literary scene - Chopsticks, spoons, forks on the lane of my mind
A strange encounter, this person's writing, whom some hail as 'great', I found it to be inadequate. There are so many 'erudite' words strewn all over the place. The feeling is not that they are wrongly used, but that they stand around like they have no business except to point out the fact that the writer wants them to make him look smart. They feel like chopsticks, spoons, forks, chopping boards thrown onto the lanes of my mind. I just wish to tell the man....... your literary journey has hardly even begun.

On My Worth As A Writer
On my worth as a writer I do cast great doubt
Though one could never run out of things to write about
And poetasters are many and poets they are rare
Yet so much to write on of the big World out there
One can say I've written a whole heap of stuff
Yet out of millions of writers few are good enough
To make a success out of the wordsmith trade
So many there are and so few make the grade
Not many writers the literary critics impress
And so few out of writing become a success
For every literary success of which we do read
So many are destined to never succeed
And only a tiny minority do make writing pay
But then such is life as some are known to say.

Edgar Allan Poe
An American literary icon but what caused his death none seem to know
He was more than a man of words the great Edgar Allan Poe
He died when in his forties his best writing years of him ahead
His fame has attained greatness and he is widely read.
Most writers in their forties have scarcely reached their writing prime
His marvellous poem 'The Raven' has not faded out in time
A writer for all ages and one of literary note
And many who love literature have him as their favourite poet.
In life he was quite famous in death greatness he did attain
As an immortal literary gem 'The Raven' does remain
In the English speaking Countries of the World from North to Southern shore
His writings remain popular and his readers now far more
Than he had in his lifetime his genius is living on
Whilst millions of his contemporaries to obscurity have gone
Despite the passing of time his literary legend grow
Though in his too brief life span few him did wish to know.

Great writing is a submission to a creative force that seems to use the writer as an instrument. The writer finds that the words stream out, almost as if someone else were producing them. Writing becomes a process of discovery.

Inadequate
Inadequate.
It means not enough.
Like water in a glass half full
it is insufficient.
Some necessary bit is absent.
Inadequate is deficient.
It is vitamin C
in the diet of someone suffering from scurvy.
Inadequate is precisely what you feel
when you work yourself tired
for something your heart so desired
and in the end disappoint yourself still.
Inadequate is when you lack the will
to even try because somewhere inside
you just know you will fail.
Inadequate is someone when rejected.
Something inadequate is something defective.
Inadequate can mean not deserving company
almost like you're invisible maybe,
too unimportant to like or hate.
This word 'inadequate'
resounds in my head of late.

I Cannot Go Ahead
I CANNOT GO AHEAD
I cannot go ahead-
Today is not the day -
I just don’t have the right feeling in me-
I confess
I make excuses-
Out of the confession and excuses
I try to overcome
By writing these poor lines.
I feel in spite of all I have done
Or tried to do
That I have truly done nothing
And all depends only
On my building my confidence
By writing this would- be- poem now.
And now that I have done it
I not knowing whether it real or not
I feel, wrongly or not,
‘I am beginning to open and flow again’.

Paperback writer
Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?
It's based on a novel by a man named Lear
And I need a job, so I want to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
It's the dirty story of a dirty man
And his clinging wife doesn't understand
His son is working for the Daily Mail
It's a steady job but he wants to be a paperback writer
Paperback writer
Paperback writer
It's a thousand pages, give or take a few
I'll be writing more in a week or two
I can make it longer if you like the style
I can change it round and I want to be a paperback writer

If you really like it you can have the rights
It could make a million for you overnight
If you must return it, you can send it here
But I need a break and I want to be a paperback writer

