Buddha pined at its Feet for Enlightenment

there is a sacredness
in the mountain
as it reaches up to heaven
humbly carrying spirits
in their last leg in reincarnation realm

they are in the trees
in the stones, in every path
in zero thought meditation
to severe desires, umbilical cord
that attach them to pain, suffering

their endeavour throws
a holy presence
and sits in a spot in your core
you would attribute only
to the Sacred One

the mountain's fresh and minted breath
mersmerises, and seeps
through the physique -
a foretaste of nirvana

the trees are the highest
in reincarnation realm
not a sound as they trumpet
their way up the mountain
carrying the Sacred One
higher than the mountain
its hands and finger all
all ready to embrace him

they pass all his tests -
slash it, chop it, burn it, skin it -
they stay calm and quiet
resigning themselves to fate -
proving that they have renounced
all earthy desires

the bodhi gained enlightenment,
took pity and and shared it with Buddha
as he pined at its feet

Mountain Of Hope

He had climbed the highest mountain this
World had ever known.
He had climbed the highest mountain
On maps it can’t be shown.
It was a mountain of tears, suffering and pain
And no ones life would ever be the same.

Then a second mountain was built
And it was higher than the first.
This mountain was built with the
strongest material known to man.
HOPE! In our hearts and our minds it will stand.

Each time hope is fed, there lies another bed.
And as each bed is filled
The mountain gets higher still.

But it was he who climbed the mountain
Of tears, suffering and pain.
And because of it he took away the shame.

And this mountain came to be.
because CHRIST Made a sacrifice
for you and for me.

And if we was able to put HOPE
Into a color scheme
It would be the most beautiful
Rainbow that you’ve ever seen.

So every time you see a rainbow
Without a beginning and without a end
It’s because hope is building up
And that’s a guarantee my friend.

Zen Creatures

humans think
they are of
a higher realm
when the trees
in their quiet
throw a challenge
as to who
have achieved
higher consciousness
the trees
meditate
all ovr the mountains
a glorious sight
a sacredness
you cannot miss
zen creatures
cared for
staying so still

now they -
self conceited humans
are laughing about how
the trees could be of
a higher realm
when they can be
chopped down at will

yet at their last moment
the trees stand
in all their glory
teaching men zen
taking death
as it comes
as they have taken - life
thinking nothingness

zen creatures
a higher realm
they belong
see how they reach up to god

What Is On The Mountain

What is on the mountain
It is not sugar-cane
It is definitely snake
And not saint.

What is in the life
It is today definitely
And it is good thought
And it is beautiful period
It is only one day today
You are to enjoy.

Stay on the mountain
A minute more
And see and watch
What are there
And how far
You are ready to
Remain there.

Stay on the mountain
A minute more
To dance to laugh
To smile to weep
And to go deeper
And deeper towards
Sea and sky.

What is there in the sky
And it is truth
And truth established
The world
And in the world
There is heaven
Where sea roar
With its fullness.

And fire is there
On the mountain
And that burn up the enemy
With truth with justice
And with light.

Man On The Silver Mountain

I'm a wheel, I'm a wheel
I can roll, I can feel
And you can't stop me turning
Cause I'm the sun, I'm the sun
I can move, I can run
But you'll never stop me burning
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the day, I'm the day
I can show you the way
And look, I'm right beside you
I'm the night, I'm the night
I'm the dark and the light
With eyes that see inside you
Come down with fire
Lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Come down with fire
And lift my spirit higher
Someone's screaming my name
Come and make me holy again
Well, I can help you, you know I can
I'm the man on the silver mountain
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Just look at me and listen
I'm the man, the man, give you my hand
I'm the man on the silver mountain
Come down with fire
And lift your spirit higher
I'm the man on the mountain
The man on the silver mountain
I'm the night, the light
The black and the white
The man on the silver mountain

Who Am I?

