Deux Routes: des routes et des déroutes
DEUX ROUTES
Two roads appear here, one to errors past
Will lead whatever speed her journey takes
Open options t'other, old mistakes
Role reversed through interaction fast
Offering fair freedom to forecast
Active advance freewill in conscience makes.
Destiny must favour mind which wakes
Sensitive to others, self, at last
Allowing future fortunate, feast fast
With welcome banquet may replace. Hope breaks
All walls as palls are lifted, bread AND cakes
Ideal on menu offer fine repast.
The choice: rejoice/refuse luck's olive sprig,
EDge lose or choose free voice, joy's whirligig.

Cause and Consequence

Undoing ill that second-thoughts may show

Much harm is done when wishful thinking mocks

Unlocks outlook unfortunate or blocks

Most roads rejoin itinerary pre-traced,
As cause and consequence are intertwined,
Use or abuse of options closed, unlaced,

Failsafe is Self Delusion
Deny temptations of soft ride,
ease superficial, risks unquantified,
choosing “safe way”, straight road comfort fed,
idea[l]s mediocre are poor guide,
deride free choice, autonomy, self pride, -
exchanging fad, conformity, for bread.
Despise stop-gap solutions qualified
everywhere as failsafe when, allied,
complacency and status found in bed,
incestuous are chosen for free ride,
denigrating options for scope wide,
endure more than participate, choice dread.
Dreams sacrificed to mirage fears short-sighted
turn self-prophetic, lead to future blighted.

Refuse Short Fuse
Short fuse refuse, compliance automatic
Has had its day, rejoice in choices where
Open horizons offer future fair.
Ride the tide to banish autocratic
Traits of mind behind smiles soft and static.
Find scale, tune time to shed blind veil, compare
Unbiased options open everywhere.
Signals send amending all erratic
Ephemera extemporary, ecstatic.
Swift to pencil in blank sheet we bear
Hope’s theme: responsibility and care
Over patter pattern enigmatic.
Remember Patience, smiling still at Grief,
Takes time to rhyme, allows the mind relief...

I’m or Im-perfect
I'M OR IM-PERFECT
Perfection mirage often seems,
Equity protection needs.
Responsibility recedes
From cul-de-sac coercive streams.
Extrapolating god supreme
Church sectarian worry beads
To contention lead, strife breeds
Further strife, attracts extremes,
Advocates discrimative themes.
Much dogma self-defeats, or feeds
Irrationality. Who reads
Life’s conformist pressures, narrow schemes,
Yearns for alternatives, free dreams.

I’m or Im-perfect
Perfection is not always what it seems,
Equity protection active needs,
Responsibility as tide recedes
From open options when coercive stream
Ebbs from freedom’s tenets, to false scheme
Church led [whatever church or sect] that leads
Too often to contention, strife that breeds
Further strife despite ‘truth’ some say gleams,
Attending 'church on Sunday' here speaks reams,
Much dogma self defeats, resentment feeds.
If 'Freedom' is at stake, awake! Who reads
Life’s pressures on conforming to set themes
Yet seeks alternate avenues, fires dreams.

Sonnet: Road to Heaven
Just like some roads that lead me to my home,
And many others that cannot so do,
So do some roads surely lead me to You,
And some cannot no matter how I roam.
Like how I know the nature of the road,
The time and stress involved whenev’r I go,
God gives us freedom to choose yes or no,
The road we want to take, time, strain and mode.
But how can we ever reach His abode,
When we take roads that do not lead to it?
Just like road-rules, God gives us each His code;
Following it is easy by habit.
To reach our home, we must choose the right road;
So must we choose right road to God’s abode.

Progress
Progress
Progress expresses courage, leaves behind
All unhappiness as heart can start
Making up time lost. Each puzzle part
Eases into place within the mind, -
Light the touch, much tension may unwind
Allowing scope for hope, new worlds to chart.
Problems solved, and walls dissolved with art,
Augur pastures green, set scene to find
Magic harbour safe, serene, assigned, -
Excluding pressures in a world apart.
Life takes on fresh colours à la carte
And offers fair reflection unconfined.
PAMpered past to self acceptance cedes,
ELAtion follows as vain pain recedes

Blossom Comes with Spring - 1378
Joy and imagination here would seek
Attainment and serenity, at last
Creating through a wonder word world fast
Karmic fusion where two minds may speak
Intensely, neither verbally nor weak.
Expectations high were, in the past,
Countered by betrayal - world which vast
Had seemed became less trusting, sprang a leak,
Although awareness reached fresh plateau peak.
Need for self-trust, priority forecast,
Combining choice with voice, full sails, strong mast,
Heart high held here hopes harmony. Hurt bleak
At present fades preparing future fair,
New blossom comes with spring, warms everywhere.

