Morning glories
morning glories
in slight breeze
young girls in
their shy years
try day by day
to smile to sweetheart
through their smitten hearts
a field of morning glories
dance in silence
subdued dance
in the morning quiet

Save A Prayer ('Til The Morning After)
You saw me standing by the wall,
Corner of a main street
And the lights are flashing on your window sill
All alone ain't much fun,
So you're looking for the thrill
And you know just what it takes and where to go
Don't save a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
No, don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
Feel the breeze deep on the inside,
Look you down into the well
If you can, you'll see the world in all his fire
Take a chance
(Like all dreamers can't find another way)
You don't have to dream it all, just live a day
Don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
No, don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
Save it 'til the morning after,
Save it till the morning after
Pretty looking road,
try to hold the rising floods that fill my skin
Don't ask me why I'll keep my promise,
I'll melt the ice
And you wanted to dance so I asked you to dance
But fear is in your soul
Some people call it a one night stand
But we can call it paradise
Don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
No, don't say a prayer for me now,
Save it 'til the morning after
Save it 'til the morning after
Save it 'til the morning after
Save it 'til the morning after
Save it 'til the morning after
Save a prayer 'til the morning after

Let's Dance Together
Let's dance together
In moments concise
Playful is the weather
Darkness all the skies
Dancing fathered beams
Glow to glow on
Freshly aired dreams
To my desire drawn
Let's dance tomorrow
In days like these
Break away all sorrow
With the morning breeze
Feelings that are lonely
Never should be here
Just our pleasures only
With moments everywhere
Let's dance and enjoy
Years are much too few
Don’t let dullness destroy
This is much up to you
Morning comes to give
Every dream of your heart
Yes let’s begin to live
Soon as our dance will start

The voice
Woman whom I loved once,
now you call me, tell me
that you have changed through the years.
Can it really be you, you who were really lovely?
In the picture, that I have in my head
with an angelic smile, big green eyes with brown spots
you look even more pretty than before?
Or is it only in my mind that I still see you
or a nightly dream that you are in
or a apparition walking in my garden
in the early morning fog?
l’Envoi
Thus I stumble forward
as if in a dream, seeing the morning glories opening
and everything looks so much like spring
and the early morning air brings your scent to me
and somehow I know that the voice that I hear
is really yours and sincere.

I paint on a sky
The dawn is breaking its early morn
Here, I m standing on a promise
of a brand new day
for new morning comes.
for the early morning smile,
So then, I paint on a sky.
Your eyes that shine like a golden sun.
I sense the morning glory.
Those cherry blossoms
That I paint on my mind.
As I heard the morning breeze,
That plays inside of me.
The notes and melodies
Were I paint on a sky
Over there beneath the silence
I watched the sea that dance on a wave,
And then I draw a line on sand
A line that connects my soul on wind
There I can dance to the music of my own
There I can paint on a sky.
Every step that I have been through.
I belong to the wind.
To fly higher than the mountain
Fly as free as the bird.
Then, I paint on a sky.
These dreams inside my mind,
These hope that I have been holding on
These love that last for more than time.
I walked on a bridge of the rainbow
I’ll be the sun in the sky.
I’ll be the light in all time
I’ll put back the blue in the sky
And learn to see the beauty that is waiting for
So then, I paint on a sky
All the happiness that brings back in my heart.

Gaiety
The gayest songs of the morning
As the mist hangs over the hills,
For they dance, and they dance, in the Eastern world
While humanity pays its bills.
For the song of the Moonlight Sonata,
And the frost on the snow-white fields,
Oh! they dance, and they dance in the Eastern world,
While the yellow harvest yields.
The gayest songs of the morning
Forever the world goes round,
While the clock ticks by on the mantelpiece.
And the birds in the trees make a sound,
For ever and ever all nature sings,
While the lark up above doth soar on its wings,
And they dance, and they dance in the Eastern world
The gayest songs of they morning.

