The relay race
I may have been the slowest child
to ever run in track and field
I was a foodie even then
with not the fastest set of wheels.
I still have the medal that I won
for finishing in second place.
awarded to our relay team
In a two team relay race
I was the anchor(aptly named)
they could have called me 'ball and chain'
The other three were none to spry
We were well matched those three and I.
By the time the baton reached my hand
My competitor neared the promised land
I set out full steam(for me)
as he crossed the line to victory.
I gamely tried to speed in haste
for what I knew was second place
and I was genuinely surprised
when they gave medals to us guys.
I never after won a race
nor finished either show or place.
I prize the medal that I got.
If I was a horse, they'd have me shot.

Every Day
War is no longer declared,
only continued. The monstrous
has become everyday. The hero
stays away from battle. The weak
have gone to the front.
The uniform of the day is patience,
its medal the pitiful star of hope above the heart.
The medal is awarded
when nothing more happens,
when the artillery falls silent,
when the enemy has grown invisible
and the shadow of eternal armament
covers the sky.
It is awarded
for desertion of the flag,
for bravery in the face of friends,
for the betrayal of unworthy secrets
and the disregard
of every command.

The Fastest Guitar Alive
Orbison/dees
Hey here I go a lucky so and so
Happy cos I know Ive got my fast guitar
Singing pretty songs, knowing I belong
I am first and last, and always a fast guitar
The fastest guitar alive
Rattling strings like a gattling gun
Shaped like a lovely woman
Stay right where you are
My guitar is a fast guitar
The fastest guitar alive
Im rolling on like a rolling stone
Gathering no moss, I play a boss guitar
The fastest guitar alive
Strumming like a battling soldiers drum
Shaped like a lovely woman
Stay right where you are
My guitar is a fast guitar
The fastest guitar alive
Hey here I go a lucky so and so
Happy cos I know Ive got my fast guitar
The fastest guitar
The fastest guitar
The fastest guitar alive

Wheels Of Fire
Born on the other side, of the track
Gotta get outta here, I won't look back
Born on the other side, wild as a hurricane
Living in overdrive...
Wheels of fire, in my soul
Wheels of fire, wheels of fire - let 'em roll
Too fast to give a damn, stand my ground
No one or anything, can tie me down
Born on the other side, wild as a hurricane
Living in overdrive...
Wheels of fire, in my soul
Wheels of fire, wheels of fire - let 'em roll
Ride to live, live to ride
Wheels of fire, forever
[solo]
Born on the other side, wild as a hurricane
Living in overdrive...
Wheels of fire, in my soul
Wheels of fire, wheels of fire - let 'em roll
Wheels of fire
Wheels of fire
...

The wheels of time
The wheels of time roll around,
it dosn't stop for anyone
the wheels of time, for me it's almost done.
The wheels of time rolls around,
changes me with age
the wheels of time for my life a new stage
The wheels of time roll around,
life has passed me by
the wheels of time make me want to cry.
The wheels of time roll around
so many changes they bring
the wheels of time, for me going faster than a train.
The wheels of time roll around
another day gone, another day went by,
the wheels of time, changes in my life, I'll apply.
The wheels of time roll around
changes I need to make,
the wheels of time, chances I have to take
The wheels of time roll around
closing in on me,
the wheels of time, finally I'll face it with glee.
I have no problem with my hips - I can still do the things that I used to do. I can run, I'm just not the fastest person on the field anymore.

08-march-2012 336 Days Of Respect
the real man don't say 'I respect my woman'
but into the deep of his heart he ask...
'I'm really loving the woman that i got the privilege to love? '
the respect for the woman never must be show or be weighted
because the medal of this must does not be appended to breast
ma always we have doubt of to deserve it
also if the beloved with her actions
append to soul the medal of gratitude
not her Love, nor her medal
may be considered conquered forever..

Clever
Just it happens many times
the strongest gives up
the fastest man leaves the track
best of the best sailor put down the radar
he who wins the battle must be called clever

Be Inspired
Race down the track,
With limbs so sleek,
Start to attack,
Must not be meek.
For you can win,
Do not delay,
Find strength within,
It's your forte.
Sixty meters, go, go, go,
For when the gun is fired,
Pull out all the power you know,
And you will be inspired.
A prize is there for you to grasp,
It's bronze, silver or gold,
A medal for just you to clasp,
And a terrific thrill to hold.
Race down the track,
Your moment's now,
No looking back,
Then take your bow.
So gold it is,
A splendid run,
You've done the biz,
You're second to none.

