Re...Motivations
Motivations vary, life's scheme stream
Advances under winds of time and tide
Unties response/reaction knots, fills dream,
Destined idea[l]s in harmony abide.
Empowerment and Destiny may seem
Contradictory, common sense defied,
Our free will's voice for choice may weave Way's theme,
Refuting seasons' treason reasoned ride.
Real zest within maintains truth's laser beam
In ways few dare decypher, spirit guide
Ever reflects reflections unforeseen -
Reel karmic? Knowledge? Matrix seek and hide?
All life's [s]pent s[t]age enacting causal link:
Seek cause/effect? I AM because YOU think...

Living Out Thanksgiving
One's thanksgiving that's truly rife, comes from a Spirit filled life,
It is not about what we deserve, but, all about The God we serve;
It's not about things on this sod, but, a relationship with our God,
All good things come from above, from God, in unchanging love.
We can display real thanksgiving, through the choice of our living,
That choice between Spirit or flesh, knowing the two do not mesh,
For one causes unrighteousness, while one fuels our thankfulness,
So to live for God is our choice, so that in our God we can rejoice.
We can walk in The Wisdom of, The Lord God, Who reigns above,
While we walk in The Spirit of Christ, as The Savior guides our life,
Walking in the light of His Word, applying all the Truth we've heard,
As more to God, of life, we give, in true Thankfulness we can live.
Fear is the beginning of Wisdom, as we seek first God's Kingdom,
While in God's Spirit we abide, His Word then becomes our guide,
With His Word as our guiding light, in a world where wrong is right.
While yielding to God, not to sin, He fills us with songs and hymns.
When thanksgiving fills our heart, God's Love to others we impart,
When it's God we choose to serve, we get more than we deserve,
When thanking God along the way, true joy and peace fills the day,
When filled with joy and singing, our life displays real Thanksgiving.

Dare She?
Some sentiments destabilize
when inner thoughts through other eyes
by magic pen may formalize.
Perhaps, despite protective sighs,
hope lies ahead, helps shed disguise?
Tight rope walk from walled citadel,
beset by fears Time can’t dispel,
sits one who may have loved too well, -
emotions dares nor share nor tell,
lest betrayal breach hope's shell.
Stands, reflects with much surprise,
upon commitment’s even ties, -
scarred by a past which “self” denies,
scared behind sweet sparkling eyes, -
lest she should lose herself, fair prize.
Is real from drawbridge cusp choice free
or reel rewound where wounds may be
reopened although memory
real_I_tease would hide, - stiff fee
to pay for ransomed soul at sea.
Reality may coincide
with dreams when two, as one allied,
advance together, prospects wide
embrace with motives bona fide
face future fearless, side by side,
all former errors rectified.
Fate scoops hope's bottle from life's sea -
half-full? half-empty? - destiny
plays games with will, reality.
Combine, merge, urge purge, splurge surge, key
into choice voice, rejoice, set free.
For 'what will be' can't stay inside
time genie's bottle, chance denied,
must scene tranlate to act, play ride
from start through end as plot supplied
threads to conclusion which may guide
fresh start for heart wait's weight defied.
Careful, fearful, fitful, she
herself seems her worst enemy,
seeks protection, amity.
What controls her destiny?
dare she let go, for once not flee?
Maybe its time to realize
that though fleet Time so swiftly flies
compromise can’t circumsize
future options that arise
to offer comforting replies.
She, where others buy and sell,
for silver pawn their souls to Hell,
sheltered beneath protective shell, -
more flirt on call than siren bell
though on hid softness fond thoughts dwell.
Who’d wish her heart he satisfies,
may seek HER truth where most, less wise,
confide blind trust to logic’s lies…
In harmony hope's answer lies,
shared peace, that love alone supplies.