(1950) leonard bernstein
Who am i
Who am i
Was it all planned in advance
Or was I just born by chance in july
Who on earth am i
My friends only think of fun
Theyre such a curious a lot
Must I be the only one
Who thinks these mysterious thoughts
Some day Ill die
Will I ever live again
As a mountain lion
Or a rooster, a hen
Or a robin, or a wren, or a fly
Oh, who am i
Do you believe in reincarnation
Do you believe in reincarnation
Were you ever here before
Have you ever had dreams
That you knew were true
Some time before in your life
Have you ever had that experience
So you must question
All the truths that you know
All the love and the life
That you know and say
Who am i
Will I ever live again
As a mountain lion
Or a rooster, a hen
Or a robin, or a wren, or a fly
If Im one of those lives
That have been reincarnated again
And again, and again
Oh, who am i

Take The Water To The Mountain

Take the water to the mountain;
Take the river to the sea.
Let the forest be salvation
Long before it needs to be.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let your body flow upstream.
Let it cascade off your shoulders;
Be the body of your dreams.
Take the water to the mountain;
Let the sun shine on your ground.
You decide your every movement;
Let the water to the land.
Take the water to the mountain;
Cross the great divide of love.
Give to nature all you can give;
Let the mother know your heart.
Take the water to the mountain;
Lets become alive again.
Holy water, holy mountain,
Holy river, holy tree.

~I Choose the Mountain~

The low lands call
I am tempted to answer
They are offering me a free dwelling
Without having to conquer

The massive mountain makes its move
Beckoning me to ascend
A much more difficult path
To get up the slippery bend

I cannot choose both
I have a choice to make
I must be wise
This will determine my fate

I choose, I choose the mountain
With all its stress and strain
Because only by climbing
Can I rise above the plane

I choose the mountain
And I will never stop climbing
I choose the mountain
And I shall forever be ascending

I choose the mountain

Ella Wheeler Wilcox

Attraction

The meadow and the mountain with desire
Gazed on each other, till a fierce unrest
Surged ‘neath the meadow’s seemingly calm breast,
And all the mountain’s fissures ran with fire.

A mighty river rolled between them there.
What could the mountain do but gaze and burn?
What could the meadow do but look and yearn,
And gem its bosom to conceal despair?

Their seething passion agitated space,
Till lo! the lands a sudden earthquake shook,
The river fled: the meadow leaped, and took
The leaning mountain in a close embrace.

Ayoemi Son Of The Mountain

Ayoemi son of the mountain
A close relative to Ogun
A distant blood to Dionysos
Ayoemi son of the fountain
A true brother to Aardema
I pray to be calm
And witness your balm
I have seen your works
A massive gain a severe pain
To be blest for the rest
So sing i the song of Yipala
From my trembling feet
I dance my heart
Sway my mind as i rejoice
With a meek tongue
Your sweet meek clash
Defines your art and act
And mercies through her apex
Ayoemi the highest iroko tree
Make me err not
For your grace towards me
Lives as though my chorus fresh
Ayoemi son of the mountain
I pray you be calm my bossom
For tomorrow we shall discuss

Of Moths And Guitars

River, what do you symbolize- it isn’t
Love that flows through you
Coming down the mountain, leaping
And showing yourself over
The stone, the little things entering you,
Like wedding rings,
Becoming lost into you as you travel
Down and join your other sisters who
Carrying your name in their throats-
River, river coming down the mountain-
The sky reflecting the memory of your
Greenness- Was it the trees who
Cried you, or the very pinnacle of
Stone reaching up to the fanfares who
Coalesced and made you run- soon you
Will be reaching the sleeping village,
And then hurrying further to the sound
Of moths and guitars.

We’ll go to the mountain, you and I

We’ll go to the mountain
that overlooks the sea
climb up one of its peaks
and from high
where it almost
touches the clouds
on Helderberg Mountain view
the dark blue sea,
see trees lined in rows.

I’ll spread a blanket
from where you’ll face
into the breeze
which will play
with your auburn hair
and maybe we’ll catch
some wild doves in the trees
up there
and see them frolic and
count the houses
along the golden shore
and wait for some time
and then some more.

We’ll have a picnic
and eat some roasted chicken
and potato salad
if you want,
and drink some fresh water
from a mountain spring
and have some apple pie
if we brought some along
and later have some champagne
and you’ll be mine
and I will be yours
and when we are done
we will go home again
while we watch the beach,
the ocean and the sky
and down we’ll walk
just you and I.