Father
Father, blessed father,
Its morning again.
I give you, father, myself, father,
Continue your plan.
I know together we can climb mountains in the sky.
No one can stop us when Im standing by your side.
Troubles knocking here again;
Ill tell him jesus has me by his hand.
Hell walk me through.
Father, loving father,
Create in me
A pure love, father, your love, father,
Instill it in me.
I remember the nights Ive cried for you;
Now I only have to die for you;
Thank you, lord, youve made it clear just for me.
I see the light;
Its burning out the night.
Oh, father,
Its morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.

Too Bad About The Butterfly-a ghazal
Martha Graham embroidered arabesques across the canyon.
Surrounding mountains nodded at the mastry of her dance.
Feel vanilla breezes in your heart
while palm fronds whisper an early morning dance.
Try our dresson inside-out. Put on a wig.
Turn cartwheels and invert the dance.
The mermaid on the Tarot card spilled rainbows
on the fish below her as she tried to dance.
Too bad about the butterfly, so intent on pollen
he lost the morning, and the chance to dance.
The poet says your soul will wither
unless you give it leave to dance.
Lit
the room explodes
one massive heartbeat
pumping, pumping
as i dance
you dance
we dance
we all dance with
a drink in our hand
to forget
forget
forgot
but i don't come here
to get drunk
don't come here to drink
because
what good would it do?
the music resonates
deep within my soul
and i dance
you dance
we all dance to feel
lighter
lighter
lit
and the music
the music is so loud
that i can't hear my troubles
so i smile
you smile
we smile
we all smile because
we will remember,
in the morning
this
weightlessness

To Be Young Again
Times goes slow when young
times flies when we get old
playing from morning till dusk
lot of musk and mud
forever to be young again
from skateboards, to bicycles, to palaying war
picking on girls, teasing them to the gills
fishing down the river, making pacts
how to be so young again
from tags to mag
racing cars, to earning scars
winning games, winning hearts
kissing girls and doing swirls of dance
to be so young again
remembering all the fun
now its time to tell the young ones
what it is to be so young

Wednesday Morning Silence
At eleven O’clock in the morning,
I sit experiencing the stillness
of a Wednesday morning silence coming down.
It seems much earlier,
though the day is half done
after a fun filled Tuesday
that lasted long into the night.
I sit experiencing the stillness
and wondering in the silence
after the rain had come down.
The absent drip of raindrops
sounds like time ticking away
in the Wednesday morning silence coming down.
Sitting on my friends deck
as a cooling breeze rustles the leaves
in the silence of the morning
as I wait for everyone to wake
in a Wednesday Morning silence coming down
while I am on holiday.

Heard From The Kindergarten Class Just Across The Road
'good morning ma'am
good morning bird
good morning cat
good morning dog
good morning clouds
good morning sun'
and then they all sing
and dance the
tra-la-la tra-la-la-la
beautiful joyous morning here.

The Dancing Bumble Bee / Bumble Boogie
The Dancing Bumble Bee/
Bumble Bee Boogie
And when the hot winds blow tonight
The dancing bumble bee takes flight
And all the flowers in the field
Prepare their nectar soon to yield
Dance
Dance
Fly
Fly
Behold the dancing bumble bee
And as they gather 'round to see
His rhythm burns like a raging fire
In passion by that sweet desire
Dance
Dance
Fly
Fly
Dance
Dance with me here tonight
I'll make you warm and right
I'll make you warm tonight
Come dance
He danced until the morning came
Until the music's last refrain
And though he knew it soon would end
He only lived to dance again
Dance
Dance
Fly
Dance
Dance with me here tonight
I'll make you warm and right
I'll make you warm tonight
Come dance
Dance
Dance
Fly

In The Early Afternoons Like Morning Glories
In the early afternoons like morning glories
I flourish under the sweetness of your sunny eyes
while in the blaze of your pretty smile my solitude
reaches out to you in a kind of invisible embrace
as if I am always flourishing in your blazing presence
drawing, continually drawing your radiance to me.
Sometimes there is only darkness when your soul
drops to the depths of a kind of sheer depression.
In the early afternoons like morning glories
I flourish under the sweetness of your sunny eyes
see a myriad of butterflies fluttering nearer
that visits me gently like the way I love you
and as the night sets in my life is ever folding,
closing and waiting for the sunshine of your touch.

