The Exorcists
Then the apostle wonders wrought,
And healed the sick, in Jesus' name;
The sons of Sceva vainly thought
That they had pow'r to do the fame.
On one possessed they tried their art,
And naming Jesus preached by Paul,
They charged the spirit to depart
Expecting he'd obey their call.
The spirit answered, with a mock,
Jesus I know; and Paul I know;
I must have gone if Paul had spoke;
But who are ye that bid me go?
With fury then the man he filled,
Who on the poor pretenders flew;
Naked and wounded, almost killed,
They fled in all the peoples' view.
Jesus! that name, pronounced by faith,
Is full of wonder-working pow'r;
It conquers Satan, sin and death,
And cheers in trouble's darkest hour.
But they, who are not born again,
Know nothing of it but the sound;
They do but take his name in vain
When most their zeal and pains abound.
Satan their vain attempts derides,
Whether they talk, or pray, or preach;
Long as the love of sin abides,
His pow'r is safe beyond their reach.
But you, believers, may rejoice,
Satan well knows your mighty Friend;
He trembles at your Saviour's voice,
And owns he cannot gain his end.

Guard Your Heart
When times in life do get hard, our heart and mind we must guard,
For trials can and sometimes will, cause one’s heart to not be still,
Moved by what someone might say, we could lean the wrong way,
As the devil attempts to hinder us, from fully trusting Christ Jesus.
Satan does at times use another, Christian Sister and or a Brother,
With a thoughtless word or two, in his attempt to hurt me and you,
So we need to be ever on alert, as all Believers Satan tries to hurt,
To deter the very cause of Christ, in each and every Believer’s life.
The Word of God tells all of us, to guard our heart in Christ Jesus,
Paul’s admonition that we read, which as Believers, we must heed,
As thoughtless words will be said, we can be like our Lord instead,
In the very spirit of our Savior, responding with Christ like behavior.
Of Satan, we all must be aware, as he desires to see tempers flare,
Stirring our emotions deep within, Satan wants us to respond in sin,
And so we need to guard our hearts, against the enemy’s evil darts,
For even the purest heart can be, a target for God’s archest enemy.
Guarding our hearts is truly a must, while in God we place our trust.
Living a life, which truly pleases, God above, through Christ Jesus,
To truly live at peace with all men, when in Christ we are born again,
To be a witness to God’s Salvation, to every man and every nation.

The Believer's Danger, Safety, And Duty
Simon, beware! the Saviour said,
Satan, your subtle foe,
Already has his measures laid
Your soul to overthrow.
He wants to sift you all, as wheat,
And thinks his vict'ry sure;
But I his malice will defeat,
My prayer shall faith secure.
Believers, tremble and rejoice,
Your help and danger view;
This warning has to you a voice,
This promise speaks to you.
Satan beholds, with jealous eye,
Your privilege and joy;
He's always watchful, always nigh,
To tear and to destroy.
But Jesus lives to intercede,
That faith may still prevail,
He will support in time of need,
And Satan's arts shall fail.
Yet, let us not the warning slight,
But watchful still be found;
Though faith cannot be slain in fight,
It may receive a wound.
While Satan watches, dare we sleep?
We must our guard maintain;
But, Lord, do thou the city keep,
Or else we watch in vain.

