Break Out - 0509 - Current Version
S[h]e's lived protected by strong walls Time's w[r]it
Let stand too long, pride's ride before fast fall,
Ignoring purposefully fact that all
Vain structures tumble, tumbril hypocrite.
EDict: Earth's dust dissolves shawls man would knit.
Protection serves slight purpose overall,
Respite cannot postpone the final call
Of fate, death's date sees puzzle pieces fit.
The time has come to quit false safety, split
Entrenched opinions, narrow minds and small,
Creation hindered, progress held in thrall.
Turn thoughts towards tomorrow, future lit,
Each step to freedom leaves fell past behind;
Destroying bias, locks, unlocks blind mind.

Break Out 0509 - Initial Version
I've lived protected by those walls Time's wit
Lets stand a while, like pride before the fall,
Ignoring purposely the fact that all
Vain structures tumble down, and bit by bit
Earth into dust dissolves what man would knit.
Protection serves its purpose, for the wall
Relieves some pressures, gives the wherewithal
Of time to see life's puzzle pieces fit.
The time has come to quit false safety, split
Entrenched opinion whose scope seems so small,
Creation hinders, progress holds in thrall.
Turn then with me towards fresh future lit!
Each step to freedom leaves the past behind,
Destroying bias, liberates the mind!

For Mel (villanelle)
The one who should have lived has gone so fast.
The old ones, in their dotage, linger on –
they, with no future, live only in the past.
And we who can but sit, dumb and aghast,
scarcely believe that while the sun still shone
the one who should have lived has gone so fast.
Six decades older, surviving to their last
few days or years, together but alone,
they, with no future, live only in the past.
At least she kept on living to the last,
but should have had a future. She has none.
The one who should have lived has gone so fast,
and they, for whom so many years have passed,
are unaware that one they loved is gone.
They, with no future, live only in the past,
mark time until the final trumpet blast,
and never know the respite they have won.
The one who should have lived has gone so fast.
They, with no future, live only in the past.

Small Minds
It is hard for me to understand the thoughts of a small mind
A mind that operates within a box with walls strongly defined
I wish to know how one can stay so closed up and sheltered
In a world full of diversity and progress they must feel sweltered
Not understanding the world due to limited abilities I can get
But if you have the IQ and still turn your head it makes me upset
How about the guy that is infected with an inferiority complex
And covers it up with an attitude that is loud and lacking respect
We all know that the bossy macho guy is actually a small man
In all aspects he is narrow as found in the members of the klan
At times I wish I could shake some guys severely and wake them up
Welcoming them to a new world by handing over reality in a cup
Then there are women that hide behind the religious writings
Freely interpret them as they see fit being afraid of excitements
It is a viscious circle to teach daughters dependency and shame
Saying that they are less worth than a man and not the same
I don't understand why religion is the main cause of all denial
Small minds kept small - I wish to put the false prophets on trial
Sometimes I am afraid because small minds gain power very fast
Which has been a very sad fact of our history and proven in the past
It should be lonely so deeply burried in a black box without doors
But instead the small minded recruit others and start more wars
I wish I could break through speaking the language of the seeing blind
Because it is hard for me to understand the thoughts of a small mind

Narrow Your Eyes
I dont want to change your mind
I dont want to think about your mind
They say love is blind
I dont think youre blind
You dont want to understand
And I dont want to shake your fathers hand
And walk in the sand
And act like a man
I get on the bus
And ride past our stop
And though Im late
I cant get off
I just cant bear to tell you some lies
And narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Well take back every thing we said
Split up all the things and move ahead
Forgot how you said
Well split the side off the bed
I get on my bike
Ride down our block
Ride through the world
Through the green lights
But when I think of all your advice
I narrow my eyes
Narrow my eyes
I dont want to change your mind
I dont want to think about your mind
They say love is blind
I dont think youre blind
I get on the bus
Ride past our stop
And though Im late
I cant get off
I just cant bear to tell you some lies
And narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Now lets toast the sad cold fact
Our loves never coming back
And well race to the bottom of a glass
So narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes
Narrow your eyes

