Reminder à Propos Response to Beth. St. Clair Discovery
Reminder à propos falls from fair lines
Enchantingly as music from the spheres,
Measures not, yet knots dissolves as ear's
Inner room reverberates, refines
Nature's pure designs, far stars aligns,
Doors unlocks as vista vision clears.
Emerging understanding perserveres,
Rich wonders links with gentleness, combines
A heart as haven, berth, with rebirth's shrine's
Pleasure treasured, lifts rifts. Life appears
Responsive to true heart, brain's reign frontiers
Overcome at last, as meeting nears.
POet here responds with sonnet song
Spontaneous to one unknown to wrong.

The Unseen Shrines
The shrine where only one person can reign,
That is formless, figure less, unseen but felt and ours,
It is simply elusive, safe, treasured, but monopolized,
it is formless, figure less, unseen but felt and ours.
The shrine where only one person can reign,
Light this shrine with the wick of kindness,
The kindness, the size of life long,
Oil of understanding to fuel it regularly,
As Tolerance suffocates the person in it,
Let us understand and love each other,
The shrine where only one person can reign,
Never lighten this shrine with spirited lamps,
Smoke it with Incense of weeds and drugs,
The shrine that is figure less,
The shrine that is formless,
The shrine that is unseen,
The shrine that can be felt,
The shrine that can be enjoyed,
The shrine that can be worshiped,
It is nowhere else, it is in our heart,
That is built for the person whom we love.

Music Keys Muse
Music offers key that may unlock
emotions’ tides which wash wide, far beyond
life’s toil and troubles, act as magic wand
ending Time’s hold on Man’s internal clock
where fresh horizons future fair unblock.
Enchantment uninhibited, true bond,
links heart to heart as each to each responds
as agent free to answer Chance’s knock.
Music’s magic, shared, must distance mock,
exchanging tone-true notes, souls correspond,
unleashing feelings, sound profound and fond,
resplendent rainbow unwrecked by Time’s rock.
Love’s lighthouse beacon crowned with music may
illuminate, each season sweet as May.

I have been Hungry - after Emily Dickinson - I had been hungry all the years
I have been hungry through the years –
undernourished, incomplete -
awaiting in this vale of tears
for welcome symbiosis sweet.
I have been hungry! - vision clears
when appetite the verb to eat
reformulates as eyes and ears
attune to one heart's precious beat.
I have been hungry, it appears,
too much let slip where lip might meet
stained lip which, vain, in other spheres,
mistook itself for heart replete.
I have been hungry, - atmospheres
apart from others. Games repeat
the search to feel through vain veneers,
protecting self at cost of self-deceit.
I have been hungry, love's arrears
now heartbeat love pursue - retreat
impossible. Although change nears
the piper pays for past conceit.
I have been hungry, - hope now nears
puts trust in touch with touch whose heat
dissolves restraints when heart heart hears.
Twinned echo intimate may greet
an understanding which endears
self to self through paraclete
who hunger heals as fade false fears,
who braids heart, head, to spirit's seat...
I have been hungry, - change of gears -
intimacy, warmth, defeat
sends packing! Lacking naught, WE greet
long looked for happiness complete.

I HAD BEEN HUNGRY ALL THE YEARS
I had been hungry, all the Years—
My Noon had Come—to dine—
I trembling drew the Table near—
And touched the Curious Wine—
'Twas this on Tables I had seen—
When turning, hungry, Home
I looked in Windows, for the Wealth
I could not hope—for Mine—
I did not know the ample Bread—
'Twas so unlike the Crumb
The Birds and I, had often shared
In Nature's—Dining Room—
The Plenty hurt me—'twas so new—
Myself felt ill—and odd—
As Berry—of a Mountain Bush—
Transplanted—to a Road—
Nor was I hungry—so I found
That Hunger—was a way
Of Persons outside Windows—
The Entering—takes away—

Our Swiftest Speed
OUR SWIFTEST SPEED
Our swiftest speed shall seed rebirth rich which
Untangles present woes, flows, grows and glows
Responding to united aims grand, sows
Shared understanding, sings of wings which hitch
WInds' destiny beyond lock, gate, or ditch.
Far stars draw near, what seemed dream now we know
That harmony grey clouds dissolves, may show
Each reach extends, heartwrending trends mends. Rich
STream forward surges, wards off cares, hands stitch
Seamless serendipity, shall show
Place, time, need, feed no meaning, Cupid's bow
Empathy bestows that spurns sales' pitch.
Enchantment links [s]he thinks to ink delight,
Desire's twinned fires unite for future flight