Jesus Tempted
“The Tempter tempts the Creator –
Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The Lord was just a man like us
But lived a sin-free life on earth.”
The Spirit then took Jesus Christ
Into the desert for some days;
For forty days and forty nights,
He fasted and fervently prayed.
And in that weary state of mind
And body when Christ Jesus lay,
The Tempter Satan came beside
To test the Lord and make Him prey!
Oh, what a time, the Tempter chose
To try to bait the Lord Jesus!
He didn’t spare ev’n the Son of God,
And chose His weakest moment too.
‘Oh, you must be so hungry now!
Why don’t you turn these stones to bread?
Oh, what a suggestion to make
Reminding Christ, His powers divine! ’
The wily Satan thought Jesus
Would succumb to his proposal;
But Jesus knew why Father sent
Him to be born as man on earth.
‘Man does not live by bread alone,
But by each word that God utters, ’
said Jesus to the Tempter and
Got over His first temptation.
Then Satan took Christ up the roof
Of Jerusalem temple high,
And urged Him to jump down at once,
For angels would prevent His hurt!
‘Don’t test thy Lord, ’ the Scripture says,
said Jesus Christ to Satan then.
Satan showed Him the wealth on earth,
Promised Him if He worshipped him.
But Jesus spoke sternly to Him –
‘Thou shalt worship thy Lord alone! ’ –
the scripture says, ‘Oh, don’t you know;
Begone then Satan, ’ and he left.
Then Jesus felt truly hungry;
Angels ministered unto Him.
The Tempter failed deceiving Christ,
And Jesus won full victory.
When Satan can tempt Christ Himself,
All mankind is his soft target;
Temptations come to every man;
Yet, we mustn’t fall a prey to them!
Our faith in God must remain strong;
We ought to stay alert all life;
The Holy Spirit within us
Will help to ward off every strife.

What Power On Earth Changes Saul?
What miracle of transformation
what power on earth in heaven changes
Saul into amazing Apostle Paul?
Saul of Tarsus changed his name, became widely known,
as Apostle Paul, wrote about 25% of New Testament;
devoted next 32 years, witnessing Jesus as the Messiah.
Yes Apostle Paul was martyred;
for his faith in Jesus as Messiah
a man chosen personally by God;
Paul's written words;
are the testimony of a man
that violently persecuted;
as many early Christians
as he could arrest seize execute;
then became a Christian
due to a supernatural spiritual experience;
God assigns Saul a unique transformation Acts 22: 6-11
as Apostle Paul he will preach to gentiles.

A True Blessed Hope
Christ is indeed for us my friend, our true Blessed Hope for the end,
He is our Blessed Hope my friend, in that we will see a brighter end.
This Hope is something we can’t see, that we can know is sure to be.
And this hope is for all who come, to a living faith in God’s Only Son.
In Jesus Christ we’re set apart, through faith in Him at the very start,
We’re set apart when we’re saved, from a world that’s quite depraved.
We’re seated in a Heavenly place, through the work of Saving Grace,
And sealed by The Spirit of God, and protected in this world we trod.
Placed on a much different path, and saved so we don’t suffer wrath.
The Wrath of God is sure to come, but not on men who love The Son.
We’re sealed until our redemption, and my friend there’s no exemption,
Once He comes to live in our heart, Christ my friend will never depart.
The Man of Sin is being held at bay, and he shall be up until that day.
Being held back until that very hour, by The Spirit’s restraining Power.
An hour of trial coming upon men, left on earth following Satan’s plan.
Our light will not in the world, when Satan’s darkened plan is unfurled.
For he will be revealed on the day, when The Holy Spirit is taken away.
And that’s the day my dear friend, Believers shall see the brighter end.
For on that day Christ will descend, to the clouds to meet us my friend.
And every believer will one day see, what for many today is a mystery.
The Blessed Hope brings us Salvation, while all others face tribulation.
Jesus is our Blessed Hope indeed, and all the assurance that we need.
Friend there can be no denial, that we’ll be kept from that hour of trial.
Jesus will keep us from that hour, by His Grace and Sovereign Power.