Im O. K.
Written by dennis deyoung, james young
Lead vocals by dennis deyoung
Hey, hey, hey, hey, eight, skate, seven on the rotate!
If I could stand
Beside myself
Would I see me or maybe someone else
cause its hard to please
Most everyone
When your spirits got you on the run, on the run
They say do your best
But dont cause a fuss
Dont make waves be like the rest of us
But I can feel the tide is turning fast
cause deep inside I know that I cant last
Another day
Not another day!
cause Im o.k.
I finally found the person Ive been searching for
Im alright
Im feeling good about myself and thats for sure
cause I believed them when they said I must do things their way,
They tried to cast me in their mold
But I just had to say,
That Im o.k.
Im o.k. this way yes Im o.k. yes Im ok!
Im o.k.
I finally found the person Ive been searching for (everybody sing now!)
Im alright
Im feeling good about myself and thats for sure (whoo!)
Im o.k.
I finally found the person Ive been searching for (yahoo!)
Im alright
Im feeling good about myself and thats for sure
Im o.k.
Im feeling good about myself and thats for sure
Im alright
Im o.k. this way yes Im ok!

Be Alright
You feel like
What is point of living
After the one you love turn you down
You feel like that person take away
Your smile and you thinking
You never want to love again and also stay single
I know everything going
Be alright
If you realized that person is jerked and
Don't know you are a great person
They are missing a good opportunity to be with you
I believe in you and never give up on yourself
I know you can stand back up on your feet and
Found a sweet and lovely person
You can't keep crying and do this to yourself
You know better than that
Go out there and have fun with your friends
Eat junk foods and go crazy
Just forget the one you love who hurt you
I know everything will
Be alright
God is here to heal our pain
It going take baby step so don't worry
Just focus and don't lose it
I know everything will
Be alright

New Friend (feat. Buccaneer)
Mind my own business, I'm on my journey
And I have enough old friends to keep me company
But you say "hey what's up, you want to hook up?
You wanna hang out with me?
Kick back, relax, feel happy and lazy"
You're sent to me one time
You come to me two times
Why me? three times
Well abracadabra now I've got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
Mind my own business I'm on my journey
I against I on my journey
Happily interrupted extremes are extreme
So with my brand new friend we touch the boundaries
Like a little kitty's whiskers, cautiously
Experimental expressions and downward looks
You come sniff around, I'm not sure what to do
But like a big explosion, magically
Look at me I think I might have found a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend
(Buccaneer rap)
Mind my own business I'm on my journey (push it)
Mind my own business I'm on my journey (push it)
You're sent to me one time
You come to me two times
Why me? three times
Serial monogamy, I got a new friend
Let me introduce you to my new friend whoa
I've got a new friend (6x)
Mind my own business I'm on my journey
And I have enough old friends to keep me company
But you say "hey what's up, you want to hook up?
You wanna hang out with me?
Kick back, relax, feel happy and lazy"
In my head
It's only in my head
In my head
it's only in my head
In my head

