Slave killers

fated to serve
the master
this life
and the next
black america
should cry
gratitude
to the great god
in this case
in the darkest of Borneo
as the crickets shrill
you still see
large carved wooden poles
totem poles
with devil faces
looming over the trees
darkened by
a century of rain,
slavery tears
and as you delve
look into the crevices
carved from hundred year old tree
shrill of the crickets
croak of toads, amphibians
pale in comparison
to cry amplified in your ear
a lord's death
always accompanied
by a slave
emaciated, drenched away
in the sweltering
tropical heat
in a chamber just below
taking the greatest
blow from master
that but now was
still as a log
but yet powerful as lord
slowly, and slowly
he succumbed
to a death
befitting of slaves
the worms
from the upper chamber
swarmed all over
to claim him
carry him away
to serve
the lord
slowly
he slipped away
giving up on life
and death
taking whatever would come
this life
next life
succumbing
to what he thought
is god's will

Slowly Gone

The rose
Slowly droops

It's petals
Falling to the ground

Slowly turning black
Slowly dying

Every moment
The rose was alive

Fades into
Nothingness

Everything it
Was

Gone

Life is cruel
Death is easier

Even if you
Made it as

Far as you could
Death would

Eventually
Claim you

And you would be
Simply

Gone

A Vicious Cycle

Taking life and feeding death
a broken path, a fork in the road.
Screaming, beating, defeating,
not making any sense but still vital to life and death.
Whispering cruel thoughts, stealing breath
voicing once hidden intentions.
Taking life and feeding death.

Gentle heat, steadfast heart
killing death to take a chance on life every fourth.
Fighting, winning and losing,
not making any sense but still vital to life and death.
Encouraging and coaxing, giving life
pushing back the darkness until its turn to submit.
Taking death and making life.

Whipped around, a vicious cycle
full of life and death, each vital to survival.
Giving up, making a new start, taking a chance on something new
Still making no sense at all, but perhaps it's not ment to.
Degrading, crushing, Encouraging, freeing
Compromise, age, learning to wait.
Life and death, each vital to survival.

From Death

The great heat of a man in the holes where they perish
Is the world for him, when hot dealings from death.

A man shall cry from the heat when in the deepest ways,
The depths speak loudly of heat and arisings from death.

One murderer is not like a foolish man but the worst,
The heat of the sun can not master his bearings from death.

A grave has become attached to his soul, accepted by him,
And then fright shall be accepted from an angel of the buildings of death.

Then all of humanity congratulates the life of the good standard,
When the Lord spoke loudly of us who are doers of blessings from death.

The reality has been announced by the deepest parts of the Hereafter,
Life and annihilation are opposites, the real dead shall have briefings from death.

Open the gates of this Paradise, where honey has been sold
In rivers, milk has flowed out clearly with coatings from the Death.

Gotta Serve Somebody

You may be an ambassador to england or france,
You may like to gamble, you might like to dance,
You may be the heavyweight champion of the world,
You may be a socialite with a long string of pearls
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
You might be a rock n roll addict prancing on the stage,
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage,
You may be a business man or some high degree thief,
They may call you doctor or they may call you chief
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a state trooper, you might be a young turk,
You may be the head of some big tv network,
You may be rich or poor, you may be blind or lame,
You may be living in another country under another name
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a construction worker working on a home,
You may be living in a mansion or you might live in a dome,
You might own guns and you might even own tanks,
You might be somebodys landlord, you might even own banks
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
You may be a preacher with your spiritual pride,
You may be a city councilman taking bribes on the side,
You may be workin in a barbershop, you may know how to cut hair,
You may be somebodys mistress, may be somebodys heir
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
Might like to wear cotton, might like to wear silk,
Might like to drink whiskey, might like to drink milk,
You might like to eat caviar, you might like to eat bread,
You may be sleeping on the floor, sleeping in a king-sized bed
But youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.
You may call me terry, you may call me timmy,
You may call me bobby, you may call me zimmy,
You may call me r.j., you may call me ray,
You may call me anything but no matter what you say
Youre gonna have to serve somebody, yes indeed
Youre gonna have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the lord
But youre gonna have to serve somebody.

A Song Of Spring

The Spring comes slowly up this way,
Slowly, slowly,
Under a snood of hodden grey.

The black and white for her array,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where is her green that was so gay?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Unto a world too sick for May,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

Where are the lads that used to play?
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

She has no heart for holiday,
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up this way.

