Like any girl or boy
Playing with a new doll or special toy,
I felt a sudden surge of happiness
I thought no sadness could destroy,
But after this brief interlude
Back came the aching, evil mood -
I felt my faith in goodness cease
And my fickle heart could find no peace.
Why does it always change like this?
We feel our mother's gentle kiss
Inviting us to childish bliss,
But once again it all turns black,
Our old anxieties come back
And we're stretched once more upon the rack! !
Deep in my heart of hearts I guess
We can't rely on happiness,
Our shifting vagaries of mood
Make Optimism seem so crude
And yet the Pessimist's belief
Puts too much emphasis on grief.
The Will is made of sterner stuff,
The Intellect is far more tough,
So learn a bit of Discipline
And let the light of Logic in! !

Mood Swing

Why can i change the way I feel?
Why if I change my emotions, does this scar not heal
Nor this love pass away
It persists and it will not die
I feel as if this world is fey
I feel as if my fate is written all over the sky
So everyone, knows... except me
I'm the only one who can't see
So how can I go from happy to sad?
Depressed to glad
When these feelings stick to my heart like glue
When sometimes.... sometimes all I can think about is you
I'm not sure how to cope with this mood swing
Not sure how to sing
When my song is one of affection
But your answer is one of rejection
So what's with this mood swing
Why can't I tame my feelings for you?
Or is it fake?
Were they feelings or did I just make
Make it all up
What is love when I mood swing
What is happiness when I can mood swing
Why do I base my happiness
On circumstance

(Gift Poem) A Gift Recieved

Sometimes we should accept the gift be given.
For happiness they bring to the giver.
If someone told you take your present back you got for their birthday how would that make you feel.
Not very good I'd say.
Their is a balance.
A yeng and yang so to speak.
The rules bend and sway.
Who is to say what is really wrong or right.
When in the grey area where is the guidance of that light?
Mistakes will and can be made.
The thing I've learn, is you do what feels right in your heart.
Not by some hidden belief in absolute humility.

With A Lesser Chance To Be Evil

Giving 'in' wasn't enough.
I had to give up and walk away,
From all that 'stuff'.
All that teasing 'bling',
I just had to touch...
With a belief I needed,
To sit on a throne as if I were king.

Giving 'in' wasn't enough.
Giving foolishness up I thought would be tough.
But...
When I did my heart felt free.
Renewed I then became everything...
I was meant all along to be.
With less chance to feel evil.
Or romanced wishes I had turf that would never be taxed.
So glad I gave up thoughts like that!

Eat My Bliss

Eat my bliss, suck my kiss. Listen to me as i hiss. like a snake i creep up. I'm someone I'm only hoping you miss. Misperception, misdirection. Quite a pale complexion. Just eat my bliss, suck my kiss. Don't get pissed. No reason to be, don't you see. All is dead as the sea. Theirs no love in this barely beating heart. Pleasure is torn apart. Just eat my bliss, suck my kiss. No i will not reminisce. What was broken can not be fixed and i realize this. Being straight forward hurts you and I'm sorry but that's the end of it. I don't believe in second chances or dances. I'm not pretending, or defending. What was is gone. As the sun met the dawn. So just eat my bliss, suck my kiss. Miss priss, so stuck up with your self righteous bullsh*t. Just get over it. An impossibility, please treat it such. Its not asking much. Life is rough. No I'm not mr. tough guy. I'm just trying get by. So just eat my bliss, suck my kiss. Be honest receive hell for it. A rebel without reason. A false god preaching. A perplexing equation is which there no answer. Eyes blinded, heart stopped
by your beauty and smile.

Your face and your love
I have seen for a while.

Three months to be exact,
I've loved you and cared.

True feelings, heart beating

The best months of my life

Faith and Hope- The true pursuit of happiness!

When stars dim up in the sky
When things seem so hard to try
When raging sea billows roll
When all seems bad and all seems cold
When giving up seems to become your goal
When stale bread is the only meal
When all options fail and there's more with to deal
Faith and Hope can make your wounds heal
Faith is the belief that it would happen
Hope is the feeling that makes it happen
When Hope is lost
It can be found
When all seems gone to the ground
Hope can still germinate this time around
And fill your heart with something special
A special feeling that someday it will get better
And guess what
No true believer has disproved this law
Things will get better when you work hard enough
When the going is tough
Be tougher
When all seems rough
Try harder
Things will get better...
Better someday.
WHen all seems lost
Trust in hope the priceless cost
to pay all the trouble and weary down to nothing
For in hope the homeless get mansions

I need to take a bus, a train
or maybe a jet airplane
to go where I can't see you.
For I can't remain
in this place where I'd see you
every once in a while,
and think about the chance you blew
to walk me down the aisle.

So I won't look back
'cause I'll only come up aching.

So many promises, so many words
that put me on cloud nine
all came crashing down on me
for those words were never mine.
How many girls had you said them to?
