John Donne

Ode

I. VENGEANCE will sit above our faults ; but till
She there do sit,
We see her not, nor them. Thus blind, yet still
We lead her way ; and thus, whilst we do ill,
We suffer it.

2. Unhappy he whom youth makes not beware
Of doing ill.
Enough we labour under age, and care ;
In number, th' errors of the last place are
The greatest still.

3. Yet we, that should the ill we now begin
As soon repent,
Strange thing ! perceive not ; our faults are not seen,
But past us ; neither felt, but only in
The punishment.

4. But we know ourselves least ; mere outward shows
Our minds so store,
That our souls no more than our eyes disclose
But form and colour. Only he who knows
Himself, knows more.

Never Give Up

There are things in life
Can't be talked about
They only can be lived
They just keep passing by
Infront of our eyes
The stories of our lives
Makes us what we are
Every ones past includes its future within
What we have planted at past we harvest its seeds
Sometimes unconscious of our faults we take wrong steps unknown
Sometimes the life seems to us like a purple colored cartoon story books
Where the legends are always the winner heroes when the story ends
At the end of the book with proud smile upon face we turn the page down
Ah but they stay and live there inside us The colorful stories legendary character's which always and always are the heroes of every story anyways
And we figure them out there in our minds the ideal ones
As we grow up picturing out the ideal life as we had pictured it out in our minds that we used to dream about
We color the life as we want it to be forgetting about realities
There misery comes out with smiling faces covered with ugliness of the simplicity we fall in faults unaware
But somehow at the near future we harvest the weeds of our deeds disappointment slaps us there
Sometimes we understand it and sometimes don't,
Sometimes we forget and we reach out for God to blame
Some of us have special abilities to find a victim to hung on them the blame of their regrets
Forgetting that everyone is the only responsible of every decision that he takes
But the life is going on never stand there behind a regret like a grave
The grave of your faults and regrets they will never be changed
As the one who's dead under the grave which no tear would make him rise up of the grave
So are our faults and regrets never-ending circular that repeats running around itself
Just stand up and never blame anyone including yourself
Faults we do gives us the strength and the ability to discover the secrets of the life
And with the time we graduate from the greatest school in the world that's called school of the life.

Sonnet III: If So It Hap

If so it hap this offspring of my care,
These fatal Anthems, sad and mournful Songs,
Come to their view, who like afflicted are;
Let them yet sigh their own, and moan my wrongs.
But untouch'd hearts, with unaffected eye,
Approach not to behold so great distress:
Clear-sighted you, soon note what is awry,
Whilst blinded ones mine errors never guess.
You blinded souls whom youth and errors lead,
You outcast Eaglets, dazzled with your sun:
Ah you, and none but you my sorrows read;
You best can judge the wrongs that she hath done.
That she hath done, the motive of my pain,
Who, whilst I love, doth kill me with disdain.

Faults

They came to tell your faults to me,
They named them over one by one;
I laughed aloud when they were done,
I knew them all so well before, --
Oh, they were blind, too blind to see
Your faults had made me love you more.

Do not think of your faults, still less of other's faults; look for what is good and strong, and try to imitate it. Your faults will drop off, like dead leaves, when their time comes.

Our Eyes

Have you seen
How quickly
Our eyes close
When they
See our own
Faults?

And how quickly
They pop out open
When they guzzle in
Others' faults?

Our eyes open
Wide and shut.
They are very
Choosy about
Our faults ;)
Being partial
Towards us,
But unsparing,
Towards others.

No, it is Not your Fault.

Poem Title: No, It is not your Fault. Acrostic Poem 153

No, it is not your fault!
Oh how many times must I say this, it is not your fault.

It is not your fault, from now on I want you to believe it, it is not your fault.
Try always and forever from this time on to master the fact that it is not your fault.

It is not your fault, Nobody is to blame, no thing, no way, no how, it is not your fault.
Since childhood have you not continually taken the blame upon yourself, It was not your fault.

Never wishing to cast doubt upon what a wonderful person you are, It is not your fault.
Out side of the love of friends and family are you seen as just a number, No, it's not your fault.
They may never get close enough to see the light you radiate, No, it is not your fault

Yesterday, troubles, debt, sorrow, disappointment, failure dogged your step, It was not your fault.
Over years, with hindsight your advantage, do you now see the illuminated sign on every corner?
Understanding dawns at last, Understanding all and everything gone before, was not your fault.
Redemption now at hand, you are at the gateway all your skills intact, you are loved with all faults.