Dream.dare.seek
Dream to dare and dream what others don’t seek
Seek to dare another dream that dares to dream.
Dare to dream the dream that others seek
Seek the dream that others don’t dare.
Dream yourself away from here
Fly yourself away from fear.
Across the barren lake of infinity
Towards the beaming celestial city.
Seek what your heart desires
Beyond the haggle and twist of buyers.
Where the world cannot be bought or sold
Hearts are the only things made or silver and gold.
Dare to let your mind take flight
Away from darkness into the light
Forever and ever this world shall turn.
Our hearts and eyes, lies to burn.

Love’S Tale Retailed
Stars which preside our fates decide events which coincide,
laws causal slide, pause, glide, collide Cause/Effect’s effects wide.
Some in their stride take hopes belied, some stay unsatisfied,
some nationwide, unpacified, seek more than weak words snide.
Once bona fide I fate defied - love, life intensified,
personified by bonny bride who ecstasy supplied.
Electrified and gratified by life lived as joyride,
exemplified days dignified ignoring all divide.
No doubts inside could override my sentimental side,
till trite aside was verrified by witnesses worldwide.
Dissatisfied, one who relied on love unqualified,
is certified as mummified, emotions petrified.
New senses tried, old misapplied, change what words signified
“us” evil “I’d” turns when replied is pique with speak denied.
Life which implied love deIFied if IF’s re-placed, reads died,
spell rectified dealt spell defied, well meaning modified.
Lie clarified, hurt’s amplified while pain, disdain, abide,
ache’s amplified by scorn allied with sting intensified.
‘From love that lied ah woe betide! defend us, Lord’, some cried
in heart’s divide with trust decried, may laughter still abide?
Down turned upside, hope horrified, turned down, sound scope shanghaied,
towards lakeside humidified I’d drown all unfound pride -
but suicide undignified was ending cast aside,
unratified, when voice defied, let second thoughts decide.
Ideas allied with sense applied brief interlude has tried
to craft inside lines side by side aligned shall e'er abide.
As stanzas slide, to please, not guide, concludes brood versified
with loose ends tied, and [t]ease supplied one hopes none dare deride...

Through the Metidja to Abd-El-Kadr
I
As I ride, as I ride,
With a full heart for my guide,
So its tide rocks my side,
As I ride, as I ride,
That, as I were double-eyed,
He, in whom our Tribes confide,
Is descried, ways untried
As I ride, as I ride.
II.
As I ride, as I ride
To our Chief and his Allied,
Who dares chide my heart's pride
As I ride, as I ride?
Or are witnesses denied—
Through the desert waste and wide
Do I glide unespied
As I ride, as I ride?
III.
As I ride, as I ride,
When an inner voice has cried,
The sands slide, nor abide
(As I ride, as I ride)
O'er each visioned homicide
That came vaunting (has he lied?)
To reside—where he died,
As I ride, as I ride.
IV.
As I ride, as I ride,
Ne'er has spur my swift horse plied,
Yet his hide, streaked and pied,
As I ride, as I ride,
Shows where sweat has sprung and dried,
—Zebra-footed, ostrich-thighed—
How has vied stride with stride
As I ride, as I ride!
V.
As I ride, as I ride,
Could I loose what Fate has tied,
Ere I pried, she should hide
(As I ride, as I ride)
All that's meant me—satisfied
When the Prophet and the Bride
Stop veins I'd have subside
As I ride, as I ride!

Once A City
Music by 10,000 maniacs - lyrics by mary ramsey & john lombardo
This was once a city
Harmony a common theme
But these complications
Now make life a bit uneasy
Hallowed buildings scrape the sky
Voices ride the airwaves
Once a city years gone by
Will they still be standing in thecenturies ahead
Going underground little children hiding,
Bullets never meant for them
Must there be such bloodshed in our hearts, our homes, ourheads?
Will I be walking, walking so free?
This was a city once
This was once a city
Harmony a common theme but these complications
Once a city, once a dream.

