Tomorrow is another day
Whispers from misfortunes past
from time's breeze soon fade away,
regrets responding to dice cast
lost opportunities gainsay.
Tomorrow is another day
that eyes shan't see to weep or praise,
crushed, hushed, man's vanity can't play
forever, Death's cards scorn bluff raise.
Début to fin, bang to whimper,
soon last gasp clasps passed prey,
nor page heroic, caged rage, simper,
it is time to piper pay.
Debunking myth perpetuation
of harp, winged busker fey's
shell empty, husk's examination
nor sin, nor din displays.
Debutante declines, chants fades out,
eyes close, leave hair as grey
bedraggled. Phantom dreams must flout,
lust non-plussed wastes away.
Debilitation. Curled, unfurled,
from birth to berth our stay
from girlish curls, life's wayward whirls,
chance dance must soon decay.
Debonnaire brain wanes, upper hand
time gains, what's left to say?
Once lofty leaves green, browned, soft land
in mire where no choirs play.
Debased trace, memory; choice numb,
comedy's held at bay,
all's sprawl, small call, thrall palls, voice dumb,
life's raffle, baffled fray.
Debriefing's left to friends bereft,
life's strife, joys pain; dismay
drowns heroes slain unsung, warp weft
from game cleft sans replay.

Far Too Quickly Each Yesterday Fades (Cavatina Sequence)
(after William Shakespeare)
Far too quickly each yesterday fades,
ephemeral
each new tomorrow sweeps past day to day;
a funeral
of new beginnings in recorded time,
in general
like a shadow following waning light,
becoming part of the eventual night.
All life is at the whim of destiny,
were the dice falls
life and death begins and ends as it wills;
men large and small
are actors on a universal stage,
beyond recall
are every happy, sad yesterday
while continually on and on we play.
Oblivion swallows all of our old tales,
as to the rim
the candle of every single life
goes very dim
while nothing is as it had been before,
at mere chance's whim
nothing of significance is left
and of all our substance we are bereft.

Patience
PATIENCE and I have traveled hand in hand
So many days that I have grown to trace
The lines of sad, sweet beauty in her face,
And all its veiled depths to understand.
Not beautiful is she to eyes profane;
Silent and unrevealed her holy charms;
But, like a mother's, her serene, strong arms
Uphold my footsteps on the path of pain.
I long to cry, -- her soft voice whispers, 'Nay!'
I seek to fly, but she restrains my feet;
In wisdom stern, yet in compassion sweet,
She guides my helpless wanderings, day by day.
O my Beloved, life's golden visions fade,
And one by one life's phantom joys depart;
They leave a sudden darkness in the heart,
And patience fills their empty place instead.

Dreamcatcher
There are no dreams that go astray,
there is no duty one must pay,
sleep taps spontaneous recall
unwraps capped limits one and all,
discarding strictures though men say
obey.
Fey mind behind blind mask may rise
to challenge stereotypes, surprise.
Imagination's magnet makes
light of past downcast, fast mistakes,
inner orbits [b]ring twinned sway
night, day.
One hand may weave a web as fine
as silken spider's, line by line,
mind mesmerized, net-knit, winged, may
hoodwink [l]one hand when interplay
is woken by unspoken sign
today.
As Milky Way's spun stars combine
in silver necklace, gems divine,
truth's words through time may overlay
poetic inspiration's play
to lay foundations, redesign
the Way.
Soul peeps dream satchel deep, supplies,
stimulation to catalyze
synchronicity shared around,
with naught held back, naught to impound
as ransom - superficial sighs
that weigh.
Thus thoughts may roam, float far from home
from land to land, from foam to foam,
as spirit insight unlocks keep -
restraining order - thence to leap
converting into polychrome
joy's day.
Dreams hyphonate what could be/come
with what stays still, forever dumb,
retain the reins of destiny
so reign's refrain's sustained, stays free.
There is no hardfast rule of thumb
in play.
Some inspirations answer prayer,
some aspirations bubble air,
most memories dissolve at dawn
though some persist, won't be foresworn.
If 'Anything' is 'Everywhere'
one may
convert mysterious phantom mime
into enlightenment to climb
towards tomorrow and expect
rewards not sorrow some project
or interject as paradigm
passé.
Pale horse as Pegasus is seen
to set scene for door unforseen -
adventures which advance to chance
no sharp indentures - circumstance
highlights freewill, none pastures green
gainsay.
Thus dreams bring close what far away
appeared beforehand, interplay
between right brain and left can link
cause and effect beyond the brink
of s[cr]een horizon's [s]way with fey
display.