The trees are out in Heaven they say.
Slowly, slowly,
The Spring comes slowly up our way.

Resurrection

Now the golden daffodil
Lifts from earth his shining head
That was lately frozen still
In the gardens of the dead.

Sing to the Lord a new song!
Roundelays and virelays,
Who hath slain Death and is young
Master of your holidays.

Now from places underground
Gold and purple folk will go
Haled by the shrill trumpet sound
From their wormy beds below.

Now the stone is from the tomb!
Now 'tis Easter and the morn!
Christ the Lord of Life is come,
Hath slain Death, and Life is born.

Christ the Lord of Life new-risen,
Calls the sleepers that they rise--
From the unnumbered graves, break prison,
Follow Him to Paradise.

Who be then these shining ones
Dancing with a heavenly mirth,
The King's daughters, the King's sons,
Fairer than the folk of earth?

Graves are busier than a hive
The wind blows, the sun is warm;
Now the dead are come alive--
Loosed is many a golden swarm.

Sing to the Lord a new song!
The Sun's risen in our East;
Christ the Lord of Life is young.
And the young sit to the feast.

Freedom To Serve

Become God’s servant to be free, when you go through Calvary,
The only place on earth indeed, when as a servant you are freed;
Freed through the Blood of Christ, from the bondage of this life,
A Freedom only known to man, through God’s Redemptive Plan.

God bought us out of slavery, with precious Blood from Calvary,
Purchased from the market of sin; granting freedom deep within,
Freedom by us that wasn’t sought, which the Lord for us bought,
Offering His Son, our Lord Jesus, as payment made for all of us.

When we’re freed, we’re then sent, by our Lord, as God’s servant,
Here in service to the Son of God, on this earth that we now trod,
No longer slaves in bondage to sin, we delight in service for Him,
Now as we serve the King of kings, our new freedom in Him rings.

We’re now free to serve our Lord, as Christ’s Body, in one accord,
Now serving with the mind of Christ, for God gave us all New Life,
Eternal Life, which we don’t deserve, which is why we gladly serve,
By God’s Grace, with freedom, as God’s servants in His Kingdom.

All because God paid that price, when His Son became a sacrifice,
Christ, Who had no reason to die, served as a Lamb, for you and I,
To grant us real freedom my friend, that from The Lord has no end,
As we come to The Lord Jesus, to serve eternally in God’s Service.

Victim to persecution

Then you talk a little more about your dreams,
How it involves your thought of rings,
a little more about your needs,
for i bit my tounge,
just for a feed,
for you drag me in the street,
ask me to forgive your mistakes,
put me in misery from your plea,
as i buckle from my knees,

It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,
but what was it like?
It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,

It's perjury on your arm,
that was put there by your soul,
your feeling sorry, for not achieving your goals,
tacking in your argument,
as you stated with your thought,
you bring me down,
and destroy my heart,

It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,
but what was it like?
It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,

Asking which way is out,
Asking which was not as hard,
Misdirected in your final mount,
as you shout,
cry your lungs out to stay afloat,
yet push me under,
strain to be felt,
pushing me down, holding my throat,
I started to feel the black,
and evil you call your safety boat,

It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,
but what was it like?
It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,

toss in the rope, pull it tight,
you might be something,
but what was it like?
examining it close,
you cross your path,
just get it right,
asking for the sight,
to see your destination,
falling victim,
to persecution,
put on a trial,
to discover if your human,
for your life,
failing to corruption,
of your mind,
sorry about how you felt,
but do you know yourself?

It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes,
but what was it like?
It's slowly you drain my life,
It's slowly your evil consumes! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Lord May I Come?

Life and night are falling from me,
Death and day are opening on me,
Wherever my footsteps come and go,
Life is a stony way of woe.
Lord, have I long to go?

Hallow hearts are ever near me,
Soulless eyes have ceased to cheer me:
Lord may I come to thee?

Life and youth and summer weather
To my heart no joy can gather.
Lord, lift me from life’s stony way!
Loved eyes long closed in death watch for me:
Holy death is waiting for me –
Lord, may I come to-day?

My outward life feels sad and still
Like lilies in a frozen rill;
I am gazing upwards to the sun,
Lord, Lord, remembering my lost one.
O Lord, remember me!

How is it in the unknown land?
Do the dead wander hand in hand?
God, give me trust in thee.

