Enhanced Impressions
ENHANCED IMPRESSIONS
May [s]he fill heart with laughter, light,
Advance, words weaving soft delight,
Unwind minds' blindness so two might
Dive through each other’s strength, find flight
Effacing walled calls dark as night,
MAUrauders tempting, flying kite.
Defy all mirage motions trite, -
Emotions share that naught need blight?
May [s]he fright shadows, hither bend
Arms into waiting arms to tend
Unending welcome friend as friend
DEstined, in time with rhyme, to mend
MAladies, passing cares, and end
Unbecoming bars, append
Due joy as on shared quest two wend
Enchantment bright as joys ascend.
May [s]he see past time’s veil tonight
A message clear, both dear and bright,
Unwavering image infinite.
DElight may two as one unite
MAy catalyzed by second sight,
Unrealing magic spells excite
Dumb to speech tender, selenite
Entrances, open view seems right.
May [s]he to far horizons lend
AUreate prospect and extend
Dreams to real reel, as two transcend
Evanescent spendthrift spend.
MArch hand in hand and recommend
Unceasing tenderness fair friend.
Days to years sans tears here penned,
Enhanced impressions twin souls blend.

Broken Fences
Broken Fences
Written by: Wilfred Mellers, Monday, November 2,2009, @ 12: 50 PM
A rose to you I now shall send
Gone are the days with my best friend
Empty pockets willing no longer to lend
Wasting time I now alone spend
If only time I could suspend
You back in my arms I’d pretend
With you I’d exhaust every weekend
Affectionate letters now I’d resend
To cherish you more I’d intend
Into the darkest of caverns I would descend
Captive wires I would unbend
On summits high I would ascend
Your every need I would contend
Lavish parties we would attend
On you all I would spend
For you are truly a godsend
Preoccupied I was with having a girlfriend
On you I relied and came to depend
On this truly you I commend
Released from the nest birds must fend
This voyage now I append
Left to my own qualms I must now tend
A tree in the wind must learn how to bend
Words spoken never meant to offend
An Oak leaf I now extend
All reservations I now suspend
You my love was the perfect blend
For actions taken now I emend
Insecurities seems to be the trend
Is this what you truly want to defend?
Can fondness time truly transcend?
Broken fences need to now mend

Runners often Stumble - 1020
My hand is here and need not disappear
As understanding WE can help you share,
Removing cares as sunshine everywhere
Ice melts inside though Winter seems so near.
As you advance within, horizons clear,
Heart opens out, no doubt on Earth is there,
Only trust yourself! While on life´s stair
Runners often stumble, you, my Dear,
At last discover wings which fly past fear!
Knife double-edged, intelligence, friend fair,
Offers perspective, soft breeze in your hair,
Values questions, questions values here
Alert you are, far more than most we know,
May this unite mind´s search, emotions´ flow?

Adieu?
It’s time to say adieu, friend
It’s time to part our ways
It may not be final goodbye yet
We might see each other again, who knows, somewhere.
All the shared moments with you
All those laughter and tears we together had had
All the sorrows and relief we experienced
Will never be forgotten, I promise.
I’ll always remember you as one good friend
A friend who’s always patient and kind
A friend who’s there to reach out to and lend a hand
A friend so dear, who needs me and whom I need as much.

Ballooning Blue Hopes
Ballooning hopes speed, seed scope's light,
All clouds disperse, false fears take flight,
On future fair grace places dreams
On past despair trace fades, it seems
Ingenuous finds fresh delight.
Black holes prove mirage, out of sight.
Unrestricted, beach born beams
Energize as joy esteems
Horizons boundless, blue and bright,
Pleasure spirit and excite
Enthusiastic promised day
Spirits dark troubles, cares away.

A Tried Friend, A True Friend
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to understand;
To cheer the way and help the day
With heart as well as hand:
With heart as well as hand, my dear,
And share the things we 've planned
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to understand!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to hear our call,
When, wrong or right, we wage the fight
With backs against the wall!
With backs against the wall, my dear,
When hope is like to fall
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to hear our call!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
To share with us that day
When our ship comes back and naught we lack
Of all for which men pray!
Of all for which men pray, my dear,
That long has gone astray
A tried friend, a true friend,
To share with us that day!
Oh, side by side, on roads untried,
Two souls may better speed
Than one who goes the road he knows
With none to give him heed!
With none to give him heed, my dear,
And help when there is need
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend, a friend indeed!

