Contradictions Miriam Mendes Torres de Olivera

MIracle or lack of self-esteem,

AMong songs sacred none may paraphrase,
MENDing scars, or Styx forgetful stream?
Energy or superficial gleam.
STORy's happy tale or bale betrays?
RESponsive sharing or self-seeking praise

Power generation
You live up your life and it feels like fire
Suspended in animation
A trick of the light and it drives you higher
Blind vision blind faith
You really can be sold
If you dare to disagree
Its just not within the scheme of things
To give up your life so easily
Thats not the way youre meant to be
What a waste of time and energy
Its just not within the scheme of things(live your life)
To give up your life so easily, easily(Ill be there)
Psychic celebration
Look up in the stars and see venus rising
Rapture, fascination
You live for the night and your own desire
Blind vision blind faith
You really cant rely
On what they tell you for effect
Its not just within the scheme of things(live your life)
To give up your life so easily
Thats not the way youre meant to be(I do care)

Obsessed

Even if you are in it to win,
Or sitting on the sidelines cheering...
Be there on top of your game!
Whether rehearsing for performance,
Your mind is on it from the time you arise
At dawn!
This is something you can not take off,
To put back on!
You have declared it something that you do!
Prove it!
Be there on top of your game!
Having hope and faith...
Pacing through the motions taken,
Does not create results.
If nothing you do makes it happen.
Be fully awake by going beyond expectations!
Taking 'five' to socialize...
Just delays reality!
Frustrate if you wish.
But know this...
There are no bit parts to play for 'stars'!
Accolades are not rewarded for intentions.
Not today!
If you are not on top of your game,
Because you love what it is you do...
Regard it as a hobby to fill in the passing of time.
Remove from your mind the faking of seriousness.
When doing 'you'? It should be about business,
Always!
Every moment lived is an audition.
And success is a gamble one takes.
Not guaranteed for trying!
Too many lie to themselves and become disappointed.
Thinking about hitting home runs...
Instead of sweating through the making of attempts.
'Feeling' the perfect pitch when it comes!
A few know what one actually looks like!
They have been in place,
Most of their lives.
Others talk...
Building up confidence as if seeking assistance.
They believe something made to look like fun,
Comes easy to the one enjoying it!
They discover too late in life,
Work applied is required.
Heartbreak mending had to be done.
And working on a dream to come true...
Is a constant thing!
No one obsessed or beseiged with what they do,
Is lucky!
That observation is just what it is!
An 'observation'.
An assessment not invested.

O'Sun

O'Sun...
The supplier of life,
And the keeper of unknown
Mysterious delights...
We here on your Earth,
Take for granted inspite of our dislikes.

O'Sun,
I praise this energy to me you give.
And the miracle this life here is.
And the wonder of it done.
Enjoyed as it is.
From you O'Sun!

O'Sun shine your light.
As just one of millions of stars...
To come to twinkle bright.
In a universe filled with magic!
As you view as you do...
Our internal struggles.
While leeching upon your Earth,
With our self serving values...
That is within your giving sight!

All In A Golden Afternoon (instrumental)

All in the golden afternoon full leisurely we glide
For both our oars, with little skill, by little arms are plied
While little hands make vain pretence our wanderings to guide
Our wanderings to guide
Ah, cruel three! In such an hour, beneath such dreamy weather
To beg a tale of breath too weak to stir the tiniest feather
Yet what can one poor voice avail, against three tongues together
Against three tongues together
Anon, to sudden silence won, in fancy they pursue
The dream child moving through a land of wonders wild and new
In friendly chat with bird or beast--and half believe it true
And half believe it true
And ever, as the story drained the wells of fancy dry
And faintly strove that weary one to put the subject by
The next time--"It is next time" the happy voices cry!
The happy voices cry!
Thus grew the tale of wonderland, thus slowly one by one
Its quaint events were hammered out--and now the tale is done
And home we steer
A merry crew
Beneath the setting sun

Miracle

A Child was born
What happiness!
Mother too tired
Still in pain
But what's that? ! Hey!
Child in good health!
That is the Miracle!
Nothing of shame..