Faults have given you a tool bag filled with wisdom, mistakes having been made rectified always.
All ways, All roads, All pathways trod, All modes explored, All embarrassments suffered, never at fault
Unless you count on all you meet as being with all faults, help them then aboard faults and all.
Light their hearts with your love and forgiveness despite the faults, will erase the faults you own.
That fault you thought you had was just my way of Guiding Angels through the maze Alone.

Hymn 89

Youth and judgment.

Eccl. 11:9.

Ye sons of Adam, vain and young,
Indulge your eyes, indulge your tongue,
Taste the delights your souls desire,
And give a loose to all your fire;

Pursue the pleasures you design,
And cheer your hearts with songs and wine;
Enjoy the day of mirth, but know
There is a day of judgment too.

God from on high beholds your thoughts,
His book records your secret faults;
The works of darkness you have done
Must all appear before the sun.

The vengeance to your follies due
Should strike your hearts with terror through:
How will you stand before his face,
Or answer for his injured grace?

Almighty God! turn off their eyes
From these alluring vanities;
And let the thunder of thy word
Awake their souls to fear the Lord.

Faults And All

(Carl Perkins)
Not so very long from now
She'll be known all over town
Cause she waits by her phone from in the car
She says the limit is the sky
And tonight she's flyin' high
But I'll hang around and take her faults and all
O' Yes she once was mine
Now she's changed and she's that kind
With a crowd she has her self a ball
But she's not that kind of girl
She's just hidin' from the world
But I'll hang around and take her faults and all
She's about as low as a girl can go
She ain't got far to fall
But when she hits the ground
I'm gonna be around
'Cause I want her most of all
And when all's been said and done
I'm gonna be the one
Who'll hang around and take her faults and all
Yeah I'll hang around and take her faults and all

Ch 01 Manner of Kings Story 34

One of the sons of Harun-ur-Rashid went to his father and angrily informed him that the son of an official had used insulting expressions towards him whereon Harun asked his courtiers what requital he deserved. One of them proposed capital punishment, another the amputation of the tongue whilst a third recommended fine and imprisonment. Then Harun said: "Oh my son, it would be generous to pardon him but, if thou art unable to do so, use likewise insulting expressions concerning his mother; not however to such a degree as to exceed the bounds of vengeance because in that case the wrong will be on thy side."

He is not reputed a man by the wise
Who contends with a furious elephant
But he is a man in reality
Who when angry speaks not idle words.
An ill-humoured fellow insulted a man
Who patiently bore it saying: "O hopeful youth,
I am worse than thou speakest of me
For I am more conscious of my faults than thou."

The greatest of all faults is to be conscious of none. Recognizing our limitations and imperfections is the first requisite of progress. Those who believe they have arrived believe they have nowhere to go. Some not only have closed their minds to new truth, but they sit on the lid.

to suffer thru this life
so we may want to die

before you tell me im wrong
rush to my judgement
iv already felt Gods
wrath and punishment

i was married to him
for many years
felt more than enough pain

Lenten Reflections!

When every time I’ve got to fast,
My hunger pangs then seizes me,
I feel so weak and terrible,
Until I eat or drink something!

When every time I make up mind
To keep away from every sin,
The Tempter comes with new techniques,
And makes me fall in sin again!

When every time I reset life,
And repent for my sins of past,
And try to lead a perfect life,
The Tempter baits me with a snare!

When every time I talk to God,
And ask His forgiveness for sins,
And make a promise not to sin,
The Tempter goads me break accord.

When every time I walk with God,
Reminded of His unique love,
And try to keep the Heaven’s road,
The Tempter makes me go astray!

When every time I suffer fall,
The Tempter laughs and mocks at me;
’Tis God who comes to lift me up,
Consoling and comforting me!

Why then should not I follow Christ,
My Savior, who died for my sins?
He brought the earth so nigh Heaven,
Welcoming sinners who repent.

Lent time is to go nearer God;
Lenten desert gives grace to souls;
Lent makes our hearts and minds purer;
Lent affords chance to gain Heaven.

