The Waiting
I wait and watch: before my eyes
Methinks the night grows thin and gray;
I wait and watch the eastern skies
To see the golden spears uprise
Beneath the oriflamme of day!
Like one whose limbs are bound in trance
I hear the day-sounds swell and grow,
And see across the twilight glance,
Troop after troop, in swift advance,
The shining ones with plumes of snow!
I know the errand of their feet,
I know what mighty work is theirs;
I can but lift up hands unmeet,
The threshing-floors of God to beat,
And speed them with unworthy prayers.
I will not dream in vain despair
The steps of progress wait for me
The puny leverage of a hair
The planet's impulse well may spare,
A drop of dew the tided sea.
The loss, if loss there be, is mine,
And yet not mine if understood;
For one shall grasp and one resign,
One drink life's rue, and one its wine,
And God shall make the balance good.
Oh power to do! Oh baffled will!
Oh prayer and action! ye are one.
Who may not strive, may yet fulfil
The harder task of standing still,
And good but wished with God is done!

I can't wait to watch you get older
I can't wait to meet that first boy that breaks your life
I can't wait till you realize the family you've been born into
I can't wait to watch you turn from good to bad
I can't wait to tell your grandpa made your mommy
play stripper while your uncle watched
I can't wait to tell you I punched your mommy in the chest
In front of her new friends
I can't wait till you realize mommy's heart is broken
I can't wait to watch you grow up around the people who broke it

Why Can't It Just Wait?
Damn the wrinkles
And damn my hide,
I know this old mirror is
Filled with lies-
Why can't it just wait?
The hair gone gray
And rather thin,
The light in my eyes
Grows steadily dim-
Why can't it just wait?
There's things been erased
I can't recall,
Like loves first kiss
And the wild-wonder of it all-
Why can't it just wait?
Like a blizzard it's coming on
With age and wear,
Life's bitter cold wind blowing
Out there-
Why can't it just wait?
That old Reaper
Dark and grim,
I know someday
I will have to greet him-
Why can't it just wait?
One last breath
Sails to Heaven's gate,
Time to go -
It just can't wait.

An Unceasing Tick Tock
Call out to the morning,
Let it raise its curtain on your day.
Watch the golden dawning,
Paint the sky in glorious array.
Smile wide at the sunshine,
Let its warmth change the sky’s greys to blues.
Watch all yellows combine,
In such extraordinary views.
Lift eyes and scan the sky,
Let it wake up your sleepy head.
Watch the clouds floating by,
Where eagles proudly fly, their wings spread.
Pause and breath in the awe,
Let its wonder fill your mind with balm.
Watch all the magic pour,
Filling one with peacefulness and calm.
Move along the hours,
Let them advance by the changing clock.
Watch as times own powers,
Are heard by an unceasing tick-tock.
Wait then for the darkness,
Let it close its curtain on your day.
Watch the twilight progress,
As the night holds the world in its sway.

On My Way
tell everybody im on my way
new friends and new places to see
with blue skies ahead yes im on my way
and theres no where else that id rather be
tell everybody im on my way
and im loving every step i take
with the sun beating down yes im on my way
and i cant keep this smile off my face
cause theres nothing like seeing eachother again
no matter what the distance between
and the stories that we tell will make you smile
oh it really lifts my heart
so tell them all that im on my way
new friends and new places to see
and to sleep under the stars who could ask for more
with the moon keeping watch over me
not the snow not the rain can change my mind
the sun will come out wait and see
and the feeling of the wind in your face can lift your heart
no theres no where i would rather be
cuz im on my way now
well and truly
im on my way now
im on my way now
im on my way now
im on my way now
tell every body im on my way
and i just cant wait to be there
with the blue skies ahead yes im on my way
and nothing but good times to share
so tell eveybody im on my way
and i just cant wait to be home
with the sun beating down yes im on my way
and nothing but good times to show
im on my way

