The 5 Nonsenses
I can tell that a SMELL is a far greater thing
Than an ugly old dog, or a bird on the wing;
Or a chocolate frog, or a phone on the ring,
Yes a smell is a far greater thing.
I can HEAR that a tear is a terrible pain,
Like a slap in the face, or a race in the rain;
I just know that the snow once again will complain,
That a tear is a terrible pain.
I can TASTE a loud noise as it beats on the door,
With a sledgehammer grin and a coconut roar;
Will it ever give in, will it shout out for more?
The loud noise as it beats on the door.
I can TOUCH a good joke with a bargepole of lead,
I can laugh it to death with my humorous head;
If I turned it around I could thump it instead,
This good joke... with a bargepole of lead.
I can SEE that I'm thinking this poem is daft
You agree, it's all nonsense, like air that we waft
Through our sensible heads as we cry and then laugh,
Now I see that this poem is daft.

Shout It Out Loud
Well, the nights begun and you want some fun
Do you think youre gonna find it (think youre gonna find it)
You got to treat yourself like number one
Do you need to be reminded (need to be reminded)
It doesnt matter what you do or say
Just forget the things that youve been told
We cant do it any other way
Everybodys got to rock and roll, whoo, oh, oh
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
If you dont feel good, theres a way you could
Dont sit there broken hearted (sit there broken hearted)
Call all your friends in the neighborhood
And get the party started (get the party started)
Dont let em tell you that theres too much noise
Theyre too old to really understand
Youll still get rowdy with the girls and boys
cause its time for you to take a stand, yeah, yeah
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Youve got to have a party
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Turn it up louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Oh yeah
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Hear it gettin louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
And everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud

I Say, I Say, I Say
At night I like to run a bath,
not round the block,
don't laugh, don't laugh,
it's not a dog, it is a bath.
Oh you're not daft,
not daft, not daft.

Decebalus speaking to his people [Decebal către popor]
Life is just a useless thing
If you don't live it like a king!
And now has come a wicked race
A yoke upon your neck to place;
It's bad enough that we were born
Why need some more disgrace?
If we were stargods from the sky
One day we all are gonna die!
A man may die when young and sane
Or when he's old and feeling pain
But it's a different thing to die
A wretched dog in chain.
All those who fight, but sigh and whine
Even they were in the front line,
They are for us like any guy
Who runs away because he's shy!
The whining, now and anytime,
Is but a futile cry!
To hold their peace all cowards can
And all the dead, but real man
Must laugh aloud and say farewell
So let us laugh and let us yell
To make a wild and frightful noise
From sky to hell.
If all the streams were filled with blood
You'd smash the rascals in the mud.
When facing death you do not cry -
You must have fallen from the sky,
Because you laugh at all your foes
Who are afraid to die.
They're Romans and they have this aim
But if our god, Zamolxis, came
Leading his people from on high
Even all those we would defy
And would not give them any land
Because they have their sky.
Pick up your blades and blow the horn
It's bad enough that we were born
But who's afraid and has no might
Is free to go, to give up fight
And leave us on this battlefield
To do what it is right.
I've said enough, but one last word:
You've sworn on your terrible sword
So there's no need for such a fuss
To beg the gods and to discuss
Because the gods are in the sky,
But foes are here with us.

Loud
Loud songs
loud colours
loud gossip
loud drummers
loud fragrance
loud worship
loud laughters
loud roar
loud snore
loud thunders
sink into the waters of silence
Silence is louder than loudness
Silence is the sister of death
Have you heard the breath of silence
Have you heard the noise of death

A Sense Of Humor
listen to a joke
just listen and then don't mind the face of the teller
just listen and then something clicks
and you catch something funny
and you laugh
keep the joke and dissect it
let is stay
retell it to yourself or even to your friend
retell it how many times to him
and let him write it
you see there is no click anymore
something funny was lost
because you want to keep it
because you want to let it stay in you
one thing with a joke is that it must
always be something new
one that you have not heard before
i tell you, it is just like a poem
thereis this switch, a clicking
and then something happens
how can you tell it? you can't
tell it and then it is gone

It Is A Joke
it is a joke
and it will always be
a joke
that how it is,
it is a joke, my own joke, and i laugh
when i remember it,
i send it to you and you send it back
like a ping-pong ball
it bounces and i see it coming
back to me
it hits me right in my eyes
got double vision, cross-eyed
i am hurt. It is not a joke anymore.
it is here beside
a tear, a bruise, stained and scarred.

