John Bunyan

An Introduction To The Ensuing Discourse.

These lines I at this time present
To all that will them heed,
Wherein I show to what intent
God saith, Convert[2] with speed.

For these four things come on apace,
Which we should know full well,
Both death and judgment, and, in place
Next to them, heaven and hell.

For doubtless man was never born
For this life and no more:
No, in the resurrection morn
They must have weal or woe.

Can any think that God should take
That pains, to form a man
So like himself, only to make
Him here a moment stand?

Or that he should make such ado,
By justice, and by grace;
By prophets and apostles too,
That men might see his face?

Or that the promise he hath made,
Also the threatenings great,
Should in a moment end and fade?
O! no, this is a cheat.

Besides, who is so mad, or worse,
To think that Christ should come
From glory, to be made a curse,
And that in sinners' room,

If nothing should by us be had
When we are gone from hence,
But vanities, while here? O mad
And foolish confidence.

Again, shall God, who is the truth,
Say there is heaven and hell
And shall men play that trick of youth
To say, But who can tell?

Shall he that keeps his promise sure
In things both low and small,
Yet break it like a man impure,
In matters great'st of all?

O, let all tremble at that thought,
That puts on God the lie,
That saith men shall turn unto nought
When they be sick and die.

Alas, death is but as the door
Through which all men do pass,
To that which they for evermore
Shall have by wrath or grace.

Let all therefore that read my lines,
Apply them to the heart:
Yea, let them read, and turn betimes,
And get the better part.

Mind therefore what I treat on here,
Yea, mind and weigh it well;
'Tis death and judgment, and a clear
Discourse of heaven and hell.

Heaven's Only Door

There is far too much presumption, concerning the time we pass away,
For so many fail to open The Word of God to see what He has to say.

For all men are destined once to die, and then must face judgment,
But many people die not knowing what's ahead, not even a tiny hint.

For some people are taught by others that everyone goes to Heaven,
But remember Jesus warned us to watch out for the Pharisee's leaven.

Many others turn away when you talk about Hell's Eternal Punishment,
They say He's a loving God and to such a place no one would be sent.

Another idea taught by many is that all roads will lead to the Lord,
This is taught by men who don't understand and The Bible is ignored.

Some believe they will enter Heaven when they see the life they had,
Resting in an empty hope, that their good will out weigh their bad.

There are also those who acknowledge God and know that He is Pure,
But comparing their self to Him they think they're in Hell for sure.

And some people don't believe in God or even in a life after death,
And believe they rot just like animals after their very last breath.

There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun, this you can be sure,
Dear friend forget about all the views above and listen to The Lord.

He died on Calvary's Cross-for the entire world and you can be sure,
And Christ is the way, the truth, the life, and Heaven's Only Door.

Easter

On Christmas day
Was born a babe,
Who brought forth joy
And peace on earth.

On Easter day,
Lord Christ, who died,
Came back to life
All on his own.

Prophets had died;
Saints too had died;
Great men had died;
But none returned.

Just Jesus Christ
Rose on third day;
He won over death,
And Satan lost.

The death of Christ,
Resurrection,
Victory o’er death
Brought redemption-

For all mankind,
For endless time;
Heaven was now
Open to all.

Sinners who say
‘I’m sorry, God,
And repent well,
Can avoid hell’

Christ paid the price
Of mankind’s sins
By death on cross,
And his suffering.

When we do sins,
They wound the Lord,
And hurt him more
And make him sore,

Let’s rise with Christ;
Renounce Satan,
His pomps and works;
Live for Christ’s sake.

Heaven is ours.
Christ is the way;
He is the Truth;
He is the Light.

Let’s follow Christ
To Calvary;
And heaven-wards:
ETERNITY!

Sonnet: Death, Thou Art Great!

Death, Thou art not as cruel as I thought!
Today, I understand Thy special role;
And without thee, this world would be a naught;
Neither Heaven nor Hell would get a soul!

