The Power And Triumph Of Faith
Supported by the word,
Though in himself a worm,
The servant of the Lord
Can wondrous acts perform:
Without dismay he boldly treads
Where'er the path of duty leads.
The haughty king in vain,
With fury on his brow,
Believers would constrain
To golden gods to bow:
The furnace could not make them fear,
Because they knew the Lord was near.
As vain was the decree
Which charged them not to pray;
Daniel still bowed his knee,
And worshiped thrice a day:
Trusting in God, he feared not men,
Though threatened with the lion's den.
Secure they might refuse
Compliance with such laws,
For what had they to lose,
When God espoused their cause?
He made the hungry lions crouch,
Nor durst the fire his children touch.
The Lord is still the same,
A mighty shield and tow'r,
And they who trust his name
Are guarded by his pow'r:
He can the rage of lions tame,
And bear them harmless through the flame.
Yet we too often shrink
When trials are in view;
Expecting we must sink,
And never can get through.
But could we once believe indeed,
From all these fears we should be freed.

Daniel was a man,
Daniel was a man of Prayer, he prayed 3 timesa day,
And he trusted in the Lord, and as a servant of God he did obey;
One time there were others jealous, and didn't like him,
These were evil men, who did wrong and lived in sin.
Daniel was a Man of Faith, on God he could rely,
When told not to Pray, His God he couldnt deny;
And then the king was forced, by some evil men,
To send for Daniel, and throw him in the Lions den.
Daniel was a man of Trust, when in the Lions den,
He trusted all would be okay, so then;
He was closed inside there the lions mouths were shut,
And those evil men the lions took and their teeth did cut.
Daniel was a man whose life we need to follow,
As an example of Trust, otherwise ours would be hollow;
We should also learn to keep praying 3 times a day,
And stick to doing what is right, and to God obey.

Sampson's Lion
The lion that on Sampson roared,
And thirsted for his blood;
With honey afterwards was stored,
And furnished him with food.
Believers, as they pace along,
With many lions meet;
But gather sweetness from the strong,
And from the eater, meat.
The lions rage and roar in vain,
For Jesus is their shield;
Their losses prove a certain gain,
Their troubles comfort yield.
The world and Satan join their strength,
To fill their souls with fears;
But crops of joy they reap at length,
From what they sow in tears.
Afflictions make them love the word,
Stir up their hearts to prayer;
And many precious proofs afford,
Of their Redeemer's care.
The lions roar but cannot kill,
Then fear them not, my friends,
They bring us, though against their will,
The honey Jesus sends.

The Interpreter
Mother of Light, and the Gods! Mother of Music, awake!
Silence and speech are at odds; Heaven and Hell are at
stake.
By the Rose and the Cross I conjure; I constrain by the
Snake and the Sword;
I am he that is sworn to endure -Bring us the word of the
Lord!
By the brood of the Bysses of Brightening, whose God was
my sire;
By the Lord of the Flame and Lightning, the King of
the Spirits of Fire;
By the Lord of the Waves and the Waters, the King of the
Hosts of the Sea,
The fairest of all of whose daughters was mother to me;
By the Lord of the Winds and the Breezes, the king of the
Spirits of Air,
In whose bosom the infinite ease is that cradled me there;
By the Lord of the Fields and the Mountains, the King of
the Spirits of Earth
That nurtured my life at his fountains from the hour of my
birth;
By the Wand and the Cup I conjure; by the Dagger and
Disk I constrain;
I am he that is sworn to endure; make thy music again!
I am Lord of the Star and the Seal; I am Lord of the Snake
and the Sword;
Reveal us the riddle, reveal! Bring us the word of the Lord!
As the flame of the sun, as the roar of the sea, as the storm
of the air,
As the quake of the earth -let it soar for a boon, for a bane,
for a snare,
For a lure, for a light, for a kiss, for a rod, for a scourge, for
a sword -
Bring us thy burden of bliss -Bring us the word of the
Lord!