Sundog Cataract
What seems sundog high by spry cataract
deserves a deeper look. Another light
reveals imagination's flow intact
Speed current echoes time's trip, clouds take flight
Waterfalls with dreams may interact
catalyze sense streams to spring insight
stimulate synaptic leaps spray backed
enhancing surf spill spells, responses bright
show space where cataract wraith-wracked
blinded with self-denial dark. Winged white
eddies fantastic, swirl-whirl, fears backtracked
ring confidence to share, bring twinned delight
Time riffles rift, strange spume fast sprays, gifts room
Rhyme ripples swift, change dooms past's plays, lifts gloom

Unveils anticipation not the act
Draws sunrise, current's flow, woe's clouds in flight.
Each waterfall dreams stimulates, intact
Catalyzes stream sense, springs insight.
One's neverneverland? Blend nuance backed?
Revealed enchantment spills surf's answers bright
Revealing zones where mist before seemed wracked
In doubt and self-denial. Surf's wings white,

COULD WE BE FRIENDS? [BY Redscar & Moons]
MOONS:
Could I be your FRIEND, my friend?
For ‘Redscar and Moons’ sounds sweet
What I mean do you comprehend?
When things went bad I almost quit.
I long for this; could we try to blend
Now that we share a sweet lit seat?
Could I be your FRIEND, friend?
REDSCAR:
Please be my FRIEND, oh friend!
Behold, my bad I won't repeat;
I'll never act like a dire fiend,
And from candor I won't retreat!
...So I beseech that we blend,
For us to make all that is sweet -
Be my FRIEND, my dear friend!
MOONS:
I found a niche in you friend,
Like hearts in rhyme with a beat,
I may not have enough to spend,
Let alone excess for a treat,
Words, these words are all I lend,
...May be as meaningless as skit,
Could I be your FRIEND, Friend?
REDSCAR:
In you I've found a special friend
For with you, my life has no dent;
I'd love to retain you till the end -
As a FRIEND, my, you are God-sent!
...And now in you I highly depend,
For care, and the good that's latent;
Be my FRIEND, my dear friend!
MOONS:
Listen carefully oh friend,
My words are truly meant,
On this Moons you can depend,
My all would certainly be lent,
But am scared should you turn a fiend,
I may crumble not being a magnificent.
Could I be your FRIEND, Friend?
REDSCAR:
God forbid: I'll never be a FIEND,
Never to do anything you dissent!
I love you dearly - I don't pretend
To ever be FRIENDS I beg your assent;
...Like ere my blessings to you I send,
Rebuking all that bring predicament;
Be my FRIEND, my dear friend.
MOONS:
Then, I'm honored my Friend,
Confidants we've just begun to be,
With every additional dividend,
I invest again in You and Me,
This relationship I'll tend,
...A Moons and Redscar spree,
I'll be your FRIEND, Oh dear Friend.
REDSCAR:
How I thank you, my dear friend
For accepting to be in this with me!
I'll cherish your amity till the end,
And I'll shower you with much glee;
...For you, I promise to ever fend -
The only Moon in my sky you'll be;
I'm glad you are my dear FRIEND!