Too December.......
I'm so glad you made time to see me
How's life? Tell me, how's your family?
I haven't seen them in a while
You've been good, busier than ever
We small talk, work and the weather
Your guard is up, and I know why
Because the last time you saw me
Is still burned in the back of your mind
You gave me roses, and I left them there to
die
So this is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you, saying I'm sorry
for that night
And I go back to December all the time
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but
missing you
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you
were mine
I go back to December, turn around and
make it alright
I go back to December all the time
These days, I haven't been sleeping
Staying up, playing back myself leaving
When your birthday passed, and I didn't
call
Then I think about summer, all the
beautiful times
I watched you laughing from the passenger
side
And realized I loved you in the fall
And then the cold came, the dark days
When fear crept into my mind
You gave me all your love, and all I gave
you was goodbye
So this is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you, saying I'm sorry
for that night
And I go back to December all the time
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but
missing you
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you
were mine
I go back to December, turn around and
change my own mind
I go back to December all the time
I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile
So good to me, so right
And how you held me in your arms that
September night
The first time you ever saw me cry
Maybe this is wishful thinking
Probably mindless dreaming
But if we loved again, I swear I'd love you
right
I'd go back in time and change it, but I
can't
So if the chain is on your door, I
understand
This is me swallowing my pride
Standing in front of you, saying I'm sorry
for that night
And I go back to December
It turns out freedom ain't nothing but
missing you
Wishing I'd realized what I had when you
were mine
I go back to December, turn around and
make it alright
I go back to December, turn around and
change my own mind
I go back to December all the time, all the
time

(Writer Poem) As The Poem I Write
Sometimes a comment is just not what is needed.
Neither is going back to the drawing board.
Corrections must be made.
I've made so many on my own trust me.
I take pride in everything I write.
So I'm constantly inspecting, and words I'm always injecting.
Hmm, that just doesn't sound right.
I can hear every word I type in my own voice.
I'm speaking through my mind.
Through the waves of time.
In a private message I will make suggestions to those who are not disciplined when it comes even to capitalization
I will make only tiny suggestions for it is theirs.
They must reread it and reread it.
One must edit his own work after the thoughts are complete.
Trying to make them nice and neat.
The eyes begin to blur and then it is time to take a break.
Time away.
Time to gather ones thoughts for another day.
Time is all one needs to create a window which will open up and lead into their world.
Everyone is unique and all of its own.
Yet they are so many clones.
For frequently similarities do exist even when great is the distance.
We do think a lot like as much as we hate to admit it.
I try to not be bias as best I can.
But sometimes feelings so strong do nag at you.
Saying they are wrong.
But I do not give in easily for I know it could always be reversed.
A controversy in terms of the opinions of the readers.
Opinions being so many that it is sometimes hard to resolve the differences from fact and fiction.
The ability to easily lie with no idea that we even did it is a definite human affliction.
Unintentional will habits of progress.
A continuation of aggravation in varying elaborations.
With each puzzle solved multiple new one forms.
Sometimes even more difficult then last.
Sometimes for help and guidance we turn to the past.
For in a certain we think lies the solution.
The dawning of a conclusion.
And we sometimes think this order might destroy the chaos all around us.
But it will not.
It will make it easier to deal with.
But their is no fixing it.
Not as the poem I write.

Prosperity Palls
PROSPERITY PALLS
The era of pleasure is over for ever,
prosperity palls, seldom fails to appal.
When seeking some sanity see we should sever
last links with societal sirens that call
after all with fast laughter, considering never
that Man’s many illusions to dust must soon fall,
as dispassionate Death’s thrall not even keen, clever,
can ever avert, all are measured withal.
Vain attempts to escape fate prove empty endeavour
for sooner or later all sleep in Time's shawl.

Wafer
The Present: a nano-thin wafer wall
on which we wanderers waiver, stall
for time - waifs small on ant-heap tall -
soon turned to ashes spurned, shred shawl
on which we pile from fast Past’s dust,
rich dream state which maintains its thrall
to spell Man’s time-plan wherewithal -
framework contextual all-in-all.
This transient recorded scrawl
upon the wall of fate thus must
seem progam which can disinstall
itself when system crashes - fall
whose ripples often waterfall
from chaos and beginnings small -
an ore shawl for next cycle’s rust –
from an apparent free-for-all,
create conditions for long haul,
new ball-game to begin it all
again and open options call.
There is no suit, no overcall,
no certitudes test stand, no trawl
to net immortal treasure haul
reducing time's hands to a crawl,
no trumps to draw nor hand to bust,
no eth[n]ic insight to recall
Fate's finger witness to forestall
mortal misgivings’ babble brawl.
Time 's spin yin yang spurs Future’s ball
which strays yet heedless stays withal,
ever in need of overhaul.
We wonder why fate's fleet footfall
ignores far, near, star dear, fear, trust,
quite unconcerned with mortal pall,
oblivious to the rise and fall
of Man’s un-echoed caterwaul.

