Moonlight
HE feigned a fine indifference
To be so prodigal of light,
Knowing his piteous twisted things
Would lose the crooked marks of spite
When only moonbeams fit the dusk
And made his wicked world seem right.
But we forget so soon the shame,
Conceiving sweetness if we can
Heaven the citadel itself
Illumined on the lunar plan;
And I the chief of sinners, I
The middlemost Victorian!
Now I shall ride the misty lake
With my own love, and speak so low
That not a fishy thing shall hear
The secrets passing to and fro
Amid the moonlight poetries.
O moonshine, how unman us so?

I Am A Wicked Child
Mother mary come to me
Cause I am a wicked child
I have sinned and I am so confused and I am a wicked child
I am a wicked child
I am the devils son and I wish I could be good for you
I walk a crooked mile
but I wish I could be good
I wish I could be good
If I could have kept the straight and narrow
If I could have kept the straight and narrow
And not have broke your heart
Not have broke your heart
Now I wake up in the night
Lying on my bed
It's tugging at my arms and legs
Like I was a marionette
Send baby Jesus
Surely it is time
Send baby jesus
Let him radiate his light
Radiate his light

Bad, Wicked World
Bad, wicked world
Bad, wicked world
They are about dressed to deceive
Conquistadores that have been sent
Bad, wicked world
Bad, wicked world
Some sell him out, some wont believe
An architect named david vincent
A man too long without sleep
He took a wrong turn and people just laughed
A ship that is not there
But he knows that it was
It made a light and a buzz
Hes really hurt because
People dont care
People think hes a creep
He will not stop, he keeps on talking
Just a tie and a suit
Hes a lonely persuader
Fist-throwing crusader
Against invaders
Wont be mute
Bad, wicked world
Bad, wicked world
Some sell him out, some wont believe
An architect named david vincent
Bad, wicked world
Bad, wicked world
They are about dressed to deceive
Conquistadores that have been sent
About once a week
Another story has leakes and hes on it
Just a suit and a tie
Will it ever end?
He hasnt got a friend
Pinkies that wont bend
He really must try
Bad, wicked world
Bad, wicked world
Some sell him out, some wont believe
An architect named david vincent

Twisted matter
Twisted faces, twisted emotions,
Twisted past, twisted present,
Twisted future, twisted hopes
Twisted preaching, twisted action,
Twisted truth, twisted lie,
Everything is twisted and twisted,
O Lord, where is thy twist?

The Human Eye
God made the eye-
An extension of brain:
To see the beauty of all things,
He made.
God made the eye-
The mirror of the brain:
To show the mind’s beauty
Within.
God made the eye-
A camera:
To picture Nature’s lively snaps,
For man.
God made the eye-
A receiver:
To gather photic stimuli
For thought.
God made the eye-
Lovely:
To give expression to the face
Of man.
God made the eye-
For sight:
To perceive what the environs
Can give.
God made the eye-
For knowing world of good and bad:
To walk the roads in Heaven’s light,
On earth.
God made the eye-
For seeing light in dark alleys:
To look before one leaps in life
On earth.
God made the eye-
With two fine lids:
To prevent vice
From reaching mind.
God made the eye-
To see and feel:
The Omniscient Lord
Of creation.
God made the eye-
To know His love
And mercy great:
For man and beast.
God made the eye-
To see the light
Of Godliness
On earth’s terrain.
God made the eye-
To choose the road
That leads to Hell
Or to Heaven.

Starry Night
lying on my back i feel you breathing
sucking down the ghosts into your sleep
there's something in your spine that makes me nervous
and the black that swells between us grows more deep
i cut the world in chords making melodies from words and i'm confused again
take all this abuse because i ain't got much to lose
it's a starry starry night out here on hope street
but hope gives way to hunger when you're poor
and with pockets full of promises and poems
i know that you ain't worth much anymore
spoke in broken time crooked rythyms twisted rhymes and i'm confused again
paint my world in blue because i've never liked to lose
i don't think i want to spend another night with you
i don't think i want to spend another day feeling the way you leave me to
standing in the half light of the morning
i watch the shadows lace across my shoes
there's something in your voice that makes me nervous
if i can tell we're lying why can't you?
the song that's in my head is playing backwards in this bed and i'm confused again
seems like i have to choose it feels like either way i lose

Holy Sonnet XIII: What If This Present Were The World's Last Night?
What if this present were the world's last night?
Mark in my heart, O soul, where thou dost dwell,
The picture of Christ crucified, and tell
Whether that countenance can thee affright,
Tears in his eyes quench the amazing light,
Blood fills his frowns, which from his pierced head fell.
And can that tongue adjudge thee unto hell,
Which prayed forgiveness for his foes' fierce spite?
No, no; but as in my idolatry
I said to all my profane mistresses,
Beauty, of pity, foulness only is
A sign of rigour: so I say to thee,
To wicked spirits are horrid shapes assigned,
This beauteous form assures a piteous mind.