You'll Reach The Peak Of That Literary Hill
Who is to say which poetry is best?
How can it possibly be defined?
Which type is superior when put to the test?
All variations are surely entwined.
Strong words written stand the test of time,
Whether in poetry or in a good song,
Some will just flow whereas others will rhyme,
That doesn't mean either is wrong.
You may hate the words or the rhythm of a tune,
The content will still make you think,
Is the writer a genius or perhaps a buffoon?
With either there's always a link.
Some tell a story just like a book,
The written word can play games with your heart,
When you read one line common sense is forsook,
From that poem you don't want to depart.
It will get you talking that much is true,
You'll condemn it or proclaim it is great,
In some cases the reader may well want to sue,
You can guarantee it will open up a debate.
Who are any of us to judge each other?
Yet critics have the power to destroy,
Freedom of speech is what they smother,
Slagging off others they seem to enjoy.
Constructive critique can improve what is written,
Regardless of it being good or bad,
But senseless censure can leave one bitten,
It can even drive some people mad.
If you want to depart from the madness of life,
Then writing can be a great tool,
It can lift you up and rid you of strife,
Enjoying what you create is the rule.
Some of the time you can please them all,
There'll be those you never will,
As long as when writing you're having a ball,
‘' You'll Reach The Peak Of That Literary Hill ‘'
Missing You
The day is the same
Like any other day
A few varied shades
And some varied words
To ponder and say
The sun rose alone
And so did it Set
The moon is rising now
Would be time for Bed
Amidst the sun and the moon
The day and the night
The sameness and the variance
A feeling so consistent
So very deep, so very insistent
Persistent and Incisive
In my heart…
And I express it to you
Like ever before
Yes – the same old feeling
For the same old love
For the very same Beloved
From a lover’s heart…
Telling him,
Writing to him
Expressing herself
In all abundance
These words of love
Flowing in tears
Making their way
Without any fears
Nay – I don’t dread anyone
Pray – Let me say to you
That the whole day through
I’ve been badly as before -
Missing you, Missing you
Missing you, My Love
And would always do
Forever and a day…
From so far away
I can only say
For you to feel…
For once, My Love
Think not with your mind
Feel with your heart
The depth of my feelings
Flowing…
As ever before
And as always
From me to you.
The absence of You
Agonizing me, Tormenting me
On such sultry days
When I feel so lonely
Without You -
Wish you could see
The stars in my eyes
Falling and fragmenting
Like the shooting stars
In the sky.
They say:
The shooting stars
Are lucky.
Make your wishes
As you see them fall
And it all comes true.
I wonder…
The stars in my eyes
Like broken dreams
And scattered hopes
In a thousand pieces
On the glassy slopes
Of ceaseless tears…
Would they be as lucky
To melt your heart
And make you feel
How very much
How very deep
How very often
And how very truly
I mean -
When I say to you,
My Love – that I am
Missing You, Missing You,
Missing You…
And would always do
Forever and a day
In every way…
Much more than I can say.
Nay – don’t use your mind
This is for your heart
To feel for you…
To make you feel
How very much
How very deep
And how very often
I really miss you…
Like the way
I am now writing to you
For the very Fact
That I am now
Truly, deeply, madly
And so very miserably
Missing You…

Mind Your Own Business
Mind Your Own Business
(Words and music by Hank Williams, Sr.)
If the wife and I was fussin', brother that's our right
Me and that ole woman bought a license to fight
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If youmind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
Well, the woman on the party line's a nosey thing
She picks up her receiver when she knows it's my ring
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your own business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Well, I got a little girl that wears her hair up high
The boys all hollar when she walks by
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Just mind your own business, you wont be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
I may tell a lot of stories that may not be true
But I can get to Heaven just as easy as you
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, will you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Mind your business, and you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental with ad libs ---
Now, If I want to honky tonk 'til around two or three
Darlin' that's my headache, don't you worry 'bout me.
Why don't you mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Go on and mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you're mindin' your business, you won't be mindin' mine.
--- Instrumental---
Mindin' other people's business seems to be high-toned
Well, I got all that I can do just to mind my own
Mind your own business(Mind your own business)
Yeah, mind your own business(Mind your own business)
If you mind your businessmyou won't be mindin' mine.
Dear Lord, If you mind your business, you'll be busy all the time...

Speranza's Son
His poems and plays are literary gems his quotes popular today
A genius and a great poet with words he had a way
Incarcerated in Reading Jail he lived at a time
When for a man to love another man was looked on as a crime.
His mother was a great poet Speranza was her name
In the Dublin literary circles of her time she was one who knew fame
She gave to the World Oscar Wilde the truly enlightened one
What woman would not feel proud to give birth to such a son.
His father the antiquarian and gifted writer became famed far and wide
And as an expert on human diseases his worth could not be denied
But nowadays he is better known as Oscar's father the wit and literary great
A legend for the ages and one to celebrate.
The Importance of Being Earnest, The Ballad of Reading Jail
and Lady Windermere's Fan
From the pen of Speranza's son the renowned literary man
And though he died as a pauper in Paris from Dublin far away
Through his humorous quotes and insightful writings his legend lives today.