Drywood
Youve got to learn, to brighten up your ways
Kick out your dull padded life
Theres much to know, and no doors in space
They were only mirrors you imagined in your mind
Now that youve got no place to go
And you stand alone
Know that theres just one place to be
And its in your soul, oh
Like drywood takes to fire the truth will come to you
Like streams that seek the ocean they will find ways through
Like morning meets the moon, my love will guide the way
Its time to wipe your eyes not, and awake
Ive come to take you over, theres much for you to do
Ive come to take you over, then its up to you
Be like the light, in the shadows
Throw down your mask and be real
Dont wish to win, and dont mind to lose
That was just a cycle like a squirrel in a wheel
Now that youve got no place to look
And you stand alone
Know thats theres just one place to be
And it is your home, oh
Like fish that seek the water, the truth will come to you
Like leaves upon the soil, they will find ways through
Like flowers seek the sun, my love will guide the way
Its time to wipe your eyes now, and awake.
You say youre really with me but you only follow me around
How much you love me yes,
But I dont want the kind of love
I have to sit down and count
You think youre free and lucky but youre stuck behind a prison wall
How well you know yourself
But I see something else within you
That you dont see at all
You may give up your number, disowning all your wealth
You may sell all the pieces, but youll
Never never never give up
Yourself, oh no no no.
Like drywood takes to fire the truth will come to you
Like streams that seek the ocean they will find ways through
Like morning meets the nights stars, my love will guide the way
Its time to wipe your eyes not, and awake
Ive come to take you over, theres much for you to do
Ive come to take you over, then its up to you.

Following God
To follow God, it is my choice, as I hear that inner voice,
Of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, guiding me through my life,
To follow Him, as my guide, as Jesus walks by my side,
Guiding me, in all that I do; as He daily sees me through.
Given the choice, if I choose, to walk alone, I could lose,
The peace of God deep inside, when in the Spirit I abide;
Or blessing and joy my friend, as I go around each bend,
But, with Christ, I am content, wherever by God I am sent.
To walk in His Righteousness, life's filled with fruitfulness,
In my deeds along the way, as He guides me, day to day,
Fruitfulness which is from God, as I walk this earthly sod,
While I'm guided from above, in the Spirit's light and love.
If I choose to walk alone, I lose that power, of His Throne,
Power from the Spirit of Christ, to deal with trial and strife,
If I walk opposing the Spirit, ignoring His voice as I hear it,
I am open to the subtlety, of deceptive ways of the enemy.
So my choice is The Lord; my ways by Him aren't ignored,
As The Spirit truly guides me, in life with grace abundantly,
As He helps me live for God, led by Christ's staff and rod,
In this life, as He blesses me, as I'm on my way to Eternity.

Sooner Or Later
Yes, in time, sooner or later, all will know there’s nothing greater,
Nothing at all upon this earth, that offers men such eternal worth,
No possession, yet know to man, can match God’s Eternal Plan,
The Father’s Offer of Eternal Life, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
That life begins when you believe, and Christ’s Spirit you receive,
His Spirit to lead us in all things, as we live for the King of kings,
While He fills us with a peace, that during our trials will not cease,
With a promise He’ll never leave, when His Truth you truly receive.
Soon may be that time for some, that they truly meet God’s Son,
As their eyes are opened wide, to His Truth, they so long denied,
Or maybe they just never heard, The Gospel right from His Word,
But when ready, you can be sure, God’s Spirit will open the door.
For some that time may be later, as they seek something greater,
Some may think Heaven’s on earth, with no need for a New Birth,
Maybe they’re waiting for proof, but, will only see strong reproof,
Whatever is causing you to wait, to continue, it could be too late.
All though, shall meet their Creator, as their Judge or their Savior.
During the present Age of Grace, all men can truly seek His face,
The choice is all yours to make, as God you can trust or forsake,
God made His choice at Calvary, to give us a choice for Eternity.
Many will make God their choice, and then their hearts will rejoice,
Some will decide not to believe, looking back later only to grieve,
As this Age comes to a close, all must deal with what they chose,
All men shall see their Creator; may it be for you, sooner not later.