King Of The Mountain

Come on
Im gonna climb the mountain
Im gonna hit the top
I wanna go where nobodys ever been
Im never gonna stop
Im gonna reign, Im gonna shine
Im gonna beat the ground
Im gonna shoot through the night like a shot gun
Im gonna get on down, I wanna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Listen, dont try to save my soul from destruction
Im never gonna fall
Dont try to give me a piece of the action
Im gonna take it all
All the kings horses, all the kings men
Were gettin crazy again and again
Make up your mind, its time we get goin
Were gonna get on down, were gonna get on down
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain
Yeah, now
Oh, yeah, king of the mountain
Say it, king of the mountain
Im the king of the mountain, Im the king of the mountain, yeah
Im the king of the mountain
And the winner takes it all, lets go, lets go, lets go

Go, Tell It On The Mountain

Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
When I was just a learner
I sought by night and day
To have the good lord help me
To guide me on my way
For I am like a shepherd
My hopes and faith to guard
Each day I find the answer
And love is my reward
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
The shepherds kept their watching
Oer silent flocks by night
When lo! throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light
The shepherds feared and trembled
When high above the earth
Rang out an angels chorus
To hail our saviors birth
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Go, tell it on the mountain
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain
Our jesus christ is born
Our jesus, jesus christ is born
That jesus christ is born
Go and tell, tell it on the mountain
That jesus christ, christ is born

Your shadow is Due to own Opequeness!

Like wheels
you spun round
in wonder
as you spoke
of the mysterious mountain
at the brink of heaven
that stills many waters, sailing over the waves.
And a shining lamp
burned in the midst of you!

Pointing,
he runs to the mountain.

-Hildegard von bingen

He who points at the mountain
and runs,
The master of masters,
The prophet of prophets, Points at the root,
From where all seeds Germinate,
has its roots and grow
downward, from stillness to the
breeze of breath,
Wave of action and reaction, Impulses and thoughts! The veil is fog of own delusion,
look at the image of mountain,
Make your mind as bow,
reasoning as an arrow,
place your soul as arrow head,
aiming at the mountain, Accurate shot guided by
meditation,
Crosses the land of pain and
agony!

Follow him or he will follow you
as your shade,
What you think real is the shade,
Shadow of your opaqueness,
Be transparent cleaning your
heart,
what you think your shade is
that real!

Mountain Woman

They lived together in a dirty old shack
At the edge of the black rocky mountain
And they drank mountain dew and they lived on the food
That they grew at the side of the mountain
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] down the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Mountain woman couldnt read nor write
But she knew good from evil, she know wrong from right
When the government tried to buy her water rights
Her intuition was her only guide
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
They [? ] by the valley
Shes a mountain woman, hes her mountain man
Uneducated but theyre happy
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Were uneducated by were happy
The civil servant used compulsory purchase
To acquire the [? ] for the nation
Theyll dig up the land, theyre gonna make a dam
And build a hydroelectric power station
And now she lives on the 33rd floor
Of a man-made concrete mountain
She got an elevator and refrigerator
And an automobile to run around in
Fast talkin lawyers from the government
Went and beat proud mountain woman down
Hey mountain woman, take your mountain man
They took your land and flood your valley
Spend my life with my mountain woman
Theyre uneducated by theyre happy

Song Of A Mountain Man

I come from Land of bracken hills and green meads fringed by hedges
And I am still a mountain man and rough around the edges
And now I live in Sherbrooke Shire in the Dandenong Ranges
From Bracken hills to gum tree hills the scenery so changes.

I've never cared for city life and I feel only pity
For those who have to live and work in the smoky inner city
Pollution clogs the city skies, the traffic noise and rattle
Down in the smoky concrete World life's like a constant battle.

The mountain man a healthy man the air he breathe is cleaner
And he's living in a Natural World a World that's quiet and greener
He's living in a Natural World his life span ought be longer
The mountain man a healthier man than city man far stronger.

I love the hills the quiet hills, the woods where birds are singing
And every time I leave the hills back to the hills my thoughts go winging
For I don't like the Concrete World the World of man's endeavour
And I'll always be a mountain man a mountain man forever.

Meditation

this physique if you wish to prove
it's another entity is to close your eyes
and start seeing yourself from the lowest down

it immediately becomes a shocker of a realm
as you start from your anus, the intestines,
the armpits, the waxes in the ears
a whole body lying so still its separateness
echoes and reverberates through you

but as you observe more you soon fall
in love with it and cultivate a respect for it
the graphic detail that the physique
points itself out to you

the hair that shows your breed
curling to every iorta of your belief
and ounce of knowledge

your eyelids that without fail
open and lose the windows
of your other self

your luscious nipples, your body
contours that could raise a tidal
wave of desires among humanity

you soon realise that you have
a whole realm to contain and
like a lotus that opens itself every dawn
to a realm of sensual trappings
in its composed, upright and
meditative demeanor, you too can
do the same without being caught
in a tailspin of desires of your immediate other realm
