Wistful Grief

Wishful thinking will not win free world.
Imperative: independent structures here
Should be supported by a vision clear,
Held high with mission statement's flag unfurled.
Forwards friends! Dark future safe seems. Whirled,
Unsure we stumble, freedoms held most dear -
Links open - fragile sink, may disappear.
The rogue Rove Eye spies all, lies. Hope lies curled,
Hides outside oversight. Self-writ frontier,
In two decades of world wide web advance,
Netiquette ignores as censors' terror dance
Knits viral trojan traffic tracing fear.
INternet technologies combine,
Guarantees essential undermine.

Great firewall of China pings I.P.
Rolls back shadow space anonymity,
Info_checkmating hopes for liberty,
Extending control's role, steamrolling the
Free ideals of true humanity.

for previous version Wishful Thin King see below
Wishful thinking will not win the world
Intense the efforts which are needed here,
Shouldered squarely, with a vision clear
Held high with mission statement's flag unfurled.
Forwards towards tomorrow we are whirled
Uncertain, while those freedoms held most dear -
Life's joy - are fragile, may well disappear.
Thin king who leans on others, who lies curled
Half hid within his self writ limits drear.
In one decade of world wide web advance
Netiquette lapses, censorship snaps chance
Kneeding path to progress free from fear.
INternet technologies combine;
Guarantees essential undermine.

What Mission Now?

What mission may the poet still retain
Here in this day and age, which sees the world
As lost as ever, while mankind is whirled
Too fast, and at a pace few can sustain.
Most mask their feelings, shield themselves from pain,
In hope that though no psalms are skywards skirled
Some light can filter through cocoons which, curled,
Shut out most aspirations, which remain
Ideals Man thinks he ought to seek. In vain
Or so it seems, the flag of hope unfurled
Now braves the insults philistine which, hurled,
Nor spare nor temper the poetic vein.
One voice, when clear, will break the glass of Time,
What matter if in free-verse or in rhyme?

Whenever rhyme is crafted on ideas
Heart tunes to rhythm, can effect enhance
Allowing invitation to a dance
That adds dimensions in way that clears
Muddy waters - often verse appears
In ways which heighten, lighten, help advance
Subtle emphasis where words through Chance
Seem to stream together. Inner ears
Intuitive may key to song that steers
Over prose bound limits, elegance
Neat meanings adding through rhyme's happenstance
No forms need hamper thought where heart heart cheers.
Open mind behind the [t]racing pen
Will channel words creating worlds again...

In This World

In this world and of this world,
we wonder whence we came and where to
morrow we will soon be whirled
through three score years and ten. Prepare! Two
moments matter, first cry hurled,
and last sigh [m]uttered, spluttered. There, too,
who remembers foetus curled
or corpse encoffined, both as bare to
any here. What flag unfurled
may wake the winds or ever dare to
show true way the world is twirled,
the how, the why, yet still speak fair... Who? ...

INNER MEANINGS

Refined the mind which seeks to find
inner meanings for the world,
open links as, onwards whirled,
fresh horizons unconfined
are rediscovered. Truth behind
all veils is, like a flag unfurled,
experience intense. Uncurled,
self finds self, Way redefined,
on track for metamorphosis
conjugating “hope” and “is”...

You Needed Me

I cried a tear, you wiped it dry
I was confused, you cleared my mind
I sold my soul, you bought it back for me
And held me up, and gave me dignity
Somehow you needed me.
You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out of my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me.
And I can't believe it's you
I can't believe it's true
I needed you, you were there
I'll never leave, why should I leave?
I'd be a fool, 'cause I've finally found someone
Who really cares.
You held my hand when it was cold
When I was lost you took me home
You gave me hope when I was at the end
And turned my lies back into truth again
You even called me friend.
You gave me strength to stand alone again
To face the world out of my own again
You put me high upon a pedestal
So high that I could almost see eternity
You needed me, you needed me...