Morning Dew
(bonnie dobson and tim rose)
Walk me out in the morning dew, my honey.
Please walk me out in the morning dew, sometime.
Cant walk you out in no morning dew. Im sorry, Im sorry.
Cant walk you out in no morning dew.
Thought I heard a young man cryin.
Thought I heard a young man cryin today.
You didnt hear no young man cryin.
You did not hear no young man cryin.
Thought I heard a young girl cryin.
Thought I heard a young girl cryin.
You, you did not hear no young girl cryin.
Im sorry but you know it is [true].
You did not hear no young man cryin.
Now there is no more morning dew.
Now there is no more morning dew.
What theyve been saying all these god-darn years has come true,
I knew it would too.
Now theres no more morning dew.
Now there is no more morning dew, at all, oh.
Now there is no more morning dew.
Because, because, because,
What theyve been saying all these years has come true,
You know, and only you know,
That theres no more morning dew.
Now, now there is no more morning dew.
People, you know that theres no more morning dew.
Because, because,
What theyve been saying all these years has come true,
It had to happen.
You know, that theres no more morning dew.

Morning Morgantown
When morning comes to morgantown
The merchants roll their awnings down
The milktrucks make their morning rounds
In morning, morgantown
Well rise up early, with the sun
To ride the bus while everyone is yawning
And the day is young
In morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Well find a table in the shade
And sip our tea and lemonade
And watch the morning on parade
In morning, morgantown
Ladies in their rainbow fashions
Colored stop and go lights flashing
Well wink at total strangers passing in
Morning, morgantown
Morning morgantown
Buy your dreams a dollar down
Morning any town you name
Mornings just the same
Id like to buy you everything
A wooden bird with painted wings
A window full of colored rings
In morning, morgantown.
But the only thing I have to give
To make you smile, to win you with
Are all the mornings still to live
In morning, morgantown

When Fantasy Is Totally Gone (In Answer To Mandi Engelbrecht)
Many memories still remain with me
of your white house with the wooden windows,
where irises bloom purple in the garden,
with a bottle of St. Anna on the porch,
the fireplace burning cheerfully in winter,
the stars that glitter silver-blue above us,
the branches of the avocado tree slamming
when the wind blows strong up on the mountain,
your deep glance that desires in silence,
the way that you sometimes happily smile
when being together comes to perfection,
when your red lips are soft, hot and hungry,
when we both build a castle brick for brick,
are together in all our future dreams;
where you sing joyfully, paint and write poems,
where every caress is pure and holy,
where there is no goodbye and just hello,
where all the fragile feelings become real,
where morning glories grow exuberant
and we somewhat innocent believe in love
l’Envoi
but this world is full of a own reality,
as a place of cruel hard actuality;
where destiny continually hits on its own,
where I constantly stand totally alone
where dreams flutter away like butterflies,
where morning glories becomes just a weed,
where many thousands of poems come from me,
where in the sounds of silence I bleed.

The only picture that I see
This morning I am waiting
on the light
to start the day
and thinking about something
to say to you
by electronic mail.
I am looking in and out
and seeing things in myself
as if I exist out of my body
and outside the two dogs
are walking up and down
the lawn
as if inspecting new flowers
blooming in the early morning
and they are sniffing
at geraniums and morning glories
which are growing wild.
The two cats are stretching out
on the bark of the fallen tree
ripping their nails into it
and trying to catch
the first rays of the sun
and still my life is empty
while you are away from me
and that’s the only picture that I see.

The Nun in the Schoolyard
The morning
The morning smile
Her smile
The morning light
The light morning
The light step
The heavy steps around
The passers by
Her smile
A light stop
A smile widens
The river
In her eyes
Lights the dark
The lark
'Good morning'
Sings the morning
Passes by
The night
And many a night
Her smile
Passes by
The sweetest
Unforgetable.
