Gravity
I would be a lot less heavy
if you would just lighten up!
Running up a flight of stairs
With you in tow, that's tough.
You are the fore-sworn enemy
of a woman's perky breasts.
Nor are you any friend of knees
Or lower backs, I guess.
It's true you do some useful things:
You keep the moon in tow.
You've set escape velocity
To keep me here below
All who would rise resist you,
All who yield must fall.
You're the bete–noir of existence
For Humpty Dumpty on his wall..

(Ain't That) Just Like Me
Mary had a little lamb
His fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
the lamb was sure to go
Now ain't that just like me
well you know cracking up over you
you know that I love you (yeah)
love you (yeah)
Won't you come along there too
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
couldn't put him back again
chorus
Hey diddle-diddle the cat had a fiddle
The cow jumped over the moon
The little dog laughed to see such fun
and the dish ran away with the spoon
chorus
verse 3
chorus
It's all right now
Won't you come along there too
We're shaking now
Won't you come along there too
Come on baby

Whatever Humpty Use to Be
A bail out administered...
To end what?
An economy based upon temptation,
And lust that feeds unending greed?
A welcomed bail out will diminish,
Credit condoned on loans alone...
And this is going to be a return to prosperity?
What nursery rhyme is this...
Wished upon unconscious minds,
To absorb and believe?
Wasn't it Humpty Dumpty who sat on a wall...
Falling off to crack?
Did he not break up into pieces...
Never able to crawl at all?
Never to come back?
Since pieces sitting into crumbling bits,
Would not allow any of it!
And whatever Humpty use to be,
Never again to fit...
As a Humpty Dumpty once perceived.
As reality arrives to stun and surprise.
While chunks of a falling wall is seized!

Look To You
Look to you
I sit and stare but my vision is blurry
I settle down to gaze but my eyes see not what's clear
They are drowned and drenched in the tears from deep within
Tears of the pain and sorrow of my broken heart
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall, humpty dumpty had a great fall
All the kings' horses and all the kings' men couldn't put humpty back together again
Ashley's heart sat on a wall, my heart in one lifetime took a great blow
No king's horses, no kings men but you alone ohh God put it back together again
So I know even a blind man can my eyes" I'll look to you
A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for adversity
If you hear not these words, let me say it again
A friend shows their love at all time, true relatives share the troubles
But who are my friends
When the ones who claim to love me leave as soon as trouble rings the door bell
Are we related ye scribes and Pharisees when you leave me on the road to die
Or maybe my blood is linked to the "sinner' who saved me, the Samaritan who came to help me
Not because I deserve it but because God loved me
So I'll live and say "ohh God I'll look to you"
I take a seat to reflect on life but it never seems to add up
I lie down to clear my head and hear my thoughts
But they sound like the nonsense I heard from people
Echoes and noisy gongs but empty sounds
I wish they made sense but they never do
Self centered, minds made up, hearts deceived
I'll shake my head for none of it makes sense but even when none of this makes
I'll open your word for I know it will make sense
So I'll look to you

A Tried Friend, A True Friend
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to understand;
To cheer the way and help the day
With heart as well as hand:
With heart as well as hand, my dear,
And share the things we 've planned
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to understand!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
A friend to hear our call,
When, wrong or right, we wage the fight
With backs against the wall!
With backs against the wall, my dear,
When hope is like to fall
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend to hear our call!
A friend for you and a friend for me,
To share with us that day
When our ship comes back and naught we lack
Of all for which men pray!
Of all for which men pray, my dear,
That long has gone astray
A tried friend, a true friend,
To share with us that day!
Oh, side by side, on roads untried,
Two souls may better speed
Than one who goes the road he knows
With none to give him heed!
With none to give him heed, my dear,
And help when there is need
A tried friend, a true friend,
A friend, a friend indeed!