Do we clasp dead hands and quiver
With an endless joy for ever?
Do tall white angels gaze and wend
Along the banks where lilies bend?
Lord, we know not how this may be:
Good Lord we put our faith in thee –
O God, remember me.

Savior

Save me from myself, Lord;
Save me from my need
To always run my life, Lord,
To control my every deed.
Save me from my pride, Lord,
My focus on just me;
Help me learn to serve, Lord;
Show me how to be.
Save me from the world, Lord,
When tempting things entice;
Remind me of eternity
With You, in paradise.
I give my life to you, Lord
My every need you fill;
I'm resting in my faith, Lord;
You saved me, and you always will.

All I Can Do Is Write About It

(allen collins -- ronnie vanzant)
Well this life that Ive lead has took me everywhere
There aint no place I aint never gone
But its kind of like the saying that you heard so many times
Well there just aint no plae like home
Did you ever see a she-gator protect her young
Or a fish in a river swimming free
Did you ever see the beauty of the hills of carolina
Or the sweetness of the grass in tennessee
And lord I cant make any changes
All I can do is write em in a song
I can see the concrete slowly creepin
Lord take me and mine before that comes
Do you like to see a mountain stream a-flowin
Do you like to see a youngun with his dog
Did you ever stop to think about, well, the air your breathin
Well you better listen to my song
And lord I cant make any changes
All I can do is write em in a song
I can see the concrete slowly creepin
Lord take me and mine before that comes
Im not tryin to put down no big cities
But the things they write about us is just a bore
Well you can take a boy out of ol dixieland
But youll never take ol dixie from a boy
And lord I cant make any changes
All I can do is write em in a song
I can see the concrete slowly creepin
Lord take me and mine before that comes
cause I can see the concrete slowly creepin
Lord take me and mine before that comes

The Recommendation

These houres, and that which hovers o’re my End,
Into thy hands, and hart, lord, I commend.

Take Both to Thine Account, that I and mine
In that Hour, and in these, may be all thine.

That as I dedicate my devoutest Breath
To make a kind of Life for my lord’s Death,

So from his living, and life-giving Death,
My dying Life may draw a new, and never fleeting Breath.

Master, Or Slave?

All men were created to be free
But some have chosen another way
Life choices were made into slavery
That ebbed their humanity away.

A man is a slave to what mastered him,
Alcohol, drugs, gambling and such.
Greed, pleasure, and every evil whim
Yes, the tendrils of Sin can grip so much.

Man takes the drugs in his own hand
And with his own mouth, he will then swallow.
Man takes the guns, pulls the triggers and then
Does the killing, the murders he sows.

Man, he created those nuclear weapons
Surely for the purposes of making war
For Hatred and Strife has mastered him on
And his Sin has gone so very, very far.

Though Man was given all dominion
Over the Earth and all living things
He has managed to reap sheer destruction
And the Cause and Effect now is coming.

Poverty and famine are man-made
Through corruption, neglect, and pollution
The Earth has succumbed and its womb forbade
The harvest of food for our consumption.

Pride is the other master that holds
Man will never acknowledge his need
For the only God Whose power can mold
Man back to his image, a master...His Seed.

'When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at the time...Those things result in death! '
Romans 6: 21

'For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.'
Romans 6: 23

Near Death Experience

Old age can dim Man's weary eyes
And slow the legs of youth
And when we stand, we're mouthing sighs,
Acknowledging the truth...

And so it was, while in my chair,
I slipped off into sleep,
Yet at that moment not aware
That Death, close by, would creep...

Then suddenly, Death grabbed my hand
And stole my soul away...
At first, I couldn't understand,
Yet I was quick to pray!

'Save me, oh, Lord, if not my time!
Deliver me from Death!
I know that I'm not in my prime,
But I deserve each breath! '

The Lord appeared and Death stood still,
To learn what must be done,
What must occur to serve God's will
He'd learn from Christ, God's Son!

'We'll is he mine or not this day?
Has God bestowed His grace?
Is he to leave? Is he to stay?
Tell me what's taking place...'

Christ looked at Death, said not one word,
But Death soon understood...
Though not the choice that he preferred,
He left me as he should...

With open arms, Christ stood and smiled,
'I'll grant you one more year! '
Then all at once, now reconciled,
I saw Him disappear...

Thus I returned to mortal frame,
To kneel beside the chair...
To call upon the Saviour's Name
In earnest, fervent prayer!

The Holy Spirit blessed my soul
With all Christ's truths to preach,
As long as I gave Him control
And humbly chose to teach...