Beautiful Angel
First breast feeding
First glance, first smile
Frst call, first step!
All these are blessing
Memories that warms
Even the coldest heart
Lights any face!
That are the Miracles!
Nothing of shame..

But what about
Hardest times
When Child is
Sick and doesnt eat
Soo many worries:
Guess the cry
Is Child in danger?
Hurt? ..How? ..Why?
Your heart jumps out..
But when the child's
Getting safe, all right
That's Happiness! !
Nothing of shame..

Years past by
I'm afraid
The Child has gone
You find yourself alone
Can't, but remember
Everyday and smile of
Past Miracles!
Nothing of shame..

Worries still there
But not the same
Now find yourself
asking and wondering
Is the Big Child ok,
not hungry! ?
Does Child's heart happy?
Loved, it doesn't
Cry of hurt?
You'll never stop to worry
That's a fact
But miracles has gone
Remains the Fear
And the feeling Lone
No more miracles left
No moore..Is it or
Not a shame? ! ..

Now! Start to live
Live for self
Go on! Come
See miracles
again, this time
Done for nobody but you!
Say it:
Miracles for me!
See? !
That's nothing of shame..

Be Brave Go On,
Couse in the end
Your soul
Has always been
It is
And forever be
alone..
This earth this time
This world
Will never let you get
or find own soul fate..
No miracle left
No one to blame
Start to do one
By self, for nobody
But you
That Miracle too
Should not be
of any
Shame...

For me, anything can be a miracle, as long as brings a smile(*_*) lol

My Past

I can never let go of my past because my past has marked me

Every time I look down
Every time I look over
There is my past

The notches
The bold the non-mistakable scars
…the scars
My past

Each and every one has a story
Each and every one has a memory
Each and every one has brought tears to my eyes

For no story nor memory are of happiness, triumph, or glory

No, they are of fear, anxiety, self-hatred, paranoia, and loneliness

I can never let go of my past because my past will always be part of me

Feels Like

Shinning like the brightest light,
Love extending from my heart.
Many years I did fight.
For the righteous to be imparted,
Of a pureness I believe on.
A strength deep within,
Sharing life and sharing feelings.
Like the fight of an eagle in the wind.
So much joy in a sweet little smile,
Now consumed, softly in a breath taking moment.
As I dream of days that has past by.
Through the roughness of the storm,
The light ascends to heaven above.
Where wisdom guides your weakness.
Strength prevails your Love.

Broken For The Last Time

Was I the cause of my fall.
Did I let him ruin me
Like a mirror that fell I was down on the floor with nothing but pieces of myself only too sore.
Quickly I mend myself trying to not show any signs.
Was it the last time?

Somebody show me a sign, will this life ever be mine. All I hope is that I was broke for the last time.
I'm not even that pretty anymore. My smile is filled with nothing but cracks
I so wonder every night what I lack.
Whatever did I do to deserve this is the only question that permeates my mind.

Nothing I ever do is right. I can do it all but fight.
I've lost the energy to continue mending myself. I never chose this way.

It changed a bright day to gloom, a sunny morning to a dark night, twisted my every dream.
I have long been hoping to escape this situation.
With all hope I have.... May I be broken for the last time.

Intimations Of Immortality (In Answer To William Wordsworth)

I

Love is something that we see
in a eternal light
with a own illumination in the darkest night
and its goodness is more than mere charity

as if immortality comes to it
when it is true and sincere,
when we really hold someone dear
and it fills our souls bit by tiny bit

and where our lives are only fleeting
we long for some perfection,
something more to our affection,
something that goes beyond each meeting

of the human kind
something of the divine,
something rare past fine,
that we try to define in the human mind.