Wishful Thinking

Fill up your mind with all it can know
Don't forget that your body will let it all go
Fill up your mind with all it can know
What would we be without wishful thinking
Chambers of chains
With red plastic mouths
The inside of outside
No one has found
How to unring the bell
It's just as well
The turntable sizzles
Casting the spells
The pressure devices
Hell in a nutshell
Is any song worth singing
If it doesn't help
Fill up your mind with all it can know
Don't forget that your body will let it all go
Fill up your mind with all it can know
'Cause what would love be without wishful thinking
Open your arms as far as they will go
We take off your dress
An embarrassing poem
Was written when I was alone
In love with you
I shook down those lines
To shine up the streets
I got up off my hands and knees
To thank my lucky stars that you're not me
What would we be without wishful thinking
What would we be without wishful thinking
What would we be without wishful thinking

Yokohama Go Game

Yokohama meeting will decide
One way or t’other how the Internet
Kneeds the seeds of future growth, or yet
Open closes – senseless suicide.
Here some play games with arguments supplied
Against the need for relevance,
Mission Statement: - some trustees forget
A mandate to stay true to those they guide.
Great expectations most retain world-wide,
Only need new leadership to whet
Game energies to free fair chart, - hearts set
A game of Go, - two overviews collide.
Much hangs upon each single vote – fifteen
Entertain two roads to choose between...

Most Beautiful Woman In The World

She is the most beautiful woman in the world.
Yet! She doesn’t have fancy clothes, or makeup.
She doesn’t even have a first name, nor does she speak.
But people come from all over the world just to see
Our beautiful MISS LIBERTY.

She sits in our harbor and greets all human race
From the air, land, or from the sea
She has become a part of me.
She fills every heart with a warm glow
And day to day she puts on a show.

She stands on a mound with her arm held high
Holding freedoms torch to the sky.
Her robe is the robe of justice
And she wears it quite well
Look at her closely and you can tell.

Freedom is not really free - for you may
Have to fight for liberty
Just open your eyes and look around
Communist nations have fallen to the ground
Arab countries are fighting for their rights
And it is a long and perilous flight
But freedoms bell will forever ring
it is the one and only lasting thing.

Youth’s End

I HAVE held my life too high,
Spring and harvest, love and laughter, smile and sigh.
I should have held it lightly, like a young leaf rent in haste
From the willow in the waste.
A moment in my fingers; then it fluttered, then it fled,
A little flame of red,
To the God-beholding desert where the soundless years go by,–
I have held my life too high.

I have held my death too dear,
Shame or honour, peace or peril, pride or fear.
I should have held it softly, as the little cloud that flies
When the heron takes the skies.
I should have held it kindly as a passing whisper,–'Friend,
Here's the end,
Here the silver cord is loosened and the bowl is broken here,'–
But I held my death too dear.

No more fear

No more fear of survival refuse to live in fear of myself any longer.

No more fear of never being respected or acknowledged by you for who I am.

I will not sarcoma to my fears any longer for I am stronger then I ever dreamed and I will no longer allow my fears to hold me in limbo.

No more screaming in silence or crying with no tears for the end of my silence is here.

No more putting myself through torture for I am ready to heal, my new growth is all around me and I am unsure of what I fear.

No more fear of not being loved for the people who loves themselves has any fear.

No more fear of the unknown for my eyes are wide open and the sky is very clear.

I will only place God Before me for I only exist with him and only he can set me free.

I had fear of being alone, then fear of what could be but I long to face the fears and it does not control me.

No more empty feelings for I know just where to go I will get on my knees, and ask God to bless my soul and take the fear away from me.

No more will I not be heard, if I need to yell or scream it I will say it the way I want but until I am treated right have a voice and I will not have fear of being heard.

No more will I not stand up for me or fear of what was meant to be, no more if being mislead, lost or even feel like I should be dead.

No more of this silly game will I play I love me and maybe you should do the same, I am that woman who has held a family together, who has made you only exit in my world and now no more.