25 Oclock
The urge to take you grows more strong
For time had made me wait too long
Each watch I smash apart
Just adding to my power
Each watch I smash apart
Just bringing near the hour
Of 25 oclock, thats when youre going to be mine
25 oclock, well be together til the end of time
At 25 oclock
The ticking seconds hear them call
My spell of hours will make you fall
Each timer that I break
Will halt the flowing sands
Each timer that I break
Will put you in my hands
At 25 oclock, thats when youre going to be mine
25 oclock, well be together til the end of time
At 25 oclock
Each watch I smash apart
Just adding to my power
Each watch I smash apart
Just bringing near the hour

til the end
til the end of time

Bag and Baggages
O You are mine
And I am not yours
Alas,
Bag and Baggages no more.
To wait and watch
is my work.
I am not alone
for this work.
As you see
there is dark.
The prayer I offered
concealed me.
And I turned to violent.
What is good and
What is bad
You to decide
The Sun never set
Until then mind it.

And I Thank You...
A young soldier takes a deep breath before battle,
Now millions of miles away from the golden plains and the cattle,
Fearing for his life, and another battle loss,
He closes his eyes, and grips tight on his golden cross.
The sergeant yells, and he gets into line,
The troop marches to the battlefield, early morning, about nine,
With sweat running down their faces, and dirt in their hair,
The men look to the sky, and say a silent prayer.
A grenade explodes and the troop scurries on the run,
The young soldier hides in a foxhole, griping onto his gun,
He pops up, but too much smoke he can’t see,
Squinting as hard as he can to find the enemy.
The day is gone, and the young soldier still holds his gun to his shoulder,
Bruised and battered, he feels the night become colder,
As he looks to his left, he wants to break down and cry,
Because he had to watch his best friend get shot, and then he died.
The stale scent of tragedy in the air hovers,
Because this young soldier lost many of his band of brothers,
And now the enemy has fallen back with a retreat,
Because they now know that they have been beat.
You fought for the red, white, and blue,
And for this I greatly thank you,
You fought to allow me to speak my mind freely behind this ballpoint pen,
So once again I thank you, my hero, my dear veteran.

How much I miss you
I miss you like the night's sky misses sunshine
How long shall I have to wait to make you mine?
I miss you like a poor drunkard misses wine
How long shall I have to wait to make you mine?
I miss you like a hungry guy wants to dine
How long shall I have to wait to make you mine?
I miss you like a poem's missing last line
How long shall I have to wait to make you mine?

The Idler
I IDLE stand that I may find employ,
Such as my Master when He comes will give;
I cannot find in mine own work my joy,
But wait, although in waiting I must live;
My body shall not turn which way it will,
But stand till I the appointed road can find,
And journeying so his messages fulfil,
And do at every step the work designed.
Enough for me, still day by day to wait
Till Thou who formest me findest me too a task,
A cripple lying at the rich man’s gate,
Content for the few crumbs I get to ask,
A laborer but in heart, while bound my hands
Hangidly down still waiting thy commands.

Couple Days Off
I like my job and I dont mind the work
But eleven out of twelve is bound to hurt
The pays pretty good and the benefits are fine
But I got a little girl and I wanna make her mine
Dont mind telling you I get a little mad
To get a bit ahead takes all the time I have
Dont misunderstand me
Im not getting soft
All I want is a couple days off
Cant wait for the weekend
Ah baby just cant wait no
I dont need another high song to sing
I dont need a shiny new diamond ring
I dont need to meet nobody else
I just need a little time for myself
cause Im only human, Im no machine
I need a little loving only you know what I mean
Dont misunderstand me
Im not getting soft
All I want is a couple days off
Let me catch my breath
Thank God for the weekend
Back to the old grind
I dont need another long coffee break
Ive had as much coffee as a man can take
I need to change my disposition
Change my point of view
I need time to figure out what I want to do
Believe me when I tell you it gets a little rough
We work a little harder but it never is enough
Im not afraid to say
Im a total loss
All I want is a couple days off
Cant wait for the weekend