My Heart Weeps Like A Thousand Willow Trees
If it is true that a heart cries,
Then my heart weeps like a thousand
Willow trees!
If it is true that a heart knows sorrow,
My heart is sadder than the tragedy of wars
Lost or won!
If it is true that a heart can break
My heart is shattered like Humpty Dumpty
From his fall,
Crushed like a rose beneath uncaring feet!

tell me what am I?
Sometimes I get tired too
Asking some philosophical questions about
My existence, purpose, and life becomes like one
Security guard asking me a lot
As I am about to enter a building
What floor?
What for?
Whom would you want to see?
Your ID please
Leave it,
And I pretend I have a very important purpose in my life
A very important vision for a very important mission
And upon a certain arrival
On the topmost floor
I end up, so this is the floor,
what for?
What am I doing here?
Like a scratch paper I crumple myself
This is not my paper, I have not written the right thing
This is waste for a wastebasket
I crumple this scratch of scribblings without
Any real meaning,
She calls it cranky
I call this a nursery rhyme of my life
Questions which seem hard
But actually there are none of such
But playful stuff of
who am i?
Try these:
1) There was a girl in our town,
Silk an’ satin was her gown,
Silk an’ satin, gold an’ velvet,
Guess her name, three times I’ve told it.
2) As soft as silk, as white as milk,
As bitter as gall, a thick green wall,
And a green coat covers me all.
What am i?
3) Make three fourths of a cross,
And a circle complete;
And let two semicircles
On a perpendicular meet;
Next add a triangle
That stands on two feet;
Next two semicircles,
And a circle complete.
What am i?
4) Flour of England, fruit of Spain,
Met together in a shower of rain;
Put in a bag tied round with a string,
If you’ll tell me this riddle, I’ll give you a ring.
What am i?
5) In marble walls as white as milk,
Lined with a skin as soft as silk,
Within a fountain crystal clear,
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors there are to this stronghold,
Yet thieves break in and steal the gold.
What am i?
6) Long legs, crooked thighs,
Little head and no eyes.
What am i?
7) Formed long ago, yet made to-day,
Employed while others sleep;
What few would like to give away,
Nor any wish to keep.
What am i?
8) Lives in winter,
Dies in summer,
And grows with its root upwards.
What am i?
9) Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Cannot put Humpty Dumpty together again.
What am I?
You will answer.
And you laugh, these are for kindergarten kids
Not for me, but honestly I figure out
Kindergarten stuff
In truth, that is what my life is all about
What am i?
What am i?
come play with me
Pin pin de sirapin de cuchillo de almacen
How how the carabao the batuten
Amy Susie and the rosemarie
Amy Susie and the rosemary
Do you remember all of these?
When you remember what do you feel?
Does not life itself
Smile and laugh a bit
Relieved from its hazards
Rested like a head on a hammock on my arms?
Actually, that is what I am all about
Seeing everything thorugh the eye of the child
Thru an eye of a needle.

Prospero Burns His Books
Forgive and forget, says Prospero.
Forgiveness is for the weak
who are unable to forget.
They make a virtue of their weakness
and preserve their self–respect
with the broken pieces
of their integrity.
Like Humpty Dumpty,
after his Fall,
lying at the foot of Colchester wall.
With the broken pieces
of his identity.

Saturday Nite
Maurice white, al mckay & philip bailey
It was saturday nite, the moon was bright
Shining down, its harvest light
Music all around to hear, set the stage
And atmosphere--many dress to suit
Their taste, participate in the ego race
Tonites the night, for you to be
Biggest man in history
Saturday nites your curtain call
You found your place after all
I saw a face in the crowd
Sayin nothin, yet talking loud
Life is just a day
Living games we play
London bridge is fallin down
Do what simon says
Doing what you feel,
Games can be unreal
Humpty-dumpty when you fall
There be no one here to call
Life is stil your mystery
You see, you see, you see
Many friends, who gather round
In hope, to feel safe and sound
We emphasize, to make it clear
Our stumbling nations atmosphere
While looking thru the looking glass
Our vision show, a stormy past
When you gonna wake, and see the sun--
Stop wasting time and having fun
Life is just a day
Daily games we play
London bridge has fallen down
You did what simon said
Doing what you feel
Games are so unreal
Humpty-dumpty whyd you fall
You see theres no one here to call
Now weve solved this mystery
You see, you see, you see