Wishful Heart

Wishful Heart
Wishful Heart
How much pain can you endure?
Hurt you til there's nothing left.. Love Again?
Are you sure?
All the times you stay hopeful to it all
You know very well in the end you always fall
Wishful Heart
Wishful Heart
Are you a fool?
Love the one who will never love you
Broke into a million pieces
some stolen along the way
you care too much
Though they abuse
Still you stay; Pretend covers your bruises
Wishful Heart
Wishful Heart
Where do I begin?
Want to mend you
But you wont give in
afraid of what love just may do
you close your eyes
& pray to god
that this is true.
Wishful Heart
Wishful Heart
Oh I love you so
Not enough to heal your scars
but enough to sew your wounds
I promise, one day you'll have a new start.

No Sorrow Tomorrow

One day there'll be no more sorrow,
One day we'll be free,
One day no one will cry,
One day the blind shall see!

A world where everyone tries,
Ever clear skies,
Where nobody lies,
And no one dies,

One day,
One day all hearts will sing the same song,
One day,
One day our love will be strong,

One day,
One day we'll see the light,
One day,
One day we'll embrace life,

A world where everyone tries,
Ever clear skies,
Where nobody lies,
And no one dies,

One day no one will feel fear,
One day I shall be with you,
One day no one will shed a tear,
One day we'll remain true!

Hold On

I was doomed riding on top a black horse.
Whatever prize there was I could only observe where the troubles starts.
Where does it end?
I cannot be cured...mmm...but if...
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on.
Gave her life away. Put it in my pocket when it should've been framed.
Oh lost it's shine. Gotta' get this out of my head, out of my head.
How could it end...end like this?
I could've been...
I know life would be different had I held on, held on.
I know I could've been something had I held on, held on.
I know I could be something if I held on, held on.
I know life would be different if I held on, held on.
Held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on, held on, if I held on.

Don’t fall little girl

Don’t let them see you cry

Stand tall little girl

Keep your head held high

~

Don’t express little girl

Don’t let them see the pain in your eyes

Walk on little girl

Walk through all those pitiful lies

~

Don’t forget little girl

Don’t let them do it to you once more

Protect yourself little girl

There’s plenty more in store

Don’t hate little girl

That’s what they want you to do

Smile bright little girl

Try you’re hardest to be true

~

Don’t wait little girl

The world will move on without you

Move on little girl

Do what you need to do

~

Don’t look back little girl

You cant change your past

Open your eyes little girl

Enjoy the world while it lasts

~

Live life little girl

Cause you only got one

Laugh loudly little girl

And put down you damn gun

~

You’re me little girl

Haven’t we learned a lot?

But your also them little girl

In each of us you have fought

~

Some call you hope, little girl

You glow dim then turn bright

Some call you dreams, little girl

Thinking of you every night

Cause we both just want to be free

Spacetravel

They're polishing the government
Resembles a last waltz
We are the playthings
We are the form
Soon it may come
Since we can rise
Too long since I've seen you
We move like satellites

My future lies
In space travel
She's coming over me

They're burning the tenements
Topless progressive thinking
Political holes
Got six but pray for seven

My future lies
In space travel
She's coming over me
I employ spies
To stroll the gravel
They never want to leave
The future lies
The future lies
Scared of the government scared of the government

The future lies
In space travel
There's someone after me
I employ spies
In silver tassels
The never seem that pleased

The future lies
The future lies (space)
The future lies
The future lies (space)
The future lies
The future lies (space travel)
The future lies (space travel)

Vivid Imagination

Vivid imagination should expand
Initiative with intuitions shared
Creating strong momentum unimpaired,
Kicking serf's shackles' strong wrongs most minds b[r]and.
Independent spirit seeks no grand
Embroidered mirage where, when fair truth's bared,
K eystone is found unstable, unprepared,
Valueless, - base built from desert sand,
Integrity, rejecting out of hand
Compromise, incompetence declared,
Kidding not! With facts intact compared,
Intelligence rejects cores coarse, mores bland.
Expediency's unhealthy cup of tea,
Key words are: sound, profound, autonomy!