NEW TEAR'S CANDLE

Loose Change
I built a house of cards
Built a house of rain
Built a house of love
Its hard to build again
Built a road to reason
Built a road to fate
Built a road to the promised land
Right up to the gate
Loose change in my pocket
Future in my hand
Too many distractions
For me to understand
Too many distractions
Got to get back home
Get into something solid
Get out of the zone
Some roads bring renewal
Some roads hide and wait
Some roads promise everything
And steal your fuel away
Loose change in my pocket
Future in my hand
Too many distractions
For me to understand
Some roads I been flyin
Some roads I crashed
Some roads I been sleepin on
Some roads I got back
Some roads I been runnin
Some roads I was stopped
Some roads I been walkin down
Some roads I was lost

Options
Options, options, options,
ever too many choices.
Purple, Black, Blue or Green,
so many whispering voices;
Clint Eastwood, Kirk Douglas, Charly Sheen.
Options, options, options,
your thoughts bubbling away.
No time to choose but Delay:
'Sticks and stones can't break my bones,
but Options they can kill you still!

There Are Many Roads To Take
at this point in my life
there are always many roads to take
the options are limitless
the roads looking like hairs
and fibers and swirling octopuses
so confusing
so tempting to take those
that make me happy
but i have decided
to take this rougher road
with you, my love
i have taken your hand
i have given my word
that is the difference

Bread Hair
Im a wigged-out daddy with bread on top
I dig an easy-bake granny with a whiskey mop
If you love me, you neednt the whole wheat crop
cause they had a useless battle andll never stop
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Youre drivin all my hope away
Im a pumpernickel-do for you, dough you do
Use a yarmulka of hallah bread if youre a jew
I belong to cayope*, I be the wheat for you
Yeast and flour, bake an hour, its annoying shampoo
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Drivin all my hope away
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Bread hair, oh boy, oh boy
Youre drivin all my hope away
Thats a gone rug, buddy

Marie Antoinette
They told to Marie Antoinette:
"The beggers at your gate
Have eyes too sad for tears to wet,
And for your pity wait."
But Marie only laughed and said:
"My heart they will not ache:
If people starve for want of bread
Let them eat cake."
The Court re-echoed her bon mot;
It rang around the land,
Till masses wakened from their woe
With scyth and pick in hand.
It took a careless, callous phrase
To rouse the folk forlorn:
A million roared the Marseillaise:
Freedom was born.
And so to Marie Antoinette
Let's pay a tribute due;
Humanity owes her a debt,
(Ironical, it's true).
She sparked world revolution red,
And as with glee they bore
Upon a pike her lovely head
--Her curls dripped gore.

Empowerment
Times of trouble sponge solutions new,
Insight inks page which once seemed whitewash blank.
Grief is patient. Joy greets the dawn to thank
Hope for fresh sparks where all once seemed askew.
The challenge unchains energy that through
Creative actions borrow from the bank
Of inner strength, experiences drank
Retained in brain, regurgitate on cue -
New inklings spliced with instincts tried and true.
Errors past forge future force if frank,
Reproachless one remains, nor closed, nor crank.
Sincerity succeeds if luck smiles too.
Turned, tight corners open vistas which
Empower options sure solutions stitch.

Tight Corners
Times of trouble sponge solutions new,
Inklings spring up, ink in what seemed blank.
Grief is patient, joy greets the dawn to thank
Hope for fresh sparks where all appeared askew.
The challenge unchains energy which through
Creative insight borrows from the bank
Of inner strenght and knowled which, once drank,
Retained within the brain was, then, on cue,
New-born did blossom: instinct tried and true.
Errors past forge future force if frank,
Reproachless one remains, and not a crank.
Sincerity succeeds if luck smiles too.
Tight corners prove the mettle of the soul,
Cast off all doubts, rewards you’ll reap, not dole.

On the Breadline
In the baked dough of flour, water and yeast
they were chatting merrily while baking.
The robust baker listens; ' flour said' I was in a big field
and then after the crop they took me to a mill and they grind.
Water laughed and said' I don't know where I have come from? '.
Yeast said 'I was a fungus dear; not only in the bakery
in the brewery too a good demand for us.
I heard that they make bread, cake and so many varieties out of us.
Our price goes high everyday and a poor cannot afford.'
History says; Marie.Antoinette said to the poor
'if you cannot eat bread then why don't you try cake? '
And the following day they invaded the fortress Bastile.