Tom Van Arden
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
Our warm fellowship is one
Far too old to comprehend
Where its bond was first begun:
Mirage-like before my gaze
Gleams a land of other days,
Where two truant boys, astray,
Dream their lazy lives away.
There's a vision, in the guise
Of Midsummer, where the Past
Like a weary beggar lies
In the shadow Time has cast;
And as blends the bloom of trees
With the drowsy hum of bees,
Fragrant thoughts and murmurs blend,
Tom Van Arden, my old friend.
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
All the pleasures we have known
Thrill me now as I extend
This old hand and grasp your own--
Feeling, in the rude caress,
All affection's tenderness;
Feeling, though the touch be rough,
Our old souls are soft enough.
So we'll make a mellow hour:
Fill your pipe, and taste the wine--
Warp your face, if it be sour,
I can spare a smile from mine;
If it sharpen up your wit,
Let me feel the edge of it--
I have eager ears to lend,
Tom Van Arden, my old friend.
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
Are we 'lucky dogs,' indeed?
Are we all that we pretend
In the jolly life we lead?--
Bachelors, we must confess,
Boast of 'single blessedness'
To the world, but not alone--
Man's best sorrow is his own!
And the saddest truth is this,--
Life to us has never proved
What we tasted in the kiss
Of the women we have loved:
Vainly we congratulate
Our escape from such a fate
As their lying lips could send,
Tom Van Arden, my old friend!
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
Hearts, like fruit upon the stem,
Ripen sweetest, I contend,
As the frost falls over them:
Your regard for me to-day
Makes November taste of May,
And through every vein of rhyme
Pours the blood of summer-time.
When our souls are cramped with youth
Happiness seems far away
In the future, while, in truth,
We look back on it to-day
Through our tears, nor dare to boast,--
'Better to have loved and lost!'
Broken hearts are hard to mend,
Tom Van Arden, my old friend.
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
I grow prosy, and you tire;
Fill the glasses while I bend
To prod up the failing fire. . . .
You are restless:--I presume
There's a dampness in the room.--
Much of warmth our nature begs,
With rheumatics in our legs! . . .
Humph! the legs we used to fling
Limber-jointed in the dance,
When we heard the fiddle ring
Up the curtain of Romance,
And in crowded public halls
Played with hearts like jugglers' balls.--
FEATS OF MOUNTEBANKS, DEPEND!--
Tom Van Arden, my old friend.
Tom Van Arden, my old friend,
Pardon, then, this theme of mine:
While the firelight leaps to lend
Higher color to the wine,--
I propose a health to those
Who have HOMES, and home's repose,
Wife- and child-love without end!
. . . Tom Van Arden, my old friend.

Open Arms
If love is what you want
Baby here I am
If tenderness is what you need
Ive got that to give
If you need some affection
Baby these are open arms
Open arms open arms open arms open arms
You come hem youve had a hard day
Every door you tried to open
Was closing in your face
Im right here Ill be right here
Ill embrace you
Ill be open with my heart
Ill let you in
Ill be open with my thoughts
Ill be your best friend
If you need some attention
Baby these are open arms
Open arms open arms open arms open arms
Every corner you turn
Trouble come your way
But when you get home
Ill try to be there
And Ill embrace you
These are
These are
These are
Open arms
If time is what you need
Baby Ill stop the clocks
If youre looking for something
Maybe Ive got what you want
If theres one thing to remember
Dont forget that these are open arms
Open arms open arms open arms open arms
These are
These are
These are
Open arms

From A Bleak Start
Another day that’s gray and bleak; and what a way to start the week.
But, as the weather changes friend, we too, could have a better end.
With the sun, the sky is brighter, and with The Lord a load is lighter.
When your heart is weighed down, only in Jesus, a Peace is found.
It always seems darkest when, your strength seems to be at its end,
That is when you will see The Lord, open for you a brand new door.
It’s always darkest before the light, as Christ Jesus breaks the night.
Then you see as you regain full sight, that everything will be all right.
So when your life seems overcast, you can be certain it will not last.
As the sun sheds away the gray, Jesus Christ will light up your way.
When in the darkness of this life, use the Light that’s found in Christ.
For Christ’s Light shines so bright, when the days are dark as night.
During these times, it is Christ, who guides you through all your life.
For He will not forsake you friend, indeed, He is with you to the end.
Through the week lean upon Him, Jesus will guide you in everything.
And all the gray will soon subside, as in Christ Jesus you fully abide,
Friend, others shall see your light, when their days are not so bright.
And any light that others can see, is just a small glimpse of eternity.
When Jesus will be The Light, that continually shines forever bright.
A time when all darkness will be, banished throughout all of eternity.
Never again shall we see night, as Christ my friend is Eternal Light.
A time when His Light won’t lack, so to the world we won’t look back.
It is this hope that is in our heart, that keeps us going from the start.
You will see by the week’s end, that it’s not like the beginning friend.
There is an hour, a pensive hour
THERE is an hour, a pensive hour;
(And oh! how dear its soothing pow'r!)
It is, when twilight spreads her veil,
And steals along the silent dale;
'Tis when the fading blossoms close,
When all is silence and repose;
Then memory wakes, and loves to mourn,
For days—that never shall return!
There is a strain, a plaintive strain,
The source of joy and yet of pain;
It is the song, whose dying measure,
Some friend belov'd has heard with pleasure;
Some friend—who ne'er again may hear,
The melting lay, to memory dear;
Ah! then, her magic spells restore,
Visions of blissful days no more!
There is a tear of sweet relief,
A tear—of rapture and of grief;
The feeling heart alone can know
What soft emotions bid it flow!
It is when memory charms the mind,
With tender images refin'd;
'Tis when her balmy spells restore,
Departed friends, and joys no more!

