The Good Old Days
How really were the ways
painted in poets’ plays,
the sunsets and the suns
set out in Cadmus’ songs?
The lyre, the ancient lays,
the sages’ interplays?
They covered countless wrongs,
the misery of the throngs.
The pauper now repays
the rich for serf’s harsh thongs.
I write on in my rhymes
about our former times,
to which some turn with awe -
misplaced nostalgia! -
to comment on the crimes,
the sweeps, the Mr. Grimes.
We’ve travelled very far
from carthorse to the car, -
though children still shaft mines -
few coal for railway lines.
The 'Good Old Days' it seems,
remembered from our dreams,
show slight reflection bright
when held up to the light.
So though now trouble teems
distorting climate streams -
as we are warmed at night,
asleep and tucked up tight,
dreams remain but dreams, -
Reality’s in...sight!

Bright Eyes Gleam
My days are spent in trances
while all my nightly dreams
no light know where your glances
are absent, their bright gleams
reverse sad circumstances
as sharing's warming streams
link heart to heart. The chance is
enchanting as Life's schemes
respond to Love's advances
in harmony which beams
from both as spark advances
from Earth to Air like steam
ascending as romance is -
like strawberries and cream
or never ending dances
dreams populate as teems
imagination, - stance is
as mirrored damascene, -
sublime state which perchance is
of all life’s joys supreme
that happiness enhances
when eyes cue bright eyes' gleam …

Dreams...Rivers Of The Night
Dreams are rivers of the night
A place in which the mind shakes free
The conscious bands that hold us tight
And sails us out into mystery
Maiden voyages into seas so deep
Vivid montages of experience strange
Not bound by banks within to keep
Nor limits set within to range
Suspension of reason, dwells in the night
Helplessly carried upon dreams cold river
Exposed to experience, never allowed in daylight
Strange deeds, strange thoughts, make us shiver
If Dreams are rivers of the night
Then what are days, just what might they be?
Which one is false…and which is right?
And in which one would you rather be?
For who can say beyond a doubt
Which is reality and which is not
Is awake really being up and about
Or is dreaming of being awake… our lot
If Dreams are rivers of the night
Then could days be dreams of another kind?
Could the rivers of the night be the true and the right
And days a nightmare to which we’re blind
Dreams are rivers of the night
That’s what most people would say
Tell me I‘m dreaming…show me the light
It seems like a nightmare…show me the way

Fountain of Dreams
FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS
From dreams into reality
Reeled frames unpeel hopes' filmy foam,
Open imagination, roam
More, more than most may ever see.
Fast flicker fades apparently,
Or maybe finds a second home
Urging inner honeycomb -
Neuronal mind mass - subtly
To rediscover harmony
As drops pull out all stops to free
Insight bright of starry dome
Newborn, untorn, in polychrome
Offering serendipity
From here until eternity.
Dreams' rainbow bridges sea to sea.
REal dress rehearsal thus provide,
AMalgamating in/outside.
Splice light to life's soft symphony.

In My Dreams
(paul kennerley)
When the sun goes down on the other side of town tonight
And the world is asleep dreamin in the deep moonlight
Ill slip away in the shadows out of your life
You dont want me anymore so Ill close the door when I leave
My bags are packed and Ill give you back your keys
You keep your ring and Ill keep your memory
But in my dreams at night... oh...oh
Everything will work out right
cause Ill still hold you tight... in my dreams
Well, its hard to take when love breaks down and dies
But its better to quit than to sit each nite and cry
Id rather know the truth than to live thru a life of lies
But in my dreams at night... oh...oh
Everything will work out right
cause Ill still hold you tight... in my dreams
Maybe its for the best to give this love of ours a rest
But Ill come runnin back if you want me
Well, bye bye baby it seems that were all thru
You sure know how make this little girl blue
When you say you dont want the things I can do for you
But in my dreams at night... oh...oh
Everything will work out right
cause Ill still hold you tight... in my dreams
In my dreams at night... oh...oh
Everything will work out right
cause Ill still hold you tight... in my dreams

A Poem of Many Dreams...
Middle class dreams
Can only assume wings
And fly across fancy-sky
Dreams remain dreams
Dreams with wings
Fly away beyond...
Dreams absorbed
Remain within
To follow the dreamer
Dreams dead
Turn into ghosts
Suspended in the air
They pervade mind's grave
Haunting the dreamer in the night...