Some Of Their Laws Are Nothing But Farce
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall,
Humpty Dumpty never did fall,
All the kings horses and all the kings men,
Weren't needed to put Humpty together again.
Why was this I hear you all say,
It has always been that is the way,
By saying it's not you are causing affray,
I'ts the reason Humpty's alive today.
When Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall,
It couldn't be built more than four inches tall,
So if and when he decides to fall,
The kings men and their horses won't need a call.
When Jack and Jill went up the hill,
They didn't fetch a pail of water,
Jack didn't fall down or break his crown,
Nor did Jill come tumbling after.
What is this nonsense I hear you all ask,
Tell us the truth or we'll take you to task,
Well Jack and Jill get their water by stealth,
That way they both remain in good health.
To ask children to work you must be a rotter,
Especially your son and your daughter,
It's like putting lambs to the bloody slaughter,
For that you'll find yourself in very hot water.
When Simple Simon met the pieman,
On his way to the fair,
He said you think that you're a fly man,
So eat my food if you dare.
Simon said I can't because your pie is far too cold,
As it doesn't have a sell by date, I can't say how old,
I've afraid I've got to tell you that your business must now fold,
My gift gift of observation is a power to behold.
Food unheated you must never eat,
If it's went cold you must not reheat,
Especially when it's a type of meat.
Or for sure you'll end up on the toilet seat.
Ring a ring of rosies,
No need to carry posies,
Atishoo atishoo,
Nobody fell down.
This was based on fact you know,
You cannot change all that,
Yes I can I'll tell you so,
You can't blame the poor old rat.
By allowing rats to thrive you see,
Is good for all as they run free,
Killing them all I trust you'll agree,
Is bloody murder we must let them be.
Three blind mice three blind mice,
They no longer run they no longer run,
They got the police to the farmers wife,
Who was arrested for carrying a carving knife.
Now she's in jail for a very long time,
For attempting to commit such a heinous crime,
The mice have a life that is really sublime,
As over the bread and cheese they climb.
Mice are creatures that easily please,
It's wrong to say that they spread disease,
That statement can only be classed as sleaze,
As for cutting their tails off their must be a freeze.
These prime examples I'm sure you will find,
They are not just barbaric they are so unkind,
You all now must get it into your mind,
In Health and Safety they are all now enshrined.
Though it's something the majority really deplore,
You can no longer do what you want anymore,
Big brother is watching your every chore,
It would destroy your soul to the very core.
If we obeyed all the rules Health and Safety impose,
The worlds economies would come to a close,
Their guidelines for working are unclear and sparse,
'' Some Of Their Laws Are Nothing But Farce ''
What an ememy won't
a enemy won't help you in a fight
a friend is there wether you're wrong or right
a enemy wont catch you if you fall
a friend is someone you can always call
a enemy doesn't care if you feel sad
...a friend is there thru good and bad
a enemy is not a friend hes fake
a friend will give but not take
a enemy to hurt you will always find a way
but a friend will always be there until your last day

Never Die Young
We were ring-around-the-rosy children
They were circles around the sun
Never give up, never slow down
Never grow old, never ever die young
Synchronized with the rising moon
Even with the evening star
They were true love written in stone
They were never alone, they were never that far apart
And we who couldnt bear to believe they might make it
We got to close our eyes
Cut up our losses into doable doses
Ration our tears and sighs
You could see them on the street on a saturday night
Everyone used to run them down
Theyre a little too sweet, theyre a little too tight
Not enough tough for this town
We couldnt touch them with a ten-foot pole
No, it didnt seem to rattle at all
They were glued together body and soul
That much more with their backs up against the wall
Oh, hold them up, hold them up
Never do let them fall
Prey to the dust and the rust and the ruin
That names us and claims us and shames us all
I guess it had to happen someday soon
Wasnt nothing to hold them down
They would rise from among us like a big baloon
Take the sky, forsake the ground
Oh, yes, other hearts were broken
Yeah, other dreams ran dry
But our golden ones sail on, sail on
To another land beneath another sky