O Death, Thou Thief of Time, when world began!
How stealthily thy job, Thou renderest!
Of all God’s creatures, Thou art cursed by man;
Although, Thou servest him Thy very best.

If man knew when Thou taketh him away,
He would make up for all his sinful ways;
And keep accounts straight for God’s Judgment-Day,
When Hell would cease to exist in that case.

When Heaven could turn meaningless a place!
Then how would men ev’r see the Maker’s face?

John Bunyan

From Mount Ebal

Thus having heard from Gerizzim, I shall
Next come to Ebal, and you thither call,

Not there to curse you, but to let you hear
How God doth curse that soul that shall appear

An unbelieving man, a graceless wretch;
Because he doth continue in the breach

Of Moses' law, and also doth neglect
To close with Jesus; him will God reject

And cast behind him; for of right his due
Is that from whence all miseries ensue.

Cursed, saith he, are thy that do transgress
The least of my commandments, more or less.

Nothing that written is must broken be,
But always must be kept unto by thee,

And must fulfilled be; for here no man
Can look God in the face, or ever stand

Before the judgment-seat; for if they be
Convict, condemned too assuredly.

Now keep this law no mortal creature can,
For they already do, as guilty, stand

Before the God that gave it; so that they
Obnoxious to the curse lie every day,

Which also they must feel for certainty,
If unto Jesus Christ they do not fly.

Hence, then, as they for ever shall be blest,
That do by faith upon the promise rest,

So peace unto the wicked there is none;
'Tis wrath and death that they must feed upon.

That what I say may some impression make
On carnal hearts, that they in time may take

That course that best will prove when time is done,
These lines I add to what I have begun.

First, thou must know that God, as he is love
So he is justice, therefore cannot move,

Or in the least be brought to favour those
His holiness and justice doth oppose.

For though thou mayst imagine in thy heart
That God is this or that, yet if thou art

At all besides the truth of what he is,
And so dost build thy hope for life amiss,

Still he the same abideth, and will be
The same, the same for ever unto thee.

As God is true unto his promise, so
Unto his threat'ning he is faithful too.

Cease to be God he must, if he should break
One tittle that his blessed mouth did speak.

Now, then, none can be saved but the men
With whom the Godhead is contented when

It them beholds with the severest eye
Of justice, holiness, and yet can spy

No fault nor blemish in them; these be they
That must be saved, as the Scriptures say.

If this be true, as 'tis assuredly,
Woe be to them that wicked live and die;

Those that as far from holiness have been
All their life long as if no eye had seen

Their doings here, or as if God did not
At all regard, or in the least mind what,

Wherein, or how they did his law transgress,
Either by this or other wickedness;

But how deceived these poor creatures are,
They then shall know when they their burthen bear.

Alas, our God is a consuming fire;
So is his law, by which he doth require

That thou submit to him, and if thou be
Not in that justice found that can save thee

From all and every sentence which he spake
Upon mount Sinai, then as one that brake

It, thou the flames thereof shall quickly find
As scourges thee to lash, while sins do bind

Thee hand and foot, for ever to endure
The strokes of vengeance for thy life impure.

What I have said will yet evinced be,
And manifest abundantly to thee,

If what I have already spoken to
Be joined with these lines that do ensue.

Justice discovers its antipathy
Against profaneness and malignity.

Not only by the law it gave to men,
And threatenings thereunto annexed then.

But inasmuch as long before that day,
He did prepare for such as go astray,

That dreadful, that so much amazing place–
Hell, with its torments–for those men that grace

And holiness of life slight and disdain,
There to bemoan themselves with hellish pain.

This place, also, the pains so dismal be,
Both as to name and nature, that in me

It is not to express the damning wights,
The hellish torture, and the fearful plights

Thereof; for as intolerable they
Must needs be found, by those that disobey

The Lord, so can no word or thought express
Unto the full the height of that distress;

Such miserable caitiffs, that shall there
Rebukes of vengeance, for transgressions bear.