When I Feel Your Pain
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
COMING THROUGH THE PHONE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
WHEN YOUR HOME ALONE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
WHAN I STARE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN AND I SHED A TEAR
WHEN I THINK OF WHAT YOUR GOING THROUGH
THE ONLY THING I CAN REALLY DO
IS LOOK YOU IN THE EYES AND SAY
YOU KNOW I'LL ALWAYS LOVE Y OU
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
DAY BY DAY
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
AND I SHED AWAY
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
MORE AND MORE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
WHEN YOU WALK OUT THE DOOR
WHEN I THINK OF YOU AND ME
I FEEL YOU PAIN RUNNING THROUGH
ITS RUNNING THROUGH MY BODY SHARP AND DEEP
BUT I KNOW YOU CAN'T BE BEET
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
WHEN YOUR HOME ALONE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
COMING THROUGH THE PHONE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
WHEN I STARE
I FEEL YOUR PAIN
AND I SHED A TEAR

Dying Inside
Terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying
It was a terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying inside
To see you're dying
Won't you come out
I'll play the game with day
Won't you speak out
I'll say the things you say
The lady loved her gold
The lady lost her soul
It was a terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying
It was a terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying inside
To see you're dying
Do you remember the things we used to do
Do you remember the way it was for you
The lady loved her gold
The lady lost her soul
It was a terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying
It was a terrible thing
It was a terrible thing to see you're dying inside
To see you die

I, I should've been listening
To every word you said
Oh, what have I been missing
Wishing, wishing that you were dead
I didn't mean to be so disturbing
So far from home
Oh, what have I been learning
By being all alone
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
(Is gonna) Just tears you apart
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
(Is gonna) Just tears you apart
When, when we were younger
Sleep while I'm awake
I was trying to keep the door locked
I realize that's a mistake
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
Is gonna tear you apart
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
Is gonna tear you apart
Every little thing that you do
Seems so much better than I could do
Oh, I shouldve been listening
To every word you said
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
Is gonna tear you apart
Every little thing
Every little thing
Every little thing
Is gonna tear you apart (it's gonna)
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Is gonna tear you apart
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Every little thing (it's gonna)
Is gonna tear you apart
It's gonna
It's gonna
It's gonna tear you apart
It's gonna
It's gonna
It's gonna tear you apart

Fundamental of Liar Chapter XXII: Laugh
there's laugh, forced laugh
laugh, gentle rejection without word
laugh, looking sympathy with laugh
laugh but actually doesn't laugh
hiding anger, hiding pain
cheerful laugh but alone inside
why you try hard to impress people?
tired and wounded more
laughing your foolish joke
and crying life in the dark room
laugh for yourself
laugh with your heart
and you'll never regret to try an honest laugh

Christmas Debris
Did we drink all those bottles?
Did we eat all that food?
Was it just the beer that made that girl
So very very rude?
Who spilt that on the carpet?
Whoever gave me that?
What's that funny smell pervading
All corners of the flat?
Was it midnight when we went to bed?
Why''s the kitchen such a mess?
What's that thump thump noise within my head
That's causing me distress?
Why do i feel my age today
Quite tired and just remiss?
And does the vaccum cleaner
Always sound as loud as this?
Thank God it is now Boxing Day!
With another Christmas passed
But we did enjoy ourselves you know
And the debris never lasts.

The Colours Of Emotions
One must not just write of the sad times,
But the good times as well.
It is amazing to watch ones heart swell
Even more then all tear drops falling upon this world.
It spins, turns and swirls.
To make a joke of it one must first understand what that person went through.
I look back at past events in my life and now laugh, while others are still hard to talk about.
Anger, sadness, pain and doubt
Every emotion bares a meaning, like sparks they fly across the moonlit sky.
All the colours go off so bright just the like the celebration of the fourth of July.
And if it becomes an everyday pun they will dim, flicker and be snuffed out.
For the sake entertainment, money, and personal pleasure.
I write not to impress,
But to deal with all bottled up emotions that I would otherwise suppress.
A written retreat.
So I can finally rest my head and sleep.
It is not a conquest.
But a relief to all the stress.
A calmness as the heart still beats.
A solemn promise to never admit defeat.

Deep Down Inside
Deep down inside hidden within
hides the pain of my soul, dark memories from back then
so fresh in my heart they seem never to leave me alone
and just when i think happiness is mine, pain reminds me its not gone
in the windows of my soul, pain sits near
leaking out every now and then in the form of a innocent tear
the pain behind the tear is far greater than the little water that slides down my face
its the origin that holds the pain, reality that fills the space
for my tears never reveal the pain in my cry
and happiness is all thats seen to the naked eye
never letting anyone truly understand the reason behind tears rain
for they always hear the story, not once seeing the pain
as if it could be understood, the reason for hearts cry
for my mind has already concluded reality as being the reason why
in all my pain and struggles ive never been able to stop time
ive only allowed pain to pile giving it permission to forever be mine
but the windows of my pain tell a truth, that even i sometimes cant see
all the pain and struggles that ive swallowed through the years has made a warrior out of me
for i am a ball of strength, only revealing a smile
and wisdom has led me to believe throughout the years its strength and not pain that has continued to pile
sometimes my wisdom and heart just dont agree
my soul has to be reminded that this is my reality
that all this pain was built from way back then
and behind hearts door, and souls window my true pain hides within

How load is pain?
How loud is pain?
Can any one hear does anyone know?
Can you see my sat hunched against the wall.
Just how much futher can I fall?
Here I am all the pain pileing on.
How loud is pain?
Can any one see my hidden tears?
Can anyone see all my fears?
I wonder why all these years?
Just how much more can I take?
How loud is pain?
Can pain ever be clear?
My heart is braking in two.
Here I sit my back against the wall.
My head in my knees.
Only I know the truth.
How loud is pain?