Ladybird
Bright orange lady floating on her back,
Lost and drowning until I brought you back,
Almost to late to extend your fate,
I blew away your tears and my fears,
Settled in the sun you no longer look so glum,
What a way to start my day,
If I could only hear your voice,
I could try to shape your next choice,
I left you alone on a green leaf,
Hoping that there would be no need for grief,
Next time I came along you were gone,
Flown away to live another day,
The smallest thing, quite by chance,
I saved it's life and it made me dance,
Life's grace lit my face,
Fear gone without a trace!
So life turns around and around,
You to me, we are all bound,
Spirit lives and guides us all,
Even when we fall!
So when life is a grind,
Turn away from your mind,
Follow your heart, for faith is strong,
It will take you to where you belong!

Trauma Of Time
Time Fades The Smile, Not The Pain.
Time Drains The Water Not The Damage From The Rain.
Time Fades The Tomorrow Not The Yesterday.
Time Fades The Cuts But The Scars Never Go Away.
Time Fades The Sweetness Not All The Things Sour.
Time Fades Those Few Precious Moments But Not The Crippling Hour.
Time Fades The Sun, Not It’s Brutal Remains.
Time Fades The Photographs Not There Stains.
Time Fades The Lessons Not All The Things That I’ve Learned.
Time Puts Out The Fire But Not The Days I Burned.
Time Fades The Colors Not The Glaring White.
Time Fades The Bruises Not The Darkness In The Night.
Time Fades The Happiness Not The Tears.
Time Fades The Triumphs Not The Fears.
Time Fades The Storm Not The Ocean.
Time Fades The Memories Not The Emotion.
Time Fades The Dreams Not The Nightmare.
Time Fades The Hand Not The Times You Weren’t There.
Time Fades The Beauty Not The Gloom.
Time Fades The Doors And Windows Not The Empty Room.
Time Fades The Love Not The Empty Lie.
Time Fades The Hello But Never The Goodbye.

A Dark Chapter
Joy has been left for a reason
Order will blind me
Hand me the chance will I take it
And play the game
No need no guilt for tomorrow
Now counting down for
Ending this task shall I torment
Standing in grace
Gone I will find myself lost
And still reach the top
Yesterday was reality
Lord I will sacrifice life
Is this fear undisguised
Standing outside a fatal scene
Walking through mist and the shadows
Close to this crossroad
Choosing the way for a future
Lies in our hands
Move on don't stop nor give up
No time, no waiting
Sentenced to reach, be a dreamer
Now hear my calls
Gone I will find myself lost
And still reach the top
Yesterday was reality
Lord I will sacrifice life
Is this fear undisguised
Standing outside a fatal scene
Hope shall guide us forever
Grant me time for our answer
Patronized, fragile dreams must stay alive
Hope shall guide us forever
Grant me time for our answer
Patronized, fragile dreams must stay alive
Think what's beyond this darkness
Waiting for answers
I will believe in my future
Dreams lies within
Bring me joy, bring me freedom
Bring me some conscience
Leave me with strength and respect
Lead me through pain
Gone I will find myself lost
And still reach the top
Yesterday was reality
Lord I will sacrifice life
Is this fear undisguised
Standing outside a fatal scene
Nothing you say, will change things
Grief from within still teach me
All of my past, in vain
Dark turns to light, turns to night-time
Seduced by a life so far from here
Now desolates from within
Bring back the joy take me back again,
Away from deception and pain
I'm aware, alone we are facing the dark
Chow me the way, guide me in the storm,
Care for me bring me some light
I am awake, alone we're waiting the dark
I am awake, alone we're waiting
Hope shall guide us forever
Grant me time for our answer
Patronized, fragile dreams must stay alive