Indeed the holy Scriptures do make use
Of many metaphors, that do conduce

Much to the symbolizing of the place,
Unto our apprehension; but the case–

The sad, the woeful case–of those that lie
As racked there in endless misery,

By all similitudes no mortals may
Set forth in its own nature; for I say

Similitudes are but a shade, and show
Of those or that they signify to you.

The fire that doth within thine oven burn,
The prison where poor people sit and mourn,

Chains, racks, and darkness, and such others, be
As painting on the wall, to let thee see

By word and figures the extremity
Of such as shall within these burnings lie.

But certainly, if wickedness and sin
Had only foolish toys and trifles been,

And if God had not greatly hated it,
Yea, could he any ways thereof admit,

And let it pass, he would not thus have done.
He doth not use to punish any one

With any place or punishment that is
Above or sharper than the sin of his

Hath merited, and justice seeth due;
Read sin, then, by the death that doth ensue.

Most men do judge of sin, not by the fruits
It bears and bringeth forth, but as it suits

Their carnal and deluded hearts, that be
With sensual pleasures eaten up; but he

That now so judgeth, shortly shall perceive
That God will judge thereof himself, and leave

Such men no longer to their carnal lusts,
To judge of wickedness, and of the just

And righteous punishment that doth of right
Belong thereto; and will, too, in despite

Of all their carnal reason, justify
Himself, in their eternal misery.

Then hell will be no fancy, neither will
Men's sins be pleasant to them; but so ill

And bitter, yea, so bitter, that none can
Fully express the same, or ever stand

Under the burden it will on them lay,
When they from life and bliss are sent away.

When I have thought how often God doth speak
Of their destruction, who HIS law do break;

And when the nature of the punishment
I find so dreadful, and that God's intent,

Yea, resolution is, it to inflict
On every sinner that shall stand convict,

I have amazed been, yet to behold,
To see poor sinners yet with sin so bold,

That like the horse that to the battle runs,
Without all fear, and that no danger shuns,

Till down he falls. O resolute attempts!
O sad, amazing, damnable events!

The end of such proceedings needs must be,
From which, O Lord, save and deliver me.

But if thou think that God thy noble race
Will more respect, than into such a place

To put thee; hold, though thou his offspring be,
And so art lovely, yet sin hath made thee

Another kind of creature than when thou
Didst from his fingers drop, and therefore now

Thy first creation stands thee in no stead;
Thou hast transgressed, and in very deed

Set God against thee, who is infinite,
And that for certain never will forget

Thy sins, nor favour thee if thou shalt die
A graceless man; this is thy misery.

When angels sinned, though of higher race
Than thou, and also put in higher place,

Yet them he spared not, but cast them down
From heaven to hell; where also they lie bound

In everlasting chains, and no release
Shall ever have, but wrath, that shall increase

Upon them, to their everlasting woe.
As for the state they were exalted to,

That will by no means mitigate their fear,
But aggravate their hellish torment here;

For he that highest stands, if he shall fall,
His danger needs must be the great'st of all.

Now if God noble angels did not spare
Because they did transgress, will he forbear

Poor dust and ashes? Will he suffer them
To break his law, and sin, and not condemn

Them for so doing? Let not man deceive
Himself or others; they that do bereave

Themselves by sin of happiness, shall be
Cut off by justice, and have misery.

Witness his great severity upon
The world that first was planted, wherein none

But only eight the deluge did escape,
All others of that vengeance did partake;

The reason was, that world ungodly stood
Before him, therefore he did send the flood,

Which swept them all away. A just reward
For their most wicked ways against the Lord,

Who could no longer bear them and their ways,
Therefore into their bosom vengeance pays.

We read of Sodom, and Gomorrah too,
What judgments they for sin did undergo;

How God from heaven did fire upon them rain,
Because they would not wicked ways refrain;

Condemning of them with an overthrow,
And turned them to ashes. Who can know

The miseries that these poor people felt
While they did underneath those burnings melt?