I Stand And Watch To Wait...To Rest!
I stand and watch to wait.
I've been told to have patience.
But...
Hesitating in anticipation,
Has never satisfied my curiosity.
And it seems such a waste,
To rely on someone else's opinion...
When this experience of life is mine.
So I am convinced...
If I should wait for another second,
Another minute to pass...
My venture will be delayed!
And 'why' should I let it?
I stand and watch to wait.
I've been told to have patience.
But...
I am no doctor!
And at the price I've paid already...
I am no longer willing,
To trust my fate...
In the faith kept in someone else's statement.
I've given that kind of time before.
No more!
I stand and watch to wait...
To rest!
And catch my breath I do,
Before I move.

A boy And Watchmaker
This watch my father did on me bestow,
A golden one it is, but 'twill not go,
Unless it be at an uncertainty:
But as good none as one to tell a lie.
When 'tis high day my hand will stand at nine;
I think there's no man's watch so bad as mine.
Sometimes 'tis sullen, 'twill not go at all,
And yet 'twas never broke nor had a fall.
Watchmaker.
Your watch, though it be good, through want of skill
May fail to do according to your will.
Suppose the balance, wheels, and springs be good,
And all things else, unless you understood
To manage it, as watches ought to be,
Your watch will still be at uncertainty.
Come, tell me, do you keep it from the dust,
Yea, wind it also duly up you must?
Take heed, too, that you do not strain the spring;
You must be circumspect in every thing,
Or else your watch, were it as good again,
Would not with time and tide you entertain.
Comparison.
This boy an emblem is of a convert,
His watch of the work of grace within his heart,
The watchmaker is Jesus Christ our Lord,
His counsel, the directions of his Word;
Then convert, if thy heart be out of frame,
Of this watchmaker learn to mend the same.
Do not lay ope' thy heart to worldly dust,
Nor let thy graces over-grow with rust,
Be oft' renewed in the' spirit of thy mind,
Or else uncertain thou thy watch wilt find.

Think
Wait wait wait
You never wanna wait
Wait wait wait
Slow down
Stop and think
Think think think
You never wanna think
Cause everything
Could it be a dream
Another bad dream
So I drink, drink, drink
I'm putting down the drink
Cause I can't feel a thing
Cause every time you say goodbye
I've seen that look a thousand times
There's no more room left inside
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
Fear fear fear
Just don't be afraid
Afraid afraid afraid
Watch the tube and waste
Waste waste away the days
Flush it down the drain
Cause every time you say goodbye
I've seen that look a thousand times
There's no more room left inside
And every time you say good night
I love to watch you close your eyes
There's no more pain left inside
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
Hate hate hate
You always gotta hate
Cause every time you say goodbye
I've seen that look a thousand times
There's no more room left inside
And every time you say good night
I love to watch you close your eyes
There's no more pain left inside
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright
It's gonna be alright

If I Should Fall Behind
We said wed walk together baby come what may
That come the twilight should we lose our way
If as were walkin a hand should slip free
Ill wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me
We swore wed travel darlin side by side
Wed help each other stay in stride
But each lovers steps fall so differently
But Ill wait for you
And if I should fall behind
Wait for me
Now everyone dreams of a love lasting and true
But you and I know what this world can do
So lets make our steps clear that the other may see
And Ill wait for you
If I should fall behind
Wait for me
Now theres a beautiful river in the valley ahead
There neath the oaks bough soon we will be wed
Should we lose each other in the shadow of the evening trees
Ill wait for you
And should I fall behind
Wait for me
Darlin Ill wait for you
Should I fall behind
Wait for me