Lady Nina
(fish, steve rothery, mark kelly, pete trewavas, ian mosley)
You pick out your credit cards and check into the night
A dozen tequilas and youre feeling all right
So you swim to the disco, out of your depth jaded gigolo
Your lucky charms are tarnished so you leave alone
But theres one place left to go before the taxi home
After all youve made your marks
One night youll play elizabeth taylor
The next night youre marilyn monroe
Forever kissing frogs that think theyre princes
Oh, lady nina, where did all the romance go?
Your little sister babysits, your husband picks you up at six
The make-up hides the bruises and the tears so they never show
cos your beauty is the only thing youve ever owned
Its the only way youve ever known to make your marks
You made your marks, you made your marks
We believe its for real
Ich liebe dich, liebst du mich
Lady nina, Id love to take you home with me
But I love my wife and I love my family
Ive got a good job, responsibilities
And I need to keep respect from society
I know youll never act with me, I know that youre in love with me
So how do I compare to the sailors of the ships of the night?
Was I all right?
Did you come tonight, lady nina?
You made your marks, you made your marks
Ebony flowers pinned to a velvet cushion in a red light
And edith piaf sings a lullaby for the night
Just making marks, just making marks
Just making marks, just making marks
You made your marks
Ebony flowers pinned to a velvet cushion in a red light
And edith piaf sings a lullaby for the night
Just making marks, just making marks
You made your marks
And you made your mark
Just making marks
And you made your mark
Just making marks

I'm Twisted and Evil
I'm twisted its true,
and its all because of you.
All the hateful things you said,
and what you've put me through.
I'm evil indeed,
and its all because of me.
The things I put before my eyes,
and the books I like to read.
Twisted and evil,
and up to no damn good.
I want so bad just to be loved,
why aint that understood.
Take out my pain on some one else,
is the only thing I know.
These twisted evil ways of mine,
are all Ive got to show.
I'm twisted and evil,
through my flesh down to the bone.
And I do twisted evil things,
just thought you'd like to know.

A Holocaust of pretty words
It’s a holocaust of pretty words and crooked smiles.
You expect me to laugh it off.
You expect me to be fine.
You expect for me to wake up and keep on living with this genocide.
“All it was…”
I want to know what it wasn’t.
I want you to pinpoint to where and when and at what part you thought this was okay.
But you won’t.
I guess some things really are better left unsaid.
Like the time I cut myself.
I never told you, but I bled all over the shower.
It stained the curtain and my hands.
I lied, red-handed:
This is a holocaust of pretty words and crooked smiles.
I can’t sleep with the weight of this mistake on my shoulders.
I can feel the poison from your last touch seep into my skin.
I can’t sleep knowing this is genocide.

The Choice Of A Second Chance
The old man says, 'I'm not ready yet.'
Oh when death in all her splendour comes, what will you say?
Take me here and now.
In debt by a vow.
With wedlock it surrounds.
With love the heart pounds.
But only the darkness is sought to be found.
A purpose unknown and unclaimed.
A seeking of fame.
As if only to remember my name.
Destine to complain to the very last breath.
In a world of uncontrollable circumstance.
The chaos of all the utter nonsense.
Picking berries from a million bushes.
Which is the right one?
How do we choose.
Knowing in all eventualities we will all lose.
We say we must do right.
But by whom?
And that question forever looms.
Always stagnant on my mind.
Making a pack with all kinds.
A world full of fortune tellers.
A story book of lies.
A second chance to do the dance.
Reborn in the wicked storm.
The skies light up.
The thunder roars.
And the choice still has to be made.
Were all dressed up and no where to go.
Oh no, oh no.
I'm just going to continue on with the show.

0003 Reborn Metaphor
I was born to be a metaphor;
Darwin, embarrassed, did not talk of me;
I did not fit into his scheme of things; I,
knowing secrets of the tears of things,
while he used his fine mind
(which is, so obviously, beyond the physical)
to deny that world, the metaphysical..
To be a metaphor
you need to know your place;
stay around too long, you lose
that vital force; no one believes
in the unbelievable – when there’s no mystery,
that’s the end of metaphor for man.
Better choose a quiet place,
some corner of a foreign field
only to be found in mind,
do the necessary – a few dry leaves and sticks
to lay false trail – and the semblance of a nest; you,
a place apart..
The desert, then, was easier; Egypt understood;
the sun rose warm
on the eggshell of pure thought;
Greece, appreciative, then found a name for me;
a whole race followed in my rise;
Rome was, how to put it, unoriginal;
America called a dry town, in an arid zone, after me;
may yet know me, nested in my cruellest magnificence,
ash and twisted steel and concrete, office equipment;
I a metaphor, awaiting a new birth.