Now these, and many more that I could name,
That have been made partakers of the flame

And sword of justice, God did then cut off,
And make examples unto all that scoff

At holiness, or do the gospel slight;
And long it will not be before the night

And judgment, painted out by what he did
To Sodom and Gomorrah, fulfilled

Upon such sinners be, that they may now
That God doth hate the sin, and persons too.

Of such as still rebellious shall abide,
Although they now at judgment may deride.

What Is Heaven?

Is Heaven just a place to go, when through with this life we know?
Is Heaven that place for everyone, when life on this earth is done?
Is Heaven, not a placed called Hell, where after life, all shall dwell?
A final place to rest in peace, in blissful comfort that won’t cease?

Or, is Heaven to you much more, than rest beyond a golden door?
Do you desire to be in Heaven, beyond earth’s twenty-four seven?
Heaven is that true home above, for all who embraced God’s Love.
That love He showed on Calvary, where Christ died for you and me.

Do you know Christ, yourself, Who provides us with eternal wealth?
Providing believers an eternal home, granted from Heaven’s Throne;
But not all will accept God’s Son, although Christ died for everyone,
And they will not secure a place, in a home that’s supplied by Grace.

For Christ spoke of Heaven and Hell, when to His hearers He did tell,
About two very opposing destinies, while both shall still be eternities,
One for those who would believe, who, The Father above will receive,
And one for rejecters of The Lord, who, by our Father will be ignored.

Both being choices, which we make, when God we accept or forsake,
Heaven for all who accept Christ, through who God offers eternal life,
Hell for after one’s final breath, rejecting Christ, to enter eternal death.
Eternal places ahead for everyone, for their choice, about God’s Son.

So Many Just Don’t Know

So many people just don’t know, when they die, where they will go.
For there is a Heaven up ahead, and there is a hell below to dread.
So many people just aren’t sure, where they’ll spend for evermore.
But there’s no need for us to fear, for the Word of God is very clear.

It is not something to be ignored, for all men will soon see The Lord.
All men will see Judgment my friend, when this life comes to an end.
Open The Word and you will see, there’s much to read on Eternity.
Some may even be surprised, if they would only open up their eyes.

There is indeed a Hell to shun, eternal darkness that’s far from fun,
It’s not the place of one’s desire, but a bottomless pit of eternal fire.
There is indeed Heaven to gain, God’s time ahead of eternal reign,
Where we will reign from Paradise, in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Some will be judged for their life, on how they lived for Jesus Christ,
Others shall be judged for unbelief, and for them there’ll be no relief.
To outer darkness they’ll be consigned, away from Christ for all time.
But by God’s amazing Grace, for all believers He’s prepared a place.

Many will go where they go, simply because they chose not to know,
Instead choosing to believe a lie; nothing happens to us when we die.
Whether or not they want to believe, the Truth of Eternity all shall see.
But much too late to choose to know, where in eternity they would go.

On Anne Allen

The wind blew keenly from the Western sea,
And drove the dead leaves slanting from the tree--
Vanity of vanities, the Preacher saith--
Heaping them up before her Father's door
When I saw her whom I shall see no more--
We cannot bribe thee, Death.

She went abroad the falling leaves among,
She saw the merry season fade, and sung--
Vanity of vanities the Preacher saith--
Freely she wandered in the leafless wood,
And said that all was fresh, and fair, and good--
She knew thee not, O Death.

She bound her shining hair across her brow,
She went into the garden fading now;
Vanity of vanities the Preacher saith--
And if one sighed to think that it was sere,
She smiled to think that it would bloom next year!
She feared thee not, O Death.

Blooming she came back to the cheerful room
With all the fairer flowers yet in bloom--
Vanity of vanities the Preacher saith--
A fragrant knot for each of us she tied,
And placed the fairest at her Father's side--
She cannot charm thee, Death.

Her pleasant smile spread sunshine upon all;
We heard her sweet clear laughter in the Hall--
Vanity of vanities the Preacher saith--
We heard her sometimes after evening prayer,
As she went singing softly up the stair--
No voice can charm thee, Death.

