A bright idea spontaneously mixed
with waters from a wide vocabulary
oils wheels of thought which very soon are fixed,
flash p[l]ans to channel thoughts tu[r]ned poetry.
Verse with or without mental gymnastics
trips from tongue as playful kitten, strophe
footloose leaps, ignoring stones and sticks,
provoking ripples which preclude catastrophe.
Assonance, alliteration, acrostics,
tickle innate emotions oft compressed
within the minds recesses consciously
till free associations are expressed, -
osmosis in a blaze of ecstasy
firing synapses which gun jump to f[l]ree.
Thus, finally, communion we see
and feel, communication letting the
damm[n]ed barriers collapse, and, falling, be
come spring permitting priority
of tolerance at last to flourish free.
Prejudice is ever reassessed.
Enlightenment and understanding we
combine with all humanity holds best
to lend the world’s ephemerality
an instant yet infinite quality
without which much of mankind’s energy
would be dispersed, his rights stripped, dispossessed
without the vain futility protest
proposes to conscience clear, to test
the spiral of its own validity.
A fruitless search - as immortality
like life - a ghost of Christmas yet to be -
“is bound in shallows and in misery”.
One must, therefore, retain some sanity
avoiding misconceptions, vanity, -
sterile assertions, open heresy, -
press on towards enlightenment to free
the soul - avoiding blindness we feel we
cannot escape, or prefer not to do -
for fear of what we’ll find, - which once we knew.

If Only You Knew

I can't move
I can barely speak
Barely able
To get out of bed
It's hardly worth the effort
It takes just to breathe
Stripped long ago
Of all my willpower
I have grown so weak
Neither my body nor my mind
Possess even an ounce of energy
I now know
I'll never be free
If only you knew
What it's like to be me

I used to be afraid of dying
But that was before
Living became so hard
I don't know what's worse,
The shame or the anger
Ever since I became
This awful stranger
In this darkness
Breeds only negativity

Heavy thoughts
A heavy heart
It's way too late
For a new start
Too far gone
To try again
Each day that I live

To the end
The end of all this madness
No more pretending

(Depression Poem) Blood Letting Just To Feel

Blood letting just to feel.
Nothing is real.
Crawling in the dark.
Looking for an escape.
Will destiny just let be free.
In constant debt.

A slave to an system that knows no regret.
Your just so god damn insufficient.
Nothing absolutely nothing.
A march of the blind.
At war with everyone for just an tiny bit of breathing room.
Someone just let me out.

Blood letting just to feel.
Nothing is real.
Crawling in the dark looking for an escape.
Will destiny just let be free.
I'm on my knees praying to a god
i don't even believe in.
Just for a chance at a better existence.
One where i can run above the clouds.
Without having to worry about falling so far down.
So suddenly i hit the ground.
Got to run for cover.

Maybe with a little more agony.
Pain turns into pleasure.
It becomes the systems measure.
Walk a mile in denial.
No willingness to face it faithfully,
honestly, and wholeheartedly.

I'm running faster,
Dodging people, obstacles.

Simple Language

Simple language seems to be
best when describing you or me,
learning daily how to live,
what refuse and what forgive.

Yet what is held priority
today, tomorrow's pages see
often changes; each must grow
reach for fresh goals, and forwards go.

Avoiding all hypocrisy,
sharing's best, and holding hands
with joyful understanding, he
and she united. Formal bands
aren't always a necessity
where empathy needs no commands
to flourish, flower fair and free.

Open heart provides true key
colours canvas for life's pages,
grants happiness. Complicity
completes this verse - no need for wages.

Running Free

Roaming free in the wild,
I wish to be,
Though I am only a child,
Please, please let me run free!

Free to live, free to roam,
Can’t you see,
Running from life, running from home,
Imagine, me running free!

Hiding my feelings and my thoughts,
Sadly, this is me,
Hiding them I know I should not,
Help me to run free!

Through times, troubled and bad,
I did not want to be,
I wish not to think about times that were sad,
I want to be running free!

Through deaths that were hard,
Again and again I see,
My heart and emotions I guard,
I am ready to run free!

My friends and family, to me, are dear,
Yet, they don’t know the real me,
They are close to me, but for them I fear,
Let me go, let me run free!

Joy and happiness seems to escape,
This should not be,
But, it all comes, for everyone, in a different shape,

Flights of Fancy - Acrostic Sonnet

For generations, since prehistory,
Life rising symbolised the soul’s redemption.
In flights of fancy all religions mention
Gesture rites to set bright spirit free.
‘Here’ and ‘now’ mean little. Ecstasy
Takes man’s kaa beyond mundane convention
Seeking enlightenment where apprehension
Or instinct’s fears, dissolves, and where ‘to be’
For once is not an empty phrase. ‘To see’
For once may stand for inner comprehension,
Adds up to enlightenment’s obtention –
Never can be gift hereditary.
Create within your mind that freedom where

Searching Deep

she put motion in my heart
and poetry in my soul
and through her love,
life began to unfold.

she showed me the
beauty that can lie ahead.
if you only clear your head.

clear your head to things that can be
if you set your heart and soul free.
so i searched deep into myself
for all that was locked up inside.
feelings and emotions that i wanted to hide.

what i found was a surprise in me
a love as deep as the ocean
and as wide as the sky.
enough to spread to everyones eyes.

and now with your eyes wide open
i know now that this is your time.
so open up yourself the same as me
and let all your emotions fly free.

Words of liberation for my nation

Chains of slavery are still over my people.
Notorious minds still over power innocent minds.
What can free the black child, what can free my nation?
I ask in pain and suffering in the dark jail cells,
What can free me from mental slavery?
How to know right from wrong?
How to think free and build a free society?
The solution is in the words of liberation, the words of wisdom.

I write and recite a revolution, my revolution my poetry.
I do n’t need praises or worship but only recognition and understanding of the people to words of liberation, understanding of poetry.
I stand before you to present poetry,
I stand before you to present the words of liberation to my nation.

Poetry that builds, poetry that destroys.
Poetry that destroyed the impious minds of colonists in Rhodesia.
I speak of poetry that built freedom in South Africa.
When I speak of poetry I mean the true meaning of words.

Breaking free from all this misery.
Your return has set me free.
Now I know to what degree,
what kind of love you feel for me.

to a new found freedom that gives us glee.
They called me mad for thinking that you'd return.

Consuming Thoughts

There are thoughts inside me,
But I can’t seem to let them free!
The thought of not letting them out is frustrating me!

Its like all the feelings are stuck inside,
I try to let them out oh you have no idea how hard I’ve tried,
And still they stay hidden inside!

I have no idea what I feel,
Whether I am happy, sad, or even if my feelings are real,
I just can’t tell what my emotions and mind feel!

I want to scream out,
And let go of all doubt,
Yet I can’t even describe what there is to let out.

I wish I could tell you,
Could explain how I feel and what I want to do,
Although with everything in my mind my mouth has nothing to tell you.

I am suffocating in my own inability to speak my thoughts,
I feel as if I have nothing inside me even though I know I have lots.
How can it be fair that one’s demise can include one’s own mere thoughts?

Free like the river
Flowing freely through infinity

What I am and who I need not be