I Trust In You Lord
Whenever I feel alone in this world
I trust in you lord
Whenever I feel no one cares me
I trust in you lord
Whenever I ashamed in front of others
I trust in you lord
Whenever my situations change so bad
I trust in you lord
Whenever my eyes cannot accommodate my tears
I trust in you lord
Whenever I become financially dreadful
I trust in you lord
Whenever I cannot shout like others
I trust in you lord
Whenever people close their eyes towards me
I trust in you lord
Whenever I cannot take any decisions
I trust in you lord
Whenever I feel myself despicable
I trust in you lord
Whenever I know nothing in my hand for tomorrow
I trust in you lord
Whenever I lose my all hope
I trust in you lord
Whenever my dreams aren't come true
I trust in you lord
Whenever I go through failure
I trust in you lord
Whenever my friends become ascendant than me
I trust in you lord
Whenever I feel I can't be in faith any more
I trust in you lord

These men of Faith
These men of Faith, these men of old,
Their lives they lived, they were so bold;
Trusting God, in the face of danger,
But their enemy, shunned them with anger.
We know of one great man, Daniel, was his name,
To Pray at the open window, he always did the same;
Then some jealous men, had him enter lions den,
For his faith in God, and On God he did depend.
Another man was Elijah, who helped so many,
And he had trouble with Jezebel, a life of jealousy;
Also king Ahab, and a wicked and evil king too,
But for their evil doing, they died, oh yes! It's true.
The next great man of Faith, was Enoch,
He lived and spoke only for the Lord God;
He was so very close, he did walk upright,
And God took Him home, he lived by Faith not sight.
One more man of Faith, I need to tell about,
Was Abraham, and to a new home he was sent out;
Also when his son Isaac, was to be offered to the Lord,
But a ram was supplied, his faith shone, it's in His Word.
These men are an example, and we should follow too,
Trust God in the face of Danger, Trust Him thru' and thru';
These men of God trusted and never gave into sin,
Because they loved God so much, He lived within.

Lions
Lions like to eat
and to them meat is meat,
and the difference
between wild beast and man
does not matter at all.
When the Romans fed
Christians to the hungry beasts,
they ate them without
any remorse
and the difference
between Christian and sinner
did not matter at all.
When tourists leave their vehicle
in a animal park,
lions will kill and eat them
without any consideration
to chairman, president or millionaire;
like any natural prey.
Once a angel made lions
play like kittens with Daniel,
but before his enemies
touched the bottom
of the den,
they were broken into pieces.
[Reference=>“22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocence was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.” Daniel 6.22+24

The Servant
here i am LORD, a servant in your hand
please help me LORD, to make me understand.
my heart is crying out to you
with all my aches and pains
will it continue, will i ever be the same.
i feel your presence all around, and i know
that there are angels to be found.
but when i'm feeling lonely
and full of despair, will my angels be there
to wipe away my fears?
we are all your children, and like a child
i have to feel the warmth of your embrace
to look into your eyes, and see your smiling face.
HE SAID: i will always love and protect you
and never turn you away
for you are in my heart, and forever you will stay.
i am the one who gave you life
and there's a journey that you must take.
there are hungry children and many lives are at stake.
but this is a decision- that in your heart you must make.
there will be dangers, and many mountains
that you must climb.
spreading the word of the gospel
and you have'nt got much time.
people are not only hungry for food to eat
or even water to bathe their feet.
they are looking for hope.
and i have chosen you.
will you help me? the choice is up to you.
here i was thinking of myself, and what i was going through.
with so much suffering, i knew what i had to do.
i gathered myself up, and looked up to the sky, and said:
i don't even have part of your strength
but i will surely try, i will spread
your word, and that there is no lie.
here i am LORD, a servant in your hand
and i will spread your word LORD
the only way i can.
your teachings are in my poetry
for you have inspired me
this is how i could spread your word
it's the only way i see.
SO NOW I ASK ALL OF YOU.
IF YOU WAS IN MY SHOES
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

A Beggar's Prayer
Precious Lord;
I have much to ask,
and you have much to do;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I know my place is humble,
and you are the King of Kings;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I'm certain that I am unworthy,
of your mercy and saving grace;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I walk the road that I choose,
and stumble most of the time;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I want to walk your path,
and help others along the way;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I ask for your guidance,
in setting my feet back straight;
But Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for I know not what to do.
I turn to you O Lord,
with open arms and bleeding heart;
Because Lord,
I need your Mighty strength...
for You alone know what to do.