Where is the pleasant smile, the laughter kind,
That made sweet music of the winter wind?
Vanity of vanities the Preacher saith--
Idly they gaze upon her empty place,
Her kiss hath faded from her Father's face--
She is with thee, O Death.

Learn From The Holy Bible:

About the God of creation;
About His Kingdom called Heaven;
About His angels and saints;
About His glory and power.

About the narrow road to Heaven;
About the broad paths to hell;
About His Ten Commandments;
About the need to avoid sins.

About the prophets and their prophecies;
About true stories that occurred before Christ;
About the infinite mercy of God;
About His just punishments as well.

About the love of God for man;
About the birth, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ;
About the Last Judgment Day;
About the second coming of Christ.

About the need to repent for our sins;
About the forgiveness of sins;
About how to live a good Christian life;
About the end of the world!

For My Father

Reaching upward as I never believed
I could do, not within this moment-
Searching for life’s meaning, heaven sent and
Written across the stone of some unfamiliar despondent
Figure from my past-
Was an invitation for me to follow in your footsteps –
Much less you, my own father who passed away years ago
I can almost hear you calling my name aloud as I
Search for relief from all of the pain-
My stone is waiting and patiently standing- in my dying breath- as
I climb this stairway towards hell- I say-
Father you were a good man with such a zest for life although
Only evil people with no conscience
Burn in hell’s brush fire
In your eyes and mine likewise death is hell
In itself- in our eyes life has always been a challenge,
Life is indeed a gift- while death is a rude awakening-
Perhaps if I climb this ladder I am tenuously holding onto-
I will find you once again when I reach the top-
I remember being your one and only,
As I remember you to be a godsend –
Reaching upward is reaching outward to
Embrace the most gentle, loving and
The most gallant man- in all due respect-
Meeting you face to face once more
Would erase the pain of loss I feel and
In my heart, mind and spirit-
Loss is none but hell and reuniting with you
Will give us both a second chance at life –
- Let hell’s fire burn-if not for just this moment-
It shall light the candle I hold in my hand
Blazing a path before me- until we meet once more-
Much less to be held in your arms-
The heaven of both of our dreams come true-
Love puts out all malevolent fires-as would a fountain of youth or
A cleansing shower- let fondest memories of the good times
We shared turn the hell of death to
A warm rebirth – no matter where that light shall guide us-
That place shall be our one and only heaven-

Many Beliefs, But One Way

Many beliefs have been touted to be, alternate pathways to Eternity,
For since He is a God of Love, there’s many ways to Heaven above.
Saying a loving God wouldn’t send, anyone into Hell my dear friend.
Saying every man from every place, will in Heaven see God’s Face.

Friend, some dear folk even say, living a good life is one sure way,
Why others believe their religiosity, will pave their way into eternity.
One thing all these people know, is Heaven’s where they want to go,
But knowing where they want to be, won’t assure Heaven in eternity.

Many profess to believe in God, while saying it with a confident nod.
One Truth they do not embrace, is the Saving Work of God’s Grace.
Where do you find God’s Saving Grace, it is found in just one place,
And that one place is the Cross, where the Lamb died for all the lost.

Some grow up having understood, to get to Heaven we must be good.
What about the thief next to Christ, that same day he was in Paradise,
Not because he lived a good life; it was because he believed in Christ.
His evil life put him on that tree; his belief in Christ gained him eternity.

It is God’s Truth men must believe, and God’s Son they must receive.
Men may not know God’s only Son, the Lamb who died for everyone.
Christ died that day for you and me, so all men need to do is believe.
The moment you accept Him friend, Heaven not Hell will be your end.

A good life won’t give one certainty, like The Lord gives to you and me.
Good works point to men not Christ, for securing for them Eternal Life.
Christ not I, bore all of God’s wrath, to pave for me God’s Eternal path.
It’s not a good life that sets us free, but belief in the One from Calvary.