No-one
Key:-a - anita
R - ray
R: Ive been searching a long time and I just dont know
I try to catch solutions, I try to catch the flow
Thoughts running through my mind, maybe the man in the front, yo
Was the man from behind
Where is the place where I dont have to watch my back
When I can just go without protecting my sex
Will it come? no-one knows, hey yo. no-one knows
A: no-one can resist the desire
To escape to paradise
But it seems like theres nothing else to do
But to dream and fantasize
R: on and on to the break up comes
Uh uh uh cheer
No-one knows
R: you better recognize when I pass your way
Its the techno-rap singer by the name of ray
Can we compromise to have a better place
Can we reach the goal to have an equal race
So amazing how things change
But were growing up so it aint that strange
The inspiration comes through the nation
Will it last, no-one knows, no-one knows
A: no-one can resist the desire
To escape to paradise
But it seems like theres nothing else to do
But to dream and fantasize
A: escape to paradise
Dream and fantisize
Yeah
R: no-one knows, yo, will I know
Like janet jackson thats the way love goes
My minds playing tricks, theres no way out
No-one can hear you, not even if you shout
I feel the pressure, you can not measure
Time will tell, heaven or hell
How will the world survive nowadays
No-one knows, hey yo, no-one knows
A: no-one can resist the desire
To escape to paradise
But it seems like theres nothing else to do
But to dream and fantasize
A: no-one can resist the desire
To escape to paradise
But it seems like theres nothing else to do
But to dream and fantasize
A: hey hey hey hey
No-one knows!
Hey hey hey hey
No-one knows!!
Escape to paradise, yeah
Oh, oh, oh
No-one can resist the desire to escape to paradise!

Bore me
'I might be dead' she said
'or just maybe not fully alive
I hate this in-between state.'
.
'Perhaps you are neither; I said
'perhaps you are just bored unto a numbness that feels like death.
Numb makes you want to react so you
overcompensate with a strained vivaciousness.'
'Yes that is it because' she said 'I became 'perky' and outgoing
which was just the opposite of what I actually felt
but I was very good at it and at times I would forget.
and think that 'perky' was me.
That face would leave me especially at night
and I would begin to doubt again as to my true state,
dead, alive or in between.
'So what do you think is the thing to do? ' I said
'Well dead and perky is not something I now see is sustainable.
So bored is the face of my dilemma
and the cure for boredom is circumstance and clear goals
but I don't seem to have any that I can discern.
I don't seem to have any talent or passion which drives me forward.
I rise up only to fall back into the ditch
feeling phoney.
There is nothing which moves me.
What I am to do?
'Well' I said 'tell me about the boredom, its sounds interesting to me.'

Living Legend
Was it bitter then with our backs against the wall?
Were we better men than wed ever been before?
Say, if she came again today, would you still answer to the call?
Tell the truth, my friend, dont it matter anymore?
We were simple men by her side when she was born
It was simple then like the freedom when you fall
And we were smaller then, you see, but soon we gathered like a storm.
They dont understand what that thunder meant at all.
Was he crucified? was he done in by the lawman?
Are you satisfied that hell never ride again?
Some people say he got away; they say he never died at all.
If that storys true, does it bother you, my friend?
Was it bitter then, with our backs against the wall?
Were we better men than wed ever been before?
Say, if she came again today, would you still answer to the call?
Tell the truth, my friend, dont it matter anymore?

A Enemy / A Friend.
a enemy will always snitch,
a friend likes you wether your poor or rich,
a enemy won't help you in a fight,
a friend is there wether you're wrong or right,
a enemy hurts you day and night,
a friend is like family you're always tight,
a enemy wont catch you if you fall,
a friend is someone you can always call,
a enemy doesn't care if you stay alive,
a friend doesn't let you drink and drive,
a enemy doesn't care if you feel sad,
a friend is there thru good and bad,
a enemy is not a friend hes fake,
a friend will give but not take,
a enemy will try to hit up your girl,
a friend will help you confront the world,
a enemy borrows money and doesn't pay you back,
a friend will always have your back,
a enemy to hurt you will always find a way,
but a friend will always be there until your last day.

A True Friend
A true friend
A true friend is the one who picks you up when you fall
A true friend is one that won't lie
A true friend is there when you call
A true friend is there when you want to die
A true friend knows just what to say
A true friend won't care what other people think
A true friend will help you find your way
A true friend will make sure you don't sink
A true friend will help you choose your path
A true friend will know when something is wrong
A true friend has to sometimes face your wrath
A true friend makes you feel like you belong
A true friend
