaxies
Every idea is a doorway of old future
Dimensions of silver meaning sigh
The past creeks down rustic hallways
Chill in the air yet the sun is bright
Ambivalence where emotion has crossroads
Waiting for your appearance in patient night
Wanting love but doubting the complications
Biography and self-introspection
We all carry around so much weight
I seek to be light as Tolkien’s elves
Castle dungeons torture my soul
Closed in a world without stars
Protected but alone
You have come with your lantern
The steel doors open

I Have Fallen
I am the mask of iron chiffon
Denied access to your rebellious rain
We hunt like unborn lovers
Waiting for the wet moon
Fallen like stars as bright as purple
Proper golden doors stay shut
Can you hear me call?
Will you wrap your lace?
I await your cryptic poetry
Secret like the dawn of tides
Tides that flood my night
Tides as warm as red fire
Let me drink until I am guilty
You haunt me like the wind
Open those gates that make me pray
Silk gates of Irish fishnet
The high elves of regal blue
Forests in the flames of joy
Satin gowns like ancient ghosts
Timely counsel where rubies speak
Emerald stars bright as shamans
I left the heavens for your kiss
Tempestuous sea sweeps the kelp
Brazen moonlight cradles my heart
Rings of mandolin wine
Shrouded like sirens of Ulysses
Discretion blows like a trial of Hercules
We are the planets of every treasure
Ships of fire burn in the Gaelic sheets
I have fallen into shamrock tendrils
Fallen like Yeats moral chains
Fallen and waiting for your heaven

Fist Of Fire (alternate Version)
(Anderson Howe Wakeman Bruford)
Carry forth as a guardian to Kingdom Come
With your daggers of the spirit
Let the dagger run
With the Fist of Fire
Be the master now
As the darkness of ages past
Riches silver and gold
In the liquid see
Cast a net can you catch
So you can't see me
As in death you can climb
Higher thru the sky
Show your wings
Surely you can fly
Fly away past the guardian to Kingdom Come
See the miracle of life
Disappear it's gone
Go carry your silver ships of light
Go carry your silver ships of light
Go carry your silver ships of life
Go carry your silver ships of life
Go carry your silver ships of life
Keep the fire in your hand
It won't let you drown
As you fly with your wings
Won't come falling down
See the flower of youth
Disappear on high
As you gather your true wings
About to fly
To be ready
To be strong
Make it run
This righteous
This wrong
This right
This love
This is how nature controls
The way of all things
this is how the angels sing
Not afraid
No, not afraid
Not afraid of this or that
Not afraid
Carry forth as a guardian to Kingdom Come
With the ghost
And the spirit
Let the fire run
Thru the darkest age
We can surely fly
Thru the darkest age
With the Fist Of Fire
Thru the darkest age

Fugitive
we got the soul
we got the honey
stayed alive
we keep on running
house is on fire
with petrol stain
we stay on the move
ahead of the flames
we are the new
accelerators
faster we go
before they make us
maybe we did
maybe maybe we don't
we see your face
as you throw the stone
i am a fugitive on the run
i carry the weight of what i've done
those born a sweat
through eyes of love
bring more light
than five thousand hertz
it's not where you're from
or where you go
or what you believe
it's more than you know
open your head
open your head
hold me close as you jump off the edge
[chorus]
i am a fugitive on the run
i carry the weight of what i've done
so don't carry the weight
don't carry the weight
i don't carry the weight
you can't change the world