Polyacrostic - Changes Expand Beginnings
Vision clears, we’re somehow made aware
A new age dawns as instincts stimulate
Longings that at last hopes liberate.
Underlying focus everywhere
Energizes inner light, to share
Tenderness, emotions, to create
Harmony which may anticipate
Evolution understanding where,
Time time defies. Change may initiate
Insight, vision new, expands to date
Mark end of beginnings, - secondary state -
Extending former frontiers to prepare
Opportunities for future fair.
None need look back, let Fate precipitate
Events, as metamorphosis Hope's gate
Appears to open, expedition rare.
Refuse facility, temptations, free
THe self for new dimensions, - learn to be...

Art and Heart
Though critics may bow to art, and I am its own true lover,
It is not art, but heart, which wins the wide world over.
Though smooth be the heartless prayer, no ear in Heaven will mind it,
And the finest phrase falls dead if there is no feeling behind it.
Though perfect the player's touch, little, if any, he sways us,
Unless we feel his heart throb through the music he plays us.
Though the poet may spend his life in skilfully rounding a measure,
Unless he writes from a full, warm heart he gives us little pleasure.
So it is not the speech which tells, but the impulse which goes with the saying;
And it is not the words of the prayer, but the yearning back of the praying.
It is not the artist's skill which into our soul comes stealing
With a joy that is almost pain, but it is the player's feeling.
And it is not the poet's song, though sweeter than sweet bells chiming,
Which thrills us through and through, but the heart which beats under the rhyming.
And therefore I say again, though I am art's own true lover,
That it is not art, but heart, which wins the wide world over.

My Music Is My Life
MUSIC IS MY LIFE
I am just sitting here,
Making love to my guitar
Strumming out music,
My love doesn’t stray too far.
My music is my life,
And my love is a heart filled song.
As long as I’m singing,
I know there can be no wrong.
Hugs and kisses come easy,
From the strings that I caress.
There is nothing more pretty,
Than my guitar in full dress.
My music is my life,
And my love is a heart filled song.
As long as I’m singing,
I know there can be no wrong.
I am carried into ecstasy
With each note that floats out
Feel the music within me,
It’s busting its way out.
My music is my life,
And my love is a heart filled song.
As long as I’m singing,
I know there can be no wrong.
Play the music with me,
Sing and raise your voice.
You will feel the love of Music,
Your heart will have no choice.
My music is my life,
And my love is a heart filled song.
As long as I’m singing,
I know there can be no wrong.
Life cannot deny me love,
Or the music that’s inside me
The melodies are my heart and soul,
And it will always be my decree.

Fresh Dimensions
Magic passion lifts aloft life’s song,
as love's light flexes butterfly-bright wings,
unchains hope's scope, reclaims aims' heartfelt rings,
dreams forward stream, finds feelings fair and strong.
Enigmas are resolved - false right, true wrong -
curb rash rush to judgement, insight brings
on innate understanding, softly sings
revealing fresh dimensions where “belong”
real empathy may entertain, prolong.
Invite proactive flight free from kite strings,
exile Time’s agression, salve past stings -
response sees through all torture-mirage tongs
attains new plane where each from each learns much,
spins sentiments meant to enhance shared touch.

Breathless passion lifts aloft life’s song,
Existence flexes butterfly-bright wings,
Leads to true aims attained, - unchained heart rings
Ideal dream’s forward stream, finds feelings strong.
No preconceptions air false right, true wrong,
Dare rush to judgement, for fresh insight brings
An innate understanding as scope sings
Boundless expansion where the word “belong”
Empathy may entertain, prolong.
Leave Time’s agression, all unpleasant stings,
Invite proactive flight free from kite strings.
New doors lead into sharing far from nong!
Draw inspiration to enhance and cheer
A reach where each from each learns vision clear.