Sweet Dreams
Sweet dreams are made of many things
The different thoughts that we constantly think
The very things that that lie in our fantasies
And create a thought that's tenaciously sweet
That we savor so much while soundly asleep
Things that can only happen in dreams
My sweet dreams are made of you
The perfect moments and the perfect gloom
The perfect place and the perfect dream
But whatever could be more perfect than you?
Is only what I can conjure in my sleep
Life is a reality and dreams are the opposite
It's the time we find peace from every worry
It's a place where every story has a happy ending
It's a place where every person has a chance to be happy
It's a place where you and I have a happy ending
A cradle song before we sleep
And escape the grimes of reality
And the things that keep you away from me
Life is a reality and dreams are the opposite
Dreams are the sweetest and life is life
In my dreams you and I are happy
But in reality... life is life.
Sweet dreams are made of many things
And mine are made of you

The girl of my dreams
I met the girl of my dreams
I held her, I love her, but that wasn’t a dream
She made me feel so special inside
Now I feel like a failure inside
The girl of my dreams was so pretty and pure
The girl of my dreams was so perfect
The girl in my dreams is everything I want
The girl in my dreams is everything that is right
The girl in my dreams talked with me
The girl in my dreams is named Dee
The girl in my dreams showed me who I am
The girl in my dreams showed me what love is
The girl in my dreams showed me how to love
The girl in my dreams I love so much
The girl of my dreams I love you so
The girl of my dreams I hate that you let go
The girl of my dreams you are so rare
The girl of my dreams you for me
The girl of my dreams without life doesn’t seem right
The girl of my dreams without you why put up the fight
The girl of my dreams without you I am not whole
The girl of my dreams without you I feel like I am in a hole.
The girl of my dreams, you are for me
The girl of my dreams is Dee.

Another Shade Of Reality
Hold tight the night
Embrace the dark
Lit only by Luna's
Lambent spark
Keep tight the lids
So not to see
A ray of light
Not meant to be
For in the dark
Dreams can be
Another shade of
Reality
And a world as bright
Without the light
Of velvet black
Dark things to see
Enjoy the world
Of ebon deep
Dreams of wonder
In your sleep
Push away the day
That world so bright
Embrace the dark
Hold tight the night

Dreams To Remember
Artist(Band):Robert Palmer
(Print the Lyrics)
I got dreams, dreams to remember
I got dreams, dreams to remember
Honey I saw you there last night
Another man's arms holding you tight
Nobody knows how I felt inside
All I know is I walked away and cried
I got dreams, dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw you kiss him again and again
These eyes of mine they don't fool me
Why did he hold you so tenderly
I got dreams, dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
I got dreams, dreams to remember
I still want you to stay
I still love you anyway
I don't want you to ever leave
Girl - you just satisfy me
I know you said he was just a friend
But I saw you kiss him again and again
These eyes of mine they don't fool me
Why did you hold him so tenderly
I got dreams, dreams to remember
Ooh dreams
Brok'n dreams
Don't help each other
Bad dreams
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember
Dreams to remember........