Saint John Baptist

THE last and greatest Herald of Heaven's King,
Girt with rough skins, hies to the deserts wild,
Among that savage brood the woods forth bring,
Which he than man more harmless found and mild.
His food was locusts, and what young doth spring
With honey that from virgin hives distill'd;
Parch'd body, hollow eyes, some uncouth thing
Made him appear, long since from earth exiled.
There burst he forth: 'All ye, whose hopes rely
On God, with me amidst these deserts mourn;
Repent, repent, and from old errors turn!'
--Who listen'd to his voice, obey'd his cry?
   Only the echoes, which he made relent,
   Rung from their marble caves 'Repent! Repent!'

Gospel (Lk 6: 39-42)

Why note the splinter in your brother’s eye,
And nev’r notice the log within your own?
Why tell, ‘I’ll take the splinter off your eye,
When you can’t see the log in yours? ’

You hypocrite!
‘Take out the log from your eye first,
When only you can see clearly;
Then take the splinter out from brother’s eye! ’

Many a time, we never know
Nor do we ever realize
Our own great faults and blunders made
But always try to give advice
Unto others on flimsy grounds;

A wise man makes himself perfect
Before embarking on preaching;
We note the faults of others fast;
We forget sins of our own past;
We should not try to judge others;
God is the perfect Judge, brothers!

Feelings Of A Fiancee

A fiancee, longing for her lover
who had gone to a distant place to earn,
To come back and embrace her, feels as follows:

While I see him again
After longing for him to come to me,
I don't find his faults and mischief;

While I don't see him for some time,
I don't see nothing but his faults
And mischief!

Recipe to Heaven

Acknowledge God’s supreme power;
Have faith in the omniscient God;
Follow what conscience tells in life;
Ask God’s forgiveness for past sins.

Confess sins, reconcile with God;
Empty soul off all sinful trash;
Repent for trespasses past;
Erase blunders and faults done.

Promise to lead a life that’s pure;
Get God’s help to fight Satan;
Dress the soul with garb of grace;
Carry your cross, following Jesus.

Do your duty in all ways;
Surrender your soul to God;
Walk in the footsteps of Christ;
Set your eyes’ gaze towards heaven.

Enter heaven through the narrow gate!

Thesis and Antithesis

If that we thus are guilty doth appear,
Ah, guilty tho’ we are, grave judges, hear!
Ah, yes; if ever you in your sweet youth
’Midst pleasure’s borders missed the track of truth,
Made love on benches underneath green trees,
Stuffed tender rhymes with old new similes,
Whispered soft anythings, and in the blood
Felt all you said not most was understood
Ah, if you have, as which of you has not?
Nor what you were have utterly forgot,
Then be not stern to faults yourselves have known,
To others harsh, kind to yourselves alone.

That we, young sir, beneath our youth’s green trees
Once did, not what should profit, but should please,
In foolish longing and in love-sick play
Forgot the truth and lost the flying day,
That we went wrong we say not is not true,
But, if we erred, were we not punished too?
If not, if no one checked our wandering feet,
Shall we our parents’ negligence repeat?
In future times that ancient loss renew,
If none saved us, forbear from saving you?
Nor let that justice in your faults be seen
Which in our own or was or should have been!

Yet, yet, recal the mind that you had then,
And, so recalling, listen yet again;
If you escaped, ’tis plainly understood
Impunity may leave a culprit good;
If you were punished, did you then, as now,
The justice of that punishment allow?
Did what your age consents to now, appear
Expedient then and needfully severe?
In youth’s indulgence think there yet might be
A truth forgot by grey severity.
That strictness and that laxity between,
Be yours the wisdom to detect the mean.

’Tis possible, young sir, that some excess
Mars youthful judgment and old men’s no less;
Yet we must take our counsel as we may
For (flying years this lesson still convey),
’Tis worst unwisdom to be overwise,
And not to use, but still correct one’s eyes.

Red;

Red is the colour of anger welling up inside me,
Red is believing and then having doubt,
Red is the colour of love and romance,
Red is the colour of the end of my nose on a cold winter day.
The colour of little red riding hoods coat,
Red is mars high up in the sky;
The colour that flushes my cheeks after playing sport and getting embarressed.
The colour of my sore sad eyes after crying.
Red is the colour of my warm blood flooding my veins,
Which shows Human Bondage,
Which shows the life within me,
Red is the colour of ambition burning my soul,
Red is the colour of the devil, which feeds me my power.