Uncertainty Is Too Much With Me
UNCERTAINTY IS TOO MUCH WITH ME
Uncertainty is too much with me
And question too much of what I am
Fear is with me so much
And anxiety also
I am not the best example
Of what a pioneer or patriot should be.
I have gotten through it quietly so far
With many blessings given by God
And help from family and friends -
I am a small person really
With great literary ambitions
Never realized-
A kind person when convenient
Not bad not great
Fearing a war and our destruction
Knowing I am not the one to save us
Praying to G-d for help
And knowing G-d does not always answer-
Writing and writing
And trying in my own small way
To help those near me
To do my part for all of us.
A little man in a promised holy land
Praying the Jewish people
Will not know another disaster.

Treasure From A Rubbish Heap
One day I found some treasure in a rubbish heap
that I thought could be a thing worthwhile to keep.
Although at first it didn't seem to be much at all
because of the simple fact that it was quite small.
The more I looked at it the less likely it became
something by which anyone could thereby gain.
It was so covered in dirt that it was hard to discern
just exactly what it was without handling to learn.
Not wishing to disappoint myself or let curiosity go
I picked the object up with a determination to know.
And after wiping the dirt off from it I could then see,
just what the thing was which completely amazed me.
The thought crossed my mind as to why it had been thrown away
along with all the rest of the garbage that was strewn around to lay.
I had a strong suspicion that it may have been discarded by mistake
which sometimes does also happen when people are not fully awake.
Or perhaps when people get so sick and tired of the same old things
by an act of desperation they try to get rid of whatever in life stings;
throwing away certain possessions which over the years have acquired
becoming such burdens in their life to the point of making them tired.
Another perspective is that it may have served its purpose up to that time
and the person possessing it had no further use for it regarding it as grime.
One too many things in a person's life can really get to be too much to bear
and the situation becomes unhealthy for them to continue in that way there.
Whatever the case may have been for it to have ended up here
was now to my advantage which brought me some good cheer.
Something invaluable once deemed lost but since then found again
is what so many people hope for to progress and confidence attain.

Writing To
Writing to feel
Writing to heal
Writing to steal
Writing every emotion..
With such a white background.
It makes no sound
Even as the keys I pound.
Let my words have bite
Let from my words drip out meanings beyond meanings
Its something I try to be constantly be achieving.
Writing to feel
Writing to heal
Writing to steal
I want every heart and mind
Sucked in cause this is my world stage
No sense of the time.
Never to turn the page
Stuck in to a world oh so oh so fine
Writing to feel
Writing to heal
Writing to steal
Listen to her melody, as she sings.
Let chaos reign down from the skies
What will this day really bring?
Will the letter say good bye?
Will it mend everything?
Making everything better.
Destroying all the consequences
That exist in your world.
Welcome to the place I visit daily.
Inspirational maddness,
It attacks, attacks, and attacks.
With perfect sadness
I must let go once more.
And then the words hit the floor
Writing to feel
Writing to heal.
Writing to steal.
Becoming one with my soul.
Fighting for its one and only control.
Its mine, Its mine. Its mine.
In this reality it subsequently is not
A constant questioning of what?
Writing to feel
Writing to heal.
Writing to steal.
With every sound, taste, and light.
The worlds get get oh so oh so bright
Understand that which is not so forthright
This is my night, and day.
So come on join me, please this way.