Bible In Poetry: Gospel Of St. Mark (Chapter 0)
Introduction:
The shortest of the gospels all,
In Testament Anew Bible,
Of Jesus’ miracles, tells well.
Perhaps, the first ever written,
By Jesus’ disciple Mark when
Jesus preached about Heaven.
It starts with Baptist John’s forecast
Of Messiah’s advent (or Christ):
John baptizes the Son of Man,
In river Jordan in his span.
But Jesus came to baptize all
By Holy Spirit, by God’s call.
And Jesus Christ, the ‘Son of Man’,
Is tempted by himself Satan;
Though Jesus Christ is victorious,
Is crucified to death on cross!
‘The Kingdom of Heaven is near;
Repent; have faith; live without fear, ’
Through parables, Jesus teaches,
Of God’s kingdom, He thus preaches.
All afflicted, Jesus heals /cures;
And out from men, demons, He drives;
Makes fishermen, ‘Fishers of men’!
He shows the way for all, Heaven.
In A.D.70, it’s written.

Saul turns Paul: The Road to Damascus
Blinded by a brilliant light,
On the road to Damascus,
Saul of Tarsus, on horse-back
Heard the voice of Jesus Christ:
‘Saul Saul, why persecute me? ’
‘Who are you? ’ Asked Saul at once.
‘I am Jesus Christ and Lord! ’
Saul saw Christ in apparition!
Others saw the light as well,
But couldn’t hear the divine voice!
Hit by the bolt of light from sky,
Saul fell from his horse-back to ground;
The voice bade him enter city,
Where he would be told what to do;
For three days, Saul remained just blind
And did not eat and drink ever!
Ten years’ younger than Jesus Christ,
Saul annihilated Christians
Whenever, wherever, he could;
He never had seen Jesus Christ.
A disciple, Ananias
Had a vision in Damascus;
To go to the house of Judas
And to restore the sight of Saul.
Ananias did as he was bade;
Something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes;
His sight was restored by God’s will
Ananias then baptized him;
He regained strength after eating;
God chose him as His instrument
To spread His name among Gentiles!
Cured by Ananias, he was
Baptized into Christianity;
From Saul of Tarsus, Pharisee,
Was born an Apostle of Christ;
Paul took his newer Latin name,
An ardent Christian, Apostle.
From youth, he knew how to make tents!
His New Testament Epistles
Became a founding voice of faith
And proved that sins can be absolved
Through faith and grace of Jesus Christ!
God forgives any sin of man,
No matter how grave it could be;
Except against Holy Spirit!
Orthodox Hebrew of Tarsus,
Saul journeyed to Damascus,
To seek and arrest Christians there!
Having witnessed Stephen stoned –
The first Christian martyr Saint!
Saul repressed disciples of Christ
At Jerusalem and elsewhere
Arresting and chaining them all,
Forcing them into blasphemy!
He laid siege to the Church!
Paul learnt the Gospel from no man;
It was revealed to him by Christ;
The grace of God had chosen him
To preach the Gospel to Gentiles;
To Paul in trance-like state, God spoke
And sent him on a mission far
To preach the Word to Gentiles all;
To open their eyes from darkness to light
To turn them away from satan;
Receive forgiveness for their sins.
St. Paul wrote epistles in Greek;
He was martyred (beheaded) in Rome.
June’08 – Jun’09 is ‘Year of St.Paul!

Stalking The Earth
Quietly as every Christian walks, that eternal enemy Satan stalks,
He’s Stalking the earth this very hour, seeking those he may devour.
Satan’s like a hungry lion friend, with destruction being his only end.
Satan my friend you know is wise, but he indeed is the father of lies.
He comes to you in a disguise, seeking friend your spiritual demise.
Rebuke him in the Name of Christ, Jesus who died to save your life.
He fills your day with frustration, to take your mind off your salvation,
And why God left you on the earth, and has given you spiritual birth.
Friend Satan wants nothing less, than to make your life an evil mess.
And to take your mind off of Christ, so he can then, destroy your life.
Today he roams earth to deceive, and attack those who do believe.
However, Satan shall not prevail, even though all his powers assail.
Friend, even his largest assault, against Christ will come to naught.
Satan’s in a hopeless situation, as he’s facing eternal condemnation.
And destruction is his only desire, knowing that he faces eternal fire.
But if you belong to Jesus Christ, He my friend will protect your life.
For on the cross He paid the price, as Satan was defeated by Christ,
And in the times that we are tried, in Christ Jesus Believers can abide.
For by Jesus it is said and done, Satan by Christ has been overcome.
And as Satan is destroyed by Christ, Believers will enter Eternal Life.
He will deceive the nations no more, when cast into Hell forevermore.
Cast down into the eternal pit, with the Beast and the False Prophet.
By Christ he will see his demise; forever from Hell his smoke will rise.
Friend, upon the cross of Calvary, Christ made the way to set us free,
Free from Satan, death and sin, to live up in Heaven forever with Him.