Last Words
A dreadful darkness closes in
On my bewildered mind;
O let me suffer and not sin,
Be tortured yet resigned.
Through all this world of whelming mist
Still let me look to Thee,
And give me courage to resist
The Tempter till he flee.
Weary I am -- O give me strength
And leave me not to faint;
Say Thou wilt comfort me at length
And pity my complaint.
I've begged to serve Thee heart and soul,
To sacrifice to Thee
No niggard portion, but the whole
Of my identity.
I hoped amid the brave and strong
My portioned task might lie,
To toil amid the labouring throng
With purpose pure and high.
But Thou hast fixed another part,
And Thou hast fixed it well;
I said so with my breaking heart
When first the anguish fell.
For Thou hast taken my delight
And hope of life away,
And bid me watch the painful night
And wait the weary day.
The hope and the delight were Thine;
I bless Thee for their loan;
I gave Thee while I deemed them mine
Too little thanks, I own.
Shall I with joy Thy blessings share
And not endure their loss?
Or hope the martyr's crown to wear
And cast away the cross?
These weary hours will not be lost,
These days of passive misery,
These nights of darkness anguish tost
If I can fix my heart on Thee.
Weak and weary though I lie,
Crushed with sorrow, worn with pain,
Still I may lift to Heaven mine eyes
And strive and labour not in vain,
That inward strife against the sins
That ever wait on suffering;
To watch and strike where first begins
Each ill that would corruption bring,
That secret labour to sustain
With humble patience every blow,
To gather fortitude from pain
And hope and holiness from woe.
Thus let me serve Thee from my heart
Whatever be my written fate,
Whether thus early to depart
Or yet awhile to wait.
If Thou shouldst bring me back to life
More humbled I should be;
More wise, more strengthened for the strife,
More apt to lean on Thee.
Should Death be standing at the gate
Thus should I keep my vow;
But, Lord, whate'er my future fate
So let me serve Thee now.

Wait til I Get You Home
You never cease to amaze me
You can still make me crazy
Baby you can turn me on
With just your eyes
Youre just so darn appealing
You stir up sexy feelings
Every man in the room
Would like to try you on for size
Chorus:
Wait til I get you home
Wait til I get you alone
Wait til I get my hands on you
Wait til I get you home sweet baby
Wait til I get you home
Oh baby you still make me
Feel feelins that can take me
To places where Ive never been before
Well honey Ive got a feelin
Well make some shadows on the ceilin
Tonight by candlelight behind closed doors
Chorus:
Wait til I get you home
Wait til I get you alone
Wait til I get my hands on you
Wait til I get you home sweet baby
Wait til I get you home
Your lovin gets better
Each time were together
Its always exciting and new
Each time we discover
Were still like young lovers
Its always been magic with you
Baby wait til I get you home
You just wait til I get you alone
Wait til I get my hands on you
Wait til I get you home sweet baby
Wait til I get you home
Wait til I get you alone
Wait til I get my hands on you
Wait til I get you home sweet baby
Wait til I get you home sweet darlin
Wait til I get you home

Time Waits For None
Oh time oh time
Just wait for mine
I can't run with you
Please wait for mine
I wanna go back to my child hood days
The loving memories & the loving days
Now the world is so busy schedule
I can't sit in peace for a while
Many pressures are arising in my mind
Where I should go, what I should do
I wanna do a lot
However my time is short
Oh time oh time
Just wait for mine
I can't run with you
Please wait for mine
Every day I wake up with some promise
However I fail to keep it
I have to fulfill some dream
Which is my life?
Sometimes I feel time is flowing like wind
However I stand like
My place is not changing
I am like what I was before
Now I wanna to change myself first
Then I could do anything more
However I can't do everything in this little time
Oh time oh time
Just wait for mine
I can't run with you
Please wait for mine
I don't know when my time will be over
&
I can't see the earth further
However I can do one thing
As time is not stopping
I have to run with it
To say the world keeps walking

Lazy
I wish i could go
so far away
where time moves too slow
day after day
ill wait and ill sit and watch
the clouds as they go by
ill wait and ill sit and watch
the cloud as they go by
i have a sensation with laziness
procrastination is what i do best
ill wait
where has my ambition gone
i havent seen it for so long
am i a burden to someone
life,i am so tired
of everything
all my desire
is vanishing
ill wait..