Misunderstood
Little old man contemplates
Suicide twice a day
Lifes passed him by
Little old woman scared and blind
Left alone in desperate times
Lifes passed her by
(chorus)
Oh, life its misunderstood them
So they close their eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood, yeah
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Little boy with vacant eyes
Daddy wont be home tonight
And he dont know why
His mother she sits alone
Tangled in the web shes sewn
She lives lie to lie
(chorus)
Strangled, caged, left alone
Doin time in a broken home
Feelin left to die
Im a product of your troubled ways
You made me what I am today
Now youre askin why
Oh, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of better days
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair or so they say
Restless soul deep inside
Searches for some piece of mind
Livin just to die
Im an angry man I always have
Had to fight to survive my past
Sign of these times
Life, its misunderstood me
And I know, know youve been there too
Time lets a restless soul fade away
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Yeah, life its misunderstood me
So I close my eyes
And dream of a better day
Oh, life its misunderstood me
Lifes not always fair
Lifes not always fair
Or so they say
Little boy with hopeful eyes
Daddys comin home tonight
So dont you cry

Two Ways To Play
Somethin' crossed my mind again
You were in my eyes
It was somewhere out by Bombay
And I'm tellin' all those lies
I've been there and you've been there
And there ain't no mistake
We could take it anyway
But the one thing we can't fake
There's just two ways to play
Just two ways to play
And I don't want to stay
There's just two ways to play
And I'm gonna play it right, this time
Yeah
There's always the easy numbers
There's those hard ways too
There's those cheaters blunders
It's either one of two
But fortune telling's mezmorizing
In the game of chance
But rollin' dice ain't sympathizing
When you play romance
There's just two ways to play
Just two ways to play
And I don't want to stay
There's just two ways to play
I can't control the numbers
I can't control your sexy ways
I can't control my inner thunder
It makes me want????????
Two ways to play
There's Just two ways to play
There's just two ways to play
There's just two ways to play
I'm gonna play it right this time
There's two ways to play
There's just two ways to play
Two ways to play
There's just two ways to play
And I don't want to stay
There's just two ways to play

Left behind...by Meena Mustafa
Leaves may wither, flowers may die, seasons may change and time may fly
The clouds I see up in the sky, brings the rain and miseries why?
I tried my best as a child at play
No worries did I have and enjoyed each day
I could run my fastest but still get beat
At times I would land on my head not feet
But what is it that was stuck in my mind?
The wish never to be left behind.
Time flew by with a blink of an eye
Mysteries unfold...there's nothing to lie
The harder I was thrown...the higher I bounced
Nothing came easy as it was all pronounced
Name it as destiny or the state of mind
I tried my best never to be left behind
Now after all these years I see the grey
Wrinkled skin...no child at play
My frail body and humbled soul
With time my life has taken its toll
My existence slowly fades away
In the midst of darkness, I kneel and pray
I pray for strength... I pray for life
I pray for my loved ones to be by my side
'Cause I fear being left alone or left behind.

This Is Your Time
It was a test we could all hope to pass
But none of us would want to take.
Faced with the choice to deny God to live,
For her, there was one choice to make.
This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.
This was her time...
Though you are mourning and grieving with us,
Death died a long time ago;
Swallowed in life so that life carries on.
Still its so hard to let go.
This was her time. this was her dance.
She lived every moment; left nothing to chance.
She swam in the sea; drank of the deep;
Embraced the mystery of all she could be.
What if tomorrow, and what if today,
Faced with the question,
Oh what would you say?
This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Follow the mercy and hear yourself praying.
Wont you save me?
Wont you save me?
This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.
This is your time. this is your dance.
Live every moment. leave nothing to chance.
Swim in the sea. drink of the deep.
Embrace the mystery of all you can be.
This is your time...
(wont you save me? )
(this is your time)
(wont you save me? )