Ghosts Of The Full Moon
Every moonbeam radiates joy
Sycamore trees in shadows of the sea
Savannah grass in green waves
Mystic winds blow the ancient souls
Let the fingers of night caress
Let the feelings sigh like a shaman
See the buffalo graze under the stars
Naked stars that pry memories
Stars of the future birth
Angel night where awe sails on time
We are temples
We are spiritual
We are part of the ghost world
Pearls of emerald waves
Seagulls fly like sailors souls
Onyx moon of silver ancestry
Valley of Kidron and golden tombs
Dreams walk the hallowed corridors
Touch the sacred wells deep in the sky
Irish fields green with souls
Ghosts of the Great Barrier Reef
Eyes like wandering lions
Buried inside the Great Wall of China
Castles along the Seines
Ships rise in the galaxies
Have you felt the shivers of the moors?
The ancient ones of the full moon
Villages appear in hallways of sleep
Words from the winds of love
Flaming swords with two edges
Gates where living waters flow
Caravans of stars
Desert visions
Black Sea silk
Her ecstasy is in a room of mirrors
Michael Angelo’s bust emanates
Rembrandt in the silent museum
Raphael grounded in sanity
Yellow lamp of ancient quills
Whale oil sires the ancient graves
Icy waves of the mariners vault
Stairways in a New Orleans house
Night as quiet as fear
Have your felt the river of night?
Have you seen green eyes stare?
Lovers feel a stranger in their bed
Do you believe in vampires? I do
Van Gogh was haunted
Soon you will hover
Soon we will be the night
Islands of Jules Verne
Opium dens of Calcutta
Tibetan monks chant
Impudent vengeance never sleeps
Sword of Spartacus revels in anger
Magnolia slaves of the plantations lair
Red eyes, keep a night light on
Avenues of Hades belladonna
Byron dressed in black velvet
Jim Morrison at a séance
Edgar Allen Poe knew the night
Indigo trees in the wind
Mango ghosts
The Nile where cobra’s laugh
Brazilian rosewood dreams
Spanish ghosts of Mediterranean blood
Tireless Volga a sage of time
Ethereal eyes like a slaughter
Tribes are wandering the silt fields
Mountains ghosts
Celtic rivers of the vivid mind
Can you feel their candles?
The wings of night flutter
Shadows merge breathing constellations
The wind blows the curtain lace
They gather in costumes under moonlight
Ghosts of the full moon

Anna
Madness burns like a candle
Blustery night haunted with Anna
No clover or wild grass grows
No laughter sighs in the wind
Only the moan like a cemetery
The sea wrestles with ghosts
I have drowned in sorrow
Sanity has no wisdom of pain
Nestled in graves of ice
My heart lives in gray shadows
Threatened by brave self discovery
Blue skies are to be behind curtains
No paintings of ruby days of joy
Cobwebs and dust replete in the past
Only the tomb of sweet Anna will last
I have had enough of the light
Pastels have no place in my world
Red legions have come in purple
Don't bring me back - I am chosen
I have left willingly and sanity is evil
I hear her footsteps on the stairs
Curtain lace moves like her negligee
I know the dead live for they are near
Leave me to the kingdom of the past
Where Anna sleeps forever and forever
I have chosen this grand Gothic prison
I am free with glee sordid madness
Away from the world I seek darkness
Only Anna shall call me home
I have never met her but soon I shall
My doors are locked and shall not open
Gates as black as Byron’s steeds
Time is night when moonbeams swirl
Gossamer winds that make love to me
Dreams in dungeons where Anna cries
Etched ever deeply in my embittered heart
Is the sweet castle of Anna

My Castle In A Tree
As the sweet rain smears the watercolor world
And the beams of sunshine are stirred into it
As the trees ripple and splash around me
And my knees melt into the ground
The enormous trunk looms before me
My castle in a tree
Roots run in muscular veins down the mammoth redwood
They are the perfect staircase for me to ascend
As my swollen tears float off to space
The castle doors open to greet me
And my face is bathed in lamplight from within
My castle in a tree
The walls breathe a sigh of welcome
Flames leap onto every white wax candle
I take off my sandals so that my ancient feet
Warm the polished wooden floor
The world, it shivers before me in
My castle in a tree
The leaves, they let the sunlight in
But guard me from the things that lurk
Just beyond the edge of the earth
So that he not a one can see me
And there is not a thing at all to remember in
My castle in a tree
At once it evaporates into the golden sky
My hands and legs enflame before me
All the world is drowned in blackness and
Leaves not a single silver bubble
This is the death, the murder of
My castle in a tree