Veracity and clarity combine
Intensely in a mind which hopes for scope,
Creative recognition not soft soap.
Knowledge wide inside retains design
Innate to contemplate true meanings, line
Existence with the will to grow, not mope,
Keeping ideals intact to underline
Vision deep, whose inner light should shine
Incandescent as the heliotrope.
Charming seems surface smile, yet one must cope,
Keel even though some seek to undermine
Innate principles reject weep whine,
Expect top quality not slippery slope,
Karmic energy to intertwine.

Enchanted by an understanding clear,
Awaiting an osmosis warm whose heart
Should share implicitly, ne'er need to start
To challenge for the sake of challenge here.
Creative thinking helps the mind appear
Open free from artificial art,
Arrogance and intolerance which chart
Shipwreck sure, lure siren insincere.
Touched by heart, tomorrow's travels steer,
Gaining trust, towards berth port where part
And whole are one, soul won with Cupid's dart,
Life, laughter, linked as frontiers disappear.
Energy creative shuns despair,
Choice, voice, combined, find mind binds joys hors pair.

Voice for choice in this decisive year
Important is as effervescent mind
Calls for conditions which can leave behind
Kennelled spirits, steer solutions clear,
Interactive, shared. Ambitions dear
Ever forwards, won't be undermined.
Kaleidoscopic colours are refined
Validity few do contest as here
Insightful analyzing inner sphere
Concisely reads, rings conscious bell, not blind,
Keenly while, with sense of humour lined,
Intact light leaps, reaps rainbow's far frontier.
Enchantment Time may challenge where two share,
Keep faith, discard fear's wraith which feeds despair.

Vain or self centred path most people walk
Ignoring true priorities, soul free
Can grasp life's scheme entire, celerity
Karate chop disperses double talk.
Information eyed by kestrel hawk
Effectively is channelled, energy
Kenspeckle boosts associations free,
Vistas vast, change at which will won't balk,
Intuitions armed with points to chalk.
Competence twinned with ability
Kenogenetic challenge seeks 'TO BE'.
Is life not blossoms though most stay sere stalk?
Empathy is expected when zen souls
Ken kinship, tendrils touch, evolve shared goals.

View these few verses here as zephyr breeze
Intent on waking with a warming smile,
Chance to advance sure, set in sonnet style,
Kindling thought waves with surprising ease
In understanding life's priorities
Effectively, with no judgemental trial.
Kidnap mind from distractions for a while,
Vault screens to focus spirit, thence to seize
Idyllic dream which opportunities
Could conjure up to comfort, reconcile,
Kindred souls made whole. Shared qualities
Inspire to higher planes which, by degrees,
Eden attain, horizons clear, worthwhile,
Kismet fete in fashion versatile.

Value judgements are not worth a dime
If driven by defiance, bigotry,
Case for self-reliance, charity
Knocks sects for skittles, welcomes any time
Ideas which swiftly flow, root, grow shoot, climb
Ever upwards as dexterity
Knows neither limits nor severity.
Veracity wins through to space sublime.
Insincerity is held a crime
Counter-productive while vulgarity
Knavish, slavish, seems barbarity
Immature the cure? read on one line
Enthusiastic creativity
Kneels never to blind, dumb comformity!

Virtues self-tribute just acceptance due,
Images spontaneous writ fast,
Clear mirror of potential unsurpassed
Knight offers here in treasured measured cue.
It may to some seem flattery, yet few
Enjoy such inner freedom, made to last.
Knit such strong links, fly truth's flag to the mast,
Venture forth with independent view,
Impressive talents should to self stay true,
Creative spark evolves, survives time's blast.
Knots need untying, never caught aghast
Incisive yet compassionate review
Ends here, these sonnets seek to sing
Knowledge of success in everything!

In Laughter Live

Each one in turn tests life’s allotted cell,
base line from which wills strive to win wide world.
On each Chance, Time, crime's partners, cast fell spell
churn Fortune’s tides, rides so diversely swirled.

What if we seem to prosper for a spell,
do well from womb - too soon in tomb we’re curled,
and what came first, the chicken or its shell?
Oft, final ends surprise, by Time unfurled.

What hope of Heaven if there be no Hell?
We ask, “Could God exist? ” as swift we whirl
across bane bridge Coincidence pell-mell
haphazardly casts on life’s vain pain pearl.