Ghosts
Last passing leaves leave, life's page sage admires,
most boasts are ghost hosts, post haste phantom choirs,
now tripping, hesitant, upon life’s board,
stillborn, denying deepest heart’s desire.
As puppets men, leaves, dance upon branch wire
taut from birth to death, - staged play's proved liar,
taught to act but not to BE! - the sword
of Fate each early, late, must all retire.
For few dare seek the stars, or yet aspire
for freedom, seldom glance above their mire,
fear chloroforming chlorophyll cuts cord
that holds life's journey from horizons higher.
The burning bush survived the blazing fire,
and witness stands to God the purifier, -
yet oil on troubled waters oft is poured
as Fall to Winter wanes, frost snaps high-flyer.
Lifes leaves soon grieve, deceived by Summer, ire
replacing lush greens flush, Time sees misfire
intimations of immortality
when verdant vibrance turns red, brown, then mire.
Life is too short, who strums soul poet’s lyre
must tame frame's vagrant strings. Sole versifier
intensely seeks sense off the fence, each chord
in tune with Autumn moon runes' mortal quire!
Leaves drop, hearts stop, in season all retire
from green-scene bud to has been dud quagmire,
so little space to race then silent doom,
strum still tombed, dumb will catacombed entire.

GHOSTS
Few passing strangers may the sage admire,
as most are ghosts without a phantom choir,
now tripping, hesitant, upon life’s board,
stillborn, denying e’en their heart’s desire.
Most men as puppets dance upon a wire
taut from birth to death, - to play as liar,
taught to act but not to BE! - the sword
of Fate each early, late, must all retire.
For few dare seek the stars, or yet aspire
for freedom, seldom glance above their mire,
for eighty, maybe ninety years life’s cord
they tread and never aim at something higher.
The burning bush survived the blazing fire,
and witness stands to God the purifier, -
yet oil on troubled waters oft is poured
by those who shun each prophet as a liar.
Life is too short, who strums the poet’s lyre
must tame the vagrant strings. The versifier
must seek deep harmony where every chord
in tune responds to feelings all inspire!

On Time and Space after T.S. Eliot
If Space and Time through ages weigh
thing that have been or might
bear decay, Sun's seeming might
will flare then fade one day.
So why, fair dove, waste time to play
when you should LIVE, soul free?
The butterfly that lives a day
tips synchronicity.
The blooms bedecked with bright dawn's dew
may tremble on the vine,
Time conquers all who nectar knew
bee, blossom, tree, root, all sign
haste chase to pluck anew
life's sweets before defeat's slow pine,
Yet days of love transform the few
to many spells divine.
If Time and Space mock sage page play,
dreams' beams may cause to be
'in grain of sand' eternal stay
prismatic creativity.
Transcend Time's strictures, sects which lay
down laws sans cause nor reason:
Exception proves life's rules, life's ray
for you may know no season.

Together
Refrain
Together forever for all the time
Together we welcome the secret sign
Together in freedom we take the chance
Together forever we will be friends
Refrain 2
We are what we are - Together
And we went so far - Together
We are what we are - Together
We all long for a land to be free
Verse 1
The promised land is close to you
The rain is gone, the sky is blue
Hand in hand we can survive
Were fighting for a better life
Bridge:
Its a new generation
Without hate and frustration
Promised land, promised nation
Without pain, without control
Verse 2:
Planet earth is our place
Insanity is lost in space
A world of dreams is what we share
Where honesty is in the air
Rap:
Together forever for all the time
Together we welcome the secret sign
Together in freedom we take the chance
Together forever we will be friends