Living For Love
I’ve lost the will to fight
On this ever faithful night
Where oh so finally
Begins my time of misery
I’ve been sad a lot you say?
That was just sadness of the day
But now depression starts to sit
A blanket of woe begins to knit
As I start to die lonely in this world
Then I think of how my life unfurled
It was a great life of of joy so great
I had no emotion I knew I was gonna break
I should have seen it coming
I really should have known
The voice inside me humming
My very mind was thrown
I was fine I was great
Then 9nth grade started a debate
Inside me whether I should free
My emotion from the chains that I held inside me
I had chained my emotions so I would not get hurt
But I was convinced to let them go and they busted right out of my shirt
I let them be as they were fine for a while
For once in my life I had but a true smile
For I had let them go and I was still happy
My happiness was oh so sappy (^_^)
Then I developed something I never felt before
And with it desire came with a great roar
I felt love and still feel it its strong inside me
I decided to let love join the others and be free
So I let it out nervous as hell
Then I saw it start to dwell
It went after one of my friends and stayed there attached
It started to grow and I knew I was outmatched
I gave in to the love without a strong fight
For I knew love was of the strongest mite
So I listened to love and was happy as ever
Then...bam! Like someone pulled a lever
I was crushed I was destroyed and broken
And because of a few words spoken
I had let myself open knowing thate I’de be hurt
Just like that I was thrown into the dirt
Cast into a new feeling I never have had
Depression..i met you...and i’m not very glad
You are my life now Love and you
And...theres only one thing I can do
To rid myself of this burning feeling
I feel as bad....when I was stealing...
No worse worse than ever before
Depression like love lets out a great roar
Its consumed my mind happiness I know not
For right now, Happiness and joy have already begun to rot
By now they’re gone I know nothing of them anymore
Everyday I wake up and think...my mind is really sore
From all these thoughts swimming around
But every time I look I have only found
The burning love that is still inside me
I cannot rid myself of it you see
It is far to great stronger than my depression
In this poem I write out my confession
I have a feeling that depression is nearly gone
To me this love is like a giant saw
It’s cutting the depression making it weak
So that my love grows until it piques
If my love ever piques then I shall know
That my mind is not aging slow
It’s already growing, every day
Depression used to be a darkened shade of gray
But with every day my love as red
Turned my blackened heart alive from dead
I feel better after writing this poem
For it speaks the truth that I have always known
I live naught for my family or even my friends...
I live for love so it may grow to no end
Love is my life I can see that now...
Here’s to hoping I keep my mouth shut to I don’t get hurt *takes a bow*

The Birth Of A Child
I've been floating around here for quite some time,
They need to release me I've reached my prime,
I'm kicking and punching I will find a way,
In here I'm restricted so I don't want to stay.
Together we've made such a wonderful team,
But my quest for freedom is now so extreme,
Nine months of this is more than devotion,
But suddenly I hear lots of commotion.
What is going on I'm feeling much hotter,
The strange thing is I'm no longer in water,
This feeling is intense I need to get out,
From outside my confinement I hear a shout.
Breathe deeper they're saying you're almost there,
Who are they talking to this just isn't fair,
Just then I see what I think is a light,
The feeling though frightening really does excite.
I'm almost there but I won't be rushed,
The fact is I feel like I'm being crushed,
My lungs are bursting I can't last much longer,
Suddenly the momentum is getting stronger.
At this point I look up and what do I see,
Bright lights and strange beings at last I am free,
There is to-ing and fro-ing as I make lots of noise,
They're saying it's the same with both girls and boys.
At last I can see that person I've heard,
My Mother with whom my life I have shared,
They separate us now but we'll never be apart,
Forever more she'll remain in my heart.
After they've cut my umbilical cord
Together we go to the maternity ward
This feeling of freedom is driving us wild
There's nothing to compare with,
'' The Birth Of A Child ''
To be a writer
They say, when you have nothing to say
Do not say anything
They say when you have nothing good to say
Do not say anything
He is not convinced
He wants to be a writer and to be one he must write
What is in his mind
To be a writer he must write and write and write
Even when there is nothing to write
Even when there is nothing to say even when nobody listens
Even when the word is dead even when there is no sense at all
Even when he gets blind and deaf and mute even when his fingers are cut even when his mind is blank even when his consciousness is lost
Even when you are angry even when you say what is written is nothing
But trash, dung, cadaver, corpse, poo, pee, even when there is nothing
Anymore,
He writes because he is a writer and no one can stop him now.
he is
he is writing
he is writing always
he is writing always whatever that needs to be written
and here you are foolishly reading. thanks to you, audience of one.