Make every moment matter, dark expel,
in laughter live until death's tocsin knell.

The Union

You that have gathered together the sons of all races,
And welded them into one,
Lifting the torch of your Freedom on hungering faces
That sailed to the setting sun;

You that have made of mankind in your own proud regions
The music of man to be,
How should the old earth sing of you, now, as your legions
Rise to set all men free?

How should the singer that knew the proud vision and loved it,
In the days when not all men knew,
Gaze through his tears, on the light, now the world has approved it;
Or dream, when the dream comes true?

How should he sing when the Spirit of Freedom in thunder
Speaks, and the wine-press is red;
And the sea-winds are loud with the chains that are broken asunder
And nations that rise from the dead?

Flag of the sky, proud flag of that wide communion,
Too mighty for thought to scan;
Flag of the many in one, and that last world-union
That kingdom of God in man;

Ours was a dream, in the night, of that last federation,
But yours is the glory unfurled--
The marshalled nations and stars that shall make one nation
One singing star of the world.

Independence Day

On July the Fourth we celebrate
with fireworks so high.
We shoot them off and watch them
as they burst into the sky
reminding us that rockets were a part
of our history.
As a nation, we were formed with hopes
that we'd all be free,

Free from intolerance, injustice
and religious bigotry.
We started out with all of these
but slowly we did see
that ideals in this country
slowly did they change
and now as fireworks go off
I find it rather strange

that different points of view
that make us who we are,
just like the flag we raise
with each and every star
have eroded the respect we had
from all around the world.
We've made so many enemies
that when our flag's unfurled
it's hard to stop the tears we have
streaming from our eyes.
Let's pray our Independence Day
once again will rise
and become the day it was meant to be
when it first was found
so our children's freedom
will stand on solid ground.

Wishful Thinking

Written by Travis Tritt & Gary Rossington
When you told me you were leaving
Girl I didn't believe a word
'Cause to think that you'd walk out on me
Just sounded too absurd
I'd like to change the things I did
That tore our love apart
But that's just wishful thinking on my part
Chorus:
Well I'm hoping and I'm praying
You'll give me one more try
'Cause it's an awful price I'm paying
With the tear drops that I've cried
I guess I should have listened
If I had only been that smart
But that's just wishful thinking on my part
I found out it's the little things
That made our house a home
You'd be surprised how much I've learned
Every day since you've been gone
But I wished I'd learned that lesson
Before it broke my heart
But that's just wishful thinking on my part
Chorus
Well that's just wishful thinking on my part

CLEANSED

Love cleansed today dreams interplay
complete, spoon, fork and knife,
derides dismay, lined cares which prey
upon brief Beauty’s life.

From disarray love’s here to stay,
towards joy’s light may trace
convincing way, chase cares which weigh
down those who change fear face.

Keep open door, no bad blood pour,
tomorrows true touch base,
hope sets fair score where scope’s shared core
united future grace.

Concord and cheer won’t disappear
when feelings interface
with someone near, who clear will hear
heart, comfort, share embrace.

Thus, change of gear, dissolve false fear,
it seems in any case
enchantment here may re-appear,
admit acceptance, space.

Life’s new frontier in this New Year
lost voice shall now replace,
from drear nights’ wear to fresh light steer,
heartease naught may displace.

Love’s Future Fare

Love yesterday seemed interplay
complete, spoon, fork and knife
that scorned dismay, false on fears does prey
to threaten Beauty’s life.

But try today to feel a way
towards the light don’t trace
heart’s disarray, the fears which weigh,
the weary tears, disgrace.

Don’t close white door let blood red poor
with future fair touch base!
if traitor’s core is known before
tomorrow you may face.

When drugs and beer both disappear
soon feelings interface
with someone near, who clear will hear
heart, comfort and embrace.

So, change of gear, dissolve false fear,
it seems in any case
resentment here needs disappear,
leave hope for scope and space.

Life new frontier will find, my Dear,
Death’s shadow shall replace,
all nights austere to fresh light steer
there’s other fish to chase!