She Believes (In Me)
While she lays sleeping
I stay out late at night and play my songs
And sometimes all the nights can be so long
And it's good when I finally make it home,
All alone
While she lays dreaming
I touch her face across the silver light
I see her dreams that drift up to the sky
And she wakes up to my kiss ,and i say it's alright
And i hold her tight
Chorus:
And she believes in me
I'll never know just what she sees in me
I told her someday if she was my girl
I could change the world...With my songs
I was wrong
But she has faith in me
And so I go on trying faithfully
Forever in my heart she will remain
And i hope and pray
I will find a way....find a way
While she lays waitin
I ask myself why do i hurt her so
Whats calls me on along this lonely road
Why don't i turn around and head back home
Where i belong
While she lays cryin
Cause she knows my heart is ripped in two
I'm torn between the things that i should do
She deserves it all , and i'd give it if i could
That a love is true
Chorus:
Cause she believes in me
I'll never know just what she sees in me
I told her someday if she was my girl
I could change the world
With my songs
But i was wrong
But she has faith in me
And so I go on trying faithfully
Forever in my heart she will remain
And i hope and pray
I will find a way....find a way
While she lays
while we waits for me

Vanishing Dreams
Hold on tight
Shed some light
Wet your apetite
Do not let them slip away
Or they start to lose their colour
day by day, year by year
Right into thin air
There you stand
You seem to have forgotten
Once when you were a little boy
Building castles of dreams with joy
There you now stand
You front, inspired by fustration
Surrounded by countless restrictions
Vanishing Dreams
Fading away quietly into empty streams
It is easy to give in without a bother
Lose your freedom in a common fashioned order
While your dreams vanish one after the other
Our sons and daughters
are still cradling them
Nurturing their stems
On their own conditions and terms
So hold on tight
Wet your apetite
Make your dreams come true
While there is still light

In Dreams
Roy orbison
A candy-colored clown they call the sandman
Tiptoes to my room every night
Just to sprinkle stardust and to whisper
Go to sleep. everything is all right.
I close my eyes, then I drift away
Into the magic night. I softly say
A silent prayerlike dreamers do.
Then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.
In dreams I walk with you. in dreams I talk to you.
In dreams youre mine. all of the time were together
In dreams, in dreams.
But just before the dawn, I awake and find you gone.
I cant help it, I cant help it, if I cry.
I remember that you said goodbye.
Its too bad that all these things, can only happen in my dreams
Only in dreams in beautiful dreams.

Many Roads Await
Many links extended, t[r]end outwards into light,
As rainbow drops descended dispense due dew delight.
New roads must be defended to stimulate, rewrite
Years starting, for years ended show slight reflection bright.
Right, wrong, misapprehended, are neither black nor white,
Out and inside when [bl]ended, intolerance indict.
As wheels turn, Time, suspended, prepares for further flight,
Dream theme streams are intended to startle, day and night.
Spread is each page portended as message to incite
All walls to fall, bridge mended, ways narrow dynamite
With fervence unpretended so men worldwide unite.
All roads to Rome, befriended, help ease the people's plight
Imply toil, tears expended gain better world in sight.
Tomorrow's tracks extended just future must invite.

Bedtime Stories (Good Night)
The night is young and so are we,
My fairy tale of you and me will again soon be a reality.
Trials and tribulations we must encounter,
It do not matter so longst we live happily ever after.
I am doing the necessary for this to come true,
Good night and no I love you.
Sweet Dreams.
I was falling (in love) and now I am in (love) ,
I am enjoying it I do not want it to end.
You say I should explore,
There is no need to because it is you I adore.
Good night and sweet dreams 'ma baby',
I love you sincerely.
You make me want to write,
You make me always smile.
It's a bit to much,
Know its a reflection of your love.
I think of you daily,
In my mind you will always be 'Ma Baby'.
I just do not want to have our memory,
I yearn to be called your Official Lady.
All that's missing is time.
Everyday I ask myself is this day gonna be the day you ask me to deal,
Baby my words to you are undeniably real.
And you my love I would never deceive.
Have a blessed night and sweet dreams.
Last night I had a nightmare,
You spoke as if you do not care.
It's ok because we both have our good and bad days.
I am still loving you the same way.
Lets put this behind us,
No need to open Pandora's Box.
I am not avoiding it,
I ain't pretending this attitude do not exist.
It's apart of who you are.
My love I thought long and hard, far and wide,
Of something that would make you automatically smile.
Good night. I love you and Sweet Dreams.
You are precautious because your all is at stake,
I know this and it is your heart I want to take.
Never to give it back,
Do not worry with me you will always stay on track.
You already have mine, probably you not it,
I can tell because your actions sometimes show it.
With me your heart is treated like royalty,
Never sad and ever happy.
Sweet Dreams.
My tall, dark, knight and shining amour,
Yours truly Anita Forever.
Good Night.