Fine, Fine, Very Fine Love
I never knew how good a love could be
all i'd ever known was make beleive
so many times i played the fool
baby till i met you
now everything has fallen in place
you can tell by the smile on my face
for every lonely tear that i've cried
i'm that much satisfied
(Chrous)
We've got a fine fine very fine love
We''ve got a fine fine very fine love
You know it when you find one shining like a diamond
It's so fine fine very fine love
You are more precious to me every day

Now everything has fallen in place
You can tell by the smile on my face
For every lonely tear that Ive cried

The World
The world may seem perfect, but it's not.
It's a dark twisted disturbing place.
That's full of mean dark twisted people, that may seems fine but isn't.
Every where you go there is some one hunting some one else.
By loving or something else.

A Crooked Smile (song)
With your deep brown eyes
and your crooked smile
you swept me away for
quite a while when you smiled
a crooked smile
Then you came and
asked for a chance
but all I said was
How bout a dance
and then you smiled
A crooked smile
(Chorus)
Now your gone
and I'm missing you
and my broken Heart
wont be in two
when you smile
a crooked smile
Years have passed
and tears have too
but all I know
is I love you
and your smile
your crooked smile
Yesterday when you
got off the plane
you ran to my side
cuz I stood at your gate
and then you smiled
a croooked smile
You pulled me close
and said hello
but I could see
you were being mellow
til you smiled
a crooked smile
(Chorus)
now your here
and I'm loving you
and my broken heart
won't be in two
when you smile
a crooked smile
Moments passed
and memories made
And I know there ain't a better day
then when you smile
a crooked smile
Oh when you smile
my heart goes wild

Lose It All
oh no....
Take what you need
cause I can't hold my breath
say what you feel
cause I got nothing left
I made a promise to myself last night
I'm gonna keep it
if its wrong or right
And if I lose it all
there be nothing left to lose
and I would take the fall
cause knowing you are out there breathing its so wonderful its a chance I take even if I break and I lose it all if I lose it all......
wouldn't matter anyway
Don't change a thing
perfect as you are
Time has a way
time is all I got
If my heart should shatter watching you
then there's one thing I would have to prove
And if I lose it all
there be nothing left to lose
and I would take the fall
cause knowing you are out there breathing its so wonderful its a chance I take even if I break and I lose it all if I lose it all......
wouldn't matter anyway
Heaven will be waiting
when I fall into your open arms
I believe you'll find me there
you'll find me there
And if I lose it all
there be nothing left to lose
and I would take the fall (take the fall) cause knowing you are out there breathing its so wonderful its a chance I take even if I break and I lose it all if I lose it all......
wouldn't matter anyway

Despite
The terrible things that the Governor
Of Kansas says alarm me;
And yet somehow we won the war
In spite of the Regular Army.
The things they say of the old N.G.
Are bitter and cruel and hard;
And yet we walloped the enemy
In spite of the National Guard.
Too late, too late, was our work begun;
Too late were our forces sent;
And yet we smeared the horrible Hun
In spite of the President.
"What a frightful flivver this Baker is!"
Cried many a senator;
And yet we handed the Kaiser his
In spite of the Sec. of War.
A sadly incompetent, sinful crew
Is that of the recent fight;
And yet we put it across, we do,
In spite of a lot of spite.

Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life — and travel — leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks — on your body or on your heart — are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.

Sick And Twisted World
The world I live in is Sick and Twisted,
The guy who is like my brother I love,
The guy who I have grown to love I've known so long.
The world I live in is Sick and Twisted,
To no path can I have him,
To no path do I want him.
The world I live in is Sick and Twisted,
As I walk though in a room there he is,
As I walk though that room I walk out.
The world I like in is Sick and Twisted,
On a dirty road I walk alone,
On a dirty road I walk with just a Shadow.
In a world so Sick and Twisted,
Its hard to know what I trust,
Its hard to know what is not fake.
This is a very Sick and Twisted World,
The world that is our's,
And the world we never help.
These is a very Sick and Twisted World,
And no one can give a danm,
And no one can help me out.
What a Sick and Twisted World,
This is.