Sleep little flea
Little boy ? me?
A freak
Am I clean?
([background whisper] sleep)
I feel like men
(sleep little flea)
I feel like boys
(little boy me)
I think Im peeling
And the ring in my ears
From playing too loud
I hear the ocean
I hear the crowd
Disconnected
I am unattached
Unmade bed makes me feel like a failure
Bedroom eyes lead to blurry vision
Blurry vision
Oh...
Oh...
And the ring in my ears
From playing too loud
I hear the ocean
I hear the crowd
Too pale, too sick
Too scrawny
But Ill sleep here anyway
And the sheets smell like bodies
Not mine
Not yours
Not yours...
Its 2 am
And its quiet again
Wheres my lip gloss?
And the ring in my ears
From playing too loud
I hear the ocean
I hear the crowd
And the ring in my ears
From playing too loud
I hear the ocean
I hear the crowd
And the ring in my ears
From playing too loud
I hear the ocean
I hear the crowd

Back Door Man
Im every man here in disguise
Lie cheat and give you a spoonful of lies
Im a high toned mother with an axe to grind
Come a little closer honey, see what you find
Your worst nightmares all rolled in one
Ill find you sure as the rising sun
Dont make a noise its understood
cos this aint no story like red riding hood
Im your back door man, Im your back door man oh yeah
Im your back door man, come on babe, and Ill take you where I can
Systematically I choose at will
But with you theres an obscene thrill
Its funny now how you cant say no
Its the smell of fear that you love so
Im your back door man, Im your back door man, oh yeah,
Im your back door man baby, just take it where you can
This first kiss has a touch of ice
Now hows that feel, it aint so nice
Blackhearted mamma Ive something new
Oh lord look what Ive turned into

Noise
Dads stuck in the factory, machines are banging all around.
Mommas in the kitchen, she got the radio on all the time.
My little sisters screaming, and stamping on the ground.
And the radio keeps pumping out the same old boring sound.
All I hear is noise.
Cant get away from the noise.
Can you hear me above the noise?
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Can you hear the noise? (noise)
Cant get away from the noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Banging in my ears, in every direction.
Listen to the roar, hear that city[? ], poundin, poundin.
There oughta be a law, hey buddy, turn that radio down.
Sometimes I get used to it and I forget that its around.
But all I hear is noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
All of this confusion is ruining my day.
Let the noise be like the sunset, and slowly fade away.
Fading, fade.
Girl, I want to build a better world for me and you.
I wanna pull out all the plugs before I finally blow my fuse.
Wish all the confusion would slowly fade away.
Id tell you that I love you, but you dont hear what I way.
All you hear is noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
Can you, can you, can you, can you, can you, can you hear me?
Noise in the street, theyre digging up the pavement.
Noise in the air, those traffic jams are everywhere.
Noise on noise, to cover up the noise.
The pressures building up because theres no way to avoid,
All the noise. (noise)
Cant get away from noise. (noise)
Can you hear me above the noise? (noise)
All of this confusion is ruining my day.
Let the noise be like the sunset, and slowly fade away.
Fading, fading.

A Poem Is Just A Poem
a poem is just a poem and if it is just a poem
it must be just a poem just like another poem
a poem is nothing but just a poem otherwise
it cannot be my poem; it may speak about
anything, or something, or about everything,
but my poem is just a poem just like anybody's
poem, which is just but a poem, like any other
poem, for a poem to be a poem it must just be
a poem: it has nothing to do with my love, and death
my life, or bliss, but as i have told you, once, twice
thrice, eat some rice, and be that wise, a poem is
just a poem, just like your poem. Why do you insist
on asking, what is happening to me? I am not a
poem, for i am but just the composer of the poem,
need i tell you again, that a poem is just a poem?
just like any other poem, which is just a poem
it is just a voice in my head that i have heard
someone comes and speaks and i listen so
this poem is not actually my poem but the poem
of someone else's: theirs not mine, from a mind.

A Quaint Little Rhyme
I used to dine on a variety of cheeses
Which made me gracious and fat,
I used to think that I looked like Jesus
Crossed with a wrinkled old Siamese cat,
But when I was cured of these strange diseases
I decided to call that that;
You shouldn't make fun of a fool that sneezes
While wearing a leopard-skin pillbox hat!
I'm inclined to laugh at a joke that pleases
Because a sense of humour is a wonderful thing,
And if I'm covered from head to toes in bruises
I'll still do my best to holler and sing;
A bloke's got to stick with the wife he chooses
And not mess around with her diamond ring,
It's only a villain who beats and abuses
And strangles his woman with a handful of string!
I suppose you wonder where this poem is leading
And think that I must be a little bit queer,
It's not just a matter of simple inbreeding
Or thinking the end of the world is near;
If you want to know, my poor heart is bleeding
And my spirit is tortured with anger and fear,
All hope of an answer is swiftly receding
So let's drown our sorrow in a barrel of beer!