Heaven And Hell

What if I told you
There was no place you could run to
To hide from your fears
Where good is bad and bad is good
And all the cries your cry
No one can hear
Is it heaven - is it hell
Life is what you make it only time will tell
Is it heaven - is it hell
Life is what you make it only time...
Need someone to talk to
But theres no one you can turn to
You cry out in despair
Gotta feeling you should be kneeling on your knees
You scream to the air
Lord the pain it takes its toll
The devil wants to take my soul
Tell me what should I do
The answer that you need to find
Is in the seeds youve sown
Its all up to you
Its your life - its up to you
Now its time to choose
Death and destruction is all in your mind
Could hell be the place for the peace you must find
Its your life - its up to you
Now its time to choose
Is God your savior - the key to the light
Or is it hell burning the flames so bright
Its your life - its up to you
Now its time to choose
Times running out - not a second to pause
Be strong in your choice
The decision is yours
Its your life - its up to you
Now its time to choose

Before Departing

Regarding the One, who died for sin, don’t plan to leave without Him,
Don’t you dare leave this earth, unless you’ve experienced New Birth,
Man’s Spiritual Birth, in God’s Son, The Lamb who died for everyone,
The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died so we can have new life.

All men are born on earth naturally, but, shall end their lives spiritually,
And all must become Born Again, as God’s mandate to reach Heaven,
This is The Lord’s only doable plan, for every mortal woman and man,
To reach from this earth immortality, then move into Heaven, eternally.

The Lord does not change, so we must, to avoid returning to the dust,
At the moment of our last breath, consigned to Hell and eternal death,
This change that God’s speaking of, is a glorious change from above,
A change God can make in all of us, through the Spirit of Christ Jesus.

Most will choose Heaven, not Hell, the choice believed sound and well,
But based on merit of their own, while dismissing belief in Christ alone,
As hearts may not be at the place, to understand God’s work of Grace,
Fact, that no one’s good, no not one, and our trust must be in His Son.

In Christ alone we find our Salvation, man’s Redeemer for every nation,
Our salvation alone is in the Name, Christ Jesus, who all men proclaim,
The Savior Himself has told all men, to get into Heaven, be Born Again,
This Truth indeed must be in our heart, before from earth, we do depart.

Every Knee Shall Bow

One day every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess just how,
Jesus Christ is The Lord of all, men and nations both big and small.
For The Lord has raised His name, above the earth’s greatest fame,
The name above Heaven and earth, that for man is of eternal worth.
His name friend is a strong tower; a sure refuge in the darkest hour,
The place where the righteous run, preserved forever by God’s Son.
A name we can call on any hour, for His grace and sustaining power.

Christ humbled Himself on the cross, to save a world of sinners lost,
From that cross that He endured, God reconciled sinners to the Lord.
Upon the cross Christ took our place, saving sinners by God’s Grace.
This Grace is offered to everyone, through the atonement of His Son.
Now all authority’s been given to, The Son who died for me and you,
The One to whom we now gratefully, call our Lord upon bended knee.
Judgment’s now in Christ’s hands; God’s Judgment upon all the lands.

Jesus Christ’s Power and Authority, will reign throughout all of Eternity.
Christ, who on that cross had died, is now seated at The Father’s side,
Seated in Heaven as we speak, but is coming back to close that week,
The week of wrath God will start, witnessed by every unbelieving heart.
Even then men won’t bow to Him, because of hearts hardened by sin.
While others will end those days, with bowing hearts of eternal praise,
Those others will bow in deep regret, knowing they face eternal death.

Don’t Leave Without Him

Don’t leave without the Lord Jesus, when life on this earth ceases,
You need to know Jesus friend, before your life comes to an end,
Death on this earth brings a new; an eternity, for both me and you,
One with The Lord God forever; or one where you’ll see Him never.

All need to know, He Who came, and life, shall never be the same,
He, Who came to save your soul, from the penalty of Adam’s fall,
He, Who bore God’s righteous wrath, to put us on a different path,
A path which leads to Eternal Life, through The Lord, Jesus Christ.