II

We notice the sun that hides during the night
but returns daily with a kind of celestial light
and view it as necessary to maintain life,
we notice the ocean stretching beyond mere sight

and even at times the hills seems eternal,
the seasons that comes and go
the falling rain, the winter snow,
volcanoes that seem infernal

holds to us a special place
are all things that we view as being constant
and for life on some of them we are dependant
but we only live by amazing grace.

Yet everything is fleeting and transitory,
stars explode; their energy at a time is spent
and it is this earth’s story
that all things are evanescent.

III

Only God is eternal and immortal,
and His power with which He sustains things
while to us who are merely mortal
by His grace there are daily awakenings

and with every new birth
His unconditional love is expressed
as involvement from the divine on this earth
and continually we are blessed

while rainbows hold a own secret message,
while there is life in every meadow, grove, and stream
and His power and presence isn’t just a dream
but is expressed from eternity and still acts in this age.

The Challenge

I had a dream
To challenge a scheme
And with my scheme
I shattered my dream
I had a scheme
To challenge a dream
And with my dream
I shattered my scheme
The scheme the brain and the dream
They challenged my self-esteem
I had a brain that conceived the dream
That challenged the scheme
That shattered the dream
That challenged my self-esteem
I had a brain that conceived the scheme
That challenged the dream
That shattered the scheme
That challenged my self-esteem
The brain the scheme and the dream
They challenged my self-esteem
With my self-esteem,
I challenge my scheme
To challenge my brain
To conceive the dream
That shattered the scheme
With my, scheme
I challenge my self-esteem
To challenge my brain
To conceive the dream

Shadow Of Shame

The say: 'it is in the eyes that truth is discerned';
Perhaps nostalgia was the ruse that blinded me-
And that I did not see, is a painful lesson learned!
There were not-so-subtle signs, that should have reminded me
That all is not always as it may seem;
Alas, I may not undo the tragedy of my past,
But, I may learn, to the benefit of my own redeem,
That the shadow of shame, does not, upon me, cast!
My shadow is yet to be fully defined,
Yet, sikerly, shall include righteous indignation,
Mistrust, and anguish, somehow combined.
Though, I will say, without a moment's hesitation,
I am a better man, in the wake of this travesty-
Thanks in no small way, to His guidant Hand and Majesty!

Unending Love

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age-old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Why Fades A Dream

WHY fades a dream?
An iridescent ray
Flecked in between the tryst
Of night and day.
Why fades a dream? —
Of consciousness the shade
Wrought out by lack of light and made
Upon life's stream.
Why fades a dream?
That thought may thrive,
So fades the fleshless dream;
Lest men should learn to trust
The things that seem.
So fades a dream,
That living thought may grow
And like a waxing star-beam glow
Upon life's stream —
So fades a dream.

Nobody Else

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make claims that they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make those claims they had it when they did.
No!

The sharing space all in my face.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or sharing toothpaste not replaced.
Nobody else will get to know.
To get that close to me no more.
Nobody else will get to know...
Snuggling up when they get cold.

NO!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make that claim they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make those claims they had it when they did.
No!

How I look before I'm dressed.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or how I look in nakedness.
Nobody else will get to know.
Blemishes exposing flaws.
Nobody else will get to know...
What I like or what I hate.
Since my mind is back in shape.

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make a claim they had it when they did.
No!

Nobody else will ever get a chance to get it.
Oh no.
Or make one claim they had it when they did.
No!

I'm not giving up a bit of my peace to leave it!
Oh no.
I'm not seeking anymore to wound and heal.
Uh, uh no, no!

I'm not giving up a bit of my peace to leave it!
Oh no.
I'm not seeking anymore to wound and heal.
Uh, uh no, no!

No more bending or giving in!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
No more bending or giving in!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those doors once open now are closed.

The sharing space all in my face.
Nobody else will get to know.
Or sharing toothpaste not replaced.
Nobody else will get to know.
To get that close to me no more.
Nobody else will get to know...
Snuggling up when they get cold.
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
Those scars I've had I've let them go!
And no one will ever get that close,

No, no!