He Passed The Test!
When tempting the Lord Jesus Satan said
'Command all these stones to turn into bread.'
'Man shall not live by bread alone, ' Jesus said
'But by the words that come from God instead.'
Then he took Jesus to the temple height
saying 'Throw yourself down, you'll be alright.'
'For His angels will protect you from harm'
'So You have no cause for any alarm.'
Jesus answered him, for He knew what was best,
'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'
Then causing Jesus earths kingdoms to see
'I'll give you these if you bow down to me'
'Away from me Satan', Jesus then said,
'I will worship God and serve Him instead.'
Satan failed in what he attempted
to make Jesus sin when he was tempted.
The Lord withstood temptations greatest test.
Then angels ministered to help Him rest.
He was determined to complete God's plan
to bring eternal salvation to man.
Many doubts and fears come across our way
but with God's help we can still make headway.
By believing what it says in God's Word
and trusting the promises from the Lord.
For I am so often tempted to sin
and I am full of fears and doubts within.
But then back to the cross I can still go
and there God's forgiveness and cleansing know.
A Brand Plucked Out Of The Fire
With Satan, my accuser, near
My spirit trembled when I saw
The Lord in majesty appear,
And heart the language of the law.
In vain I wish'd and strove to hide
The tatter'd, filthy rags I wore;
While my fierce foe insulting cry'd
See what you trusted in before!
Struck dumb, and left without a plea,
I heard my gracious Saviour say,
Know Satan, I this sinner free,
I died to take his sin away.
This is a brand which I, in love,
To save from wrath and sin design!
In vain thy accusations prove;
I answer all, and call him mine.
At his rebuke the tempter fled;
Then he remov'd my filthy dress;
Poor sinner, take this robe, he said,
It is thy Saviour's rightousness.
And see, a crown of life prepar'd!
That I might thus my head adorn;
I thought no shame or suff'ring hard,
But wore for thee a crown of thorn.
O how I heard these gracious words!
They broke and heal'd my heart at once;
Constrained me to become the Lord's,
And all my idol-gods renounce.
Now, Satan, thou hast lost thy aim,
Against this brand thy threats are vain;
JESUS has pluck'd it from the flame,
And who shall put it in again?

God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen
God rest you merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour
Was born upon this day,
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
For Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
In Bethlehem in Jury
This blessed babe was born,
And laid within a manger
Upon this blessed morn;
The which his mother Mary
Nothing did take in scorn.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came,
And unto certain Shepherds
Brought tidings of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
Fear not, then said the Angel,
Let nothing you affright,
This day is born a Saviour
Of virtue, power and might;
So frequently to vanquish all
The friends of Satan quite.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
The Shepherds at those tidings
Rejoiced much in mind,
And left their flocks a feeding
In tempest, storm and wind,
And went to Bethlehem straightway,
This blessed babe to find.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
But when to Bethlehem they came,
Whereas this infant lay,
They found him in a manger
Where oxen feed on hay,
His mother Mary kneeling
Unto the Lord did pray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.
Now to the Lord sing praises,
All you within this place,
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace;
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Jesus Christ our Saviour was born on Christmas day.