God’s Eternal Truth, all should heed, for Jesus Christ, all will need,
Hearing this Truth, some may scoff; while others, simply put it off,
Saying I don’t need Christ now, but, maybe another day somehow,
However, if you wait too long, you will be singing a different song.

Everyone will experience eternity; difference is which side you see.
Some shall enter Heavenly Bliss, a place that many souls will miss,
For others will see a darker side, because God’s Truth they denied.
Heaven or Hell, all shall choose, one choice you win, one you lose,

The fact Jesus Christ already won, a place in Heaven for everyone,
Who, embraces as Savior, Christ, while on earth, you still have life,
For believers Christ gained victory, over Hell and death on Calvary,
Today if Christ you truly embrace, Heaven shall be your final place.

Heaven and Hell are Real

Our faith in God must come right from our hearts;
No one can see the God of creation;
We know of God certainly through Nature;
The Bible speaks enough of God’s kingdom.

Infinite love of God for man is clear;
God cares for every creature made by Him;
God punishes to cleanse our soul sin-free;
The Maker is a loving, living God.

God may permit sorrows and grief for man;
He will not give him more than he can bear;
Our God is fair and just in everything;
He made heaven for man out of great love.

Through Nature’s furies, God warns all bad men;
By stern punishments, God reminds man’s wrongs;
The love of God made man so perfectly;
The love of God wants souls to stay in grace.

Our savior Christ had bled to death on cross;
He paid a bloody price for all men’s sins;
Even the worst sinner can now see God;
Repent to enter Kingdom of heaven.

Why blame the God of love for our own faults?
Why not believe in God, rather in science?
Man’s toil per se can’t do the greatest feats;
We need God’s help to subdue the devil.

Victory against the devil is real;
All men can win the war against Satan;
Our God made hell for angels-turned devils;
But evil men will get a similar fate.

Awake, O mind, heart, soul of man on earth!
Lord Jesus comes again in short a time;
He’ll take pure souls to heaven instantly;
Unrepentant sinners will land in hell!

Heaven And Hell

Imagine no Heaven and no Hell, these are words on which to dwell,
Written by a spiritually empty pen, this, to deceive a world of men.
Told to think about just today, ignoring what God’s Word does say,
Suggesting nothing about eternity, but only what their eyes can see.

But, there is a Heaven up above, a place in Eternity, filled with love,
The dwelling place of Eternal God, reigning above the earth we trod.
And there really is a Hell beneath, full of wailing and gnashing teeth.
The Hell Christ described my friend, is a lake of fire that has no end.

This man’s imagination will not last, when his life upon earth is past,
And indeed all men will face reality, when they pass on into eternity.
Heaven and Hell were spoke of, by Jesus Christ, who reigns above.
Hell was created by God for sin, that in mortal bodies reigns within,

Created for Satan and his crew, not initially intended for me or you,
A place in Heaven is prepared for us, who in Christ place their trust,
But, one thing that cannot enter in, the Glories of Heaven is our sin.
So Christ came as our sacrifice, to cleanse believers, for Paradise.

Up in Heaven not down in Hell, is where believers one day will dwell,
And not through vain imagination, but through God’s great Salvation.
Hell eternally is prepared for, Satan and all men who reject The Lord,
Far from a mindless interjection, it is for many their eternal selection.

View From Heaven

i'm just so tired
wont you sing me to sleep
and fly through my dreams
so i can hitch a ride with you tonight
and get away from this place
have a new name and face
i just aint the same without you in my life
late night drives, all alone in my car
i can't help but start
singing lines from all our favorite songs
and melodies in the air
singin life just aint fair
sometimes i still just can't believe you're gone
and im sure the view from heaven
beats the hell out of mine here
and if we all believe in heaven,
maybe we'll make it through one more year
down here
feel your fire,
when its cold in my heart
and things sorta start
remindin' me of my last night with you
i only need one more day
just one more chance to say
i wish that i had gone up with you too
and i'm sure the view from heaven
beats the hell out of mine here
and if we all believe in heaven
maybe we'll make it through one more year
down here
you wont be comin' back
and i didn't get to say goodbye
i really wish i got to say goodbye
and im sure the view from heaven
beats the hell out of mine here
and if we all believe in heaven
maybe we'll make it through one more year
i hope that all is well in heaven
cuz its all shot to hell down here
i hope that i find you in heaven
cuz i'm so...
lost without you down here
you wont be coming back
and i didn't get to say goodbye
i really wish i got to say gooooodbye