Warrior
Wasnt there a time
When no one lived in pain
Zero down to zero
But a warrior
The innocence of birth
The power of the earth
Out of all thats good
Comes a warrior
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
Justice has been gone
To pieces for so long
Some killers call themselves
A warrior
Warriors with no pride
Committing suicide
The picture of a man
Thats your warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Think about the time
Where manhood promised pride
And history was made
Just by warriors
We have to face the world
And hope that someones heard
Who could replace a man
Like the warrior
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
Time - is it you who changes minds
Suing us - for something weve not done
Stealing the heroes - all the guiding lights, to find the way
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior
Yes, hes a warrior
He fights for peace and freedom
cause hes a warrior..........

Time
(m&l - deris)
Feel it running off
So strong and clear
An age is over fast
And disappears
Help him if you can
His hour will come soon
Push away his fear
Hell see elysium
Its time
Its time
Guard him a little while
And calm his shiver
Wash and dry his tears
And cold his fever
Take the bibles words
Speak it pure his soul
Lay love in his mind
His close to the final goal
Its time
Its time
Its time to go
Time for the freedom
Time to face what we all believe in
Pray strong
Pray to the higher
Turn your back on the devils fire
Time to go
Time for freedom
Time to face what we all believe in
Time is passing by
When his mind is clear
He called your brother
Now his brain is dazed
Its resigning rather
Mother take his hand
Say a last good-bye
Were not gifted to
Turn water into wine
Its time
Its time
Its time to go
Time for the freedom
Time to face what we all believe in
Pray strong
Pray to the higher
Turn your back on the devils fire
Time to go
Time for freedom
Time to face what we all believe in
Time is passing by

Make Hay While Sun Shines
MAKE HAY WHILE SUN SHINES
As hair divides fast living from last groan,
and hare and rarebit hop like time ahead,
both they and Man dark glasses wear, unknown
is future near and far past's story sped.
What funny seems through bunny's glasses spread
from brow to brow now may, tomorrow blown,
reveal dreams' themes found fragile, few postpone
fate's finger, what was written must be read.
Begun in fun, life filters sun; strife, dread,
rubs gilt off fabled gingerbread, strikes stone
clover's four leaves, leaves grieving fallen throne,
with pride's ride set aside, forgotten, fled.
The moral of this simple sonnet's seen:
make hay while sun still shines, seek pastures green.

We Live So Fast
Please dont ask me to stay
Im leaving this town
Dont worry now
Believe me as I believe that
Luck is on my side
The future is mine
If I can find
A way through these strange days of my life
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
The streets deserted and cold
Theyre not paved with gold
But I dont care
For those who think young will still survive
Making their move
Hoping to prove
That they can face
This big city, small world, big time
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen
But now I know their ways
I found my place
Saw their true face
Theres nothing to stay for so Ill go
Ill pick up the phone
Still searching for home
We life so fast
Alone but not lonely I move on
We live so fast
Motion, motion
No time to waste
Use it, use it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Make the first step and reach out for tomorrow
We live so fast
Motion, motion
We cant stand still
Move it, move it
We live so fast
Motion, motion
Move out of my way its time to make it happen

Mississippi
Every step of the way
We walk the line
Your days are numbered
So are mine
Time is piling up
We struggle and we scrape
All boxed in
Nowhere to escape
The city's just a jungle
More games to play
I'm trapped in the heart of it
Trying to get away
I was raised in the country
Been working in the town
I been in trouble since I
Set my suitcase down
I ain't got nothing for you
I had nothing before
Don't even have anything
For myself anymore
Sky's full of fire
And the rain is pouring down
There's nothing you can sell me
So I'll see you around
All my powers of expression
And thoughts so sublime
Could never do you justice
Reason or rhyme
There's only one thing that I did wrong
I stayed in Mississippi a day too long
The devil's in the alley, the mule kickin' in the stall
Say anything you wanna, I've heard it all
I was thinking about the things that you said
I was dreaming I was sleeping in your bed
Walking through the leaves, falling from the trees
Feel like a stranger nobody sees
So many things we never will undo
I know you're sorry, well I'm sorry too
Some people will offer you their hand and some won't
Last night I knew you, tonight I don't
I need something strong to distract my mind
I'm gonna look at you 'til my eyes go blind
Well I got here, following the southern star
I crossed that river just to be where you are
There's only one thing that I did wrong
I stayed in Mississippi a day too long
Well my ship's been split to splinters; it's sinking fast
I'm drowning in the poison, got no future, got no past-acap