The Benefits of Chemotherapy
No hair to cut, blow-dry or wax
No eyebrows screaming to be plucked
No vanity to cultivate or tend.
No weight of desire, secure against
The blandishments of an erotic age,
Your energy too low to run your debts.
But there's sufficient time to clear the mind
And, while statistics do not speak as one
Your life might be prolonged, you might be saved.
Yes, time to figure out a lobster roll
Time to write a more reflective poem
To read the history books you choose
To discover where and who you've been
And trace the future hidden in your skin.
Time to call lost friends and greet
The people in the next-door chairs
Make promises to meet again next week.
You can watch the spectral votes being cast
And lost or stolen on TV
And study all the details in the press.
You can stay indoors, indefinitely
Avoid the draft of mendacity
While studying a Tennessee Williams play.
Whether any one of us is cured?
Who knows, maybe yes, we all are.
Statistics are ambiguous, like I said.
Just ensure your nausea Meds are good
Allow yourself comfort. Be reassured:
There is so much more to life than death.

Thank You for the Memory
My body tingles as I lay there still feeling your body wrapped around mine
I close my eyes and notice that there is nothing I can do but dream
For you have left me here with nothing but a memory
A memory of what we had what we were
A memory of nothing more at this time nothing to have to look forward to
My heart aches as I open my eyes and turn to see nothing but an empty bed
The scent of you makes me wonder what could have been
It makes me wonder what went so wrong
We had something that could never be replaced and not it has vanished right before my eyes
You think that the memory will be nothing more than a picture
They say “A memory will last a life time”
I say “A memory will only last a life time as long as you can keep it alive inside of your heart”
There is one thing that should be said
Thank You for the memory that will last me a lifetime of joy

Loneliness Revealed
Loneliness apart from countless charms -
0nly sadness stays. Once each other's arms
NEw joys announced each day. Naught comforts heart
Lonely left bereft, dreams far apart.
Intense pain reigns, lost happiness disarms
Novel's happy ending, singed sing no psalms.
Eternal dark shrouds quest for counterpart -
Sole way where soul-play joins twinned yin-yang part,
Sharing warp weft web, uniting palms
Remaining clasped together. Heart's hope
Essence singed, once spanned heart's spectrum chart.
Vain is nostalgia, nothing can impart
Essential emotions Time's effect embalms
As memories are deep-frozen. Nothing calms.
Links two once knew seem closed, dreams put on ice,
EDited out is tender wedding white.

The State Of Play
There is a choice to be made here
There is a will to be known
Either you live your own life or
Follow wherever I go
Nothings forever
And maybe Ill lonely cause you pain
Nothings forever
Or will we remain?
So tell me whats the state of play
Do I leave or do I stay
Tell me whats the state of play
Do you love, do you love, do you love me?
Tell me your darkest of secrets
Offer no thread of a lie
For if theres a key to the future
Youre looking him right in the eyes
Nothings forever
And time always changes everything
Nothings forever
From pauper to king
Do I leave or do I stay
Nothings forever, forever, forever, forever
Forever and ever

Why Care? - 0781 - Current Verion
Life: a blossom spray,
or brooch on happy heart
sparkles, flirtations start,
blaze won't fade away.
Life: magic mantle, ray
song, sadness may impart,
verse easing pain and smart,
coat coloured, never grey.
Life: breeze fresh each day.
Though friends may part
pains soon forgot, we chart
delight cares pipes away
Why grieve? - Why care?
before you leave give, share.
Life: mirage - though men pray
Heaven, thence daren't depart
Is Earth Hell's counterpart?
What dreams chase life's fray?
Life: pot turned from base clay, -
sand serving as rampart
till Time's tide urns upstart.
Who's pot, who's potter, say?
Life: lass who everyday
rep[l]ays a petty part,
when stark, untouched by art,
would still prolong her stay.
Why grieve? - Why care?
before you leave give, share.
Life: sea breeze fresh and gay
which none should take apart,
cake we bake à la carte
too soon is burnt anyway.
Life blooms a day - make hay,
Time daily steals a part
upsets the applecart
till eyes close, break of day.
Life's stream swift flows to bay
waters rose, thorn, to dart
here, there, till final fart
blows everything away...
Why grieve? - Why care?
before you leave give, share.