My story's shared on TV shows,
On Radio as well...
In just six months, my life will close,
It's Heaven, then, not Hell...

Thank you Lord

For giving me another year to celebrate life
For giving me wonderful PH friends
For all their encouraging comments
For sharing me their thoughts.
Thank you, Lord! !

I am just a simple person with simple dreams
But they made me special through out the year
They mean so much to me
How I wish I can give back the favors to them,
Thank you, Lord

On this very special day, my birthday
I thank you for taking care of me
For giving me hope when I was lost
For always reminding me that You Love me..

What a life

life is all about
dying
suffering
taking chances
life is so painful
we take humiliation from our own people
we get killed by our master
we get destroyed by the devil
criminality is taking over the world
oh why
when they around we have no chose but run
we scream for help
it seem no one is listening
they are hunting us down 1 by 1
oh life
what else to do
we run, they hunt us
we stay, we die
we hid, we suffer
what else to do
oh what a life
we staying strong
but the strength we have is washing away
what a life
what a life
our tears, wont make it stronger
our words, will send us to hell
what a life
life met to be a journey
not a kill zone
what a life

Death, Inevitable Death

Death, inevitable Death.
So now You come to show Your world,
Hence the blackened cloak – unfurled.
And peering down upon my form
– Bereft of pity – Your eyes of storm.

Death, inexorable Death.
‘When? ’ The only question out of Thee.
My dream retorts 'But ne’er for me! ’
But now awake, I bid you so –
My giving tears cry ‘Where to go? ’

Death, adamant Death.
You cast Your spell and guide me 'way,
For life and I have had our day.
And what of me? I prey You, tell!
Be glorious in Heaven or gnarled in Hell?

Death, ineluctable Death.
Oh wiry ghoul, I'm here to follow –
I leave my body grey and shallow.
‘Come! ’ You bid in thund’ring tones,
‘Beg farewell to shattered bones.’

Disingenuousness

Here lies another box for nature,
Carbon ready;
Black to eyes down here,
Where death is at its job.

Up there you’ll hear a rhythmic sob
Or two from living yet-to-dies –
A humming lacrimoso –
It all but cleans the eyes:

Forget it –
The dismal show of grief –
Life is only chemistry –
Our stay is only brief.
It’s we who hype it up!

Diaphragms jerk again;
The jet monotone of hearses
Feeds the disingenuousness
Of undertakers –
They seem to stare at something up ahead –
For them, it’s in the blood,
To taxi off the dead.

Mihai Eminescu

Solitude [Singurătate]

With the curtains pulled together
At my table made of wood
Near the fire burning slowly
I am in a thinking mood.

Through my mind are swiftly passing
Many thoughts that it recalls,
Chirping like a group of crickets
Among black and ancient walls.

In the soul then they are falling,
Breaking less and sometimes more,
As the burning wax is dripping
On the church's marble floor.

In the chamber, at the corners
Spider webs hang all around,
While the mice are slowly sneaking
On the shelves and on the ground.

In this peace reigning all over
I am casting bitter looks
When I hear the mice are crunching
The hard covers of my books.

Oh, how many times I wanted
To reject the lyre's call,
To forget my desolation
And my rhymes once and for all.

But then come the mice and crickets,
Walking slowly all the time,
Bringing back my gloomy feeling,
Which becomes again a rhyme.

Sometimes... but not very often...
When the lamp burns and I rest,
Suddenly, I hear the door knob
And my heart leaps from my chest.

It is her and in a moment
All my desert house looks right
And my dusky life is lighted
By her icon in the night.

I'm upset that time still passes
And at such a hurried pace,
When I'm talking to my darling
Hand in hand and face to face.

Ride on, Lord, ride on

Ride on, Lord, ride on
Your final battle is to be won.

Ride on, Lord, ride, ride
As the crowd 'Hosannas' cried.

Ride on, Lord, ride, ride
To Golgotha to be crucified.

Take the cross, Lord, take
Please take it up for our sake.

Climb the hill, Lord climb
For now is the appointed time.

Lay down Your life, Lord, lay
For only You the price can pay.

Go into death, Lord, go
So we God's forgiveness may know.

Rise again, Lord, rise again
So that we eternal life may gain.

It is finished, Lord, finished
Our salvation has been accomplished.

Well done, Lord, well done
The victory has now been won.

Come again, Lord, come
And take us to our heavenly home.