At Michael Sars's Grave
Ever he would roam
Toward th' eternal home;
From the least life deep in ocean
To each gleam of stars in motion,
Worth of all he weighed.
Now the Lord lends aid.
Still he passed beyond,
Softly dreaming; fond
Nature met him as her lover.
God with strength his soul shall cover
'Mid the starry throng
Through the spheres' pure song.
Even here on earth
Harmony's sweet birth-
When discovery new truth sunders,
When the small reveals its wonders-
Filled his soul with song
For the ages long.
Where his watch he kept,
Eyes a hundred swept.
Where millenniums sand assembled,
Where the tiniest life-pulse trembled,
There he sought the clue,
Silent, wise, and true.
In a water glass
Searching he saw pass
All the ocean's life; his thinking
To unfathomed deeps was sinking;
Where lay riddles locked,
There he came and knocked.
Fair our fatherland,
While such faith shall stand!
With an eye so true and tender,
With a sense so fine for splendor
In the small and still,-
Great ends we fulfil!

Scribbling Some Lines
scribbling some lines
forms of escape from
traps and grills
lines that give us wings
to fly
lines that give us claws
to defend ourselves
lines that shall make
us understand
what knots are there
that we cannot untangle
but sometimes i go within
and inside myself
i say: what for? does understanding
untie the knots that entangle us?
my friend, there is no need
to understand
no amount of understanding
can set us free
just go, walk, and talk
and take your time
comfort yourself with
a little drink
a little smile
a little rest
a little of everything
for soon
just like anything
everything puffs out
and becomes
over.

Bounded By Chains
your kindness and
goodness have become my very
own chains
i love not you
but another yet how can
i leave you
without being drowned
by so much guilt?
love no matter how true
dissolves in the
cares of gentleness
and understanding
my heart beats for her
yet your chains of freedom
tightly bind me
on my arms
i am free to go
but how can i?

The Beauties Of Nature
Theres a poem in every flower,
a sonnet in every tree,
a tale in every lifetime
its just for you to see...
there's a lyric in every brook
as it rushes over rocks,
theres an ode in every nuance,
as loves wonder unlocks,
theres rhythm in every sound,
every beating of a heart,
theres poetry in every union
and every couple who are apart.
and just as there is wonder
in every new life created,
there is sadness and regret,
for the unsaid and unfeted
just listen for the music
that your ears cannot hear,
just strain yourself for the melody
thats so far, and yet so near
the wonder of the creator,
the magic of the divine
is there to feel, for all of us,
to soon be yours and mine.
the beauties of nature,
are so wondrous and so rare,
create in us a speechless song,
which lay our feelings bare

Altiora Peto
O for a vision of the perfect light
To shame the splendour of the morning star!
O for a breath from out the Infinite
Where the great heart of Being throbs afar!
O for that sound, too fine for mortal ears,
The music of the silence of the spheres!
The Masters fathomed not that song sublime,
Tho’ oft on straining ear and brain o’erwrought,
And heart grown faint at heights too sheer to climb,
The roll of some immortal wave of thought
Swept by and left, adown its troubled verge,
The lingering echoes of its mighty surge.
To each there came the passion and the fire,
The breadth of vision and the sudden light,
And for a moment on an earthly lyre
Quivered a tremor of the Infinite;
Yet to each poet of that deep-browed throng
’Twas but the shadow of Immortal Song.
’Twas but the presage of th’ Omniscient Soul
That moves and throbs thro’ all this wondrous plan,
Unseen, unheard, unknown: that is the Whole,
Yet stirs in atoms and the heart of Man;
That thro’ all phase of change, and form, and name
Remains and works eternally the same.
That seems to whisper us:—“All life is one,
Reborn in death it blossoms from decay,
The same when first the fury of the sun
Belched forth his satellites of fiery spray,
The same when he and all his planet train
Shall plough the Ether, cold—to glow again!
“Whither, O whither? Still th’ eternal cry,
That from the ages rolled and yet shall roll!
Who shall declare to man his destiny—
A unit in the Cosmos of the Soul—
A spirit-germ, storm-tossed in doubt and strife,
That feebly dreams of larger light and life?”
Systems and stars their courses onward sweep,
And creeds and nations flower and fade away.
Still Nature worketh out her purpose deep—
New life, new thought for that of yesterday.
Unto the utmost confines of her range
One law abideth of unchanging change.
Around us dwells the secret no man reads!
About us swells the music none can hear!
Behind us lie the ruins of the creeds!
Before us loom the mystery and the fear!
To Love and Hope our souls are clinging fast,
What giveth these, perchance gives Truth at last!

