Shine
Summer is only a climpse
of your beauty
for you will always be the sun
that shines for me
And when the day is done
the stars shine above
you are all that I see
my shining love
Through the dark of night
and days of pouring rain
your love is never in vain
here in my heart you remain
always holding you tight
Your eye's sparkle and shine
with your face in a glow
dreaming me back home
to the only place I know
where I'm never alone

We to Sigh Instead of Sing
"Rain and Rain! and rain and rain!"
Yesterday we muttered
Grimly as the grim refrain
That the thunders uttered:
All the heavens under cloud --
All the sunshine sleeping;
All the grasses limply bowed
With their weight of weeping.
Sigh and sigh! and sigh and sigh!
Never end of sighing;
Rain and rain for our reply --
Hopes half-drowned and dying;
Peering through the window-pane,
Naught but endless raining --
Endless sighing, and, as vain,
Endlessly conmplaining.
Shine and shine! and shine and shine!
Ah! to-day the splendor!--
All this glory yours and mine --
God! but God is tender!
We to sigh instead of sing,
Yesterday in sorrow,
While the lord was fashioning
This for our To-morrow!

Pegged At 21
Initiated,
Brain,
Remain,
Drain,
Plain,
Explain,
Again,
Chain,
Main,
Rain,
Disdain,
Complain,
Refrain,
Vain,
Pain,
Train,
Indicated;
But amended and pegged at 21! !
However, the level of your thoughts are like my sweet muse,
And i want to meet you at my residence in the land of my birth.

It’s already in vain
I know that thunder at times fall from the sky,
I know that ants crawl when their nest breaks,
swarming ready to bite
but it’s already in vain.
I do not care when the sun shine
and it rains in broad daylight
if I get wet or not, if you get wet or not
but it’s already in vain.
I smell the fresh tea that you are brewing
see how the wind is blowing the curtains
as if it’s crying over a lost soul
but it’s already in vain.
Will you come along when I dance in the rain?
I know that there’s something indispensable
to dance when the sun shines and thunder is falling
but it’s already in vain.
When Gert Strydom is caught in rain at church,
some old men are thinking about the sacrifice of God,
there’s a impact when a pretty women is wet
but it’s already in vain.

The Rain
I don't know how far I can see
'cause it's all blue water streaming towards me
The sun needs to shine normally
but it's all grey rain
The rain, the rain on me, rain on me
Chorus
So I will find a place, where I can hide from the sky
And I will wait in this place,
'cause I know you're trying to
Open up your sky
Push away the dark clouds and shine
Forget the thunder so loud, don't be afraid
Show yourself ! Don't hide now !
The rain, the rain on me, rain on me
The rain, the rain on me, rain on me
I don't know how high you can see
but it's all grey water falling down on me
The sun needs to shine normally
but it's all grey rain
Chorus

Of My Tears In The Rain!
Of my tears in the rain!
Since you left me lonely without a trace;
Chain, rain, train, strain, stain, vain, main, fain, Cain, gain, pain! !
However, it was not on the same level but,
The Sadness on my face shows it all.
Of my tears in the rain!
But, are you willing to know?
For, you were nowhere to be found;
Even though you promised me,
And now, who can justify this act of yours?

Heavy Cloud No Rain
Turned on the weather man just after the news
I needed sweet rain to wash away my blues
He looked at the chart but he look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Back in time with louis xvi
At the court of the people he was number one
Hed be the bluest blood theyd ever seen
When the king said hi to the guillotine
The royal astrologer was run out of breath
He thought that maybe the rain would postpone his death
He look in sky but he look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Well the land was cracking and the river was dry
All the crops were dying when they ought to be high
So to save his farm from the bankers draft
The farmer took out a book on some old witchcraft
He made a spell and a potion on a midsummers night
He killed a brindled calf in the pale moonlight
He prayed to the sky but he prayed in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain
Heavy cloud but no rain
The sun wont shine till the clouds are gone
The clouds wont go till their work is done
And every morning youll hear me pray
If only it would rain today
I asked my baby if thered be some way
She said shed save her love for a rainy day
I look in the sky but I look in vain
Heavy cloud but no rain