Blue Planet
Words of life last longer than diamonds
Byron writes with rivers of moonlight
His quill flashes through the centuries
Soul beyond the grave like distant stars
Everything glows tonight beyond sorrow
This moment contains the eternal past
Sown in time and raised immortal
The Moon of earth like topaz children
Planets of turquoise visitors tell the future
Born of a million fires of jubilant change
Orion's belt will lay down with the Lion
Man became a living soul created free
How glorious is the golden circle
Infinite love waits behind all discovery
Vast eternity in a moments awakening
Go out and look beyond the Vail
Tonight is a fine night for visitations
Doors of perception wait for open minds
Blake has visions deeper than rubies
The Shepard walks the stars tonight
The sea fills with living midnight stars
We travel in and out of mystic time
High blue dreams sail beyond the walls
Everything is washed in eternal silence
Light shines on a distant blue planet

Voices Of The Night : Flowers
Spake full well, in language quaint and olden,
One who dwelleth by the Castle Rhine,
When he called the flowers, so blue and golden
Stars, that in the earth's firmament do shine.
Stars they are, wherein we do read our history
As astrologers and seers of eld;
Yet not wrapped about with awful mystery,
Like the burning stars, which they beheld.
Wonderous truths, and manifold as wonderous,
God has written in those stars above;
But not less in the bright flowers under us
Stands the revelation of his love.
Bright and glorious is that revelation,
Written all over this great world of ours;
Making evident our own creation,
In these stars of earth, these golden flowers.
And the Poet, faithful and far-seeing,
Sees, alike in stars and flowers, a part
Of the self-same, universal being,
Which is throbbing in his brain and heart.
Gorgeous flowerets in the sunlight shining,
Blossoms flaunting the bright of day,
Tremulous leaves, with soft and silver lining,
Buds that open only to decay.
Brilliant hopes, all woven in gorgeous tissues,
Flaunting gayly in the golden light;
Large desires, with most uncertain isssues,
Tender wishes, blossoming at night!
These in flowers and men are more than seeming;
Workings are they of the self-same powers,
Which the Poet, in no idle dreaming,
Seeith in himself and in the flowers.
Everywhere about us are they glowing,
Some like stars, to tell us Spring is born;
Others, their blue eyes with tears o'erflowing,
Stand like Ruth amid the golden corn;
Not alone in Spring's armorial beaing,
And in Summer's green-emblazoned field,
But in the arms of brave old Autumn's wearing,
In the centre of his brazen shield;
Not alone in meadows and green alleys,
On the mountain-top, and by the brink
Of sequestered pools in woodland valleys,
Where the slaves of nature stoop to drink;
Not alone in her vast dome of glory,
Not on graves of bird and beast alone,
But in old cathedrals, high and hoary,
On the tombs of heroes, carved in stone.
In the cottage of the rudest peasant,
In ancestral homes, whose crumbling towers,
Speaking of the Past unto the Present,
Tell us of the ancient Games of Flowers;
In all places, then, and in all seasons,
Flowers expand their light and soul-like wings,
Teaching us, by most persuasive reasons,
How akin they are to human things.
And with child-like, credulous affection
We behold their tender buds expand;
Emblems of our own great resurrection.
Emblems of the bright and better land.

Fairy Song
The moonlight fades from flower and rose
And the stars dim one by one;
The tale is told, the song is sung,
And the Fairy feast is done.
The night-wind rocks the sleeping flowers,
And sings to them, soft and low.
The early birds erelong will wake:
'T is time for the Elves to go.
O'er the sleeping earth we silently pass,
Unseen by mortal eye,
And send sweet dreams, as we lightly float
Through the quiet moonlit sky;--
For the stars' soft eyes alone may see,
And the flowers alone may know,
The feasts we hold, the tales we tell;
So't is time for the Elves to go.
From bird, and blossom, and bee,
We learn the lessons they teach;
And seek, by kindly deeds, to win
A loving friend in each.
And though unseen on earth we dwell,
Sweet voices whisper low,
And gentle hearts most joyously greet
The Elves where'er they go.
When next we meet in the Fairy dell,
May the silver moon's soft light
Shine then on faces gay as now,
And Elfin hearts as light.
Now spread each wing, for the eastern sky
With sunlight soon shall glow.
The morning star shall light us home:
Farewell! for the Elves must go.