Prayer Against The Spirit Of Lust
• Man is a slave to lust. I am the most high child of the Most High
God. I will never be a slave to lust, in the name of Jesus.
• I will not lust after anything, and my God will give me the grace to
do things according to His will, in the name of Jesus.
• I will be moderate in everything that I do, and my God will bring
balance in all things, in the name of Jesus.
• I will not lust after the things of this world but focus on things in
heaven, which are permanent, in the name of Jesus.
• My righteousness and my uprightness will deliver me. I will not be
caught lusting after things, in the name of Jesus.
• I will not lust in my heart to dishonor my body, the temple of the
Holy Spirit, in any way, in the name of Jesus.
• Heavenly Father, purify my thoughts and
let my ways be pleasing to You.
• I bind any spirit that may cause me to lust after things that will not
glorify the name of God in my life, in the name of Jesus.
• I bind any spirit that may cause an intense and excessive craving for
things that do not matter, in the name of Jesus.
• I bind any spirit that may cause an overwhelming desire to do things
that will make me sin against my Father God, in the name of Jesus.
• I come against every strong sexual desire, in the name of Jesus.
• I come against every wrong motive in doing things that may damage
my life, in the name of Jesus.
• I will not regret anything I do, for all of me and my thoughts are in
the hands of the Almighty God, in the name of Jesus.
THE MAGNIFICENT 333 PRAYERS 81
• I know, my Lord God, that You are able, and abundantly able, to
deliver those who trust in You, in the name of Jesus.
• I will not lust after things thereby falling into the trap set by the
enemy for me, in the name of Jesus.
• The grace to focus on things of God, grant it unto me, O Lord, in
the name of Jesus.
• The zeal to do things of God, grant unto me, O Lord, in the name
of Jesus.
• The enthusiasm to hang around people of God, grant unto me, O
Lord, in the name of Jesus.
• Empower me not to lust after anything that does not matter and
that will not glorify Your name, in the name of Jesus.
• Lust is to live unguided to Satan’s strain. This will never be my
portion, in the name of Jesus.
• Forever I am delivered from the Spirit of LUST, in the name of God
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ,
I pray with thanksgiving. Amen.

Beyond Reason (A Metaphysical Poem)
What shall we say in our confusion
If even Buddhism is an illusion,
If Jesus and Satan are hand in glove
And Kali (Destroyer) is full of love?
Shall we believe in Jean-Paul Sartre
Or simply dissolve in helpless laughter
That men could think they can explain
What drove the Prophets half-insane?
The answer to it all, my friend,
Is that our questions have no end,
It's really simple, take my word,
Our lives and deaths are quite Absurd!
And yet, you say, that cannot be,
My spirit TASTES Eternity,
And though it is beyond all reason
And intellect will call it treason,
I still believe He is my Lord
Who banished Harmony with a Sword! !

Salvation
how many Jesus's does it take?
rock n roll Jesus, civil rights Jesus,
sexual Jesus, Baptist Jesus,
Pentecostal snake Jesus...
heroin Jesus, small town family Jesus,
necklace Jesus, tattoo Jesus,
illegal immigrant Jesus...
Jesus on the cross in a drunk tank Jesus,
Marlboro Jesus, county fair Jesus,
pray for Armagadden Jesus...
or just a man,
living one day, one moment,
one bare naked dirty human need
at a time...
with open hands, open heart,
and open mind!