Kiss The Rain
(j. spinks)
The rhythm of the rain
Breaks the silence
Beats against my window
As the moment slips away
And I just cant explain
In your absence there is nothing
I try in vain - but I cant kiss the rain
And a miracle can stay
In my mind forever more
It can take my blues away
But it cant stop the rain
And it wont stop me crying
As the rhythm starts again
Inside my head
The rhythm of your name
Undecided uninvited
Speaks to me just like you? re here again
And I just cant remain
Undecided unprovided
So in vain I tried to kiss the rain
And an orchestra can play
Any song Ive ever heard
But they? ll never know my name
And they cant stop the rain
And they wont stop me crying
Oh the rhythm of the rain
Breaking in two
Unstained heart untamed dreams
Unchained love forever
The rhythm of the rain
Breaking the silence beating against my window
As the moment slips away
I just cant explain
In your absence there is nothing
I try in vain but I cant kiss the rain

Goldenrod Suite
In a field of
grasshopper heat
of
the pride
the prone
of
the all that
is forever gone
of
crow hops-hops-hops
down a bug
of
a bridge I built
across the creek
of
frogs that
take a peek
of
overhead
an eagle soars
of
a mouse
fast in the grass
of
cattails
around the pond
of
a snake, branched
hanging on
of
upon seeing me
falls and is gone
of
a sea golden
and green
of
sadly seeing
yesterday's dream

Pain in the Rain
Decipher these rhymes
Walk slowly
Recycle the good memories
Now I’m lonely
Refrain:
Wet is my temples
Water drops in vain
The lightning chuckles
I’m sick of the rain
Chorus:
Can somebody explain
Why life is so simple, so plain
Cuz I can’t see through this fog of rain
This flood of tears
This constant pain
Of forgetting our dreams
Self-pity remains
Pain, let it shine
Pain, let it slide
Pain, at our side
Pain, let it shine
Remember these crimes
Tap me in my fantasy
Remember me this time
Try to feel me
Bridge:
Remove the curtains aside
Let it fall down on you
The sunshine
(2x)
Let it shrink inside,
The sunshine
LEAVE THE STORMY DAYS BEHIND!
SHINE!
(Repeat Chorus)
Pain, let it shine
Pain, let it slide,
Pain, at our side
Pain, make me shine
Shine…

Come Rain Or Come Shine (feat. B.B. King)
I'm gonna love you
Like nobody's loved you
Come rain or come shine
High as a mountain and deep as a river
Come rain or come shine
Well I guess when you met me
That it were just one of those things
Don't you ever bet me
Cause I'm gonna be true if you let me
Oh you're gonna love me
Like nobody's loved me
Come rain or come shine
Happy together unhappy together
Won't that be fine
Day may be cloudy or sunny
We're either in or we're out of our money
I'm with you always
I'm with you rain or shine
You're gonna love me
Like nobody's loved me
Come rain or come shine
Happy together unhappy together
Won't that be fine
Day may be cloudy or sunny
We're in or we're out of our money
I'm with you always
I'm with you rain or shine
Rain or shine
I'm with you always
I'm with you rain or shine

Shine
Rain drain my play away
Sun gun me down and burn me
Nature hates me today
My head distorts reality
Madness just moved into my shadow
Shine - I will not cry and I will not die no
Shine - I will be there for me
Shine - I will not cry and I will be mine
Ill shine - shine
Who waltzed me into this
And I now stuck here forever
Luck just gave me a kiss
Then lashed me down with a leather strap
Trying to learn to swim without any water
Trying just to begin just when youre in for the slaughter
Shine - I will not cry and I will not die no
Shine - I will be there for me
Shine - ill be just fine if I stay all mine
Ill shine - shine,
You will love me as a winner
Why?

Rain Or Shine
Every time you go
This much I know
That it don't mean nothing
Cause I've closed the back door
And every night apart you were in my heart
So don't you worry
Cause I'm ready for this love to restart
There is a reason
We came together
Rain or Shine I'll love you all my life
We'll weather the seasons
We'll laugh and cry
Rain or shine I'm yours, you're mine
I'll love you all my life
When I feel afraid
In my own parade
That marches through me
And I don't recognize
A single face
You drew a line in the sand
Then you took my hand
And we crossed over
Now I finally understand that
There is a reason
We came together
Rain or Shine I'll love you all my life
We'll weather the seasons
We'll laugh and cry
Rain or shine I'm yours, you're mine
I'll love you all my life
Yeah...
Now I finally understand that...
There is a reason
We came together
Rain or Shine I'll love you all my life
We'll weather the seasons
We'll laugh and cry
Rain or shine I'm yours, you're mine I'll love... yeah
There is a reason
We came together
Rain or Shine I'll love you all my life
We'll weather the seasons
We'll laugh and cry
Rain or shine I'm yours, you're mine
I'll love you all my life