Dare To Dream
(paul begaud/vanessa corish/wayne tester)
I am my own believer
In my heart the reason
I will follow the light from within
Im not afraid of weakness
Im gonna taste the sweetness
Of the power not to give in
Oh I will see it through
I believe this is my moment of truth
Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream
I will go the distance
Embrace resistance
I will lay my soul on the line
When the wait is over
And the hunger has spoken
If I give my all,i will shine
Oh I will see it through
I believe, this is my moment of truth
Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream,oh
And the heart will shine like the sun
A million voices together as one
I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe
Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
Dare to dream
Dare to fly
Dare to be the ever chosen one to touch the sky
Dare to reach
Dare to rise
Find the strength to set my spirit free
(find the strength to set my spirit free)
Find the strength to do what I believe
(I believe)
Dare to dream
Dare to dream

Destiny
Flirt with me today
and you may lust for my tomorrows.
Seek the fate I have in store for you
And you may have not time for borrow.
Destiny has it written
Written down in every page well.
It is the fate we all must spend in life
Destiny has you under its destined spell.
Some may make it to the top
Then some not even to take a step.
But whatever you think you all deserve
It is but destiny in this life you'll get!
Some may seem to die before their time
Then others you wonder why they've not?
You see that is just their destiny
And it is all of what they'd got.
Some rich, some poor as church mice
Then others never seem to have to work at all!
It all lie within their destiny you see
It lie within each destiny that was called.

Of All Life's States Supreme
Each days spent's play in trances to teach all nightly dreams
no light know where fair glances are absent, rarest gleams
unite free-flights bright streams, reverse sad circumstances,
enchanting spell Life's schemes, link heart to heart. True chance is
response to Love's advances in harmony which beams
from twinned souls sparked advances from Earth to airy streams.
As strawberries and cream, Time's whipped, unzipped romance is
personnified dream themes luck plucks, unending dances.
Affection's fairest stance is love's joyous damascene,
sublime state which perchance is of all life's states supreme.
Eyes glued to bright eyes team here as happiness enhances
surprise cued through shared theme that distance, Time, surpasses.
Romance sheds frontiers, years, tears, hope scope finds
translates to seventh heaven's sublime signs.

Fit To Serve
When men serve the Eternal King, whether they preach or they sing,
It is The Lord above we praise, as hearts and voice to Him we raise.
All the service that He calls men to, The Lord above helps them do,
Equipping every believer He calls, to many tasks and various roles.
God helps us with the task at hand, in ways we may not understand,
By equipping each and everyone, when we come to faith in His Son.
By grace God allows men to serve, in ways we truly do not deserve,
Serving in ways hard to believe, after God’s Spirit we have received.
Through The Spirit God fills you with, all the knowledge and the gift,
The gift to use the knowledge inside, using The Spirit as your guide.
God above has a plan for all of us, if we’d simply believe and trust,
We can serve the Lord in many ways, all through these earthly days.
In your heart, The Lord instills, His Truth and knowledge, as He wills,
And this knowledge of The Lord, in your service, by God is poured,
Onto men, whom you reach, through your witness and your speech,
As The Lord God uses your whole life, as a vessel for Jesus Christ.
A new vessel that belongs to Him; Christ, who saved us from all sin,
Cleansed and fit for the service of, the Lord God, who reigns above.
Using people, just like you and me, to move others towards eternity,
Where we will serve forevermore, when we reign with Christ our Lord.

Homerun - 1060
From dark to light one cry.
cot, tot, fine whine, youth tries
to rise, outshine, strength vies
to test itself far, nigh,
will ever improvise,
wings spread ahead would fly
beyond the common sty.
Ends, means, some justify
as tools to fool, win prize
refusing to downsize
goals which new goals supply,
to grow, while enterprise
won't sit, knit idly by
would flow to know, apply.
See sun at zenith high
where fair sweep cloudless skies,
fragility belies.
Self on self will rely
And thus we compromise
ourselves, each hour thereby
prepares grief leaf's demise.
Men, weak 'how, what, when, why'
seek to deny, despise
as limits while each eyes
ambitions run awry.
Most fail to realize
fame's flame soon sinks, falls shy
of promise time can't buy.
Stagnation by and by
sets in, transforms to ties
what once soared free, - denies
rights others seek would lie,
Inventing alibis
inverting truth stain, dye,
strain, pain, until sparks die.
Still time will onward fly!
Few care to recognize
sunset whet hopes defies,
dare not, with rules comply,
scope set cut down to size.
With humour grim and wry
Fate on each whim may spy.
Life's voyage does imply
page after page time tries
to crop or circumsize,
each stage a wager sly
as cause, effect, in guise
of free choice voice deny
to unborn options! Why?
Tide turns, Time's spring runs dry.
The candle burns. The wise,
the fool, fourscore, fade, rise
no more, till final cry
whose sense none can disguise.
No echo, no reply.
from light to dark, sole sigh.