Insatiable Desire
Oh, Lord, My moon, see my plight,
The whole day, the sun I fight,
And my petals I keep closed tight
For you, over the horizon right,
To rise in the starry night,
And kiss me with your cool light.
Oh, Lord, My moon, I now sight
Your luminous mien, so coolly bright,
My coyness with your touch is in flight—
I unfold myself with no fright,
In ecstasy, I dance with all my might
From the shimmering waters of the bight.
Oh, Lord, My moon, I now sight,
The happiness you bestow from infinite height,
The distance that parts us is the day-light,
I wish, I could soar past the kite in delight,
To touch your feet in reverence spright.
But alas! I droop down with incurable blight!

Magic Unfurled in Stilly Night
MAGIC UNFURLED IN STILLY NIGHT
If fair stars glitter in my eyes from you they're sent 'tis no surprise.
Magic unfurled in stilly night, imagination wings free flight,
Advances past life's present plight, to share with you new world's delight.
Unusual lustre in my eyes from you reflects as bright sunrise
Deft spins earth's orbit's winning skies, dark light returns with shared insight.
Each 'twenty-four' speed [s]print as one - see fairies' tasks are never done!
If fair stars' sparkle represents tenderness where each assents,
May verse returned to sender's plane retain the quintessential plain,
All's well, remains, each heart sustains through to, from, each, pane eases pains.
Unforeseen our recompense as new dreams span both 'whither' 'whence'
Dispersing day's incompetence, these energies increase, intense,
Effacing care and worries, - one from two may spring, from struggles, fun.
If scintillation smoothes away the fuss, the cuss of dusty day,
Mending rays send fey touch bright, beam aura gold which somehow might
As epidemic, spread aright, for world polluted care, heal quite.
Unlooked for glister sent from you to you returns through interplay.
Dawn day prepares to permeate two tender hearts that chart shared fate,
Enchanted future cycle's spun through one in two, you too we won, won't be undone.

What is a Friend?
True friends will never let each other down
True friends will tell each other when they are right or wrong
True friends listen to their problems without casting judgment
True friends are never afraid to tell you like it is
A true friend knows when to say no
A true friend will never flop you
A true friend will be supportive of all you do
A true friend will be there to dry your weeping eyes
A true friend will lend a shoulder for you to cry on
A true friend cares how you are doing
A true friend cares about your day-to-day life
A true friend always calls and checks up on you
A true friend gives of himself/herself without asking for anything in return
A true friend would not lend you money but give you whatever they can
A true friend may argue, fuss, and fight with you but will always be there for you
A true friend forgives you for your shortcomings
A true friend will come to your aid no matter what time of day it is
A true friend doesn’t wait to hear from you to make the first call
A true friend just calls to chitchat with you
A true friend is like a Godsend in times of perils
A true friend is always welcoming
A true would give you the coat off their backs
A true friend knows enough is enough
A true friend will be by your side when you need them the most
A true friend will run an intercept or blockage for you
True friends will CYA for each other
True friends knows that this world wasn’t promised to us
True friends make the best of a bad situation
True friends keeps each others secretes
True friends keeps no secretes from one another
True friends share each other’s lives
A true friend is forever
Are you a true friend?
Ask yourself that question
Can you be a true friend?
Do you deserve a good friend?
There are no goodbyes in life, just hellos
Hello friend