Thank You
Azure soul true and blue as feathers
We sigh like lovers with fine wings
Breathe love like a warm spring day
Apples red as her kiss
Soft zephyrs
Placid streams
Replete with solemn strength
Refreshed in waters of life
My darling is a golden river
I drink her sweet fountains
In this insane world I have found you
Lets watch the clouds amidst the blue
Love is vital
Love makes it all worthwhile
Love is a gift beyond measure
Summer winds fill with gracious portent
She dreams of my warm arms
Golden meadows where prayer smiles
Moonlight sweet as honey
Silence drenched in deep passion
Fire always burning
Desire always awakening
Dreams amidst antique lamps
The kitchen bright with little kisses
We flow from all the ages
Let the clocks chime
My love ravages my lonely life
The bed burns both day and night
Out the window the stars shine
She sleeps in timeless dreams
Thank you my love for finding me
Thank you my God for blessing me

Eternal Forests
Fate circles the moon of desire
We are the earth circling time
Her kiss has rivers with deer
Eagles fly over cliffs of granite
Lovers of ember centuries
Past the tears past the fears
The thunder of buffalo herds
Mountain streams like Eden
No armies or galleons
Oak grow as the mighty wind
Our bed has ancestry
Lovers share their dreams
When the land was open
No signs, no ownership
Meadows of stars shine
We are the future laughter
We are the dreams of warriors
They know they must die
They know they must be brave
Feel them in your bright kiss
Passion filled with battles
Feel their canoes along the waters
Your arms are their arms
Kiss your warriors that stand
They are dying for a way of life
Their blood cries from sacred ground
Your eyes like doves
Your dreams of fire and broken arrows
Hold me like a shaman of stolen land
Share your joy and sorrow
Ghost of sweet streams and feathers
Making love by quiet rivers
Warriors that once blessed the sky
The legions come with their chains
They bring reservations
They bring peace treatise with broken tongues
Love me on this hot bed of soul
The night has ancient eyes
Hear the wind bring tears of Cochise
See the shadows like war dances
See the broken wings of the hawk
We must kiss the future when morning rules
We must remember all their visions
Love is a circle of great seasons
Blend into me like a thousand full moons
Tecumseh sighs in the Ohio valley
Make them move west until they are gone
My love the land cries in your heart
These braves of the new world
Panther in the sky
Trail of tears in your loving thighs
We love in hidden valleys and cold mountains
Sacred burial grounds whisper
Let me hold your warrior soul
I am your lover here and now yet pierced
We are ancient lovers waiting for eternal forests

Woman of God
Deep in the crevices we touch life
Down and down into a sea of gold
Woven in stars from grand eons
We are a dream from the throne
Music plays from mystic trees
Fruit bright with living light
Saturn shines like a lovers caress
Rivers sigh with whispering night
She is a well from a deep river
Streams of peace flow from above
Thirsty hearts drink pure water
Lilies of the field tenderly love
Visions blend with daily eternity
Joy radiates with a pure blue glow
Unity the treasure of redemption
Past the past we struggle and grow
Touch the very hem of beauty
She brings the kiss of temporal time
Price above rubies, virtue and warmth
Light a fire with the torch of moonlight
Groaning deep in agony of soul
Temporary love becomes worldly lust
A kingdom not made by hands of man
Do you reach for love past this dust?
This mortal coil is filled with despair
Thorns and thistle on a bed of time
Hope must be in the permanent realm
Dying flowers lose their summer light
I seek essence in your sky above
Paths born in the eternal spring
Touch me with life that never ends
Let me hear the bright angels sing
A Woman of God shines for evermore