Rootless
Swept away on the ebbing tide
I long to stay but I must go
my wanderlust unsatisfied.
I go where the waters flow
(I have no choice I don’t decide)
The rolling sea has much to show.
Strange places where no men abide.
The frozen lands of ice and snow
where human needs can’t be supplied.
Sunlit isles where palm trees grow.
My urgent need won’t be denied,
there’s so much that I want to know.
I have to travel to and fro.
I ride upon the restless tide.
My ever moving friendly foe.
There is no place I can hide
She’d search for me both high and low
I can’t escape though I have tried.
She’s in control and she says no.
My mistress will not be defied
When she calls me I have to go.
Swept away on the ebbing tide.
I go reluctantly although
some part of me enjoys the ride.

My dream, My life
Have you ever had a dream?
That’s makes your heart race and your face beam!
A dream to write, a dream to rhyme,
A dream that you know will be real in time.
A dream you know that’s destined for you,
And just to make it real there’s nothing you won’t do.
A writer of stories, a mother, a wife,
That is my dream that will be my life.

Spirit
I can see my destination
I can hear my call
No more hesitation, mmm
This time I'm goin' for all
'Cause I know where this road leads to
And therefore I will rise
I know this dream will come true, mmm
And I will soar the sky
(Spirit, spirit)
Would you guide me? Oh
(Spirit) oh (spirit)
Stand by me
Come on, Come on, Come on
Set me free
I can feel the penetration
Of a strong wind movin' me, mmm
I feel can the elevation, mmm
Of an angel lifting me, mmm
'Cause I know where this road leads to
Therefore I will rise
I know this dream will come true, oh
And I will soar the sky
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Would you guide me? Ohh
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Standin' by me
Come on, Come on, Come on
Set me free
(Oh spirit)
Now that I've found my way home
I've got to get there, get there (get there)
Though one step seems one mile long
Your bridge before my face (your bridge before my face)
I will take the leap of faith (I will take the leap of faith)
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Would you guide me? Oh
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Stand by me, oh
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Set me free...
(Spirit) spirit (spirit) spirit
Spirit, set me free
(Spirit) help me find my way (spirit) stand by my side
Spirit take my hand and be my guide
(Spirit) run free (spirit) run free
Run free, run free
(Spirit) run free (spirit) run free...

You Hear Nature's Voice
You hear Nature's voice in the river that ever flows on towards the sea
A voice destined to live forever that has lived for untold centuries
From the foothills of the high country it babbles downhill night and day
By groves and by ditches and hedgerows to saltwater it winds it's way.
You hear Nature's voice in her birdsong their music carrying in the breeze
The sounds that the freshening winds make rustling in the leaves of the trees
Some of the happier sounds of Nature though to Nature there's another side
When Nature she shouts out her anger all others from her seek a safe place to hide.
When Nature she grows very angry the fear of the World is in her cry
She shakes the Earth flattens great buildings she roars and her lightning flashes in the sky
She crackles when her forests burn leaving blackness and smoke everywhere
With the power of Nature in a fury none other can hope to compare.
You hear Nature's voice in all Seasons Winter, Spring and Summer and Fall
And you hear Nature's voice in the night-time when her nocturnal creatures do call
Nature's voice will live on forever 'tis something not destined to die
As Nature herself does not have a time span as such are for mortals such as I.