Gently my Friend
Gently my friend
Gently gently my friend
For your words only tend
To extend
The moment I descend
Upon you with the truth
Look at us
Let’s examine our personal fuss
That’s dissolved our years of harmonious union
And created total fusion
Of distrust and tension
How can you question my loyalty?
And condemn it as utterly faulty
When only yesterday
You pronounced me
As the best friend you ever had
Oh! My friend, how sad!
Think about what we’ve been through
We have hitched hiked the world together
Laughed and cried together while writing chapters of our book
Trust me our experiences have not been a fluke
We have been through the whole lot
I have watched you grow
With love, respect and admiration
I can predict what mood swings you are going to show
In a minute or a fraction in a reaction to my actions
Yet now you call me a slut
I know I have stood you up on numerous occasions
At restaurants, bars and clubs for celebrations
But did it ever occur to you
That I was going through a whole load of shit
Even contemplating personal defeat
Maybe I am saying this with a resentful tone
But there are so many times
Even with your presence I have felt alone
Gently, gently my friend
I strongly recommend
That we take our time and pretend
That this damage is repairable
Because from experience
Self defence is the worst type of defence
To impose between me and you
Let’s examine where we have gone wrong
My faith in you is still very strong
Is it because I lied to you
That is absolutely nothing new
You have known me for so long
To accept me for my weaknesses
When I do lie
It’s because I do try
Very hard to be perfect for you
I know its wrong, what I do
That’s why lately I try to be true
Because in my heart I truly value you
Gently Gently my friend
I know there was a time
I really hurt you when I took away your love
While tying to blend and extend my horizons
I took what we had for granted
I was only after my selfish needs
I was completely blind
And you were extremely kind
To forgive me
When I saw the light
Oh! Friend please don’t give up the fight
Let’s not plunge into a plight
Oh it will make such a pitiful sight

Love’s Last Bow
Each star in sight must mourn sad plight
to orbits tied - as ride
seems far too tight – with main and might
each dreams new path to glide.
But Nature bars the plans of stars,
as those of mice and men
no nebular seen from afar
infinite space distends.
Don’t pick the plum[b] by rule of thumb
but question ‘here and now’ –
don’t haw and hum, learn what’s become
of Love’s eternal vow.
When first beside my charming bride
both plighted love sans end.
but now tide turned – and burned inside
I redefine ‘a friend’?
Let those ‘Love’ write in black and white
in shame blame flame denied,
who flies high kite at dawn, by night
finds fall uncircumscribed.
Through star eyes wide, sighs multiplied
the dreams of ‘never end’,
too much relied upon self pride,
to compromise or bend.
When dawn has come love is struck dumb
by an infernal row,
then mourn the sum of luck left numb,
‘how, ow’ replacing ‘wow! ’
Undone love’s power that no guitar
now strings – sting which heart rends, -
dark [f]acts bizarre in life’s bazaar
which no-one recommends.
Though stars in flight shine bright tonight
reflections fossilized
by Time’s indictment sentenced quite
tomorrow sees subside.

Keep It Precious
You brought me to trust you brought me to tears
In one tender touch the pain disappears
I have been to the sword seen it come seen it die
As we enter the dark I bessech you to try
In prophecy all good things must end
So take care my love my friend
Keep it precious
Keep it precious
This yielding is fine this promise rare
One day at a time we've agreed to dare
Holding you tight with wide open arms
I'm letting you go no stranger to harm
Go on ride your way do not break or bend
Just take care my love my friend
Keep it precious
Keep it precious
And the wonder let the wonder never cease
And the madness of the pleasure and ecstasy
Danger believing me
Wounding and healing me please
Keep it precious
I believe in your eyes I believe in your fate
I believe we can fly on the wings we create
A voice from behind calls up anger and fear
We can silence that scream it's simple and clear
Nothing must die only if failed to mend
So take care my love my friend
Keep it precious

Words From A Husband To A Wife (Envelope Couplet Sestets)
Spend your time with me until the night end
as we attend a party at the house of a friend
smile and talk to me as if I am someone else
laugh merrily at the jokes our host tells,
while you dance with me where the stairs bend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
smile coyly while a drink I recommend,
treat me like a stranger you have just met
while our eyes are just on each other set,
let your glance shy before mind descend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
even if our friends do not really comprehend
why we are different from our old stances
why we are romancing in all our glances
while like some strangers we together blend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
as if life on a moment do depend
while you act just like a brand new lover,
as if our feelings we did rediscover,
as if we met only on a godsend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end,
friendly greet the old smiling reverend
while we proudly walk past to our dinner
as if we are just two love-struck sinners,
while our unfamiliarity we do pretend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