And no one will ever get that close,
Again!

Bad Energy

Nothing seems to please!
And you are critical of everyone...
And everything you see.
And you want to play the blame game.
With a touch of hide-and-seek...
With your parents, the friends left you have
And me!
But I am not having that bad energy.
Donated and/or given freely.
I don't accept!

I bid you and your bitterness goodbye!
I am not going to have my peace of mind
Jeopardized.
Nor confined by your lack of self esteem,
And dependency you have had no problem finding!

I don't need that!
And I don't need you!
What I need is clear vision...
And someone not on a scavenger hunt,
With darkness to fill a mind
On a funk ride in pursuit!
And you are on the prowl
To spook my good!

You 'dim' my light!
You wish to ignite and spark my fuse!
You ain't gon' do that.
Get back!
Subtract yourself,
Now!

But He Said

As a female you are…
Or should be on cloud nine…
Not because you are so fine…

But because of now…
And at this time…
Women becoming unto themselves…

There songs to be song…
Bright is the day…
The past never goes away…

And then you meet…him…
Not wanting to go astray…
A few impromptu…whispers…

And he is in…
Oops..
You’ve done it again…

Shame on you…smile…

I'm not Cinderella

This bell ring spread a beautiful memories
About a girl who tried to catch a little dream
Unfortunely she found herself in a middle of
Life that she couldn’t spend without perseverance

She now close her heart to anybody else
Then a charming prince come to lend a hand
To a poor little girl who couldn’t feel
Love or happiness she’s hard to believe in

I’m not Cinderella or any princess else
She said
I’m not live or wait for white horse mounts
I’m not want to love or be loved
That’s not a thing like I could hand on

Everyday till past I live in the heavy rain
And I don’t need you to give me a sunshine
I’m not cry or hurt at night
Don’t stand on your own mind! ! ! !

I’m not Cinderella or any princess else
Not that time or this time
Waiting for true love?
Don’t say a mess

But yes she used to dream as one
Wear a white dress with a man who stand
Right beside her
Carrying her hand
Then they kissed
Live happy ever after

But
I’m not Cinderella or any princess else
I will love without be loved
And only lost
To a beauty dream like you just appear
And if I give you my heart you will tear it apart

But
I’m not Cinderella or any princess else
No love story will tell in my midnight tale

Star Song

You got your tongue pierced once,
and you say you've got another,
that you can't show anyone,
unless it's under covers,
but you're running around showing everyone your new tattoo.
You got an A in class,
and you hoped no one would notice,
you're the smartest kid in school,
and it makes you self-conscious,
and your loser boyfriend is smoking out in the boys room.
I wish someone would tell you,
you're a star the way you are,
you know you're not fooling anyone.
No, you've got the eyes of an angel,
don't try to change, yeah,
everybody's got their scars.
(everybody's got their scars)
No matter what they tell you,
you're beautiful the way you are.
I bet your mom was so happy,
you became a cheerleader,
home coming queen,
just like your older sister,
'till you dyed your hair pink
and they said what were you drinking,
and it never did sink in,
it don't matter what they think.
Cause you're a star the way you are,
you know you're not fooling anyone.
No, you've got the eyes of an angel,
don't try to change, yeah,
everybody's got their scars,
(everybody's got their scars)
never mind how ugly they are.
(never mind how ugly they are)
No matter what they tell you,
you're beautiful the way you are.
Oh the way you are,
(oh the way you are)
oh the way you are,
(oh the way you are)
oh the way you are,
yeah.
You're a star the way you are,
You know you're not fooling anyone.
No, you've got the eyes of an angel,
don't try to change, yeah,
everybody's got their scars.
(everybody's got their scars)
No matter what they tell you
you're beautiful you are.
You're a star the way you are,
no, you're not fooling anyone.