Corinthian Exhortation
Paul had exhorted the Corinthians, to tap the power they had within,
This to live every day of their life, through the Power of Jesus Christ.
He said to watch with extra vigilance, in their world full of decadence,
To watch as they lived their lives, with all eyes fixed on Jesus Christ.
He said, stand fast and persevere, while living new life in Holy Fear,
Leaning on their new found faith, while fully relying on God’s Grace.
To be brave as they live each day, walking boldly in the narrow way,
Following Christ in all of His ways, as they live their life full of praise.
He said be strong in The Spirit of God, being led by His staff and rod,
As they build the character of Christ, within the very being of their life.
And to be loving in all their ways, while continuing their lives of praise,
This through the love of the cross, as they would seek to win the lost.
Also be submissive to one another, always ready to help your brother,
Through the Spirit of Jesus Christ, who gave for all men, his very life.
To greet each other with a holy kiss; today would be somewhat amiss,
But the thought was to warmly greet, each and every brother you meet.
Today in our times, much like theirs, are often filled with worldly cares,
So Friend we too must live our life, with watchful eyes on Jesus Christ.
And we need to listen to Paul’s plea, and take his instruction seriously,
For in The Spirit Paul is talking to, today’s Christians, like me and you.

Wickedness Is Everywhere
His wicked spirit is everywhere, the prince and power of the air,
Born into a system led by him, Satan fills the world with evil sin.
God of the world, on this earth, inciting all born of natural birth,
On this earth, that God created, is a spirit by which He is hated.
God’s Kingdom is not of this world, is what Christ world herald,
Christ’s comes from God above, one filled with peace and love.
Men join His Kingdom from earth. Through Jesus and New Birth,
When in Christ we’re born again, we become to God, His friend.
That dragon is God’s enemy, who wants to destroy you and me,
Aware that he faces eternal fire, our destruction’s his only desire.
Satan’s power deceives the mind, making many spiritually blind,
This while he deceives the heart, wanting all, to from God depart.
God’s Kingdom soon will come, ruled on earth by Christ His Son,
With Satan cast into the abyss, upon earth will be Heaven’s Bliss.
Until then there’s a battle on, but, not against the weak or strong,
It’s against the evil principalities; the darker powers we can’t see.
Man was expelled from Paradise, into a world of darkened strife,
Where Satan sets out to deceive, men and women, just like Eve.
But accept as Savior Jesus Christ, and you’ll receive Eternal Life,
Delivered from this darkened night, into The Lord’s Eternal Light.

God Made A Prophecy Not To Adam But To Eve
God made a prophecy not to Adam and Eve
but to the woman Eve alone Jesus Christ
was born of a virgin woman promised seed
bruising the head of Satan the fallen serpent Genesis 3: 15.
Jesus Christ died to defeat sin the sacrifice himself
to destroy Satan the devil who had power over death
he bruises his head destroys his power his lordship
over mankind defeating the power of Satan for God
'To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness
to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that
they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance
among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me' Acts 26: 18.

How Are You Living?
Friend do you live your daily life, with a heart and mind for Christ?
Living life so Christ’s Light extends, into the world of your friends.
Are you mindful of all you say and do, truly living your life anew?
Forsaking all your former ways, while moving on to brighter days.
And do you live as if you knew, that Jesus travels along with you?
For everywhere you choose to go, Jesus Christ shall surely know.
And where you go, is your action, to fill your fleshly satisfaction?
Or are your choices pleasing to, Jesus Christ, who died for you?
Do you walk in newness of life, as you daily follow Jesus Christ?
Friend, how can I belong to Him, and continue to engage in sin?
We must not grieve The Spirit, by ignoring Truth when we hear it.
We must please the Spirit in all we do, as we live our lives anew.
My friend following Jesus has a cost, if you want to reach the lost.
Jesus himself paid the initial price, now we need to be a sacrifice.
This by living a life forsaking sin, so that unbelievers we can win.
We’re saved by Jesus so we can be; light upon a hill, for all to see.
From the fallen night we’ve come, to be a light for God’s Only Son.
With the dark, light has no place, once you’re saved by His Grace.
Once The Spirit lives in your heart, He my friend will never depart.
Will you quench The Spirit’s fire, listening to Satan an ancient liar?
We are to be separate friend, from a world that stands condemned.
Don’t let the darkness of the world, mar the message that we herald.
There’s no darkness in The One, who God sent as light for everyone.
Friend, it is His Son Jesus Christ, who is to be the beacon of our life.
