The Zoo's Closure
The skirmishing is ended, Council Members
Have played their final, unconvincing act.
Each teller calls the tally, fair, exact.
Zoo fellows have – like Phoenix from its embers –
Opened up their spleen vents, each remembers –
Or thinks he does – how things stood once, reach
Schoolchildishly against the Council sacked.
Creative thinking’s absent. Each dismembers,
Looking backwards, far from chill Decembers,
Our ‘salad days’ [cheap fiction]! For the fact
Still stands that vital funding still is lacked.
Unluckily retrenchment waits. September’s
Requested General Meeting whets the sickle,
Entrapped is Council in its pretty pickle.

Any Human Rights Council reform that allows countries that sponsor terrorism to remain as members, such as Cuba, is not real reform. And in the past, countries such as Libya, Iran and Syria have participated on this council.

The progress in Iraq is still fragile. And it could still be reversed. Iraq still faces innumerable challenges, and they will be evident during what will likely be a difficult process as the newly elected Council of Representatives selects the next prime minister, president, and speaker of the council.

Human Rights Violations
Human rights violations continue to plague the UN,
But their Human Rights Council is not bothered now, nor was it then,
As they publish serious distortion of actual events,
Their gang rapes goings on over there were people live in tents.
Despite some of their friends being involved in genocide - no report,
Even after being indicted by the International Criminal Court,
The whole UN and their Human Rights Council seem corrupt,
Canada’s forbidden entry to their Council was fierce and abrupt.
Their bent press releases are unadulterated propaganda,
We should pull out of their glass building, their wars, and their agenda,
These suggestions are unacceptable at the UN, I know,
But why should our democracy receive blow after blow?

Lift up your voice
Time waits on time till Cause, Effect combine.
Here is not [t]here until the watershed
Encounters catalyst, may move ahead,
Then fiction, fact, may interact, align.
Under calm show, strong currents flow, entwine
Retwisted skeins till Chance’s every thread
New turns invents, ‘synes-tricks’ plays, till sped
Is moving finger’s writ, line by dread line.
No cheap return is offered here, tears brine
Gain no remission, judgements are gainsaid.
Played through each hand, till final card is spread –
One can’t job backwards, rain transform to shine.
In such a maze are individuals caught,
The answer lies within, - unfound when sought...
The title seems so vital for each soul
alive should strive for principles not sit
as silent witness on the fence where wit
is wanting, wanting flame, name, aim or goal
or fickle fortune's hostage swallowed whole
as time absorbs most rhyme when limelight spit
finds other food to roast as life we quit.
The voice for choice should sound not squeak as mole
in tunnels dark, marked only by bite bit
emergent - soon submerged, which can't transmit
the truth, if truth exists, but begging bowl
hands out for mirror money which Time's glass
in passing soon effaces from life's grass.

The UN has lost it Oct 3rd,2012

If we pulled out of the UN; who would care and who would know?
Most of the time, it appears to be no more than a game show,
Where despot dictators can put on an international display,
And pretend that they are the good guys that we should never betray.
They refused to let us into on their Security Council crowd,
Did this decision make them feel better and much more proud?
I realize all politicians want a UN appointment there,
Another reason to get away from the whole UN affair.
After being banned from their Security Council; how low can we go?
Should we tell them we're leaving or should we just walk away slow?
See if they even care or even know that we have gone,
The many despot dictators continuing with their UN con.

Tumbleweed Chalet.
There it was
A parafin coloured shack
All locked up and black.
Hidden amongst the trees.
A sort of don`t you see me.
But the river gave it
A mild reflection
And the fishermen
Were half-dozing
In the midday sun.
It`s the son of
Tumbleweed chalet.
Just like the old days.
I dreamt i was
A cowboy
Leaning on it`s broadwalk
Further on i went
Into the weeds.
Half a dozen ghost towns`
Strangled and forgotten please.
By council demand-
This land is private!
My feet fell through
Fallen canvas ceilings,
That lay upon the floor.
It`s the son
Of a tumbleweed chalet,
And maybe i am the valet
Or the wild cat
That darts in and out.
Half a broken gate
Leads to another
Ruin innate.
Punctured mattresses,
Cracked glass,
Daubed walls,
Turned over tables.
By council demand-
This land is private
And overrun!

Locating Weapons Of Mass Destruction
Who is responsible?
Responsible for globally
perceived as general
flouting of United Nations
Security Council resolutions?
As our esteemed world’s
solution supposed
pre-eminent
peace-keeping body?
What’s up?
Where is de problem?
Where solutions?
Iraq agreed to UN searches.
Weapons of mass destruction
were US Bush administration;
fabricated sold news wholesale
justification for invading Iraq!
Saddam never possessed WMD’s
in close to huge stockpiles
never found never existed
coalition forces used WMD’s!
A single combat ready
stalking American aircraft
carrier is a supreme fleet
strike mother load
weapons platform
of mass destruction!

One Flew Over the UN Cuckoo's Nest
Our politicians, bureaucrats and appointees want to stay,
They like it in NY at the UN and don’t want to move away,
But Canada was turned down for a Security Council place,
Indeed this appears like a terrible UN slap in the face.
So somehow, somewhere along the way, the UN went out of gear,
With their Durban I, their Durban II, and Durban III next year,
It looks like they are using Ahmadinejad as a guide,
There was a time when it appeared that we were all on the same side.
Durban III timed for start of UN General Assembly next year,
So all heads of states will be on hand while many others just leer,
Meeting to promote anti-Semitism and hatred for Jews,
The UN should be closed down now because it has ceased to amuse.