Be Anxious For Nothing
We are to be anxious for nothing, as our Lord knows our very being,
God who gave us our very breath, guides us in the shadow of death,
He, who has guided us in the past, knows the future that’s been cast,
With God there’s no fear or doubt, what all of our trials, are all about.
Believers need to look to God, who leads His own with staff and rod,
A Loving Shepherd, filled with care, guides us out of all dark despair,
With His rod when we tend to stray, into life’s darkness along the way,
Then He loving guides with His staff, when back onto His well lit path.
A planned course that’s well lit for us, when we employ faith and trust,
In God’s Word and become assured, by not man, but Christ our Lord,
For all in The Lord make no mistake, none of His own, He will forsake,
Even when we choose to roam, our Shepherd will see us safely home.
The Lord Himself will bar no cost, to find that one sheep which is lost,
To bring them safely into the fold, where God’s Word they will behold,
The Light and Truth, not of this world, which only true believers herald,
Giving us internal light and peace, that in any darkness, will not cease.
Even when darkness does draw near, with The Lord, we need not fear,
For God imparts to us His Light, which pierces even the darkest night,
And He who formed us from the earth, has provided to us a new birth,
Through His Eternal Son, Jesus Christ, Who promises us, Eternal Life.

The Lions Share
[ music: natalie merchant & dennis drew/words: natalie merchant ]
Can I be unhappy?
Look at what I see: a beast in furs and crowned in luxury.
Hes a wealthy man in the poorest land, a self-appointed king,
And theres no complaining while hes reigning.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
Can I be unhappy?
Listen and agree, no words can shame him or tame him.
The lambs are bare of fleece and cold; the lion has stolen that, Im told.
There must be some creature mighty as you are.
The lambs go hungry (not fair), the biggest portion is the lions share.
There must be some creature mighty as you are, as you are.
Razor claws in velvet paws, you dunce in your guarded home,
til a stronger beast will call on you and pounce upon your throne.
Do we pay? dearly, for the lion takes so greedily
And he knows that what hes taken, it is ours.
Thats how the wealths divided among the lambs and king of the beasts, it is so one-sided.
Until the lamb is king of the beasts we live so one-sided.

Fully Trust In God
Believers today, cannot afford, not to trust entirely in The Lord,
Trusting God with all one's heart, knowing that He won't depart,
Acknowledge Him in all you do; straight paths He gives to you,
Helping you through all your life, while you trust in Jesus Christ.
Trust in God with a reverent fear, knowing that He's always near,
And Wisdom shall guard your life, in a world where trials are rife,
His Light shines upon every road, as you share your heavy load,
All that is a burden in your way, as Christ guides you day to day.
In God's sovereignty, over all, big things to us, to Him are small,
In all your times and everywhere, recognize His providential care,
Obeying Truth that you've heard, knowing Him through His Word,
If you will not forget God's Law, Truth shall help you avoid a fall.
Be not wise in your own eyes, and sin God leads you to despise,
While you shun evil all your days, living by The Lords Holy Ways;
Should by the choice you make, put you on a wrong path to take,
God rebukes you for your selection, don't despise His correction.
Trust not in what you understand, but rely on God's guiding hand,
And the Author of your Salvation, shall guide you in all tribulation,
Fully trusting in our Lord above, to guide you with grace and love,
As God guides you in your life, through The Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 20
The battle belongs to the Lord
They are many and kicking up dust
In the day of trouble my enemy comes
In you alone will I place my trust
For the Lord our Saviour keeps His children
And in this fulfills their desire
In the field of battle the enemy falls
He ran into Gods furious fire
Who shall stand when our King comes forth
Mighty and glorious to fight
The enemy runs but there's nowehere to hide
For He puts ten thousand to flight
So now is the time to bend your knee
And acknowledge the name above names
For the Lord is coming to judge the earth
Not by flood but surely by flames

Today... 'The Arm Of The Lord
Your mighty holy arm has been laid bare
the salvation of the Lord to declare
and all the ends of the earth can now see
the great mercy that God has shown to me.
From the cross the Lord reaches out to man
for it was part of Gods salvation plan
to embrace all the world in His great love
with His arms outstretched in redeeming love.
Strong in battle and mighty is the Lord.
Nations tremble in great fear at His word.
For the Arm of the Lord has been revealed
and to Christ the powers of this world shall yield.
The Arm of the Lord frees from slavery
and has redeemed me from captivity.
It was not too short that it could not save
but reached out to me from beyond the grave.
And Your right arm embraces me in love
stretching from the heavenly throne above.
Underneath is Your everlasting arm
saving me from danger and all harm.
Held securely in the arms of the Lord
and trusting the promises of His Word.
'I'll never let you go', I hear You say
as arm in arm we walk along life's way.
I rest in the embrace of Christ my Lord
secure in the promises of His word.
Knowing that whatever happens to me
underneath the Arms of the Lord shall be.
Nothing is too hard for the Lord to do
only unbelief stops Him blessing you.
Come and feel the affection of His love
as He reaches down from heaven above.