Jesus Is The Main Man
Jesus is the main man.
That's it.
No more comments!
Jesus is the main man.
You can zip your parted lips, now!
Jesus is the main man.
Forget those pity stops at pits.
Jesus is the main man.
This you 'must' admit, now!
Jesus is the main man.
That's it.
No more comments on it made...
To degrade or say what else may fit.
Jesus is the main man.
Know this,
And get lifted quick!
Jesus is the main man.
Understand this as best you can.
Jesus is the main man.
Commanded when you pray,
Now!
Jesus is the main man.
That's it...
No need for further comments on it!
Jesus is the main man.
He's like a gift one gets,
To share unlimited!
Jesus is the main man.
It's hard to sit still,
When something received
Is known
To be real!

A Billet Doux
My brightest hopes are mix'd with tears,
Like hues of light and gloom;
As when mid sun-shine rain appears,
Love rises with a thousand fears,
To pine and still to bloom.
When I have told my last fond tale
In lines of song to thee,
And for departure spread my sail,
Say, lovely princess, wilt thou fail
To drop a tear for me?
O, princess, should my votive strain
Salute thy ear no more,
Like one deserted on the main,
I still shall gaze, alas! but vain,
On wedlock's flow'ry shore.

17 Days
Called u yesterday
U didnt answer your phone
The main drag is knowing that
U probably werent alone
So here I sit in my lonely room
Lookin 4 my sunshine
But all Ive got is two cigarettes
And this broken heart of mine
So let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Youve been gone 17 days
17 long nights
The main drag is knowing that
Youre holding someone else tight
I wanna to call u everyday
And beg u 2 be near me
But I know your head is underwater
I doubt that u could hear me
So let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
17 days
Ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
17 days
Called u yesterday
U didnt answer your phone
If youre the one whos always lonely
Then Im the one whos always alone
So here I sit in my lonely room
Lookin 4 my sunshine
All Ive got is 2 cigarettes
And this broken heart of mine
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
Why dont you answer your phone?
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
17 days
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down
Let the rain come down, down
17 days

Let It Shine
Another lesson learned
Wrapped around my soul
Another journey ends
Another story told
Innocents, forever burns
A light in the window
Until your dreams return
Let it shine
Shine on you
Cause you got the power
To make it come true
Let it shine
Shine on me
I need you to help me
Gotta help me believe
Now the magics here
Like the moon and stars
Imagination comes
No matter who you are
You are free
Free to believe
In the light in the window
In the power of your dreams
Let it shine
Shine on me
You got the power
Power to make it come true
Let it shine
Shine on me
I need you to help me
You gotta help me believe
Let it shine
Shine on me
Cause you got the power
To make it come true
So let it shine
Shine on me
Need you to help me
You gotta help me believe
In the world

Imaginary Diva
Late last night I had a dream
And it was then I seen her
She didnt need no diamond rings
Fancy cars, versace things to please her
Shes my perfect girl
And I call her my imaginary diva
Every girl she passes by
Just cant deny that they would love to be her
All the guys comparing sizes
Tucking shirts in, fixing ties to please her
Shes my perfect girl
Exclusive to my world
No you cant get her
Shes my imaginary diva
Shine on imaginary diva
Shine on into this world
Join us in our imagination
Help yourself believe in all you have heard
All you have to do is close your eyes
Forget real life and fantasies
Erase bad thoughts start to replace
Create your own amazing place
Shes a real time girl
In my imaginary world
Take a good look at her
Shes my imaginary diva
Shine on imaginary diva
Shine on into this world
Join us in our imagination
Help yourself believe in all you have heard
So listen up this so called classy ladys
Sipping fizz in vip bars
She could teach a thing or to
To you, your outfit, attitude and visa
Shes my imaginary diva
Shine on imaginary diva
Shine on into this world
Join us in our imagination
Help yourself believe in all you have heard