To anyone who has started out on a long campaign believing that the gold medal was destined for him, the feeling when, all of a sudden, the medal has gone somewhere else is quite indescribable.

Wheels Of Love
(marjy plant)
The wheels of love turn around and around
Keep on rollin til youve found
The perfect partner, somebody just right
To have and hold every day and every night
So shes halfway to texas with all of your dreams
The world aint as bad as what it might seem
You got a whole lot of living, honey, left to do
Theres still a whole lot of love inside of you
The wheels of love turn around and around
Theyll take you for a ride like a merry-go-round
Dont let the heartache hold you down
When theres plenty of love to left be found
On the wheels, ridin on the wheels of love
Catch you a ride, imagine what you might find
Just the right girl at just the right time
Ready and waiting, shell look you in the eyes
Ah, but the wheels of love will never compromise
So she broke your heart, honey dont look back
You got to keep on rollin down the track
And maybe the next time youll keep your feet on the ground
When the wheels of love spin you around
The wheels of love turn around and around
Theyll take you for a ride like a merry-go-round
Dont let the heartache hold you down
When theres plenty of love left to be found
On the wheels, ridin on the wheels of love
The wheels of love turn around and around
Theyll take you for a ride like a merry-go-round
Dont let the heartache hold you down
When theres plenty of love left to be found
On the wheels, ridin on the wheels of love
Oh, the wheels
Ridin on the wheels of love

Orange Blossom Special
Look a-yonder comin'
Comin' down that railroad track
Hey, look a'yonder comin'
Comin' down that railroad track
It's the Orange Blossom Special
Bringin' my baby back
Well I'm goin down to Florida
And get some sand in my shoes
Or maybe Californy
And get some sand in my shoes
I'll ride that Orange Blossom Special
And lose these New York blues
Say man, when you going back to Florida?
When am I goin' back to Florida? I don't know, don't reckon I ever will
Aint you worried about getting your nourishment in New York?
Well, I don't care if I do-die-do-die-do-die-do-die
Hey talk about a-ramblin'
She's the fastest train on the line
Talk about a-travelin'
She's the fastest train on the line
It's that orange blossom special
Rollin' down the seaboard line

Unknown Health
The reasons for living are few, so few,
Yet we survive many times, but so few.
How does sport entice the believing?
The true survivor embraces and climbs, so few.
A medal is awarded to the permanent in health,
Awards always work on the bedtimes, so few.
We have innocence in the lordship, the kingship
And the presence: this bell chimes, so few.
Let us marry the veterans of war with distress,
As maidens or ghosts are the crimes, so few.
Unknown are the facts of war and peace,
Reasons for my living are for nighttimes, so few.

Words for Sergeant Dakota Meyer, USMC – CMH
Someday when your construction job has helped you heal
I hope through google and the further mystery of the internet
These words will find you
The President did not speak falsely
In your dark valley you are far from alone
Your comrades - living and dead – are not alone
Indeed a nation grieves with you
Your truth is proofed
Your honor is secure
You are not alone
You are not alone
The medal is our grief
It is not your grief
Keep your grief – keep your grief
It will heal you
It will heal you
Keep your grief
The Medal is a souvenir from a place
Where there are no shops

A letter to a Captain
Captain Owen
Did you find your glory?
The glory you left home for
You should have stayed
Stayed safe at home
Captain Owen
I have seen your photographs
The photographs of words
The photographs of death, of war
The same war you died in
You shouldn't have gone
You should have stayed
Stayed safe at home
Captain Owen
You deserved to live
You would've lived if you never went
And yet if you never went
We would have never known
Captain Owen
Did you get a medal?
I will give you a medal
A medal of humanity
A medal of capturing what no one saw
Deaths that everyone turned away from
But you ran to save

I am impressed by the great limitations of the human mind. How quick are we to learn, that is, to imitate what others have done or thought before. And how slow to understand, that is, to see the deeper connections. Slowest of all, however, are we in inventing new connections or even in applying old ideas in a new field.

Sonnet: Mind Control
What is the use of climbing a tall peak?
What is the use of running fastest mile?
What is the use of treating child born freak?
And man forgets his basic tenets, while.
What is the use of winning track-car race?
What is the use of reciting from heart?
What is the use of walking back in pace?
Living our life here on earth is an art.
What is the use of achieving great things?
What is the use of caring for beasts sick?
What is the use of going through fire-rings?
A man forgets to keep the soul quite spick.
Life is art; to achieve things we ought;
Man must try to control his evil-thought.