Heart To Heart
This song appears on four albums, and was first released on the seasons of the heart album. it has also been released on the very best of john denver (double cd), the country roads collection an
Country classics albums.
I havent seen all there is to see
But Ive seen quite a bit
Some things Ill always remember
Some things I wish that I could forget
I havent quite been around the world
But Ive been around the block
I know that distances are meaningless
Like the hands that move around a clock
And I know that love is everywhere
Always safe, always true
And exactly where it comes from
Is where its going to
Your heart to mine
My heart to yours
Talk about opening windows
Talk about opening doors
My heart to yours
Your heart to mine
Love is a light that shines
From heart to heart
Here I am sitting in old hong kong
The harbor and the lights
Theyre like diamonds in the heavens
Enough to brighten the darkest of nights
Theres another side to sorrow
As there is to everything
Like the other side of lonely
Is falling in love again
And then you know that theres an answer
To the suffering we see
And though it isnt easy
Its still as simple as you and me
And youll know that love is everywhere
Always safe, always true
And exactly where it comes from
Is where its going to
Your heart to mine
My heart to yours
Talk about opening windows
Talk about opening doors
My heart to yours
Your heart to mine
Love is a light that shines
From heart to heart
Your heart to mine
My heart to yours
Talk about opening windows
Talk about opening doors

I Haven't Changed The Room
Music & Lyrics by Barry Manilow
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is the room that we shared
The room that you cared for
So I haven't changed the room
How did the years slip away
I could swear you're still there
For I haven't changed the room
Now that you're gone
What am I to do
So many fantasies
Plans that we made
That will never come true
And I haven't changed all that much
And I'm sure you'd be proud of
The way that I came through
So if you happen to be passin' by
To make sure that you recognize it
I haven't changed the room

Invaders Of The Heart
Words and music by rick nielsen
(its rolling)
(oh, wrong song)
(its rolling)
Invaders of the heart
Are messin with my mind
Invaders of the heart
Can make your heart blind
Invaders of the heart
Are drivin me insane
Invaders of the heart
Are playin with my brain
I cant see anymore
Now Ive gotten tunnel vision
I cant be anyone
I just got no direction
I cant see anything
But I dont need glasses on
I cant think anymore
Im just a nervous wreck
Invaders of the heart
Are messin with my mind
Invaders of the heart
Can make your heart blind
Invaders of the heart
Are drivin me insane
Invaders of the heart
Are playin with my brain
I cant see anymore
Always buckle under pressure
I cant be anyone
The slightest thing will set me off
I cant feel anything
Im on pins and Im on needles
I cant think anymore
Ive lost my appetite
Invaders of the heart
Are messin with my mind
Invaders of the heart
Can make your heart blind
Invaders of the heart
Are drivin me insane
Invaders of the heart
Are playin with my brain

To The Rev. William Cawthorne Unwin
Unwin, I should but ill repay
The kindness of a friend,
Whose worth deserves as warm a lay
As ever friendship penned,
Thy name omitted in a page
That would reclaim a vicious age.
An union formed, as mine with thee,
Not rashly or in sport,
May be as fervent in degree,
And faithful in its sort,
And may as rich in comfort prove,
As that of true fraternal love.
The bud inserted in the rind,
The bud of peach or rose,
Adorns, though differing in its kind,
The stock whereon it grows
With flower as sweet or full as fair
As if produced by nature there.
Not rich, I render what I may,
I seize thy name in haste,
And place it in this first essay,
Lest this should prove the last.
'Tis where it should be, in a plan
That holds in view the good of man.
The poet's lyre, to fix his fame,
Should be the poet's heart;
Affection lights a brighter flame
Than ever blazed by art.
No muses on these lines attend
I sink the poet in the friend.

Music……
Music gives life a soothing motion
music controls our every emotion
Music is god to whom we pray
Music helps us pure our souls each day
music gives every moment its true worth
Tears at a wedding, or be it childs birth
music gives me life like the sun
music wields me to strive and run
music serves as our only inspiration
music takes us to a world full of imagination
If music is god then god is true..
music like god, is within me and you..
Me and music will never fall apart..
music to me is the soul of my heart.