Eternal Truths

In God’s Word you will hear, Eternal Truths, all men should fear,
A fear that comes as you heed, the Truths of God that you read,
Eternal Truths for all us to see, revealed by God to you and me,
A Divinely inspired Revelation, by God to lead men to salvation.

Revealing His Truth, for us to tell, others about Heaven and Hell,
Through the Holy Spirit of Christ, He shows eternal truths of life,
And He, who gave all men breath, speaks to all of eternal death,
God sets right before everyone, death or Eternal Life in His Son.

The fear God puts in me and you, is reverence to see us through,
To Guide us on this temporal earth, to that place of eternal worth,
As God moves upon our heart, with a Love, which will not depart,
And a fear that makes men wise, as His Spirit opens up our eyes.

They just say we have no proof, about God’s Word we call Truth,
And so God’s Truth they deny, embracing instead, the Devil’s lie;
Although you will die my friend, the eternal soul will have no end,
Your body in the ground may rot, but, your eternal soul shall not.

Some may read and simply say, that all men will just die anyway,
With no care at all, when or why, or where they go when they die,
But, every soul at its last breath, will face God and eternal death,
Unless a soul knows Jesus Christ, then he enters into eternal life.

The Judgement Throne Of God

To stand before the great judgement throne
My nakedness exposed and all alone
To watch my life played out before God
Seeing all my deeds and the paths I've trod
To feel my soul exposed to the Eternal Light
Under scrutiny of God's all seeing eye so bright
Would hold such dread and shame for me.

Can anyone pass this great test of holiness?
For just one sin will expose their unworthiness
The sentence would be passed upon their soul
where the worm dies not into Hell be cast
And the fire burns on and for eternity will last
That place of eternal torment and agony
It holds such dread and shame for me.

Is there no hope or any way that I can escape?
The wages of my sin deserves the sentence of death
I know that I am guilty of sin my Lord
I wish to escape that dreaded throne of God
Where can I go? Where can I flee?
Help me my Lord what can be done for me?
Hell holds such dread and shame for me.

Then I heard the voice of Jesus say
'Roy, Come to me and walk my way.
Your redemption has been secured by me
When I died upon the cross to set you free
It was your sins that nailed me there
'It is finished' was my cry of victory
The dread of hell and shame was borne by me.

'For I paid the price for your sin when I died
And God's law I have completely satisfied.
When you stand before the judgment throne
You do not stand there all on your own
It is my perfect life that He sees Instead.
I washed away your sin with the blood I've shed
For that wrath has now been borne by Me'

Your name I've written in The Book of Life.
No more for you the wrath of God shall be
For God so loved the world you see
that He gave His only Son to die at Calvary
So that whoever believes in Him
Should not perish but have eternal life'
Now hell holds no dread or shame for me.

Such mercy is undeserved and I am blessed
For if entry to heaven was based on sinlessness
Then only Jesus would be allowed to go in
And all mankind will be excluded due to sin
It is by God's grace and mercy alone
For on the cross He died for sin to atone
Now God's love and mercy is lavished on me.

Nailing it to the cross and taking it to the grave.
In rising from the dead He has now displayed
His victory over death and the grave
For Satan could find
No sin in him to hold him there.
Death has been swallowed up in victory
The law of God is satisfied so completely

God has now kissed the world in love
Extending his salvation from heaven above
To all who come to the cross and believe in Him
I am glad to say that a believer in Jesus I am
For the Way, the Truth and the Life is He
instead of judgement I have Life more abundantly
All because of the great love Jesus has for me.

'Go live for Me and do the work I do
I died as part of God's plan for you.'