Once More Into the Fire
Once more into the fire, my Lord, once more into the fire
Another one calling to be saved, Lord, what shall I do?
Therefore to offer help I go once more into the fire
Once more into the fire, my Lord, once more into the fire
I can't save her with my own two hands, Lord, what shall I do?
To offer her your strong arms, Lord, once more into the fire
Once more into the fire, my Lord, once more into the fire
What of the others who won't call out, Lord, what shall I do?
Pray for them and call to them, Lord, once more into the fire
One last time into the fire, Lord, once more into the fire
I see You reaching now out to me, Lord, what shall I do?
Take your hand to climb out, Lord, nevermore into the fire

Psalm 102
Hear my cries to You oh Lord
Hide not thy face in the day of my trouble
For my days are consumed in the flames of life
And my works are but wood, hay and stubble
My bones are that of an aged man
And my heart barely beats in my chest
I am gaunt by my trials and my hopelessness
And sleep has fled and left me no rest
I have decided to trust in the Lord
And my enemies all around they deride
They stalk me like lions and seek to devour
Beneath the shadow of His wings I shall hide
Arise oh Lord on the wings of a dove
Come down from your holy place
Hear the cries of your humble servant oh Lord
May I rest in Your mercy and grace

Psalm 34 part 1
God's care of the saints; or, Deliverance by prayer.
Lord, I will bless thee all my days,
Thy praise shall dwell upon my tongue
My soul shall glory in thy grace,
While saints rejoice to hear the song.
Come, magnify the Lord with me,
Come, let us all exalt his name;
I sought th' eternal God, and he
Has not exposed my hope to shame.
I told him all my secret grief,
My secret groaning reached his ears;
He gave my inward pains relief;
And calmed the tumult of my fears.
To him the poor lift up their eyes,
Their faces feel the heav'nly shine;
A beam of mercy from the skies
Fills them with light and joy divine.
His holy angels pitch their tents
Around the men that serve the Lord;
O fear and love him, all his saints,
Taste of his grace, and trust his word.
The wild young lions, pinched with pain
And hunger, roar through all the wood;
But none shall seek the Lord in vain,
Nor want supplies of real good.

Through Difficult Times
As things in life begin to wane, life can fill with hurt and pain,
And one may even slip into fear, as dark times do draw near,
Whether health or just this life, times that wane bring us strife,
Call them trials or even a test; they sure can try the very best.
But, as Believers in The Lord, our hard times are not ignored,
While He remains in control, of our difficulties, big and small,
With this Truth, we bear in mind; The Lord God, is not unkind,
Knowing all that we will face, God grants us sustaining Grace.
Jesus Christ, being fully aware, knows just what we can bear,
And allows no more our way, than we can handle, day to day,
Knowing all, that is to come, and where our trials will be from,
So as The Lord does His part, as Believers we trust His heart.
All’s achieved for God’s Glory, with our trials part of the story,
And as for us, it’s understood, trials are allowed for our good,
Although we don’t understand, just how God moves His hand,
We completely trust all of our life, to God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
All life’s obstacles we can overcome, in the Power of His Son,
Who taking sin’s penalty for all, makes my trials all quite small,
Gaining over sin total Victory, He allots us power from Calvary,
And He guides me in that power, through my very darkest hour.

The Providence of God
Don’t dismiss the providence of God, as He leads with staff and rod,
For those things we can’t comprehend, will work out for us in the end,
Everything works out for our good, as God does what only He could,
In the life of those who believe, blessings from God, they will receive.
Believers don’t sit back and guess, will our Lord God curse or bless?
As Christ takes care of His own, from His Mighty Everlasting Throne,
Or live our lives in fear and dread, for we can rely on The Lord ahead,
Who works out all things in His time, in harmony with His pure design.
Even in those trials that we receive, it may not be just as we perceive,
As The Lord may be attending to, deeper things through me and you,
Things that we need not understand, as God moves His Mighty Hand,
Through those who come to Christ, as our lives, to God, we sacrifice.
God has done what He purposed, and only in Him will we be blessed,
When uncertain times do come, God is where our peace comes from,
Through all the trials that we face, The Lord grants us Amazing Grace,
Placing within our heart a peace, that through all trials does not cease.
God has a Plan that won’t change, and for all eternity what will remain,
Is a New Heaven and New Earth, His places for all those of New Birth,
By The Lord’s Eternal Providence, to be with Christ the Eternal Prince,
Leaving our all trials in the past, to enter a peace that will eternally last.