Aura of Felicity
He meets by chance he’ll ever bless
a maiden, and some hidden hand
unveils an inner loveliness
too few take time to understand.
Time stands stock still, clock can't progress,
as second sight's embracing strand
second-thoughts disbands - caress
sends shivers through pores which expand.
His promise, through her presence, grows
to match the merits in her eyes,
to blushing envy turns flush rose
acknowledging true Paradise.
They flow together, former woes -
in ways no verse may summarize -
replaced by links no blinds can close
metamorphosis supplies.
Thought trains awake dreams skeins asleep,
her aura haunts him day and night,
one image still will senses sweep
with wonder, worship, and delight.
Warm aura rippling, rich and deep,
excites, incites to more insight,
love's neurones bridge synaptic leap
like salmon fording stream, scales bright.
Drawn by strong dreams nightlong he longs –
most humble where he most aspires –
to offer sacred, secret songs
to her he honours and desires
where 'we belong' may know no wrongs,
all echoes joy's celestial choirs,
where happiness itself prolongs,
no guarantees, no pleas requires.
Her graces make him rich. He’d ask
no golden ring engraven while
he may not prove himself to task
the equal of that precious smile.
Meanwhile would pleasure find and bask
in soft reflection, reconcile
hopes, fears, fears, hopes, and, shedding mask,
beguiled by feelings versatile.
He aims to catch flame's eye, perform
some labour, famed reward immense,
anticipates ways to transform
bright bloom in new-born innocence
to future shared, trust crystal clear.
Hope holds key to true happiness.
He trembles, mixing joy and fear,
would stand beside her, nothing less...

Nobody Can Take My Dreams From Me
(Danoff)
There are minstrels and beggars, poems in the sight of the king.
Sometimes they sleep in the daytime, come out in the night time and sing.
They come into the castle, through whatever window they can find, they come into your mind.
Dreams of flying, dreams of being free. No one can take my dreams from me.
No one can take my dreams from me.
You can bind me in chains, lock me up in a jailhouse to rot.
And if you come to see me, you might think I'm there but I am not.
They can sail into prison, find their way through any basement door, they can offer you more.
Dreams of flying, dreams of being free. No one can take my dreams from me.
No one can take my dreams from me.
You can take my money, take my reputation, can even take my color TV,
no one can take my dreams from me. No one can take my dreams from me.
No one can take my dreams from me.

These Dreams
She lies on the bed
With her hands in her head
And she screams
He gets a kick out of losing the plot so it seems
He makes you all laugh so she's the one
Doing harm
But how can you fight when she's not
The one under his arm
These dreams have let you down
Take it don't break it just turn it around
These dreams won't let you down
You never stopped loving his misfortunate
Lazy ways
All the memories that you should've had
Are a cabaret haze
There's just a hole where you know he
Should've been
There's no one worse off than you
When you can't describe what you've seen
These dreams have let you down
Take it don't break it just it turn around
These dreams won't let you down
Where do you go when you're all alone
In your bed
Do you cry in your sleep cos it's
Better unsaid
Have you forgotten your past because
That's how it seems
Is it too hard to think so you edit
Your dreams
And play them back again and again
These dreams have let you down
Take it don't break it just turn it around
These dreams won't let you down
These dreams have let you down
Take it don't break it just turn it around
These dreams won't let you down
You've got tomorrow tomorrow
You've got tomorrow tomorrow
You've got tomorrow tomorrow
You've got tomorrow tomorrow
You've got tomorrow tomorrow