Heading The Call
A flash in the night, a journey through time
the Templars are back on the streets
Guarded by prowess and the will to survive
all led by the guiding light
Angels of mercy, guardians of time
Shackled and chained through the eternal flame
the hammer will slowly arise
Heeding The Call, one and for all
never surrender, with glory well fall
Brothers unite, lets stand up and fightfulfilling our fate, we
are Heeding The Call
One step ahead, revealing the past
united, together we stand
The call of the thunder, the sign to begin
this final crusade we will win
Angels of mercy, our journey must proceed
With hearts all filled up with chivalry
the lifeblood that we all need
Heeding The Call, one and for all
never surrender, with glory well fall
Brothers unite, lets stand up and fight
fulfilling our fate, we are Heeding The Call
Oh, oh, oh

fulfilling our fate, we are Heeding The Call

Thoughts for Today
Blue sky thinking grey sky mind
Lost dimensions hard to find
Daytime dreams nightmare nights
Silent prayers and noisy fights
Outside box and inside dealing
Pure of thought or simply stealing
Fast lane sprint or slow lane creeping
Lie awake or waste time sleeping
Life see's changes death see's sorrow
Raise you daylight see's tomorrow
Thoughts surrounded mind let wander
Food for thought with time to ponder
All entrenched in thoughts of all
Strong, the weak, the short, the tall.
No escape but death can alter
From such paths should you so falter.

til Death Do Us Part
When you look into my eyes
Tell me what you see
I dont think you even realize
The pride inside of me
Ive walked my walk, talked my talk
Lived and died in my songs
Temptation cuts so deep
Its fires still burn so strong
You know Ive lived a few mistakes
And I stand by them
Its me, myself, and i
til death do us part
If you want to criticize
Then you cant believe anything you read
What you see is all of me...
Ive talked the talk and walked the walk
Who thought Id live this long?
This lifes been hard
Like a switchblade, blind fate, suicide
And I stand by them
Its me, myself, and i
til death do us part
Sometimes my words may cut too deep
And I step on a toe or two
Well Im half dead and barely half alive
But I live by the truth
til death do us part

An Answer?
An Answer?
Seek not in sect the answer to lost soul
As narrow road leads into narrow mind.
Make most of opportunity to find
A way to join both Search and Way made whole.
None need to feed from need to fire the coal,
To spark the flame which burns the Past behind,
Heed intuitions, harmony, to bind
All pattern parts, let inner knots unwind...

Respite
Seek not for quick relief, few sects console
as narrow road leads to, from, narrow mind,
open tracks which back up tacks to find
respite till Search and Way unite soul's whole.
None need to feed from need to fire fame’s coal,
match flame with aim in game to leave behind
the past, for first IS last, draws double bind.
Reject temptation’s superficial role,
lip-service lending simply to control
disparities that, poles apart, unwind
when tenets tested cannot be combined
with sentiments sustained, coherent goal.
If puzzle pieces of their own accord
can fit, ‘tis writ, - if not, await reward.

[H]our Glass - 1899 - after Richard Seymour - The Hour Glass
Toon's climb, boon's dread, boom's rhyme soon sped,
life's little dream theme tale
dew's wed with glue wed to cue clue thread -
though seeming strong, so frail.
Till naught's in store to add to more,
Time's ebbing sands fall fast;
Fate syphons for_age metaphor,
forgotten mirage past.
Billed for arrears, filled, empty years,
emotions' vain commotion,
birth earthed blame's biers; berthed fame's career's
proverbial dropp in ocean.
With wave goodbye, grave severed tie
hung on some sunbeam stalling
beyond last sigh what stays? Vain cry,
culled empty echo calling.
Love lost, love won with one-to one,
true faithfulness through trust,
find once begun through time have run
to often turn rust dust.
Nor fears, nor tears, resist Time's shears,
nor all we hope and dream
remains, soon unstained mirror clears,
wipes slate of great, small, steam.
As variation on a theme
some karmic call, some mortal,
rum sliver stream glum shivers - gleam
in void, avoid death's portal.
What's life? ‘brief candle', shadow mocked,
from infant's first cry, chortle,
through code adopt to blocks unlock,
to last laugh coda shortfall.
For age or forage
The Hour Glass
Of hours to come and hours long sped
The never-ending tale
Hangs on a slender running thread -
So strong and yet so frail.
The less is added to the more,
The ebbing sands run fast;
Time drains the future's dwindling store
And gives it to the past.
Not all our tears and prayers, alas!
Not all we hope and dream
Shall e'er invert that measured glass
And turn the golden stream.

The creation of the world,
The creation of man,
The creation of woman from man,
But you are storing up wrath for yourselves according to your stubborn and impatient minds! !
Inventers of evil things,
Indignation;
But with persistence patient with the muse of my mind!
And like joy in the land of peace;
Because, the doers of the Law are righteous as compared to those who break the Law! !
I am Asuobonteng from a land far away from you,
But it is time for us to put the world into a better shape than,
The very negative things going on now;
For, we were all created by the Creator for a purpose!
And, we need to take care of the earth than destroying it.