Ghosts Of The Sea
Calyx of forgotten souls
Crushed in the labyrinth
The sea whispers with ghosts
Cold night of the mariner
I hear the sigh of time
Every cry a breath of starlight
These dreams wash ashore
All your shelter leaves you
She fades like a winters day
No footprints along the tide
Seagulls circle golden history
Baroque poetry elegant as blue
Royal blue filled with radiant love
Ambiguous as the free will
Hard like diamond sextant notions
Under the sea my heart shines
Do we belong too one another?
Will the eastern sun bring us home?
I seek your values
I seek everyman free
I am the poor and frightened
You are the vulnerable
You are the divorced and hurting
We are the ghosts of the living sea
No epithet on the mystic waters
Names in ancient mystery
Caverns deep with leviathan
Wedding rings of the four winds
Empires rage tossed in the waves
Our ship joins mighty Neptune
Mountain villages with lanterns
Kelp and seaweed by our grave
Icy waters of the gracious Irish Sea
Crypts of the dusky Black Sea
For the sea shall give up its dead
A thousand tongues of the wind
We are beneath the pirate ships
Let the tides sing of love
Stars over the mighty Atlantic
Gales howl and we are at peace
Snowmelts like icy rivers of joy
Blending takes brave trust
Closer and wet with volcanoes
Islands swept with hurricanes
We were here and still are
Our candles join the tides
Moonlight eyes stare at me
The wind has called us
Whispering ghosts of the sea

Lamp of Joy
Your hand touches the moonlight
You make the sea tremble
Earth cannot stop the stars
The wicked arm cannot prevent love
My open heart penetrates the night
Music above the badlands
Oak trees with noble cellos
Voices sweeter than songbirds
We meet like rain in the river
Blueberries grow along the lakes
Wolves are beautiful creations
Freedom is always wild
Come rest my love by the sea
Come listen to the tides
Are we not what we see?
Are we not the forest and hills?
Your past whispers like bluebirds
Tonight you are radiant
Love is a journey into the stars
I see the light of eons
Your hair falls like a garden
Your eyes like ancient moonlight
The shadows are warm elves
Tonight is a mystic candle
Romance lights the lamp of joy

My Soul, Afire
The rising sun sets my soul afire
At the dawning of every new day-
I see life as a new beginning-
Cardinals, robins, blue jays and finches
Carry on with their tune as the
Orchestra of a gentle spring like breeze
Rustles the newly unfolded leaves upon every tree-
Alone to enjoy the mystery of the woodlands-
The sun’s rays shining through the
Branches of the maple trees-
Dogwood blossoms both crimson pink and white
Against a sky of cerulean blue
Evoke a chorus from my spirit-
A hymn of freedom and ecstasy, as
My spirit and soul have been reborn.
As the day progresses
I am overcome by fear and
At the noon of the day the sun rises above the mountains
The world comes out from hiding-
This is the time when strangers become invasive,
Clouds overtake the light and
The rain begins to fall.
Thunder would clap and rain would pour downward in a
Spitefully intrusive manner
Quenching the magical flames
That had my spirit and soul dancing to the
Early morning symphony that the world has
Maliciously taken aback-
When the night takes over
I see the full moon ascend over the horizon and the
Stars are bright-
The stars are bright and Mars is a brilliant red while
Venus winks at me with its eyes of green-
Stars and planets are gratifyingly beautiful in their own way, though
Light years away-
If I listen vigilantly-
I can hear ancient music imminent from
The stars and planets in the vastness of the universe as
The moon appears above the treetops-
It shines its light upon me and sets my spirit dancing and once again-
Sets my soul afire-

Doorway
I stand in the doorway to my soul,
The door is locked and you threw away the key,
Please find it in your heart to forgive, then look me in the eye,
Find the key that unlocks the door, let me back in to our soul,
You did it without me but together we can do so much more,
Stay in the light and there will be no night anymore.
The pain is gone the heart is strong,
The future bright with stars and light,
The fear is gone the love is strong,
The love that shines is the eternal mind.
The deepest well has spat me out into the night,
I am lost and blind without your light,
Please be my friend in my darkest hour,
Help me find myself tonight,
The future calls, our pain been heard,
I feel your love like a beacon in the night,
Together we will bring the light to all,
Tarry not for the time is nigh,
Lead me out of this maze, to a new crazy world,
Where brotherhood is true love and friendship reigns,
Where peace comes quickly to those who forgive.