Trusting, Obeying And Acting
Trusting, obeying and acting for us, are vital needs to follow Jesus,
Trusting God with this very life, as we follow our Lord, Jesus Christ,
Obeying the living Word of God, as Christ leads, with staff and rod,
Acting upon our belief and faith, while guided by His Spirit of Grace.
Trusting the Lord in all that He does, as believers, is essential for us;
We must trust God, day to day, through whatever He brings our way,
While God works out His larger Plan, to reach the heart of each man;
Trusting Christ in all that we do, as God Himself shall see us through.
Obeying God daily, through His Word, He will see that all have heard,
The Glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, as He sows His Truth in our life,
Through obedience to God’s Son, God will use us to reach everyone,
With the Truth of God’s Salvation, as we preach Truth to every nation.
Acting on our Faith for The Lord, The Holy Spirit must not be ignored,
For The Spirit is the Power of God, as we witness on this earthly sod,
Reaching out to the end of the earth, sharing with men a second birth,
Acting on our faith to reach all men, that they too, can be Born Again.
We trust in The Lord over all, Who rules over all men, great and small,
Obeying the One, Who died for us, our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus,
As we act on God’s Word in our life, to be for Christ a living sacrifice,
To bring to every man and nation, the Good News of God’s Salvation.

Bible Stories: Daniel, Bel and the Dragon
When King Astyages died,
Cyrus of Persia became king;
Daniel was his honored companion.
The Babylonians’ idol was Bel;
Each day, they offered twelve bushels of flour,
Forty sheep and fifty gallons of wine;
The king too worshipped Bel;
But Daniel worshipped his own God!
When the King asked Daniel,
‘Why don’t you worship Bel? ’
Daniel answered he didn’t revere
Any man-made idols,
But worshipped the One, living God,
Who’d created heaven and the earth.
The king asked him, “Isn’t Bel’s a living God?
He eats and drinks each day”
But Daniel told him not to be deceived;
The idol was just inner clay,
And outer brass that never ate nor drank.
The angered King ushered the priests,
And ordered them to prove
That Bel ate /drank each day;
If so, Daniel would die for blasphemy;
If not, all of them would be killed;
The priests agreed to prove the same;
There were seventy priests, their wives and children.
The king entered the temple;
The priests asked him to place the food
And wine himself, and shut the door,
And seal it by his signet ring;
The priests didn’t care as below the statue,
They had a secret route through which they went
In and out, devouring the offerings.
When the food had been placed,
Then Daniel sifted ashes all
O’er the temple-floor;
With the help of servants,
in the king’s presence and left;
The door was sealed by the king’s ring.
At night, the priests and others secretly
went in and ate everything;
Next day, the king with Daniel came
And opened the sealed temple door,
But found that the food had vanished!
The king shouted aloud to Bel,
“You’re great and undeceiving God.”
But Daniel laughed and showed the king
The footsteps on the temple’s floor;
The king agreed that it was that of
men, women and children.
The enraged king then seized the priests
They showed the secret route;
They were all put to death;
The king gave Daniel the temple of Bel;
Daniel destroyed both Bel and the temple.
The Babylonians revered a dragon;
The king asked Daniel, “Isn’t this a living God? ”
But Daniel said that he worshipped
Only his one, living God;
If permitted by the king,
He would slay the dragon
by sword or club.
So, Daniel fed the dragon
Cakes containing pitch, fat and hair;
The dragon consumed it all
and burst open dead!
The angered Babylonians
Spread word that the king had turned a Jew;
They demanded that Daniel
Be put into a lion’s den;
Compelled, the king did as they urged.
Daniel was inside the den
For six days with seven lions;
The lions were not fed anything;
They were denied the daily food
Of two human bodies and two sheep.
The prophet Habakkuk was in Judea;
While taking food to the reapers,
God sent an angel to him
And ordered him take dinner to Daniel;
Habakkuk told he had never seen Babylon,
The angel took him by his crown of head
And put him aloft the lion’s den with the food;
The prophet shouted to Daniel
To come and eat the food given by God;
Daniel thanked the Lord for his remembrance.
On seventh day, the king went to the den,
He thought that Daniel would be dead;
To his utter surprise, he was alive;
He took him out and praised
The one living God of Daniel.
He threw into the lion’s den;
All those who plotted against Daniel;
Immediately, they were all killed
And devoured by the hungry lions.
